12:1
וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִיא֩ יַעֲמֹ֨ד מִֽיכָאֵ֜ל הַשַּׂ֣ר הַגָּד֗וֹל הָעֹמֵד֮ עַל־בְּנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֒ךָ֒ וְהָיְתָה֙ עֵ֣ת צָרָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־נִהְיְתָה֙ מִֽהְי֣וֹת גּ֔וֹי עַ֖ד הָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֑יא וּבָעֵ֤ת הַהִיא֙ יִמָּלֵ֣ט עַמְּךָ֔ כׇּל־הַנִּמְצָ֖א כָּת֥וּב בַּסֵּֽפֶר׃
καὶ κατὰ τὴν ὥραν ἐκείνην παρελεύσεται Μιχαηλ ὁ ἄγγελος ὁ μέγας ὁ ἑστηκὼς ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ σου ἐκείνη ἡ ἡμέρα θλίψεως οἵα οὐκ ἐγενήθη ἀφ’ οὗ ἐγενήθησαν ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης καὶ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὑψωθήσεται πᾶς ὁ λαός ὃς ἂν εὑρεθῇ ἐγγεγραμμένος ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ ἀναστήσεται Μιχαηλ ὁ ἄρχων ὁ μέγας ὁ ἑστηκὼς ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ σου καὶ ἔσται καιρὸς θλίψεως θλῖψις οἵα οὐ γέγονεν ἀφ’ οὗ γεγένηται ἔθνος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἕως τοῦ καιροῦ ἐκείνου καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ σωθήσεται ὁ λαός σου πᾶς ὁ εὑρεθεὶς γεγραμμένος ἐν τῇ βίβλῳ
In tempore autem illo consurget Michaël princeps magnus, qui stat pro filiis populi tui : et veniet tempus quale non fuit ab eo ex quo gentes esse coeperunt usque ad tempus illud. Et in tempore illo salvabitur populus tuus, omnis qui inventus fuerit scriptus in libro.
ወውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይትነሣእ፡ ሚካኤል፡ መልአክ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ዘይትቃወም፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ሕዝብከ፡ ወይከውን፡ ዐቢየ፡ ሕማመ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወምንዳቤ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ ከማሁ፡ እምአመ፡ ተፈጥረ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ እስከ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ ከማሁ፡ እምአመ፡ ተፈጥረ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር፡ እስከ፡ ውእቱ፡ አሚር፡ ወይድሕኑ፡ ሕዝብከ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘተረክበ፡ ውስተ፡ መጽሐፍ።
“At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. At that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
12:2
וְרַבִּ֕ים מִיְּשֵׁנֵ֥י אַדְמַת־עָפָ֖ר יָקִ֑יצוּ אֵ֚לֶּה לְחַיֵּ֣י עוֹלָ֔ם וְאֵ֥לֶּה לַחֲרָפ֖וֹת לְדִרְא֥וֹן עוֹלָֽם׃
καὶ πολλοὶ τῶν καθευδόντων ἐν τῷ πλάτει τῆς γῆς ἀναστήσονται οἱ μὲν εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον οἱ δὲ εἰς ὀνειδισμόν οἱ δὲ εἰς διασπορὰν καὶ αἰσχύνην αἰώνιον καὶ πολλοὶ τῶν καθευδόντων ἐν γῆς χώματι ἐξεγερθήσονται οὗτοι εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον καὶ οὗτοι εἰς ὀνειδισμὸν καὶ εἰς αἰσχύνην αἰώνιον
Et multi de his qui dormiunt in terrae pulvere evigilabunt, alii in vitam aeternam, et alii in opprobrium ut videant semper.
