1:1
(ኦሪት ፡ ዘኢየሱስ ።)ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተናገሮ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ነዌ ፡ ለላእኩ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፤
耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華曉諭摩西的幫手，嫩的兒子約書亞，說：
Now after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying,
1:2
ናሁ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔየ ፡ ወይእዜኒ ፡ ተንሥእ ፡ ወዕድዎ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ እሁበክሙ ፡ አነ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
「我的僕人摩西死了。現在你要起來，和眾百姓過這約旦河，往我所要賜給以色列人的地去。
“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.
1:3
ኵሎ ፡ መካነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኬደት ፡ እግርክሙ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ እሁበክሙዎ ፡ በከመ ፡ እቤሎ ፡ ለሙሴ ፤
凡你們腳掌所踏之地，我都照着我所應許摩西的話賜給你們了。
I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.
1:4
እምነ ፡ ገዳም ፡ [ወ]አንጢሊባኖን ፡ እስከ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ዐቢይ ፡ ፈለገ ፡ [ኤ]ፍራጥስ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ምድሮ ፡ ለኬጥያዊ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ደኃሪት ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ምዕራበ ፡ ፀሐይ ፡ ይኩንክሙ ፡ ደወልክሙ ።
從曠野和這黎巴嫩，直到幼發拉底大河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落之處，都要作你們的境界。
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.
1:5
ወአልቦ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ዘይትቃወም ፡ ቅድሜክሙ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሕይወትከ ፡ ወበከመ ፡ ሀለውኩ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ እሄሉ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወኢየኀድገከ ፡ ወኢይትዔወረከ ።
你平生的日子，必無一人能在你面前站立得住。我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在；我必不撇下你，也不丟棄你。
No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.
1:6
ጽናዕ ፡ ወትባዕ ፡ እስመ ፡ [አንተ ፡] ትከፍሎሙ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ መሐልኩ ፡ ለአበዊሆሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ አሀቦሙ ።
你當剛強壯膽！因為你必使這百姓承受那地為業，就是我向他們列祖起誓應許賜給他們的地。
“Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
1:7
ወባሕቱ ፡ ጽናዕ ፡ ወትባዕ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀብ ፡ ወትግበር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሕገ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ አዘዘከ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔየ ፡ ወኢትትገሐሥ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ኢለየማን ፡ ወኢለፀጋም ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ተሐውር ።
只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹守遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏離左右，使你無論往哪裏去，都可以順利。
Only be strong and very courageous. Be careful to observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
1:8
ወኢትትኀደግ ፡ መጽሐፉ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ [ሕግ ፡] እምነ ፡ አፉከ ፡ ወአንብብ ፡ ቦቱ ፡ መዐልተ ፡ ወሌሊተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታእምር ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘጽሑፍ ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ትረትዕ ፡ ፍኖትከ ፡ ወቦቱ ፡ ትጠብብ ።
這律法書不可離開你的口，總要晝夜思想，好使你謹守遵行這書上所寫的一切話。如此，你的道路就可以亨通，凡事順利。
This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
1:9
ወናሁ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ ትባዕ ፡ ወጽናዕ ፡ ወኢትፍራህ ፡ ወኢትደንግፅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ሀለወ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘሖርከ ።
我豈沒有吩咐你嗎？你當剛強壯膽！不要懼怕，也不要驚惶；因為你無論往哪裏去，耶和華－你的上帝必與你同在。」
Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”
1:10
ወአዘዞሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለጸሐፍተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፤
於是，約書亞吩咐百姓的官長說：
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
1:11
ባኡ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ትዕይንት ፡ ወአዝዝዎሙ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወበልዎሙ ፡ አስተዳልው ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ሥንቀ ፡ እስመ ፡ እስከ ፡ ሠሉስ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ተዐድውዎ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ወትበውኡ ፡ ትርከቡ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ ይሁበክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትወረስዋ ።
「你們要走遍營中，吩咐百姓說：『當預備食物；因為三日之內你們要過這約旦河，進去得耶和華－你們上帝賜你們為業之地。』」
“Pass through the middle of the camp, and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare food; for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you to possess.’”
1:12
ወለሮቤልሂ ፡ ወለጋድሂ ፡ ወለመንፈቀ ፡ ነገደ ፡ መናሴሂ ፡ ይቤሎሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፤
約書亞對呂便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人說：
Joshua spoke to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, saying,
1:13
ተዘከሩ ፡ ቃለ ፡ ዘአዘዘክሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይቤለክሙ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አዕረፈክሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ወወሀበክሙ ፡ ዛተ ፡ ምድረ ።
「你們要追念耶和華的僕人摩西所吩咐你們的話說：『耶和華－你們的上帝使你們得享平安，也必將這地賜給你們。』
“Remember the word which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, saying, ‘Yahweh your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.
1:14
ለይንበራ ፡ አንስቲያክሙ ፡ ወደቂቅክሙ ፡ ወእንስሳክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀበክሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ወአንትሙሰ ፡ ዕድው ፡ ቅኑታኒክሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አኀዊክሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ጽኑዓኒክሙ ፡ ወተቃተሉ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፤
你們的妻子、孩子，和牲畜都可以留在約旦河東、摩西所給你們的地；但你們中間一切大能的勇士都要帶着兵器在你們的弟兄前面過去，幫助他們，
Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them
1:15
እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ያዐርፎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ለአኀዊክሙ ፡ ከማክሙ ፡ ወይወርሱ ፡ እሙንቱኒ ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ እንተ ፡ ይሁቦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወተአትው ፡ እንከ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምኔክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርስቱ ፡ ወተዋረስዋ ፡ አንትሙኒ ፡ ለዛቲ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀበክሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ቍልዔሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ በመንገለ ፡ ምሥራቀ ፡ ፀሐይ ።
等到耶和華使你們的弟兄像你們一樣得享平安，並且得着耶和華－你們上帝所賜他們為業之地，那時才可以回你們所得之地，承受為業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東、向日出之地所給你們的。」
until Yahweh has given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they have also possessed the land which Yahweh your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.’”
1:16
ወአውሥእዎ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ንገብር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዝከነ ፡ ወነሐውር ፡ መካነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈነውከነ ።
他們回答約書亞說：「你所吩咐我們行的，我們都必行；你所差遣我們去的，我們都必去。
They answered Joshua, saying, “All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.
1:17
ወበከመ ፡ ተአዘዝነ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ንትኤዘዝ ፡ ለከሂ ፡ ወባሕቱ ፡ ምስሌከሂ ፡ ለየሀሉ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በከመ ፡ ሀለወ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሙሴ ።
我們從前在一切事上怎樣聽從摩西，現在也必照樣聽從你；惟願耶和華－你的上帝與你同在，像與摩西同在一樣。
Just as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only may Yahweh your God be with you, as he was with Moses.
1:18
ወብእሲ ፡ ዘኢተአዘዘ ፡ ለከ ፡ ወዘክሕደከ ፡ ወኢሰምዐ ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ዘአዘዝካሁ ፡ ለይሙት ፡ ወይእዜኒ ፡ ጽናዕ ፡ ወትባዕ ።
無論甚麼人違背你的命令，不聽從你所吩咐他的一切話，就必治死他。你只要剛強壯膽！」
Whoever rebels against your commandment, and doesn’t listen to your words in all that you command him shall himself be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”
