8:1
ከመ፡ ዝ፡ አርአየኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወናሁ፡ ሙዳየ፡ ዔረግ።
主耶和華又指示我一件事：我看見一筐夏天的果子。
Thus the Lord Yahweh showed me: behold, a basket of summer fruit.
8:2
ይቤለኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ምንተ፡ ትሬኢ፡ አሞጽወ፡ ወእቤ፡ ሙዳ፡ ዔረግ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በጽሐቶሙ፡ ማኀለቅቶሙ፡ ለሕዝብየ፡ እሰስራኤል፡ ኢያነሐሲ፡ ሎሙ፡ እንከ፡ ዳግመ።
他說：「阿摩司啊，你看見甚麼？」我說：「看見一筐夏天的果子。」耶和華說：「我民以色列的結局到了，我必不再寬恕他們。」
He said, “Amos, what do you see?” I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then Yahweh said to me, “The end has come on my people Israel. I will not again pass by them any more.
8:3
ወየአወይው፡ ምበኰራባቲሆ፡ ሙ፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር። እስመ፡ በዝኀ፡ አብድንቲሆሙ፡ ዜትነጻኀ፡ ወስተ፡ ኰሉ፡ በሐውርት፡ ወይትሐጎሉ።
主耶和華說：「那日，殿中的詩歌變為哀號；必有許多屍首在各處拋棄，無人作聲。」
The songs of the temple will be wailing in that day,” says the Lord Yahweh. “The dead bodies will be many. In every place they will throw them out with silence.
8:4
ስምዑ፡ ዘንተ፡ እለ፡ ታግዕሩ፡ ነዳይ፡ በጽባሕ፡ ወትትዔገሉ፡ ምስኪነ፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር።
你們這些要吞吃窮乏人、 使困苦人衰敗的，當聽我的話！
Hear this, you who desire to swallow up the needy, and cause the poor of the land to fail,
8:5
እለ፡ ብሉ፡ ማእዜ፡ ይሠርቅ፡ ወርኀ፡ ንምላእ፡ ላዋናስተማልእ፡ ወሰንበታቲነ፡ ወናርኁ፡ መዛግብቲቲነ፡ ወንግበር፡ መስፈርተ፡ ንስቲተ፡ ወናዕቢ፡ ማዳዳልወ፡ ዓመፃ።
你們說：月朔幾時過去， 我們好賣糧； 安息日幾時過去， 我們好擺開麥子； 賣出用小升斗， 收銀用大戥子， 用詭詐的天平欺哄人，
saying, ‘When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may market wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel large, and dealing falsely with balances of deceit;
8:6
ወንቅንዩ፡ ለነዳይ፡ በዕን፡ ወይኲነነ፡ ምስኪነ፡ ዘንኬድ፡ ህየንተ፡ አሳእኒና፡ ውትራባህ፡ በተግባራተ፡ እክልነ።
好用銀子買貧寒人， 用一雙鞋換窮乏人， 將壞了的麥子賣給人。
that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals, and sell the sweepings with the wheat?’”
8:7
መሐለኬ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በእንተ፡ ትዝኀርቱ፡ ለያዕቆብ፡ ከመ፡ ኢያኀልቅ፡ ተመውኦተክሙ፡ በእነተ፡ ኲሉ፡ ምግባሪክሙ።
耶和華指着雅各的榮耀起誓說： 他們的一切行為，我必永遠不忘。
Yahweh has sworn by the pride of Jacob, “Surely I will never forget any of their works.
8:8
ኢትተሀወክኑ፡ ምድር፡ በዝኒ፡ ወይላሕው፡ ኲሎሙ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስቴተ፡ ወይውኀዝ፡ ከመ፡ ፈልግ፡ ቀትል፡ ወይመልእ፡ ከመ፡ ፈለግ፡ ግብጽ።
地豈不因這事震動？ 其上的居民不也悲哀嗎？ 地必全然像尼羅河漲起， 如同埃及河湧上落下。
Won’t the land tremble for this, and everyone mourn who dwells in it? Yes, it will rise up wholly like the River; and it will be stirred up and sink again, like the River of Egypt.
8:9
ወይከውን፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላክ፡ የዕርብ፡ ፀሃይ፡ መዓልተ፡ ቃትር፡ ወይጸልም፡ በዲበ፡ ምድር፡ በዕለተ፡ ብርሃን።
主耶和華說：到那日， 我必使日頭在午間落下， 使地在白晝黑暗。
It will happen in that day,” says the Lord Yahweh, “that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day.
8:10
ወእሬስዩ፡ ላሐ፡ ለበዓላቲክሙ፡ ወይከውነክሙ፡ ሰቆቃወ፡ ኲሉ፡ መኃዮክሙ፡ ወአቀንተክሙ፡ ብልባለውተ፡ ሐቃክመሙ፡ ወኢወዲ፡ ብረሐተ፡ ውስተ፡ ርእስ፡ ኲልክሙ፡ እሬስየክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ላሐ፡ ፍቁር፡ ወእለሒ፡ ምስሌሁ፡ ይከውኑ፡ ከመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ማሕማም።
我必使你們的節期變為悲哀， 歌曲變為哀歌。 眾人腰束麻布，頭上光禿， 使這場悲哀如喪獨生子， 至終如痛苦的日子一樣。
I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will make you wear sackcloth on all your bodies, and baldness on every head. I will make it like the mourning for an only son, and its end like a bitter day.
8:11
እስመ፡ ናሁ፡ ይምጽእ፡ መዋዕል፡ ይቤ፡ እግኢአብሔር፡ ወእፌኑ፡ ረኃብ፡ ውስተ፡ ብሔር፡ አኮ፡ ረኃብ፡ እክል፡ ወአኮ፡ ጽምአ፡ መይ፡ ረኃብሰ፡ ዘእምሰሚዐ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
主耶和華說：日子將到， 我必命饑荒降在地上。 人飢餓非因無餅，乾渴非因無水， 乃因不聽耶和華的話。
Behold, the days come,” says the Lord Yahweh, “that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing Yahweh’s words.
8:12
ወይትሐመግ፡ መየ፡ ባሕር፡ ወይረውጹ፡ እምደብቡ፡ እስከ፡ ጽባሕ፡ ይኀስሱ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢይረከቡ።
他們必飄流，從這海到那海， 從北邊到東邊，往來奔跑， 尋求耶和華的話，卻尋不着。
They will wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they will run back and forth to seek Yahweh’s word, and will not find it.
8:13
ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይጠፍኦ፡ ደናግል፡ ላህያ፡ ወይጠፍኡ፡ ወራዙት፡ ሠናያን፡ በጽምእ።
當那日，美貌的處女 和少年的男子必因乾渴發昏。
In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men will faint for thirst.
8:14
እለ፡ ይምሕለሉ፡ መብስሃለ፡ ሰማሪያ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብሉ፡ ሕይወተ፡ አምላክ፡ ዳ፡ ወሕወት፡ አምላክ፡ ቤርሳቤህ፡ ወኢይትንስኡ፡ እንከ።
那指着撒馬利亞牛犢 起誓的說： 但哪，我們指着你那裏的活神起誓； 又說：我們指着別是巴的神道 起誓。 這些人都必仆倒，永不再起來。
Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, ‘As your god, Dan, lives,’ and, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives,’ they will fall, and never rise up again.”