ወብዙኃን፡ እለ፡ ይነውሙ፡ ውስተ፡ መሬተ፡ ምድር፡ ይትነሥኡ፡ ለሕወት፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ወለእልክቱሰ፡ ለኀሳር፡ ወለኀፍረት፡ ዘለዓለም።
Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
12:3
וְהַ֨מַּשְׂכִּלִ֔ים יַזְהִ֖רוּ כְּזֹ֣הַר הָרָקִ֑יעַ וּמַצְדִּיקֵי֙ הָֽרַבִּ֔ים כַּכּוֹכָבִ֖ים לְעוֹלָ֥ם וָעֶֽד׃ {פ}
καὶ οἱ συνιέντες φανοῦσιν ὡς φωστῆρες τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ οἱ κατισχύοντες τοὺς λόγους μου ὡσεὶ τὰ ἄστρα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ οἱ συνιέντες ἐκλάμψουσιν ὡς ἡ λαμπρότης τοῦ στερεώματος καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν δικαίων τῶν πολλῶν ὡς οἱ ἀστέρες εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας καὶ ἔτι
Qui autem docti fuerint, fulgebunt quasi splendor firmamenti : et qui ad justitiam erudiunt multos, quasi stellae in perpetuas aeternitates.
ወእለ፡ ለበዉ፡ ይበርሁ፡ ከመ፡ ብርሃነ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወእምነ፡ ጻድቃን፡ ብዙኃን፡ ከመ፡ ከዋክብተ፡ ሰማይ፡ እስከ፡ ለዓለም፡ ወዓዲ።
Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.
12:4
וְאַתָּ֣ה דָֽנִיֵּ֗אל סְתֹ֧ם הַדְּבָרִ֛ים וַחֲתֹ֥ם הַסֵּ֖פֶר עַד־עֵ֣ת קֵ֑ץ יְשֹׁטְט֥וּ רַבִּ֖ים וְתִרְבֶּ֥ה הַדָּֽעַת׃
καὶ σύ Δανιηλ κάλυψον τὰ προστάγματα καὶ σφράγισαι τὸ βιβλίον ἕως καιροῦ συντελείας ἕως ἂν ἀπομανῶσιν οἱ πολλοὶ καὶ πλησθῇ ἡ γῆ ἀδικίας καὶ σύ Δανιηλ ἔμφραξον τοὺς λόγους καὶ σφράγισον τὸ βιβλίον ἕως καιροῦ συντελείας ἕως διδαχθῶσιν πολλοὶ καὶ πληθυνθῇ ἡ γνῶσις
Tu autem Daniel, claude sermones, et signa librum usque ad tempus statutum : plurimi pertransibunt, et multiplex erit scientia.
ወአንተሂ፡ ዳንኤል፡ ዕጽዎ፡ ለዝ፡ ነገር፡ ወኅጽሞ፡ መጽሐፎ፡ እስከ፡ ኅልቀተ፡ ዓለም፡ ወእስመ፡ እስከ፡ ይትሜሀሩ፡ ብዙኃን፡ ወትበዝኅ፡ ጥበብ።
But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased.”
12:5
וְרָאִ֙יתִי֙ אֲנִ֣י דָנִיֵּ֔אל וְהִנֵּ֛ה שְׁנַ֥יִם אֲחֵרִ֖ים עֹמְדִ֑ים אֶחָ֥ד הֵ֙נָּה֙ לִשְׂפַ֣ת הַיְאֹ֔ר וְאֶחָ֥ד הֵ֖נָּה לִשְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר׃
καὶ εἶδον ἐγὼ Δανιηλ καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο ἕτεροι εἱστήκεισαν εἷς ἔνθεν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ εἷς ἔνθεν καὶ εἶδον ἐγὼ Δανιηλ καὶ ἰδοὺ δύο ἕτεροι εἱστήκεισαν εἷς ἐντεῦθεν τοῦ χείλους τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ εἷς ἐντεῦθεν τοῦ χείλους τοῦ ποταμοῦ
Et vidi ego Daniel, et ecce quasi duo alii stabant : unus hinc super ripam fluminis, et alius inde ex altera ripa fluminis.
