28:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֗ה אִם ־שָׁמ֤וֹעַ תִּשְׁמַע֙ בְּקוֹל֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לִשְׁמֹ֤ר לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מִצְוֺתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּ֑וֹם וּנְתָ֨נְךָ֜ יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ עֶלְי֔וֹן עַ֖ל כׇּל ־גּוֹיֵ֥י הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν διαβῆτε τὸν Ιορδάνην εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν ἐὰν ἀκοῇ εἰσακούσητε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ ἃς ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον καὶ δώσει σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ὑπεράνω πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν τῆς γῆς
Si autem audieris vocem Domini Dei tui , ut facias atque custodias omnia mandata ejus , quae ego praecipio tibi hodie , faciet te Dominus Deus tuus excelsiorem cunctis gentibus , quae versantur in terra .
ወለእመ ፡ ሰሚዐ ፡ ሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወዐቀብክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘክሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወይሬስየከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ [አምላክከ ፡] መልዕልተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ።
It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
28:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָ֧אוּ עָלֶ֛יךָ כׇּל ־הַבְּרָכ֥וֹת הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְהִשִּׂיגֻ֑ךָ כִּ֣י תִשְׁמַ֔ע בְּק֖וֹל יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ ׃
καὶ ἥξουσιν ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ εὐλογίαι αὗται καὶ εὑρήσουσίν σε ἐὰν ἀκοῇ ἀκούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου
Venientque super te universae benedictiones istae , et apprehendent te : si tamen praecepta ejus audieris .
ወይበጽሐከ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በረከት ፡ ወይረክበከ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሰማዕከ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to Yahweh your God’s voice.
28:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּר֥וּךְ אַתָּ֖ה בָּעִ֑יר וּבָר֥וּךְ אַתָּ֖ה בַּשָּׂדֶֽה ׃
εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν πόλει καὶ εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν ἀγρῷ
Benedictus tu in civitate , et benedictus in agro .
ቡሩከ ፡ ትከውን ፡ በሐቅል ፡ ወቡሩከ ፡ ትከውን ፡ በሀገር ።
You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field.
28:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּר֧וּךְ פְּרִֽי ־בִטְנְךָ֛ וּפְרִ֥י אַדְמָתְךָ֖ וּפְרִ֣י בְהֶמְתֶּ֑ךָ שְׁגַ֥ר אֲלָפֶ֖יךָ וְעַשְׁתְּר֥וֹת צֹאנֶֽךָ ׃
εὐλογημένα τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου καὶ τὰ γενήματα τῆς γῆς σου τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου
Benedictus fructus ventris tui , et fructus terrae tuae , fructusque jumentorum tuorum , greges armentorum tuorum , et caulae ovium tuarum .
ቡሩከ ፡ ይከውን ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ከርሥከ ፡ ወቡሩከ ፡ ይከውን ፡ እክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ወአዕጻደ ፡ ላህምከ ፡ ወመራዕየ ፡ አባግዒከ ።
You shall be blessed in the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.
28:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּר֥וּךְ טַנְאֲךָ֖ וּמִשְׁאַרְתֶּֽךָ ׃
εὐλογημέναι αἱ ἀποθῆκαί σου καὶ τὰ ἐγκαταλείμματά σου
Benedicta horrea tua , et benedictae reliquiae tuae .
ቡሩከ ፡ ይከውን ፡ መዛግብቲከ ፡ ወትራፋቲከ ።
Your basket and your kneading trough shall be blessed.
28:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּר֥וּךְ אַתָּ֖ה בְּבֹאֶ֑ךָ וּבָר֥וּךְ אַתָּ֖ה בְּצֵאתֶֽךָ ׃
εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαί σε καὶ εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε
Benedictus eris tu ingrediens et egrediens .
ቡሩከ ፡ ትከውን ፡ በበአትከ ፡ ወቡሩከ ፡ ትከውን ፡ በፀአትከ ።
You shall be blessed when you come in, and you shall be blessed when you go out.
28:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִתֵּ֨ן יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶת ־אֹיְבֶ֙יךָ֙ הַקָּמִ֣ים עָלֶ֔יךָ נִגָּפִ֖ים לְפָנֶ֑יךָ בְּדֶ֤רֶךְ אֶחָד֙ יֵצְא֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וּבְשִׁבְעָ֥ה דְרָכִ֖ים יָנ֥וּסוּ לְפָנֶֽיךָ ׃
παραδῷ κύριος ὁ θεός σου τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου τοὺς ἀνθεστηκότας σοι συντετριμμένους πρὸ προσώπου σου ὁδῷ μιᾷ ἐξελεύσονται πρὸς σὲ καὶ ἐν ἑπτὰ ὁδοῖς φεύξονται ἀπὸ προσώπου σου
Dabit Dominus inimicos tuos , qui consurgunt adversum te , corruentes in conspectu tuo : per unam viam venient contra te , et per septem fugient a facie tua .
ወያገብኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ለፀርከ ፡ [እለ ፡ ይትቃወሙከ ፡] ከመ ፡ ይትቀጥቀጡ ፡ በታሕተ ፡ እገሪከ ፡ በአሐቲ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ይወፅኡ ፡ ይትቀበሉከ ፡ ወበሰብዑ ፡ ፍናዌ ፡ ይነትዑ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽከ ።
Yahweh will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways.
28:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְצַ֨ו יְהֹוָ֤ה אִתְּךָ֙ אֶת ־הַבְּרָכָ֔ה בַּאֲסָמֶ֕יךָ וּבְכֹ֖ל מִשְׁלַ֣ח יָדֶ֑ךָ וּבֵ֣רַכְךָ֔ בָּאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר ־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לָֽךְ ׃
ἀποστείλαι κύριος ἐπὶ σὲ τὴν εὐλογίαν ἐν τοῖς ταμιείοις σου καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν οὗ ἂν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι
Emittet Dominus benedictionem super cellaria tua , et super omnia opera manuum tuarum : benedicetque tibi in terra , quam acceperis .
ወይፌኑ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በረከቶ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲከ ፡ ወውሰተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘወደይከ ፡ እዴከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀበከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
Yahweh will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to. He will bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
28:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְקִֽימְךָ֨ יְהֹוָ֥ה לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם קָד֔וֹשׁ כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר נִֽשְׁבַּֽע ־לָ֑ךְ כִּ֣י תִשְׁמֹ֗ר אֶת ־מִצְוֺת֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְהָלַכְתָּ֖ בִּדְרָכָֽיו ׃
ἀναστήσαι σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἑαυτῷ λαὸν ἅγιον ὃν τρόπον ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν σου ἐὰν εἰσακούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ πορευθῇς ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ
Suscitabit te Dominus sibi in populum sanctum , sicut juravit tibi : si custodieris mandata Domini Dei tui , et ambulaveris in viis ejus .
ወያቀውመከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ቅዱሰ ፡ በከመ ፡ መሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአበዊከ ፡ (ወ )ለእመ ፡ ሰማዕከ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወሖርከ ፡ በፍናዊሁ ፤
Yahweh will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and walk in his ways.
28:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְרָאוּ֙ כׇּל ־עַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּ֛י שֵׁ֥ם יְהֹוָ֖ה נִקְרָ֣א עָלֶ֑יךָ וְיָֽרְא֖וּ מִמֶּֽךָּ ׃
καὶ ὄψονταί σε πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς ὅτι τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου ἐπικέκληταί σοι καὶ φοβηθήσονταί σε
Videbuntque omnes terrarum populi quod nomen Domini invocatum sit super te , et timebunt te .
ወይሬእየከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ ተሰምየ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ወይፈርሁከ ።
All the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by Yahweh’s name, and they will be afraid of you.
28:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהוֹתִרְךָ֤ יְהֹוָה֙ לְטוֹבָ֔ה בִּפְרִ֧י בִטְנְךָ֛ וּבִפְרִ֥י בְהֶמְתְּךָ֖ וּבִפְרִ֣י אַדְמָתֶ֑ךָ עַ֚ל הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִשְׁבַּ֧ע יְהֹוָ֛ה לַאֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ לָ֥תֶת לָֽךְ ׃
καὶ πληθυνεῖ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς ἀγαθὰ ἐπὶ τοῖς ἐκγόνοις τῆς κοιλίας σου καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς γενήμασιν τῆς γῆς σου καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς ἐκγόνοις τῶν κτηνῶν σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς ὤμοσεν κύριος τοῖς πατράσιν σου δοῦναί σοι
Abundare te faciet Dominus omnibus bonis , fructu uteri tui , et fructu jumentorum tuorum , fructu terrae tuae , quam juravit Dominus patribus tuis ut daret tibi .
ወያተባዝኀከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሠናይት ፡ በውሉደ ፡ ከርሥከ ፡ ወበእክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ወያስተዋልዶ ፡ ለእንስሳከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ መሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአበዊከ ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀብከ ፡ ከመ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
Yahweh will grant you abundant prosperity in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give you.
28:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִפְתַּ֣ח יְהֹוָ֣ה ׀לְ֠ךָ֠ אֶת ־אוֹצָר֨וֹ הַטּ֜וֹב אֶת ־הַשָּׁמַ֗יִם לָתֵ֤ת מְטַֽר ־אַרְצְךָ֙ בְּעִתּ֔וֹ וּלְבָרֵ֕ךְ אֵ֖ת כׇּל ־מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָדֶ֑ךָ וְהִלְוִ֙יתָ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים וְאַתָּ֖ה לֹ֥א תִלְוֶֽה ׃
ἀνοίξαι σοι κύριος τὸν θησαυρὸν αὐτοῦ τὸν ἀγαθόν τὸν οὐρανόν δοῦναι τὸν ὑετὸν τῇ γῇ σου ἐπὶ καιροῦ αὐτοῦ εὐλογῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν σου καὶ δανιεῖς ἔθνεσιν πολλοῖς σὺ δὲ οὐ δανιῇ καὶ ἄρξεις σὺ ἐθνῶν πολλῶν σοῦ δὲ οὐκ ἄρξουσιν
Aperiet Dominus thesaurum suum optimum , caelum , ut tribuat pluviam terrae tuae in tempore suo : benedicetque cunctis operibus manuum tuarum . Et foenerabis gentibus multis , et ipse a nullo foenus accipies .
ወይፈትሕ ፡ ለከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መዝገበ ፡ ቡሩከ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ከመ ፡ የሀብከ ፡ ዝናመ ፡ በመዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለምድርከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይባርክ ፡ ለከ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተግባረ ፡ እደዊከ ፡ ወትሌቅሕ ፡ አንተ ፡ ለብዙኅ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወአንተሰ ፡ ኢትትሌቃሕ ፡ ወትኴንን ፡ አንተ ፡ ለብዙኅ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወለከሰ ፡ ኢይኴንኑከ ።
Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.
28:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּנְתָֽנְךָ֨ יְהֹוָ֤ה לְרֹאשׁ֙ וְלֹ֣א לְזָנָ֔ב וְהָיִ֙יתָ֙ רַ֣ק לְמַ֔עְלָה וְלֹ֥א תִהְיֶ֖ה לְמָ֑טָּה כִּֽי ־תִשְׁמַ֞ע אֶל ־מִצְוֺ֣ת ׀ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֧י מְצַוְּךָ֛ הַיּ֖וֹם לִשְׁמֹ֥ר וְלַעֲשֽׂוֹת ׃
καταστήσαι σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς κεφαλὴν καὶ μὴ εἰς οὐράν καὶ ἔσῃ τότε ἐπάνω καὶ οὐκ ἔσῃ ὑποκάτω ἐὰν ἀκούσῃς τῶν ἐντολῶν κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιεῖν
Constituet te Dominus in caput , et non in caudam : et eris semper supra , et non subter : si tamen audieris mandata Domini Dei tui quae ego praecipio tibi hodie , et custodieris et feceris ,
ወይሠይመከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ርእስ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዘነብ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ መልዕልተ ፡ ወኢትከውን ፡ መትሕተ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወትእዛዞ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘክሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀቡ ፡ ወትግበሩ ፤
Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do,
28:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹ֣א תָס֗וּר מִכׇּל ־הַדְּבָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֜י מְצַוֶּ֥ה אֶתְכֶ֛ם הַיּ֖וֹם יָמִ֣ין וּשְׂמֹ֑אול לָלֶ֗כֶת אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים לְעׇבְדָֽם ׃ {פ}
οὐ παραβήσῃ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν λόγων ὧν ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον δεξιὰ οὐδὲ ἀριστερὰ πορεύεσθαι ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς
ac non declinaveris ab eis nec ad dexteram , nec ad sinistram , nec secutus fueris deos alienos , neque colueris eos .
ወኢትትገሐሡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ቃል ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ ዮም ፡ ኢለየማን ፡ ወኢለፀጋም ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሑሩ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ ታምልክዎሙ ።
and shall not turn away from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
28:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֗ה אִם ־לֹ֤א תִשְׁמַע֙ בְּקוֹל֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לִשְׁמֹ֤ר לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ אֶת ־כׇּל ־מִצְוֺתָ֣יו וְחֻקֹּתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּ֑וֹם וּבָ֧אוּ עָלֶ֛יךָ כׇּל ־הַקְּלָל֥וֹת הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְהִשִּׂיגֽוּךָ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν μὴ εἰσακούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον καὶ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ κατάραι αὗται καὶ καταλήμψονταί σε
Quod si audire nolueris vocem Domini Dei tui , ut custodias , et facias omnia mandata ejus et caeremonias , quas ego praecipio tibi hodie , venient super te omnes maledictiones istae , et apprehendent te .
ወለእመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀቡ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘክሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወይመጽእ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ መርገም ፡ ወይረክበከ ።
But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come on you and overtake you.
28:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָר֥וּר אַתָּ֖ה בָּעִ֑יר וְאָר֥וּר אַתָּ֖ה בַּשָּׂדֶֽה ׃
ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν πόλει καὶ ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν ἀγρῷ
Maledictus eris in civitate , maledictus in agro .
ወትከውን ፡ ርጉመ ፡ አንተ ፡ በሐቅል ፡ ወበሀገር ።
You will be cursed in the city, and you will be cursed in the field.
28:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָר֥וּר טַנְאֲךָ֖ וּמִשְׁאַרְתֶּֽךָ ׃
ἐπικατάρατοι αἱ ἀποθῆκαί σου καὶ τὰ ἐγκαταλείμματά σου
Maledictum horreum tuum , et maledictae reliquiae tuae .
ወይከውን ፡ ርጉመ ፡ መዛግብቲከ ፡ ወትራፋቲከ ፤

28:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָר֥וּר פְּרִֽי ־בִטְנְךָ֖ וּפְרִ֣י אַדְמָתֶ֑ךָ שְׁגַ֥ר אֲלָפֶ֖יךָ וְעַשְׁתְּרֹ֥ת צֹאנֶֽךָ ׃

ወርጉመ ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ከርሥከ ፡ ወእክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ወአዕጻዳተ ፡ አልህምቲከ ፡ ወመራዕየ ፡ አባግዒከ ።
The fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock will be cursed.
28:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָר֥וּר אַתָּ֖ה בְּבֹאֶ֑ךָ וְאָר֥וּר אַתָּ֖ה בְּצֵאתֶֽךָ ׃
ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε καὶ ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαί σε
Maledictus eris ingrediens , et maledictus egrediens .
ወርጉም ፡ አንተ ፡ በበአትከ ፡ ወበፀአትከ ፡ ርጉመ ፡ ትከውን ።
You will be cursed when you come in, and you will be cursed when you go out.
28:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְשַׁלַּ֣ח יְהֹוָ֣ה ׀בְּ֠ךָ֠ אֶת ־הַמְּאֵרָ֤ה אֶת ־הַמְּהוּמָה֙ וְאֶת ־הַמִּגְעֶ֔רֶת בְּכׇל ־מִשְׁלַ֥ח יָדְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשֶׂ֑ה עַ֣ד הִשָּׁמֶדְךָ֤ וְעַד ־אֲבׇדְךָ֙ מַהֵ֔ר מִפְּנֵ֛י רֹ֥עַ מַֽעֲלָלֶ֖יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲזַבְתָּֽנִי ׃
ἐξαποστείλαι κύριός σοι τὴν ἔνδειαν καὶ τὴν ἐκλιμίαν καὶ τὴν ἀνάλωσιν ἐπὶ πάντα οὗ ἂν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου ὅσα ἐὰν ποιήσῃς ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃ σε καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε ἐν τάχει διὰ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐπιτηδεύματά σου διότι ἐγκατέλιπές με
Mittet Dominus super te famem et esuriem , et increpationem in omnia opera tua , quae tu facies : donec conterat te , et perdat velociter , propter adinventiones tuas pessimas in quibus reliquisti me .
ወይፌኑ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ንዴተ ፡ ወረኃበ ፡ ወብድብደ ፡ ወይጠፍእ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘወደይከ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ ወይሤርወከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይደመስሰከ ፡ ፍጡነ ፡ በበይነ ፡ እከየ ፡ ምግባሪከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኀደገኒ ።
Yahweh will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you put your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the evil of your doings, by which you have forsaken me.
28:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַדְבֵּ֧ק יְהֹוָ֛ה בְּךָ֖ אֶת ־הַדָּ֑בֶר עַ֚ד כַּלֹּת֣וֹ אֹֽתְךָ֔ מֵעַל֙ הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־אַתָּ֥ה בָא ־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ ׃
προσκολλήσαι κύριος εἰς σὲ τὸν θάνατον ἕως ἂν ἐξαναλώσῃ σε ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν σὺ εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν
Adjungat tibi Dominus pestilentiam , donec consumat te de terra ad quam ingredieris possidendam .
ወያተሉ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሞተ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ትበውእ ፡ ህየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትወረሳ ።
Yahweh will make the pestilence cling to you, until he has consumed you from off the land where you go in to possess it.
28:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַכְּכָ֣ה יְ֠הֹוָ֠ה בַּשַּׁחֶ֨פֶת וּבַקַּדַּ֜חַת וּבַדַּלֶּ֗קֶת וּבַֽחַרְחֻר֙ וּבַחֶ֔רֶב וּבַשִּׁדָּפ֖וֹן וּבַיֵּרָק֑וֹן וּרְדָפ֖וּךָ עַ֥ד אׇבְדֶֽךָ ׃
πατάξαι σε κύριος ἀπορίᾳ καὶ πυρετῷ καὶ ῥίγει καὶ ἐρεθισμῷ καὶ φόνῳ καὶ ἀνεμοφθορίᾳ καὶ τῇ ὤχρᾳ καὶ καταδιώξονταί σε ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσωσίν σε
Percutiat te Dominus egestate , febri et frigore , ardore et aestu , et aëre corrupto ac rubigine , et persequatur donec pereas .
ወይቀሥፈከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በደዌ ፡ ሲሕ ፡ ወበፈጸንት ፡ ወበአስፈር ፡ ወበፍርሃት ፡ ወበድንጋፄ ፡ ወበዐባር ፡ ወበኀጣእ ፡ ወይሰድዱከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍኡከ ።
Yahweh will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with the sword, with blight, and with mildew. They will pursue you until you perish.
28:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֥וּ שָׁמֶ֛יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל ־רֹאשְׁךָ֖ נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְהָאָ֥רֶץ אֲשֶׁר ־תַּחְתֶּ֖יךָ בַּרְזֶֽל ׃
καὶ ἔσται σοι ὁ οὐρανὸς ὁ ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς σου χαλκοῦς καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡ ὑποκάτω σου σιδηρᾶ
Sit caelum , quod supra te est , aeneum : et terra , quam calcas , ferrea .
ወትከውነከ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ በመልዕልተ ፡ ርእስከ ፡ ብርተ ፡ ወምድርኒ ፡ በመትሕቴከ ፡ ሐፂነ ።
Your sky that is over your head will be bronze, and the earth that is under you will be iron.
28:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִתֵּ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶת ־מְטַ֥ר אַרְצְךָ֖ אָבָ֣ק וְעָפָ֑ר מִן ־הַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ יֵרֵ֣ד עָלֶ֔יךָ עַ֖ד הִשָּׁמְדָֽךְ ׃
δῴη κύριος τὸν ὑετὸν τῇ γῇ σου κονιορτόν καὶ χοῦς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ σέ ἕως ἂν ἐκτρίψῃ σε καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε
Det Dominus imbrem terrae tuae pulverem , et de caelo descendat super te cinis , donec conteraris .
ወይሬስዮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለዝናመ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ቆባረ ፡ ወመሬት ፡ ይወርድ ፡ እምሰማይ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይቀጠቅጠከ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ።
Yahweh will make the rain of your land powder and dust. It will come down on you from the sky, until you are destroyed.
28:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִתֶּנְךָ֨ יְהֹוָ֥ה ׀נִגָּף֮ לִפְנֵ֣י אֹיְבֶ֒יךָ֒ בְּדֶ֤רֶךְ אֶחָד֙ תֵּצֵ֣א אֵלָ֔יו וּבְשִׁבְעָ֥ה דְרָכִ֖ים תָּנ֣וּס לְפָנָ֑יו וְהָיִ֣יתָ לְזַֽעֲוָ֔ה לְכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֥וֹת הָאָֽרֶץ ׃
δῴη σε κύριος ἐπικοπὴν ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου ἐν ὁδῷ μιᾷ ἐξελεύσῃ πρὸς αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐν ἑπτὰ ὁδοῖς φεύξῃ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ἔσῃ ἐν διασπορᾷ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς βασιλείαις τῆς γῆς
Tradat te Dominus corruentem ante hostes tuos : per unam viam egrediaris contra eos , et per septem fugias , et dispergaris per omnia regna terrae ,
ወይገብረከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትቀተል ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ፀርከ ፡ በአሐቲ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ ትወፅእ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ ወበሰብዑ ፡ ፍናዌ ፡ ትነትዕ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጾሙ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ ዝርወ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መንግሥታተ ፡ ምድር ።
Yahweh will cause you to be struck before your enemies. You will go out one way against them, and will flee seven ways before them. You will be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth.
28:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיְתָ֤ה נִבְלָֽתְךָ֙ לְמַֽאֲכָ֔ל לְכׇל ־ע֥וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וּלְבֶהֱמַ֣ת הָאָ֑רֶץ וְאֵ֖ין מַחֲרִֽיד ׃
καὶ ἔσονται οἱ νεκροὶ ὑμῶν κατάβρωμα τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἀποσοβῶν
sitque cadaver tuum in escam cunctis volatilibus caeli , et bestiis terrae , et non sit qui abigat .
ወይከውን ፡ አብድንቲክሙ ፡ መብልዐ ፡ ለአዕዋፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወኢትረክቡ ፡ ዘይቀብረክሙ ።
Your dead bodies will be food to all birds of the sky, and to the animals of the earth; and there will be no one to frighten them away.
28:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַכְּכָ֨ה יְהֹוָ֜ה בִּשְׁחִ֤ין מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ (ובעפלים ) [וּבַטְּחֹרִ֔ים ] וּבַגָּרָ֖ב וּבֶחָ֑רֶס אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־תוּכַ֖ל לְהֵרָפֵֽא ׃
πατάξαι σε κύριος ἐν ἕλκει Αἰγυπτίῳ ἐν ταῖς ἕδραις καὶ ψώρᾳ ἀγρίᾳ καὶ κνήφῃ ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαί σε ἰαθῆναι
Percutiat te Dominus ulcere Aegypti , et partem corporis , per quam stercora egeruntur , scabie quoque et prurigine : ita ut curari nequeas .
ወይቀሥፈከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በመቅሠፍተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በዐበቅ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ነፍስትከ ፡ ወበሕከክ ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ፈውሰ ።
Yahweh will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with the tumors, with the scurvy, and with the itch, of which you can not be healed.
28:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַכְּכָ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה בְּשִׁגָּע֖וֹן וּבְעִוָּר֑וֹן וּבְתִמְה֖וֹן לֵבָֽב ׃
πατάξαι σε κύριος παραπληξίᾳ καὶ ἀορασίᾳ καὶ ἐκστάσει διανοίας
Percutiat te Dominus amentia et caecitate ac furore mentis ,
ወይቀሥፈከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በድቀት ፡ ወበዕወር ፡ ወበድንጋፄ ፡ ልብ ።
Yahweh will strike you with madness, with blindness, and with astonishment of heart.
28:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיִ֜יתָ מְמַשֵּׁ֣שׁ בַּֽצׇּהֳרַ֗יִם כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יְמַשֵּׁ֤שׁ הַֽעִוֵּר֙ בָּאֲפֵלָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א תַצְלִ֖יחַ אֶת ־דְּרָכֶ֑יךָ וְהָיִ֜יתָ אַ֣ךְ עָשׁ֧וּק וְגָז֛וּל כׇּל ־הַיָּמִ֖ים וְאֵ֥ין מוֹשִֽׁיעַ ׃
καὶ ἔσῃ ψηλαφῶν μεσημβρίας ὡσεὶ ψηλαφήσαι ὁ τυφλὸς ἐν τῷ σκότει καὶ οὐκ εὐοδώσει τὰς ὁδούς σου καὶ ἔσῃ τότε ἀδικούμενος καὶ διαρπαζόμενος πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ βοηθῶν
et palpes in meridie sicut palpare solet caecus in tenebris , et non dirigas vias tuas . Omnique tempore calumniam sustineas , et opprimaris violentia , nec habeas qui liberet te .
ወትገብእ ፡ ትመረስስ ፡ መዐልተ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይመረስስ ፡ ዕውር ፡ በውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ወኢትረክብ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ወትትገፋዕ ፡ ወትትበረበር ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊከ ፡ ወኢትረክብ ፡ ዘይረድአከ ።
You will grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways. You will only be oppressed and robbed always, and there will be no one to save you.
28:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ אִשָּׁ֣ה תְאָרֵ֗שׂ וְאִ֤ישׁ אַחֵר֙ (ישגלנה ) [יִשְׁכָּבֶ֔נָּה ] בַּ֥יִת תִּבְנֶ֖ה וְלֹא ־תֵשֵׁ֣ב בּ֑וֹ כֶּ֥רֶם תִּטַּ֖ע וְלֹ֥א תְחַלְּלֶֽנּוּ ׃
γυναῖκα λήμψῃ καὶ ἀνὴρ ἕτερος ἕξει αὐτήν οἰκίαν οἰκοδομήσεις καὶ οὐκ οἰκήσεις ἐν αὐτῇ ἀμπελῶνα φυτεύσεις καὶ οὐ τρυγήσεις αὐτόν
Uxorem accipias , et alius dormiat cum ea . Domum aedifices , et non habites in ea . Plantes vineam , et non vindemies eam .
ወታወስብ ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ ወየሀይደካሃ ፡ ካልእ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወትነድቅ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ወኢትነብር ፡ ውስቴቱ ፡ ወትተክል ፡ ወይነ ፡ ወኢትቀሥሞ ።
You will betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her. You will build a house, and you won’t dwell in it. You will plant a vineyard, and not use its fruit.
28:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ שׁוֹרְךָ֞ טָב֣וּחַ לְעֵינֶ֗יךָ וְלֹ֣א תֹאכַל֮ מִמֶּ֒נּוּ֒ חֲמֹֽרְךָ֙ גָּז֣וּל מִלְּפָנֶ֔יךָ וְלֹ֥א יָשׁ֖וּב לָ֑ךְ צֹֽאנְךָ֙ נְתֻנ֣וֹת לְאֹיְבֶ֔יךָ וְאֵ֥ין לְךָ֖ מוֹשִֽׁיעַ ׃
ὁ μόσχος σου ἐσφαγμένος ἐναντίον σου καὶ οὐ φάγῃ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ὁ ὄνος σου ἡρπασμένος ἀπὸ σοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἀποδοθήσεταί σοι τὰ πρόβατά σου δεδομένα τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ βοηθῶν
Bos tuus immoletur coram te , et non comedas ex eo . Asinus tuus rapiatur in conspectu tuo , et non reddatur tibi . Oves tuae dentur inimicis tuis , et non sit qui te adjuvet .
ወይጠብኁ ፡ ላህመከ ፡ ወኢትበልዕ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ወየሀይዱከ ፡ አድገከ ፡ ወኢያገብኡ ፡ ለከ ፡ ወይገብእ ፡ አባግዒከ ፡ (ለአግብርት ፡ ወ )ለፀርከ ፡ ወኢትረክብ ፡ ዘይረድእከ ።
Your ox will be slain before your eyes, and you will not eat any of it. Your donkey will be violently taken away from before your face, and will not be restored to you. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and you will have no one to save you.
28:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּנֶ֨יךָ וּבְנֹתֶ֜יךָ נְתֻנִ֨ים לְעַ֤ם אַחֵר֙ וְעֵינֶ֣יךָ רֹא֔וֹת וְכָל֥וֹת אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם כׇּל ־הַיּ֑וֹם וְאֵ֥ין לְאֵ֖ל יָדֶֽךָ ׃
οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου δεδομέναι ἔθνει ἑτέρῳ καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου βλέψονται σφακελίζοντες εἰς αὐτά καὶ οὐκ ἰσχύσει ἡ χείρ σου
Filii tui et filiae tuae tradantur alteri populo , videntibus oculis tuis , et deficientibus ad conspectum eorum tota die , et non sit fortitudo in manu tua .
ወይገብኡ ፡ ደቂቅከ ፡ ወአዋልዲከ ፡ ለካልእ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወትሬኢ ፡ በአዕይንቲከ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይኰርዕዎሙ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘትክል ፡ ገቢረ ።
Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people. Your eyes will look and fail with longing for them all day long. There will be no power in your hand.
28:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ פְּרִ֤י אַדְמָֽתְךָ֙ וְכׇל ־יְגִ֣יעֲךָ֔ יֹאכַ֥ל עַ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא ־יָדָ֑עְתָּ וְהָיִ֗יתָ רַ֛ק עָשׁ֥וּק וְרָצ֖וּץ כׇּל ־הַיָּמִֽים ׃
τὰ ἐκφόρια τῆς γῆς σου καὶ πάντας τοὺς πόνους σου φάγεται ἔθνος ὃ οὐκ ἐπίστασαι καὶ ἔσῃ ἀδικούμενος καὶ τεθραυσμένος πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας
Fructus terrae tuae , et omnes labores tuos , comedat populus quem ignoras : et sis semper calumniam sustinens , et oppressus cunctis diebus ,
ወይበልዕ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘኢታአምር ፡ እክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ወጻማከ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ ጽዑረ ፡ ወሥቁየ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕል ።
A nation which you don’t know will eat the fruit of your ground and all of your work. You will only be oppressed and crushed always,
28:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיִ֖יתָ מְשֻׁגָּ֑ע מִמַּרְאֵ֥ה עֵינֶ֖יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּרְאֶֽה ׃
καὶ ἔσῃ παράπληκτος διὰ τὰ ὁράματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου ἃ βλέψῃ
et stupens ad terrorem eorum quae videbunt oculi tui .
ወትከውን ፡ ምሑፀ ፡ በምርኣየ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ፡ ወኢትሬኢ ።
so that the sights that you see with your eyes will drive you mad.
28:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ יַכְּכָ֨ה יְהֹוָ֜ה בִּשְׁחִ֣ין רָ֗ע עַל ־הַבִּרְכַּ֙יִם֙ וְעַל ־הַשֹּׁקַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־תוּכַ֖ל לְהֵרָפֵ֑א מִכַּ֥ף רַגְלְךָ֖ וְעַ֥ד קׇדְקֳדֶֽךָ ׃
πατάξαι σε κύριος ἐν ἕλκει πονηρῷ ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς κνήμας ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαί σε ἰαθῆναι ἀπὸ ἴχνους τῶν ποδῶν σου ἕως τῆς κορυφῆς σου
Percutiat te Dominus ulcere pessimo in genibus et in suris , sanarique non possis a planta pedis usque ad verticem tuum .
ወይቀሥፈከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በደዌ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ብረኪከ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አቍያጺከ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አዕማደ ፡ እገሪከ ፡ በዘ ፡ ኢትክል ፡ ሐይወ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሰኰና ፡ እገሪከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ርእስከ ።
Yahweh will strike you in the knees and in the legs with a sore boil, of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.
28:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ יוֹלֵ֨ךְ יְהֹוָ֜ה אֹתְךָ֗ וְאֶֽת ־מַלְכְּךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תָּקִ֣ים עָלֶ֔יךָ אֶל ־גּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־יָדַ֖עְתָּ אַתָּ֣ה וַאֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ וְעָבַ֥דְתָּ שָּׁ֛ם אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים עֵ֥ץ וָאָֽבֶן ׃
ἀπαγάγοι κύριός σε καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντάς σου οὓς ἐὰν καταστήσῃς ἐπὶ σεαυτόν εἰς ἔθνος ὃ οὐκ ἐπίστασαι σὺ καὶ οἱ πατέρες σου καὶ λατρεύσεις ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις ξύλοις καὶ λίθοις
Ducet te Dominus , et regem tuum , quem constitueris super te , in gentem , quam ignoras tu et patres tui : et servies ibi diis alienis , ligno et lapidi .
ወይወስደከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኪያከኒ ፡ ወመላእክቲከኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ሤምከ ፡ ለከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ (ዐቢይ ፡) ዘኢታአምር ፡ ኢአንተ ፡ ወኢአበዊከ ፡ ወታመልክ ፡ በህየ ፡ ባዕደ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ወዕፀወ ፡ ወእበነ ።
Yahweh will bring you, and your king whom you will set over yourselves, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers. There you will serve other gods of wood and stone.
28:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיִ֣יתָ לְשַׁמָּ֔ה לְמָשָׁ֖ל וְלִשְׁנִינָ֑ה בְּכֹל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁר ־יְנַהֶגְךָ֥ יְהֹוָ֖ה שָֽׁמָּה ׃
καὶ ἔσῃ ἐκεῖ ἐν αἰνίγματι καὶ παραβολῇ καὶ διηγήματι ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εἰς οὓς ἂν ἀπαγάγῃ σε κύριος ἐκεῖ
Et eris perditus in proverbium ac fabulam omnibus populis , ad quos te introduxerit Dominus .
