4:1
οἱ κύριοι, τὸ δίκαιον καὶ τὴν ἰσότητα τοῖς δούλοις παρέχεσθε, εἰδότες ὅτι καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔχετε κύριον ἐν οὐρανῷ.
Domini, quod justum est et aequum, servis praestate : scientes quod et vos Dominum habetis in caelo.
አጋእዝትኒ ዕሩየ ግበሩ ሎሙ ለነባሪክሙ ወፍትሑ ጽድቀ ተአምሩ ከመ ብክሙ እግዚእ በሰማያት።
Masters, give to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
4:2
Τῇ προσευχῇ προσκαρτερεῖτε, γρηγοροῦντες ἐν αὐτῇ ἐν εὐχαριστίᾳ,
Orationi instate, vigilantes in ea in gratiarum actione :
ወተፀመዱ ለጸሎት እንዘ ትተግሁ በአኰቴት።
Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving,
4:3
προσευχόμενοι ἅμα καὶ περὶ ἡμῶν, ἵνα ὁ θεὸς ἀνοίξῃ ἡμῖν θύραν τοῦ λόγου, λαλῆσαι τὸ μυστήριον τοῦ Χριστοῦ, δι’ ὃ καὶ δέδεμαι,
orantes simul et pro nobis, ut Deus aperiat nobis ostium sermonis ad loquendum mysterium Christi (propter quod etiam vinctus sum),
ጸልዩ ወሰአሉ ለነሂ ከመ ያርኁ ለነ እግዚአብሔር አናቅጸ ቃል ከመ ንንግር ምክረ ዘእምኀበ እግዚአብሔር ዘበእንቲኣሁ ተሞቃሕኩ።
praying together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds,
4:4
ἵνα φανερώσω αὐτὸ ὡς δεῖ με λαλῆσαι.
ut manifestem illud ita ut oportet me loqui.
ከመ እክሥቶ በከመ ይደልወኒ እንግር።
that I may reveal it as I ought to speak.
4:5
Ἐν σοφίᾳ περιπατεῖτε πρὸς τοὺς ἔξω, τὸν καιρὸν ἐξαγοραζόμενοι.
In sapientia ambulate ad eos, qui foris sunt : tempus redimentes.
ሑሩ በልቡና በኀበ ባዕዳን እምሃይማኖት።
Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
4:6
ὁ λόγος ὑμῶν πάντοτε ἐν χάριτι, ἅλατι ἠρτυμένος, εἰδέναι πῶς δεῖ ὑμᾶς ἑνὶ ἑκάστῳ ἀποκρίνεσθαι.
Sermo vester semper in gratia sale sit conditus, ut sciatis quomodo oporteat vos unicuique respondere.
ወይኩን ነገርክሙ በጸጋ ወቅሱመ በጼው ከመ ታእምሩ ዘትትዋሥኡ ለለአሐዱ አሐዱ።
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
4:7
Τὰ κατ’ ἐμὲ πάντα γνωρίσει ὑμῖν Τυχικὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς ἀδελφὸς καὶ πιστὸς διάκονος καὶ σύνδουλος ἐν κυρίῳ,
Quae circa me sunt, omnia vobis nota faciet Tychicus, carissimus frater, et fidelis minister, et conservus in Domino :
ወኵሎ ዜናየ ይዜንወክሙ ጢኪቆስ እኁነ ምእመን ዘነኀብር ተቀንዮ ዘውእቱ እኁክሙ በእግዚአብሔር።
All my affairs will be made known to you by Tychicus, the beloved brother, faithful servant, and fellow bondservant in the Lord.
4:8
ὃν ἔπεμψα πρὸς ὑμᾶς εἰς αὐτὸ τοῦτο, ἵνα γνῶτε τὰ περὶ ἡμῶν καὶ παρακαλέσῃ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν,
quem misi ad vos ad hoc ipsum, ut cognoscat quae circa vos sunt, et consoletur corda vestra,
ዘፈነውክዎ ኀቤክሙ በእንተ ዝንቱ ግብር ከመ ታእምሩ ዜናየ ወያስተፍሥሕክሙ ልበክሙ።
I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your circumstances and comfort your hearts,
4:9
σὺν Ὀνησίμῳ τῷ πιστῷ καὶ ἀγαπητῷ ἀδελφῷ, ὅς ἐστιν ἐξ ὑμῶν· πάντα ὑμῖν γνωρίσουσιν τὰ ὧδε.
cum Onesimo carissimo, et fideli fratre, qui ex vobis est. Omnia, quae hic aguntur, nota facient vobis.
ምስለ አናሲሞስ እኁነ ምእመን ዘናፈቅር ዘውእቱ ብእሲ እምኔክሙ ወእሙንቱ ያጤይቁክሙ ግብረነ ወዘሀሎነ ቦቱ።
together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you everything that is going on here.
