1:1

Et ambulabant in medio flammæ, laudantes Deum, et benedicentes Domino.

如今，凡你所加給我們的、凡你向我們所行的，你都是按真實的審判而行。

O LORD Almighty, that are in heaven, you God of our fathers, of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and of their righteous seed;

1:2

Stans autem Azarias oravit sic, aperiensque os suum in medio ignis, ait :

你把我們交在仇敵手中，就是那不法、最可憎、背道的人，並一個不義、比全地更兇惡的王手中。

who have made heaven and earth, with all the ornament thereof;

1:3

Benedictus es, Domine Deus patrum nostrorum, et laudabile, et gloriosum nomen tuum in sæcula :

如今我們不能開口，羞愧和淩辱臨到你的僕人，並敬拜你的人。

who have bound the sea by the word of your commandment; who have shut up the deep, and sealed it by your terrible and glorious name;

1:4

quia justus es in omnibus, quæ fecisti nobis, et universa opera tua vera, et viæ tuæ rectæ, et omnia judicia tua vera.

求你不要為你名的緣故全然撇棄我們，也不要廢棄你的約，

whom all things fear, yes, tremble before your power;

1:5

Judicia enim vera fecisti juxta omnia, quæ induxisti super nos, et super civitatem sanctam patrum nostrorum Jerusalem : quia in veritate et in judicio induxisti omnia hæc propter peccata nostra.

不要使你的憐憫離開我們，乃要因你所愛的亞伯拉罕、你的僕人以撒和你的聖者以色列的緣故，仍憐憫我們。

for the majesty of your glory can’t be borne, and the anger of your threatening toward sinners is importable:

1:6

Peccavimus enim, et inique egimus recedentes a te, et deliquimus in omnibus :

正如你曾向他們應許說，要使他們的後裔多如天上的星，多如海邊的沙。

your merciful promise is unmeasurable and unsearchable;

1:7

et præcepta tua non audivimus, nec observavimus, nec fecimus sicut præceperas nobis ut bene nobis esset.

主宰啊，因我們的罪，我們今日在萬國中成了至小的，在全地上成了卑微的。

for you are the Lord Most High, of great compassion, longsuffering and abundant in mercy, and repent of bringing evils upon men.

1:8

Omnia ergo, quæ induxisti super nos, et universa quæ fecisti nobis, in vero judicio fecisti ;

如今我們沒有首領、先知或領袖，也沒有燔祭、祭物、供物、香，並無一處可以在你面前獻祭、尋得憐憫。

You, O Lord, according to your great goodness have promised repentance and forgiveness to those who have sinned against you: and of your infinite mercies have appointed repentance to sinners, that they may be saved. You therefore, O Lord, that are the God of the just, have not appointed repentance to the just, to Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, which have not sinned against you; but you have appointed repentance to me that am a sinner:

1:9

et tradidisti nos in manibus inimicorum nostrorum iniquorum, et pessimorum, prævaricatorumque, et regi injusto, et pessimo ultra omnem terram.

但願我們憑著痛悔的心和謙卑的靈蒙你悅納，如同獻上公綿羊、公牛的燔祭，又如獻上萬萬肥羊羔。

for I have sinned above the number of the sands of the sea. My transgressions are multiplied, O Lord: my transgressions are multiplied, and I am not worthy to behold and see the height of heaven for the multitude of my iniquities.