ወትከውን ፡ በህየ ፡ ድንጉፀ ፡ ወትከውን ፡ አምሳለ ፡ ወነገረ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስቴቶሙ ፡ (ወእለ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡) ይወስደከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ህየ ።
You will become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh will lead you away.
28:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֶ֥רַע רַ֖ב תּוֹצִ֣יא הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה וּמְעַ֣ט תֶּאֱסֹ֔ף כִּ֥י יַחְסְלֶ֖נּוּ הָאַרְבֶּֽה ׃
σπέρμα πολὺ ἐξοίσεις εἰς τὸ πεδίον καὶ ὀλίγα εἰσοίσεις ὅτι κατέδεται αὐτὰ ἡ ἀκρίς
Sementem multam jacies in terram , et modicum congregabis : quia locustae devorabunt omnia .
ወታወጽእ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ዘርዐ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገራህትከ ፡ ወታበውእ ፡ ውሑደ ፡ እስመ ፡ አንበጣ ፡ በልዖ ።
You will carry much seed out into the field, and will gather little in, for the locust will consume it.
28:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ כְּרָמִ֥ים תִּטַּ֖ע וְעָבָ֑דְתָּ וְיַ֤יִן לֹֽא ־תִשְׁתֶּה֙ וְלֹ֣א תֶאֱגֹ֔ר כִּ֥י תֹאכְלֶ֖נּוּ הַתֹּלָֽעַת ׃
ἀμπελῶνα φυτεύσεις καὶ κατεργᾷ καὶ οἶνον οὐ πίεσαι οὐδὲ εὐφρανθήσῃ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ὅτι καταφάγεται αὐτὰ ὁ σκώληξ
Vineam plantabis , et fodies : et vinum non bibes , nec colliges ex ea quippiam : quoniam vastabitur vermibus .
ወትተክል ፡ ዐጸደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወትትጌበሮ ፡ ወኢትሰቲ ፡ እምነ ፡ ወይኑ ፡ ወኢትትፌሣሕ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዕፄ ፡ በልዖ ።
You will plant vineyards and dress them, but you will neither drink of the wine, nor harvest, because worms will eat them.
28:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֵיתִ֛ים יִהְי֥וּ לְךָ֖ בְּכׇל ־גְּבוּלֶ֑ךָ וְשֶׁ֙מֶן֙ לֹ֣א תָס֔וּךְ כִּ֥י יִשַּׁ֖ל זֵיתֶֽךָ ׃
ἐλαῖαι ἔσονταί σοι ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις σου καὶ ἔλαιον οὐ χρίσῃ ὅτι ἐκρυήσεται ἡ ἐλαία σου
Olivas habebis in omnibus terminis tuis , et non ungeris oleo : quia defluent , et peribunt .
ወታጠሪ ፡ ዕፀዋተ ፡ ዘይት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ደወልከ ፡ ወኢትትቀባእ ፡ ቅብአ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተነግፈ ፡ ፍሬሁ ።
You will have olive trees throughout all your borders, but you won’t anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.
28:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּנִ֥ים וּבָנ֖וֹת תּוֹלִ֑יד וְלֹא ־יִהְי֣וּ לָ֔ךְ כִּ֥י יֵלְכ֖וּ בַּשֶּֽׁבִי ׃
υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας γεννήσεις καὶ οὐκ ἔσονταί σοι ἀπελεύσονται γὰρ ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ
Filios generabis et filias , et non frueris eis : quoniam ducentur in captivitatem .
ወትወልድ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወኢያተርፍዎሙ ፡ ለከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይነሥእዎሙ ፡ ወይፄውዎሙ ።
You will father sons and daughters, but they will not be yours, for they will go into captivity.
28:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ כׇּל ־עֵצְךָ֖ וּפְרִ֣י אַדְמָתֶ֑ךָ יְיָרֵ֖שׁ הַצְּלָצַֽל ׃
πάντα τὰ ξύλινά σου καὶ τὰ γενήματα τῆς γῆς σου ἐξαναλώσει ἡ ἐρυσίβη
Omnes arbores tuas et fruges terrae tuae rubigo consumet .
ወኵሎ ፡ እክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ተክለ ፡ ዕፀዋቲከ ፡ አናኵዕ ፡ ያጠፍኦ ፡ ለከ ።
Locusts will consume all of your trees and the fruit of your ground.
28:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַגֵּר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּקִרְבְּךָ֔ יַעֲלֶ֥ה עָלֶ֖יךָ מַ֣עְלָה מָּ֑עְלָה וְאַתָּ֥ה תֵרֵ֖ד מַ֥טָּה מָּֽטָּה ׃
ὁ προσήλυτος ὅς ἐστιν ἐν σοί ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ σὲ ἄνω ἄνω σὺ δὲ καταβήσῃ κάτω κάτω
Advena , qui tecum versatur in terra , ascendet super te , eritque sublimior : tu autem descendes , et eris inferior .
ወፈላሲ ፡ ዘሀለወ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ የዐርግ ፡ መልዕልቴከ ፡ ወላዕሌከ ፡ ወአንተሰ ፡ ትከውን ፡ መትሕቶ ።
The foreigner who is among you will mount up above you higher and higher, and you will come down lower and lower.
28:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ ה֣וּא יַלְוְךָ֔ וְאַתָּ֖ה לֹ֣א תַלְוֶ֑נּוּ ה֚וּא יִהְיֶ֣ה לְרֹ֔אשׁ וְאַתָּ֖ה תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה לְזָנָֽב ׃
οὗτος δανιεῖ σοι σὺ δὲ τούτῳ οὐ δανιεῖς οὗτος ἔσται κεφαλή σὺ δὲ ἔσῃ οὐρά
Ipse foenerabit tibi , et tu non foenerabis ei . Ipse erit in caput , et tu eris in caudam .
ወውእቱ ፡ ይሌቅሐከ ፡ ወአንተሰ ፡ ኢትሌቅሖ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይከውነከ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ወአንተ ፡ ትከውኖ ፡ ዘነበ ።
He will lend to you, and you won’t lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail.
28:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבָ֨אוּ עָלֶ֜יךָ כׇּל ־הַקְּלָל֣וֹת הָאֵ֗לֶּה וּרְדָפ֙וּךָ֙ וְהִשִּׂיג֔וּךָ עַ֖ד הִשָּׁמְדָ֑ךְ כִּי ־לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ בְּקוֹל֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לִשְׁמֹ֛ר מִצְוֺתָ֥יו וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּֽךְ ׃
καὶ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ κατάραι αὗται καὶ καταδιώξονταί σε καὶ καταλήμψονταί σε ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃ σε καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε ὅτι οὐκ εἰσήκουσας τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου φυλάξαι τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ ὅσα ἐνετείλατό σοι
Et venient super te omnes maledictiones istae , et persequentes apprehendent te , donec intereas : quia non audisti vocem Domini Dei tui , nec servasti mandata ejus et caeremonias , quas praecepit tibi .
ወይመጽእ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መርገም ፡ ወይዴግነከ ፡ ወይረክበከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ይደመስሰከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢሰማዕከ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀብ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወኵነኔሁ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአዘዘከ ።
All these curses will come on you, and will pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you didn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you.
28:46 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֣וּ בְךָ֔ לְא֖וֹת וּלְמוֹפֵ֑ת וּֽבְזַרְעֲךָ֖ עַד ־עוֹלָֽם ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ σημεῖα καὶ τέρατα καὶ ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος
Et erunt in te signa atque prodigia , et in semine tuo usque in sempiternum :
ወይከውን ፡ ተአምር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ወመድምም ፡ ወላዕለ ፡ ዘርእከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ለዓለም ።
They will be for a sign and for a wonder to you and to your offspring forever.
28:47 ⧉ ⤴︎ תַּ֗חַת אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא ־עָבַ֙דְתָּ֙ אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ בְּשִׂמְחָ֖ה וּבְט֣וּב לֵבָ֑ב מֵרֹ֖ב כֹּֽל ׃
ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἐλάτρευσας κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ καὶ ἀγαθῇ καρδίᾳ διὰ τὸ πλῆθος πάντων
eo quod non servieris Domino Deo tuo in gaudio , cordisque laetitia , propter rerum omnium abundantiam .