4:10
Ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἀρίσταρχος ὁ συναιχμάλωτός μου, καὶ Μᾶρκος ὁ ἀνεψιὸς Βαρναβᾶ περὶ οὗ ἐλάβετε ἐντολάς, ἐὰν ἔλθῃ πρὸς ὑμᾶς δέξασθε αὐτόν,
Salutat vos Aristarchus concaptivus meus, et Marcus consobrinus Barnabae, de quo accepistis mandata : si venerit ad vos, excipite illum :
አምኁክሙ አርስጥሮኮስ ዘተፄወወ ምስሌየ ወማርቆስ ወልደ እኅወ አቡሁ ለበርናባስ ዘበእንቲኣሁ አዘዝኩክሙ ከመ አመ መጽአ ኀቤክሙ ትትወከፍዎ።
Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you received instructions, “if he comes to you, receive him”),
4:11
καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ λεγόμενος Ἰοῦστος, οἱ ὄντες ἐκ περιτομῆς οὗτοι μόνοι συνεργοὶ εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, οἵτινες ἐγενήθησάν μοι παρηγορία.
et Jesus, qui dicitur Justus : qui sunt ex circumcisione : hi soli sunt adjutores mei in regno Dei, qui mihi fuerunt solatio.
ወኢያሱ ዘተሰምየ ኢዩስጦስ እለ እምሰብአ ግዝረት ወእሉ ዳእሙ ረድኤትየ በግብረ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ወአስተፍሥሑኒ።
and Jesus who is called Justus. These are my only fellow workers for God’s Kingdom who are of the circumcision, men who have been a comfort to me.
4:12
ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Ἐπαφρᾶς ὁ ἐξ ὑμῶν, δοῦλος Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ, πάντοτε ἀγωνιζόμενος ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν ἐν ταῖς προσευχαῖς, ἵνα σταθῆτε τέλειοι καὶ πεπληροφορημένοι ἐν παντὶ θελήματι τοῦ θεοῦ.
Salutat vos Epaphras, qui ex vobis est, servus Christi Jesu, semper sollicitus pro vobis in orationibus, ut stetis perfecti, et pleni in omni voluntate Dei.
አምኀክሙ ኤጳፍራስ ዘእምኀቤክሙ ውእቱ ገብረ ክርስቶስ ወዘልፈ ይጼሊ በእንቲኣክሙ ወይስእል ከመ ትኩኑ ፍጹማነ ወምሉኣነ በኵሉ ሥምረተ እግዚአብሔር።
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
4:13
μαρτυρῶ γὰρ αὐτῷ ὅτι ἔχει πολὺν πόνον ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καὶ τῶν ἐν Λαοδικίᾳ καὶ τῶν ἐν Ἱεραπόλει.
Testimonium enim illi perhibeo quod habet multum laborem pro vobis, et pro iis qui sunt Laodiciae, et qui Hierapoli.
ወአነ ሰማዕቱ ከመ ፈድፋደ ያፈቅረክሙ ወይቴክዝ በእንቲኣክሙ ወለእለ በሎዶቅያ ወሀገረ ኢያራ።
For I testify about him that he has great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis.
4:14
ἀσπάζεται ὑμᾶς Λουκᾶς ὁ ἰατρὸς ὁ ἀγαπητὸς καὶ Δημᾶς.
Salutat vos Lucas, medicus carissimus, et Demas.
አምኀክሙ ሉቃስ ዐቃቤ ሥራይ ፍቁርነ ወዴማስ።
Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.
4:15
ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἐν Λαοδικίᾳ ἀδελφοὺς καὶ Νυμφᾶν καὶ τὴν κατ’ οἶκον αὐτῶν ἐκκλησίαν.
Salutate fratres, qui sunt Laodiciae, et Nympham, et quae in domo ejus est, ecclesiam.
አምኅዎሙ ለአኀዊነ እለ በሎዶቅያ ወንምፋን ወእለ ሀለዉ ቤተ ክርስቲያን።
Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, with Nymphas and the assembly that is in his house.
4:16
καὶ ὅταν ἀναγνωσθῇ παρ’ ὑμῖν ἡ ἐπιστολή, ποιήσατε ἵνα καὶ ἐν τῇ Λαοδικέων ἐκκλησίᾳ ἀναγνωσθῇ, καὶ τὴν ἐκ Λαοδικίας ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀναγνῶτε.
Et cum lecta fuerit apud vos epistola haec, facite ut et in Laodicensium ecclesia legatur : et eam, quae Laodicensium est, vos legatis.
ወአንቢበክሙ ዛተ መጽሐፈ ፈንውዋ ሎዶቅያ ያንብብዋ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ወካዕበ አንብብዋ አንትሙ ለመልእክት እንተ ጸሐፍኩ እምሎዶቅያ።
When this letter has been read among you, cause it to be read also in the assembly of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter from Laodicea.
4:17
καὶ εἴπατε Ἀρχίππῳ, βλέπε τὴν διακονίαν ἣν παρέλαβες ἐν κυρίῳ, ἵνα αὐτὴν πληροῖς.
Et dicite Archippo : Vide ministerium, quod accepisti in Domino, ut illud impleas.
ወበልዎ ለአክርጳ ዑቅአ መልእክተከ ዘተሠየምከ እምኀበ እግዚአብሔር ከመ ትፈጽም።
Tell Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you fulfill it.”
4:18
Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου. μνημονεύετέ μου τῶν δεσμῶν. ἡ χάρις μεθ’ ὑμῶν.
Salutatio, mea manu Pauli. Memores estote vinculorum meorum. Gratia vobiscum. Amen.
ወአማኅኩክሙ ጽሒፍየ በእዴየ አነ ጳውሎስ ተዘከሩ መዋቅሕትየ ጸጋ ምስሌክሙ አሜን። ተፈጸመ መልእክት ኀበ ሰብአ ቈላስይስ፤ ወተጽሕፈ በሮሜ ወተፈነወ በእደ ጢኪቆስ። ወስብሐት ለእግዚአብሔር አሜን።
