4:1
Hic liber mandatorum Dei, et lex quæ est in æternum : omnes qui tenent eam pervenient ad vitam : qui autem dereliquerunt eam, in mortem.
這就是天主誡命的書,是永遠長存的法律。凡持守她的,必得生命;凡離棄她的,必要死亡。
This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endures for ever: all those who hold it fast are appointed to life; but such as leave it shall die.
4:2
Convertere, Jacob, et apprehende eam : ambula per viam ad splendorem ejus contra lumen ejus.
雅各伯啊,你要回轉,握住她,朝著她的光輝、迎著她的光明邁進。
Turn you, O Jacob, and take hold of it: walk towards her shining in the presence of the light thereof.
4:3
Ne tradas alteri gloriam tuam, et dignitatem tuam genti alienæ.
不要把你的榮耀讓給別人,不要把對你有益的事讓給異邦。
Give not your glory to another, nor the things that are profitable to you to a strange nation.
4:4
Beati sumus, Israël, quia quæ Deo placent manifesta sunt nobis.
以色列啊,我們是有福的,因為凡天主所喜悅的事,都已為我們所知。
O Israel, happy are we: for the things that are pleasing to God are made known to us.
4:5
Animæquior esto, populus Dei, memorabilis Israël :
我的百姓,以色列的記唸啊,你們要放心!
Be of good cheer, my people, the memorial of Israel.
4:6
venundati estis gentibus non in perditionem : sed propter quod in ira ad iracundiam provocastis Deum, traditi estis adversariis.
你們雖被賣與列邦,卻不是要滅亡;只因你們惹天主發怒,才被交在你們的仇敵手中。
You⌃ were sold to the nations, but not for destruction: because you⌃ moved God to wrath, you⌃ were delivered to your adversaries.
4:7
Exacerbastis enim eum qui fecit vos, Deum æternum, immolantes dæmoniis, et non Deo.
你們向邪魔獻祭,而不向天主獻祭,惹怒了那造你們的主。
For you⌃ provoked him that made you by sacrificing to demons, and not to God.
4:8
Obliti enim estis Deum qui nutrivit vos, et contristastis nutricem vestram Jerusalem.
你們忘記了那養育你們的永生天主,也使那哺育你們的耶路撒冷憂傷。
You⌃ forgat the everlasting God, that brought you up; you⌃ grieved also Jerusalem, that nursed you.
4:9
Vidit enim iracundiam a Deo venientem vobis, et dixit : Audite, confines Sion : adduxit enim mihi Deus luctum magnum.
因為她看見了那從天主臨到你們的忿怒,便說:『熙雍鄰近的婦女啊,你們聽吧!天主使極大的悲哀臨到了我;
For she saw the wrath that is come upon you from God, and said, Hearken, you⌃ women that dwell about Sion: for God has brought upon me great mourning;
4:10
Vidi enim captivitatem populi mei, filiorum meorum et filiarum, quam superduxit illis Æternus.
因為我看見了我兒女被擄的事,就是那永生者使他們所遭受的。
for I have seen the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting has brought upon them.
4:11
Nutrivi enim illos cum jucunditate ; dimisi autem illos cum fletu et luctu.
我曾歡歡喜喜地養育他們,卻含淚帶悲地打發他們離去。
For with joy did I nourish them; but sent them away with weeping and mourning.
4:12
Nemo gaudeat super me viduam et desolatam : a multis derelicta sum propter peccata filiorum meorum, quia declinaverunt a lege Dei.
我這寡婦被眾人遺棄,誰也不要因我而幸災樂禍。我因我兒女的罪而淪為荒涼,因為他們背離了天主的法律,
Let no man rejoice over me, a widow, and forsaken of many: for the sins of my children am I left desolate; because they turned away from the law of God,
4:13
Justitias autem ipsius nescierunt, nec ambulaverunt per vias mandatorum Dei, neque per semitas veritatis ejus cum justitia ingressi sunt.