እስመ ፡ ኢያምለካሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በትፍሥሕት ፡ ወበሠናይ ፡ ልብ ፡ ወበብዝኀ ፡ ኵሉ ።
Because you didn’t serve Yahweh your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart, by reason of the abundance of all things;
28:48 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעָבַדְתָּ֣ אֶת ־אֹיְבֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְשַׁלְּחֶ֤נּוּ יְהֹוָה֙ בָּ֔ךְ בְּרָעָ֧ב וּבְצָמָ֛א וּבְעֵירֹ֖ם וּבְחֹ֣סֶר כֹּ֑ל וְנָתַ֞ן עֹ֤ל בַּרְזֶל֙ עַל ־צַוָּארֶ֔ךָ עַ֥ד הִשְׁמִיד֖וֹ אֹתָֽךְ ׃
καὶ λατρεύσεις τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου οὓς ἐπαποστελεῖ κύριος ἐπὶ σέ ἐν λιμῷ καὶ ἐν δίψει καὶ ἐν γυμνότητι καὶ ἐν ἐκλείψει πάντων καὶ ἐπιθήσει κλοιὸν σιδηροῦν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλόν σου ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃ σε
Servies inimico tuo , quem immittet tibi Dominus , in fame , et siti , et nuditate , et omni penuria : et ponet jugum ferreum super cervicem tuam , donec te conterat .
ወትትቀነይ ፡ ለጸላእትከ ፡ እለ ፡ ይፌኑ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ በረኃብ ፡ ወበጽምእ ፡ ወበዕርቅና ፡ ወበኀጣአ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ወይወዲ ፡ ለከ ፡ ጋጋ ፡ ዘኀፂን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ክሳድከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ።
therefore you will serve your enemies whom Yahweh sends against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in lack of all things. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.
28:49 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִשָּׂ֣א יְהֹוָה֩ עָלֶ֨יךָ גּ֤וֹי מֵֽרָחֹק֙ מִקְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר יִדְאֶ֖ה הַנָּ֑שֶׁר גּ֕וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא ־תִשְׁמַ֖ע לְשֹׁנֽוֹ ׃
ἐπάξει κύριος ἐπὶ σὲ ἔθνος μακρόθεν ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς ὡσεὶ ὅρμημα ἀετοῦ ἔθνος ὃ οὐκ ἀκούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ
Adducet Dominus super te gentem de longinquo , et de extremis terrae finibus in similitudinem aquilae volantis cum impetu , cujus linguam intelligere non possis :
ወያመጽእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ እምርሑቅ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እምአጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ ርደተ ፡ ንስር ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢትሰምዕ ፡ ነገሮሙ ፤
Yahweh will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies: a nation whose language you will not understand,
28:50 ⧉ ⤴︎ גּ֖וֹי עַ֣ז פָּנִ֑ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא ־יִשָּׂ֤א פָנִים֙ לְזָקֵ֔ן וְנַ֖עַר לֹ֥א יָחֹֽן ׃
ἔθνος ἀναιδὲς προσώπῳ ὅστις οὐ θαυμάσει πρόσωπον πρεσβύτου καὶ νέον οὐκ ἐλεήσει
gentem procacissimam , quae non deferat seni , nec misereatur parvuli ,
ሕዝብ ፡ ግሩመ ፡ ገጽ ፡ ዘኢያከብር ፡ ገጸ ፡ ልሂቅ ፡ ወኢይምሕር ፡ ንዑሰ ፤
a nation of fierce facial expressions, that doesn’t respect the elderly, nor show favor to the young.
28:51 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְ֠אָכַ֠ל פְּרִ֨י בְהֶמְתְּךָ֥ וּפְרִֽי ־אַדְמָתְךָ֮ עַ֣ד הִשָּׁמְדָךְ֒ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא ־יַשְׁאִ֜יר לְךָ֗ דָּגָן֙ תִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָ֔ר שְׁגַ֥ר אֲלָפֶ֖יךָ וְעַשְׁתְּרֹ֣ת צֹאנֶ֑ךָ עַ֥ד הַאֲבִיד֖וֹ אֹתָֽךְ ׃
καὶ κατέδεται τὰ ἔκγονα τῶν κτηνῶν σου καὶ τὰ γενήματα τῆς γῆς σου ὥστε μὴ καταλιπεῖν σοι σῖτον οἶνον ἔλαιον τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε
et devoret fructum jumentorum tuorum , ac fruges terrae tuae : donec intereas , et non relinquat tibi triticum , vinum , et oleum , armenta boum , et greges ovium : donec te disperdat ,
ወያጠፍእ ፡ እጕለ ፡ መራዕይከ ፡ ወእክለ ፡ ምድርከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ኢያተርፍ ፡ ለከ ፡ ኢእክለ ፡ ወኢወይነ ፡ ወኢቅብአ ፡ ወኢአዕጻዳተ ፡ ላህምከ ፡ ወኢመራዕየ ፡ አባግዒከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ።
They will eat the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your ground, until you are destroyed. They also won’t leave you grain, new wine, oil, the increase of your livestock, or the young of your flock, until they have caused you to perish.
28:52 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֵצַ֨ר לְךָ֜ בְּכׇל ־שְׁעָרֶ֗יךָ עַ֣ד רֶ֤דֶת חֹמֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ הַגְּבֹהֹ֣ת וְהַבְּצֻר֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתָּ֛ה בֹּטֵ֥חַ בָּהֵ֖ן בְּכׇל ־אַרְצֶ֑ךָ וְהֵצַ֤ר לְךָ֙ בְּכׇל ־שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ בְּכׇ֨ל ־אַרְצְךָ֔ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֛ן יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לָֽךְ ׃
καὶ ἐκτρίψῃ σε ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσίν σου ἕως ἂν καθαιρεθῶσιν τὰ τείχη σου τὰ ὑψηλὰ καὶ τὰ ὀχυρά ἐφ’ οἷς σὺ πέποιθας ἐπ’ αὐτοῖς ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ σου καὶ θλίψει σε ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσίν σου αἷς ἔδωκέν σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου
et conterat in cunctis urbibus tuis , et destruantur muri tui firmi atque sublimes , in quibus habebas fiduciam in omni terra tua . Obsideberis intra portas tuas in omni terra tua , quam dabit tibi Dominus Deus tuus :
ወይደመስሰከ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያወድቅ ፡ አረፋቲከ ፡ ዐበይተ ፡ ወአጽዋኒከ ፡ ዘቦቱ ፡ ትትአመን ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በሓውርቲከ ፡ ወይሣቅየከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪከ ፡ ዘወሀበከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
They will besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. They will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Yahweh your God has given you.
28:53 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָכַלְתָּ֣ פְרִֽי ־בִטְנְךָ֗ בְּשַׂ֤ר בָּנֶ֙יךָ֙ וּבְנֹתֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַן ־לְךָ֖ יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ בְּמָצוֹר֙ וּבְמָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁר ־יָצִ֥יק לְךָ֖ אֹיְבֶֽךָ ׃
καὶ φάγῃ τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου κρέα υἱῶν σου καὶ θυγατέρων σου ὅσα ἔδωκέν σοι κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου ᾗ θλίψει σε ὁ ἐχθρός σου
et comedes fructum uteri tui , et carnes filiorum tuorum et filiarum tuarum , quas dederit tibi Dominus Deus tuus , in angustia et vastitate qua opprimet te hostis tuus .
ወ [ትበልዕ ] ፡ ውሉደ ፡ ከርሥከ ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ደቂቅከ ፡ ወአዋልዲከ ፡ ዘወሀበከ ፡ በምንዳቤከ ፡ ወበሥቃይከ ፡ ዘሣቀየከ ፡ ጸላኢከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አህጉሪከ ።
You will eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, whom Yahweh your God has given you, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemies will distress you.
28:54 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָאִישׁ֙ הָרַ֣ךְ בְּךָ֔ וְהֶעָנֹ֖ג מְאֹ֑ד תֵּרַ֨ע עֵינ֤וֹ בְאָחִיו֙ וּבְאֵ֣שֶׁת חֵיק֔וֹ וּבְיֶ֥תֶר בָּנָ֖יו אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹתִֽיר ׃
ὁ ἁπαλὸς ἐν σοὶ καὶ ὁ τρυφερὸς σφόδρα βασκανεῖ τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τὸν ἀδελφὸν καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τὴν ἐν τῷ κόλπῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ καταλελειμμένα τέκνα ἃ ἂν καταλειφθῇ
Homo delicatus in te , et luxuriosus valde , invidebit fratri suo , et uxori , quae cubat in sinu suo ,
ረኀጽከሂ ፡ ወለምለምከሂ ፡ ወትደነፁ ፡ ዐይኑ ፡ ለእኁሁ ፡ ወለብእሲቱ ፡ እንተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሕፅኑ ፡ ወዘተርፈ ፡ ውሉድ ፡ ዘአትረፉ ፡ ሎሙ ።
The man who is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye will be evil toward his brother, toward the wife whom he loves, and toward the remnant of his children whom he has remaining,
28:55 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִתֵּ֣ת ׀ לְאַחַ֣ד מֵהֶ֗ם מִבְּשַׂ֤ר בָּנָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֹאכֵ֔ל מִבְּלִ֥י הִשְׁאִֽיר ־ל֖וֹ כֹּ֑ל בְּמָצוֹר֙ וּבְמָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצִ֥יק לְךָ֛ אֹיִבְךָ֖ בְּכׇל ־שְׁעָרֶֽיךָ ׃
ὥστε δοῦναι ἑνὶ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν σαρκῶν τῶν τέκνων αὐτοῦ ὧν ἂν κατέσθῃ διὰ τὸ μὴ καταλειφθῆναι αὐτῷ μηθὲν ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου ᾗ ἂν θλίψωσίν σε οἱ ἐχθροί σου ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσίν σου
ne det eis de carnibus filiorum suorum , quas comedet : eo quod nihil aliud habeat in obsidione et penuria , qua vastaverint te inimici tui intra omnes portas tuas .
