What we deliberately do not collect

• We never store your IP address. It is held in memory only long enough to look up a country code, then discarded.
• No city or coordinates — only a two-letter country code.
• No Google Analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no third-party trackers.
• We never sell, trade or rent any data.
• No account registration; no names, phone numbers or demographics.

What we do process

• Visitor identifier — the first 16 characters of sha256(random salt + IP + user agent). The raw IP is not kept and the salt can be rotated at any time, after which old records cannot be linked to new visitors. Used only to avoid counting the same reading twice within an hour.
• Country code — to learn which regions need which languages.
• View records (timestamp, video id, book) — kept 400 days, then aggregated.
• Email address — only if you subscribe or leave feedback. Double opt-in; every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Cookies

No tracking cookies. Only browser localStorage for your language and playback preferences, which never leaves your device.

YouTube API Services

Our readings are also published on our YouTube channel Verbum · 聖言. The site operator uses YouTube API Services solely to upload our own videos to our own channel, set thumbnails and build playlists.

• Visitors are never asked to authorise any YouTube or Google permission.
• The player on this site is not a YouTube embed — video is served from our own CDN, so browsing this site sets no YouTube cookies.
• Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

• You can revoke any application's access to your Google account at Google security settings.

Deletion and your rights

Email u97001062@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, to delete your subscription or feedback, or to unsubscribe. We respond within 30 days. Because view records contain nothing that identifies you (no IP, no account), we usually cannot single out records as "yours" — a deliberate trade-off in favour of anonymity.