不認識祂的法度,不肯行走天主誡命的道路,也不踏上祂正義訓誨的途徑。
and had no regard to his statutes, neither walked they in the ways of God’s commandments, nor trod in the paths of discipline in his righteousness.
4:14
Veniant confines Sion, et memorentur captivitatem filiorum et filiarum mearum, quam superduxit illis Æternus.
熙雍鄰近的婦女啊,你們前來吧!你們要記念我兒女被擄的事,就是那永生者使他們所遭受的。
Let those who dwell about Sion come, and remember you⌃ the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting has brought upon them.
4:15
Adduxit enim super illos gentem de longinquo, gentem improbam, et alterius linguæ,
因為祂使一個遠方的民族來攻擊他們,那是一個無恥的民族,言語陌生;他們既不尊敬老人,也不憐恤孩童。
For he has brought a nation upon them from far, a shameless nation, and of a strange language, who neither reverenced old man, nor pitied child.
4:16
qui non sunt reveriti senem, neque puerorum miserti sunt, et abduxerunt dilectos viduæ, et a filiis unicam desolaverunt.
他們把寡婦所愛的兒子擄了去,使她孤孤單單,失去了女兒。
And they have carried away the dear beloved sons of the widow, and left her that was alone desolate of her daughters.
4:17
Ego autem, quid possum adjuvare vos ?
至於我,又能怎樣幫助你們呢?
But I, what can I help you?
4:18
qui enim adduxit super vos mala, ipse vos eripiet de manibus inimicorum vestrorum.
因為那使這些災禍臨到你們的,必要從你們仇敵的手中拯救你們。
For he that brought these plagues upon you will deliver you from the hand of your enemies.
4:19
Ambulate, filii, ambulate : ego enim derelicta sum sola.
我的兒女啊,你們走你們的路吧!因為我已被撇下,孤獨荒涼。
Go your way, O my children, go your way: for I am left desolate.
4:20
Exui me stola pacis, indui autem me sacco obsecrationis, et clamabo ad Altissimum in diebus meis.
我已脫去平安的衣裳,穿上了哀求的苦衣;我一生的日子都要向那永生者呼求。
I have put off the garment of peace, and put upon me the sackcloth of my petition: I will cry to the Everlasting as long as I live.
4:21
Animæquiores estote, filii ; clamate ad Dominum, et eripiet vos de manu principum inimicorum.
我的兒女啊,你們要放心,向天主呼求吧!祂必從仇敵的權勢和手中拯救你們。
Be of good cheer, O my children, cry to God, and he shall deliver you from the power and hand of the enemies.
4:22
Ego enim speravi in æternum salutem vestram, et venit mihi gaudium a Sancto, super misericordia quæ veniet vobis ab æterno salutari nostro.
因為我已仰望那永生者,盼祂施行你們的救恩;那喜樂已從聖者臨到我,因祂的仁慈不久必從那永生者你們的救主臨到你們。
For I have trusted in the Everlasting, that he will save you; and joy is come to me from the Holy One, because of the mercy which shall soon come to you from the Everlasting your Saviour.
4:23
Emisi enim vos cum luctu et ploratu : reducet autem vos mihi Dominus cum gaudio et jucunditate in sempiternum.
我曾含悲帶淚地打發你們離去,但天主必使你們重歸於我,叫我永遠歡欣喜樂。
For I sent you out with mourning and weeping: but God will give you to me again with joy and gladness forever.
4:24
Sicut enim viderunt vicinæ Sion captivitatem vestram a Deo, sic videbunt et in celeritate salutem vestram a Deo, quæ superveniet vobis cum honore magno et splendore æterno.
因為正如熙雍鄰近的婦女如今看見你們被擄,照樣,她們不久也必看見那從你們天主而來的救恩臨到你們,帶著那永生者極大的榮耀和光輝。
For like as now those who dwell about Sion have seen your captivity: so shall they see shortly your salvation from our God, which shall come upon you with great glory, and brightness of the Everlasting.
4:25
Filii, patienter sustinete iram quæ supervenit vobis : persecutus est enim te inimicus tuus : sed cito videbis perditionem ipsius, et super cervices ipsius ascendes.