ይሁብዎሙ ፡ ለለ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ፡ ሥጋ ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ይሴሰዩ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢያትረፉ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወኢምንተ ፡ በሥቃይ ፡ ወበምንዳቤ ፡ ዘይሣቅዩከ ፡ ጸላእትከ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪከ ።
so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he will eat, because he has nothing left to him, in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in all your gates.
28:56 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָרַכָּ֨ה בְךָ֜ וְהָעֲנֻגָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא ־נִסְּתָ֤ה כַף ־רַגְלָהּ֙ הַצֵּ֣ג עַל ־הָאָ֔רֶץ מֵהִתְעַנֵּ֖ג וּמֵרֹ֑ךְ תֵּרַ֤ע עֵינָהּ֙ בְּאִ֣ישׁ חֵיקָ֔הּ וּבִבְנָ֖הּ וּבְבִתָּֽהּ ׃
καὶ ἡ ἁπαλὴ ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ἡ τρυφερὰ σφόδρα ἧς οὐχὶ πεῖραν ἔλαβεν ὁ ποὺς αὐτῆς βαίνειν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς διὰ τὴν τρυφερότητα καὶ διὰ τὴν ἁπαλότητα βασκανεῖ τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ αὐτῆς τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς τὸν ἐν τῷ κόλπῳ αὐτῆς καὶ τὸν υἱὸν καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτῆς
Tenera mulier et delicata , quae super terram ingredi non valebat , nec pedis vestigium figere , propter mollitiem et teneritudinem nimiam , invidebit viro suo , qui cubat in sinu ejus , super filii et filiae carnibus ,
ወእንተ ፡ ረኃጽኒ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ እምኔክሙ ፡ ወእንተሂ ፡ ድክምት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ትሜህር ፡ እገሪሃ ፡ ሐዊረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወእስመ ፡ ረኃፅ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወድክምት ፡ ትደነጽዎ ፡ ዐይና ፡ ለምታ ፡ ዘዲበ ፡ ሕፅና ፡ ወለወልዳ ፡ ወለወለታ ።
The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye will be evil toward the husband that she loves, toward her son, toward her daughter,
28:57 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּֽבְשִׁלְיָתָ֞הּ הַיּוֹצֵ֣ת ׀ מִבֵּ֣ין רַגְלֶ֗יהָ וּבְבָנֶ֙יהָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֵּלֵ֔ד כִּֽי ־תֹאכְלֵ֥ם בְּחֹסֶר ־כֹּ֖ל בַּסָּ֑תֶר בְּמָצוֹר֙ וּבְמָצ֔וֹק אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצִ֥יק לְךָ֛ אֹיִבְךָ֖ בִּשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ ׃
καὶ τὸ χόριον αὐτῆς τὸ ἐξελθὸν διὰ τῶν μηρῶν αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ τέκνον ὃ ἂν τέκῃ καταφάγεται γὰρ αὐτὰ διὰ τὴν ἔνδειαν πάντων κρυφῇ ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου ᾗ θλίψει σε ὁ ἐχθρός σου ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσίν σου
et illuvie secundarum , quae egrediuntur de medio feminum ejus , et super liberis qui eadem hora nati sunt . Comedent enim eos clam propter rerum omnium penuriam in obsidione et vastitate , qua opprimet te inimicus tuus intra portas tuas .
ወለሥጋሃ ፡ ዘእምውስተ ፡ አባላ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወሕፃናሂ ፡ ዘወለደት ፡ ትበልዕ ፡ ጽምሚተ ፡ ሶበ ፡ ኀጥአት ፡ ኵሎ ፡ በምንዳቤ ፡ ወበሥቃይ ፡ ዘይሣቅየከ ፡ ጸላኢከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አህጉሪከ ፤
toward her young one who comes out from between her feet, and toward her children whom she bears; for she will eat them secretly for lack of all things in the siege and in the distress with which your enemy will distress you in your gates.
28:58 ⧉ ⤴︎ אִם ־לֹ֨א תִשְׁמֹ֜ר לַעֲשׂ֗וֹת אֶת ־כׇּל ־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַתּוֹרָ֣ה הַזֹּ֔את הַכְּתֻבִ֖ים בַּסֵּ֣פֶר הַזֶּ֑ה לְ֠יִרְאָ֠ה אֶת ־הַשֵּׁ֞ם הַנִּכְבָּ֤ד וְהַנּוֹרָא֙ הַזֶּ֔ה אֵ֖ת יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ ׃
ἐὰν μὴ εἰσακούσητε ποιεῖν πάντα τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ νόμου τούτου τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ φοβεῖσθαι τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἔντιμον καὶ τὸ θαυμαστὸν τοῦτο κύριον τὸν θεόν σου
Nisi custodieris et feceris omnia verba legis hujus , quae scripta sunt in hoc volumine , et timueris nomen ejus gloriosum et terribile , hoc est , Dominum Deum tuum :
ለእመ ፡ ኢሰማዕከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ነገሮ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ዘጽሑፍ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ መጽሐፍ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትፍራህ ፡ ስመ ፡ ክቡር ፡ ወስቡሕ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, YAHWEH your God,
28:59 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִפְלָ֤א יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת ־מַכֹּ֣תְךָ֔ וְאֵ֖ת מַכּ֣וֹת זַרְעֶ֑ךָ מַכּ֤וֹת גְּדֹלֹת֙ וְנֶ֣אֱמָנ֔וֹת וׇחֳלָיִ֖ם רָעִ֥ים וְנֶאֱמָנִֽים ׃
καὶ παραδοξάσει κύριος τὰς πληγάς σου καὶ τὰς πληγὰς τοῦ σπέρματός σου πληγὰς μεγάλας καὶ θαυμαστάς καὶ νόσους πονηρὰς καὶ πιστὰς
augebit Dominus plagas tuas , et plagas seminis tui , plagas magnas et perseverantes , infirmitates pessimas et perpetuas :
ወይገብር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነኪረ ፡ መቅሠፍተከ ፡ ወመቅሠፍተ ፡ ዘርእከ ፡ መቅሠፍተ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወመድምመ ፡ ወደዌ ፡ እኩየ ፡ ወሕማመ ።
then Yahweh will make your plagues and the plagues of your offspring fearful, even great plagues, and of long duration, and severe sicknesses, and of long duration.
28:60 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֵשִׁ֣יב בְּךָ֗ אֵ֚ת כׇּל ־מַדְוֵ֣ה מִצְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָגֹ֖רְתָּ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם וְדָבְק֖וּ בָּֽךְ ׃
καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαν τὴν ὀδύνην Αἰγύπτου τὴν πονηράν ἣν διευλαβοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ κολληθήσονται ἐν σοί
et convertet in te omnes afflictiones Aegypti , quas timuisti , et adhaerebunt tibi .
ወይገብእ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ደዌሆሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ዝክቱ ፡ ዘኢፈራህከ ፡ (እምኔሁ ፡ ወኢፈራህከ ፡) እምቅድመ ፡ ገጾሙ ፡ ወይተሉ ፡ ዲቤከ ።
He will bring on you again all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they will cling to you.
28:61 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּ֤ם כׇּל ־חֳלִי֙ וְכׇל ־מַכָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א כָת֔וּב בְּסֵ֖פֶר הַתּוֹרָ֣ה הַזֹּ֑את יַעְלֵ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ עָלֶ֔יךָ עַ֖ד הִשָּׁמְדָֽךְ ׃
καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν καὶ πᾶσαν πληγὴν τὴν μὴ γεγραμμένην ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τοῦ νόμου τούτου ἐπάξει κύριος ἐπὶ σέ ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃ σε
Insuper et universos languores , et plagas , quae non sunt scriptae in volumine legis hujus , inducet Dominus super te , donec te conterat :
ወኵሉ ፡ ደዌ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ መቅሠፍት ፡ ዘኢኮነ ፡ ጽሑፈ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ሕግ ፡ ያመጽእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ እስከ ፡ ያጠፍአከ ፡ ወእስከ ፡ ትደመሰሱ ።
Also every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, Yahweh will bring them on you until you are destroyed.