ወነጸርኩ፡ አነ፡ ዳንኤል፡ ወርኢኩ፡ ካልኣነ፡ ክልኤተ፡ ይቀውሙ፡ አሐዱ፡ እምለፌ፡ ድንጋገ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወአሐዱ፡ እምከሐ፡ ፈለግ።
Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on the river bank on this side, and the other on the river bank on that side.
12:6
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לָאִישׁ֙ לְב֣וּשׁ הַבַּדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִמַּ֖עַל לְמֵימֵ֣י הַיְאֹ֑ר עַד־מָתַ֖י קֵ֥ץ הַפְּלָאֽוֹת׃
καὶ εἶπα τῷ ἑνὶ τῷ περιβεβλημένῳ τὰ βύσσινα τῷ ἐπάνω πότε οὖν συντέλεια ὧν εἴρηκάς μοι τῶν θαυμαστῶν καὶ ὁ καθαρισμὸς τούτων καὶ εἶπεν τῷ ἀνδρὶ τῷ ἐνδεδυμένῳ τὰ βαδδιν ὃς ἦν ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἕως πότε τὸ πέρας ὧν εἴρηκας τῶν θαυμασίων
Et dixi viro qui erat indutus lineis, qui stabat super aquas fluminis : Usquequo finis horum mirabilium ?
ወይቤሎ፡ ለብእሲ፡ ዘይለብስ፡ በድነ፡ ዘሀሎ፡ መልዕልተ፡ ማየ፡ ፈለግ፡ እስከ፡ ማእዜኑ፡ ማኅለቅቱ፡ ለዘ፡ ትቤ፡ ትእምርት።
One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be to the end of these wonders?”
12:7
וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע אֶת־הָאִ֣ישׁ׀ לְב֣וּשׁ הַבַּדִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר מִמַּ֘עַל֮ לְמֵימֵ֣י הַיְאֹר֒ וַיָּ֨רֶם יְמִינ֤וֹ וּשְׂמֹאלוֹ֙ אֶל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַיִּשָּׁבַ֖ע בְּחֵ֣י הָעוֹלָ֑ם כִּי֩ לְמוֹעֵ֨ד מֽוֹעֲדִ֜ים וָחֵ֗צִי וּכְכַלּ֛וֹת נַפֵּ֥ץ יַד־עַם־קֹ֖דֶשׁ תִּכְלֶ֥ינָה כׇל־אֵֽלֶּה׃
καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ περιβεβλημένου τὰ βύσσινα ὃς ἦν ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ποταμοῦ ἕως καιροῦ συντελείας καὶ ὕψωσε τὴν δεξιὰν καὶ τὴν ἀριστερὰν εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ὤμοσε τὸν ζῶντα εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα θεὸν ὅτι εἰς καιρὸν καὶ καιροὺς καὶ ἥμισυ καιροῦ ἡ συντέλεια χειρῶν ἀφέσεως λαοῦ ἁγίου καὶ συντελεσθήσεται πάντα ταῦτα καὶ ἤκουσα τοῦ ἀνδρὸς τοῦ ἐνδεδυμένου τὰ βαδδιν ὃς ἦν ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ὕψωσεν τὴν δεξιὰν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν ἀριστερὰν αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ὤμοσεν ἐν τῷ ζῶντι τὸν αἰῶνα ὅτι εἰς καιρὸν καιρῶν καὶ ἥμισυ καιροῦ ἐν τῷ συντελεσθῆναι διασκορπισμὸν χειρὸς λαοῦ ἡγιασμένου γνώσονται πάντα ταῦτα
Et audivi virum qui indutus erat lineis, qui stabat super aquas fluminis, cum elevasset dexteram et sinistram suam in caelum, et jurasset per viventem in aeternum, quia in tempus, et tempora, et dimidium temporis. Et cum completa fuerit dispersio manus populi sancti, complebuntur universa haec.