我的兒女啊,你們要忍耐那從天主臨到你們的忿怒。你的仇敵雖逼迫了你,但你不久必看見他的滅亡,並要踏在他們的頸項上。
My children, suffer patiently the wrath that is come upon you from God: for your enemy has persecuted you; but shortly you shall see his destruction, and shall tread upon their necks.
4:26
Delicati mei ambulaverunt vias asperas : ducti sunt enim ut grex direptus ab inimicis.
我那嬌養的兒女走過了崎嶇的道路,他們如同被仇敵擄掠的羊羣一般被帶走了。
My delicate ones have gone rough ways; they were taken away as a flock carried off by the enemies.
4:27
Animæquiores estote, filii, et proclamate ad Dominum : erit enim memoria vestra ab eo qui duxit vos.
我的兒女啊,你們要放心,向天主呼求吧!因為那使這些事臨到你們的,必要記念你們。
Be of good cheer, O my children, and cry to God: for you⌃ shall be remembered of him that has brought these things upon you.
4:28
Sicut enim fuit sensus vester ut erraretis a Deo, decies tantum iterum convertentes requiretis eum :
因為從前你們存心遠離了天主,如今你們要加十倍地回轉尋求祂。
For as it was your mind to go astray from God: so, return and seek him ten times more.
4:29
qui enim induxit vobis mala, ipse rursum adducet vobis sempiternam jucunditatem cum salute vestra.
因為那使這些災禍臨到你們的,必再使你們得救,並把永遠的喜樂帶給你們。
For he that brought these plagues upon you shall bring you everlasting joy again with your salvation.
4:30
Animæquior esto, Jerusalem : exhortatur enim te, qui te nominavit.
耶路撒冷啊,你要放心!那以名召叫你的,必要安慰你。
Be of good cheer, O Jerusalem: for he that called you by name will comfort you.
4:31
Nocentes peribunt, qui te vexaverunt : et qui gratulati sunt in tua ruina, punientur.
那些苦害你、因你的傾覆而幸災樂禍的人,是可悲的。
Miserable are those who afflicted you, and rejoiced at your fall.
4:32
Civitates quibus servierunt filii tui, punientur, et quæ accepit filios tuos.
那些奴役你兒女的城邑是可悲的,那接納你兒子的城是可悲的。
Miserable are the cities which your children served: miserable is she that received your sons.
4:33
Sicut enim gavisa est in tua ruina, et lætata est in casu tuo, sic contristabitur in sua desolatione,
因為正如她曾因你的傾覆而歡喜、因你的敗亡而喜樂,照樣,她也必為自己的荒涼而憂傷。
For as she rejoiced at your fall, and was glad of your ruin: so shall she be grieved for her own desolation.
4:34
et amputabitur exsultatio multitudinis ejus, et gaudimonium ejus erit in luctum.
我必除去她因人多而生的歡躍,她的誇耀必變為哀傷。
And I will take away her exultation in her great multitude, and her boasting shall be turned into mourning.
4:35
Ignis enim superveniet ei ab Æterno in longiturnis diebus, et habitabitur a dæmoniis in multitudine temporis.
因為必有火從那永生者臨到她,存留多日;她必長久為邪魔所居。
For fire shall come upon her from the Everlasting, long to endure; and she shall be inhabited of devils for a great time.
4:36
Circumspice, Jerusalem, ad orientem, et vide jucunditatem a Deo tibi venientem.
耶路撒冷啊,你要向東觀望,看那從天主臨到你的喜樂。
O Jerusalem, look about you toward the east, and behold the joy that comes to you from God.
4:37
Ecce enim veniunt filii tui, quos dimisisti dispersos : veniunt collecti ab oriente usque ad occidentem, in verbo Sancti, gaudentes in honorem Dei.
看,你的兒女回來了,就是你所打發離去的;他們聽從聖者的話,從東到西聚集回來,因天主的榮耀而歡欣。
Behold, your sons come, whom you sent away, they come gathered together from the east to the west at the word of the Holy One, rejoicing in the glory of God.
