Verbum (https://legeverbum.com) publishes readings of the Bible and early Christian literature in their original languages — Biblical Hebrew, Koine Greek, Latin and Ge'ez — with Chinese and English subtitles and study tools. The service is currently free.

Sources and licensing

• Original-language texts: public-domain critical editions
• Chinese: Chinese Union Version with New Punctuation (public domain)
• English: World English Bible (public domain)
• Voices: speech-synthesis models trained by us on recordings licensed in writing from four readers — Jesse Orloff (Greek); LibriVox "bedwere" (Latin, Public Domain Mark 1.0); ንባብ ቤት / eathebook.org (Ge'ez); Rabbi Dan Be'eri (Hebrew)
• Imagery: public-domain artworks and calligraphy backgrounds made by us