ወሰማዕክዎ፡ ለብእሲ፡ ዘይለብስ፡ በድነ፡ ዘሀሎ፡ ዲበ፡ ማየ፡ ፈለግ፡ ወአልዐለ፡ የማኖ፡ ወጸጋሞ፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማ፡ ወመሐለ፡ በዘ፡ ሕያው፡ ለዓለም፡ ከመ፡ በጊዜሃ፡ ወበዕድሜሁ፡ በመንፈቀ፡ ዓመት፡ አመ፡ ኀልቀ፡ ዝርወቶሙ፡ ያአምሩ፡ ዘንተ፡ ኵሎ።
I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have finished breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.
12:8
וַאֲנִ֥י שָׁמַ֖עְתִּי וְלֹ֣א אָבִ֑ין וָאֹ֣מְרָ֔ה אֲדֹנִ֕י מָ֥ה אַחֲרִ֖ית אֵֽלֶּה׃
καὶ ἐγὼ ἤκουσα καὶ οὐ διενοήθην παρ’ αὐτὸν τὸν καιρὸν καὶ εἶπα κύριε τίς ἡ λύσις τοῦ λόγου τούτου καὶ τίνος αἱ παραβολαὶ αὗται καὶ ἐγὼ ἤκουσα καὶ οὐ συνῆκα καὶ εἶπα κύριε τί τὰ ἔσχατα τούτων
Et ego audivi, et non intellexi. Et dixi : Domine mi, quid erit post haec ?
ወአነሂ፡ ሰማዕኩ፡ ወኢጠየቁ፡ ወእቤ፡ እግዚኦ፡ ምንት፡ ድኅሪሁ፡ ለዝንቱ።
I heard, but I didn’t understand. Then I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
12:9
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר לֵ֣ךְ דָּנִיֵּ֑אל כִּֽי־סְתֻמִ֧ים וַחֲתֻמִ֛ים הַדְּבָרִ֖ים עַד־עֵ֥ת קֵֽץ׃
καὶ εἶπέν μοι ἀπότρεχε Δανιηλ ὅτι κατακεκαλυμμένα καὶ ἐσφραγισμένα τὰ προστάγματα ἕως ἂν καὶ εἶπεν δεῦρο Δανιηλ ὅτι ἐμπεφραγμένοι καὶ ἐσφραγισμένοι οἱ λόγοι ἕως καιροῦ πέρας
Et ait : Vade, Daniel, quia clausi sunt signatique sermones usque ad praefinitum tempus.
ወይቤለኒ፡ ዓዲ፡ ዳንኤል፡ እስመ፡ ዕጽው፡ ወኅቱም፡ ነገሩ፡ እስከ፡ ማኅለቅተ፡ ዕድሜሁ።
He said, “Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
12:10
יִ֠תְבָּֽרְר֠וּ וְיִֽתְלַבְּנ֤וּ וְיִצָּֽרְפוּ֙ רַבִּ֔ים וְהִרְשִׁ֣יעוּ רְשָׁעִ֔ים וְלֹ֥א יָבִ֖ינוּ כׇּל־רְשָׁעִ֑ים וְהַמַּשְׂכִּלִ֖ים יָבִֽינוּ׃
πειρασθῶσι καὶ ἁγιασθῶσι πολλοί καὶ ἁμάρτωσιν οἱ ἁμαρτωλοί καὶ οὐ μὴ διανοηθῶσι πάντες οἱ ἁμαρτωλοί καὶ οἱ διανοούμενοι προσέξουσιν ἐκλεγῶσιν καὶ ἐκλευκανθῶσιν καὶ πυρωθῶσιν πολλοί καὶ ἀνομήσωσιν ἄνομοι καὶ οὐ συνήσουσιν πάντες ἄνομοι καὶ οἱ νοήμονες συνήσουσιν
Eligentur, et dealbabuntur, et quasi ignis probabuntur multi : et impie agent impii, neque intelligent omnes impii : porro docti intelligent.
ይቤይንዎሙ፡ ዌነጽሕዎሙ፡ ወያረስንዎሙ፡ ወይትቄደሱ፡ ብዙኃን፡ ወይስሕቱ፡ ጊጉን፡ ወኢይሌበዉ፡ ዐማፅያን፡ ወይጤይቁ፡ ጠቢባን።
Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
12:11
וּמֵעֵת֙ הוּסַ֣ר הַתָּמִ֔יד וְלָתֵ֖ת שִׁקּ֣וּץ שֹׁמֵ֑ם יָמִ֕ים אֶ֖לֶף מָאתַ֥יִם וְתִשְׁעִֽים׃
ἀφ’ οὗ ἂν ἀποσταθῇ ἡ θυσία διὰ παντὸς καὶ ἑτοιμασθῇ δοθῆναι τὸ βδέλυγμα τῆς ἐρημώσεως ἡμέρας χιλίας διακοσίας ἐνενήκοντα καὶ ἀπὸ καιροῦ παραλλάξεως τοῦ ἐνδελεχισμοῦ καὶ τοῦ δοθῆναι βδέλυγμα ἐρημώσεως ἡμέραι χίλιαι διακόσιαι ἐνενήκοντα
Et a tempore cum ablatum fuerit juge sacrificium, et posita fuerit abominatio in desolationem, dies mille ducenti nonaginta.
በጊዜ፡ ሣህሉ፡ ወበዕድሜሁ፡ ሣህሙ፡ እምነ፡ ዘወሐክዎ፡ ከመ፡ ይትወሀብ፡ እምነ፡ ርኵሶሙ፡ በዘ፡ ይማስኑ፡ መዋዕል፡ ዐሠርቱ፡ ወክልኤቱ፡ ምእት፡ ወተስዓ።
“From the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be one thousand two hundred ninety days.
12:12
אַשְׁרֵ֥י הַֽמְחַכֶּ֖ה וְיַגִּ֑יעַ לְיָמִ֕ים אֶ֕לֶף שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים וַחֲמִשָּֽׁה׃
μακάριος ὁ ἐμμένων καὶ συνάξει εἰς ἡμέρας χιλίας τριακοσίας τριάκοντα πέντε μακάριος ὁ ὑπομένων καὶ φθάσας εἰς ἡμέρας χιλίας τριακοσίας τριάκοντα πέντε
Beatus qui exspectat, et pervenit usque ad dies mille trecentos triginta quinque.
ብጹዕ፡ ዘተዐገሠ፡ ወበጽሐ፡ ዐሠርቱ፡ ወሠለስቱ፡ ምእት፡ ወሠላሳ፡ ወኀሙስ፡ መዋዕል።
Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
12:13
וְאַתָּ֖ה לֵ֣ךְ לַקֵּ֑ץ וְתָנ֛וּחַ וְתַעֲמֹ֥ד לְגֹרָלְךָ֖ לְקֵ֥ץ הַיָּמִֽין׃
καὶ σὺ βάδισον ἀναπαύου ἔτι γάρ εἰσιν ἡμέραι καὶ ὧραι εἰς ἀναπλήρωσιν συντελείας καὶ ἀναπαύσῃ καὶ ἀναστήσῃ ἐπὶ τὴν δόξαν σου εἰς συντέλειαν ἡμερῶν καὶ σὺ δεῦρο καὶ ἀναπαύου ἔτι γὰρ ἡμέραι εἰς ἀναπλήρωσιν συντελείας καὶ ἀναστήσῃ εἰς τὸν κλῆρόν σου εἰς συντέλειαν ἡμερῶν
Tu autem vade ad praefinitum : et requiesces, et stabis in sorte tua in finem dierum.
ወአንተሰ፡ ነዐ፡ አዕርፍ፡ እስመ፡ ዓዲ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ወሰንበታተ፡ በዘ፡ ትፌጸም፡ ማኅለቅቱ፡ ወታዕርፍ፡ ወትትነሣእ፡ ውስተ፡ ርስትከ፡ በደኃሪ፡ መዋዕል።
“But go your way until the end; for you will rest, and will stand in your inheritance at the end of the days.”