28:62 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנִשְׁאַרְתֶּם֙ בִּמְתֵ֣י מְעָ֔ט תַּ֚חַת אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֱיִיתֶ֔ם כְּכוֹכְבֵ֥י הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם לָרֹ֑ב כִּֽי ־לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔עְתָּ בְּק֖וֹל יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ ׃
καὶ καταλειφθήσεσθε ἐν ἀριθμῷ βραχεῖ ἀνθ’ ὧν ὅτι ἦτε ὡσεὶ τὰ ἄστρα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῷ πλήθει ὅτι οὐκ εἰσηκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν
et remanebitis pauci numero , qui prius eratis sicut astra caeli prae multitudine , quoniam non audisti vocem Domini Dei tui .
ወትተርፉ ፡ ኅዳጠ ፡ በኍልቍ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ከዋክብተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ብዝኅክሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ።
You will be left few in number, even though you were as the stars of the sky for multitude, because you didn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice.
28:63 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְ֠הָיָ֠ה כַּאֲשֶׁר ־שָׂ֨שׂ יְהֹוָ֜ה עֲלֵיכֶ֗ם לְהֵיטִ֣יב אֶתְכֶם֮ וּלְהַרְבּ֣וֹת אֶתְכֶם֒ כֵּ֣ן יָשִׂ֤ישׂ יְהֹוָה֙ עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם לְהַאֲבִ֥יד אֶתְכֶ֖ם וּלְהַשְׁמִ֣יד אֶתְכֶ֑ם וְנִסַּחְתֶּם֙ מֵעַ֣ל הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־אַתָּ֥ה בָא ־שָׁ֖מָּה לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον εὐφράνθη κύριος ἐφ’ ὑμῖν εὖ ποιῆσαι ὑμᾶς καὶ πληθῦναι ὑμᾶς οὕτως εὐφρανθήσεται κύριος ἐφ’ ὑμῖν ἐξολεθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξαρθήσεσθε ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν
Et sicut ante laetatus est Dominus super vos , bene vobis faciens , vosque multiplicans : sic laetabitur disperdens vos atque subvertens , ut auferamini de terra , ad quam ingredieris possidendam .
ወበከመ ፡ ተፈሥሐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይግበር ፡ ሠናይተ ፡ ዲቤክሙ ፡ ወአብዝኀክሙ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይትፌሣሕ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዲቤክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሤርወክሙ ፡ ወትጠፍኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ትበውኡ ፡ ህየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትትወረስዋ ።
It will happen that as Yahweh rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so Yahweh will rejoice over you to cause you to perish and to destroy you. You will be plucked from the land that you are going in to possess.
28:64 ⧉ ⤴︎ וֶהֱפִֽיצְךָ֤ יְהֹוָה֙ בְּכׇל ־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים מִקְצֵ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ וְעַד ־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץ וְעָבַ֨דְתָּ שָּׁ֜ם אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹא ־יָדַ֛עְתָּ אַתָּ֥ה וַאֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ עֵ֥ץ וָאָֽבֶן ׃
καὶ διασπερεῖ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἀπ’ ἄκρου τῆς γῆς ἕως ἄκρου τῆς γῆς καὶ δουλεύσεις ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις ξύλοις καὶ λίθοις οὓς οὐκ ἠπίστω σὺ καὶ οἱ πατέρες σου
Disperget te Dominus in omnes populos , a summitate terrae usque ad terminos ejus : et servies ibi diis alienis , quos et tu ignoras et patres tui , lignis et lapidibus .
ወይዘርወከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እምነ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ እስከ ፡ አጽናፈ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወትትቀነይ ፡ በህየ ፡ ለባዕድ ፡ አማልክት ፡ ለእበን ፡ ወለዕፀው ፡ ለዘ ፡ ኢታአምር ፡ አንተ ፡ ወአበዊከ ።
Yahweh will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth. There you will serve other gods which you have not known, you nor your fathers, even wood and stone.
28:65 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבַגּוֹיִ֤ם הָהֵם֙ לֹ֣א תַרְגִּ֔יעַ וְלֹא ־יִהְיֶ֥ה מָנ֖וֹחַ לְכַף ־רַגְלֶ֑ךָ וְנָתַן֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה לְךָ֥ שָׁם֙ לֵ֣ב רַגָּ֔ז וְכִלְי֥וֹן עֵינַ֖יִם וְדַאֲב֥וֹן נָֽפֶשׁ ׃
ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐκείνοις οὐκ ἀναπαύσει σε οὐδ’ οὐ μὴ γένηται στάσις τῷ ἴχνει τοῦ ποδός σου καὶ δώσει σοι κύριος ἐκεῖ καρδίαν ἀθυμοῦσαν καὶ ἐκλείποντας ὀφθαλμοὺς καὶ τηκομένην ψυχήν
In gentibus quoque illis non quiesces , neque erit requies vestigio pedis tui . Dabit enim tibi Dominus ibi cor pavidum , et deficientes oculos , et animam consumptam moerore :
ወበህየኒ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ኢያዐርፈከ ፡ ወኢያበውሐከ ፡ ትቁም ፡ እግርከ ፡ ወይሁበከ ፡ በህየ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልበ ፡ ሕዙነ ፡ ወአዕይንተ ፡ ጥፉኣተ ፡ ወነፍሰ ፡ ምንሱተ ።
Among these nations you will find no ease, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; but Yahweh will give you there a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and pining of soul.
28:66 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֣וּ חַיֶּ֔יךָ תְּלֻאִ֥ים לְךָ֖ מִנֶּ֑גֶד וּפָֽחַדְתָּ֙ לַ֣יְלָה וְיוֹמָ֔ם וְלֹ֥א תַאֲמִ֖ין בְּחַיֶּֽיךָ ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἡ ζωή σου κρεμαμένη ἀπέναντι τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου καὶ φοβηθήσῃ ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς καὶ οὐ πιστεύσεις τῇ ζωῇ σου
et erit vita tua quasi pendens ante te . Timebis nocte et die , et non credes vitae tuae .
ወትከውን ፡ ሕይወትከ ፡ ስቅልተ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ፡ ወትደነግፅ ፡ ለሊከ ፡ መዐልተ ፡ [ወሌሊተ ፡] ወኢትትአመን ፡ በሕይወትከ ።
Your life will hang in doubt before you. You will be afraid night and day, and will have no assurance of your life.
28:67 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּבֹּ֤קֶר תֹּאמַר֙ מִֽי ־יִתֵּ֣ן עֶ֔רֶב וּבָעֶ֥רֶב תֹּאמַ֖ר מִֽי ־יִתֵּ֣ן בֹּ֑קֶר מִפַּ֤חַד לְבָֽבְךָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּפְחָ֔ד וּמִמַּרְאֵ֥ה עֵינֶ֖יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּרְאֶֽה ׃
τὸ πρωὶ ἐρεῖς πῶς ἂν γένοιτο ἑσπέρα καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας ἐρεῖς πῶς ἂν γένοιτο πρωί ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου τῆς καρδίας σου ἃ φοβηθήσῃ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁραμάτων τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου ὧν ὄψῃ
Mane dices : Quis mihi det vesperum ? et vespere : Quis mihi det mane ? propter cordis tui formidinem , qua terreberis , et propter ea , quae tuis videbis oculis .
ለእመ ፡ ጸብሐ ፡ ትብል ፡ እፎ ፡ እንጋ ፡ ይመሲ ፡ ወለእመ ፡ መስየ ፡ ትብል ፡ እፎ ፡ ይጸብሕ ፡ እምነ ፡ ፍርሀተ ፡ ልብ ፡ ዘትደነግፅ ፡ ወእምነ ፡ ዘያስተርእየከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አዕይንቲከ ፡ ወዘትሬኢ ።
In the morning you will say, “I wish it were evening!” and at evening you will say, “I wish it were morning!” for the fear of your heart which you will fear, and for the sights which your eyes will see.
28:68 ⧉ ⤴︎ וֶהֱשִֽׁיבְךָ֨ יְהֹוָ֥ה ׀מִצְרַ֘יִם֮ בׇּאֳנִיּוֹת֒ בַּדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֣רְתִּֽי לְךָ֔ לֹא ־תֹסִ֥יף ע֖וֹד לִרְאֹתָ֑הּ וְהִתְמַכַּרְתֶּ֨ם שָׁ֧ם לְאֹיְבֶ֛יךָ לַעֲבָדִ֥ים וְלִשְׁפָח֖וֹת וְאֵ֥ין קֹנֶֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀποστρέψει σε κύριος εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἐν πλοίοις καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ᾗ εἶπα οὐ προσθήσεσθε ἔτι ἰδεῖν αὐτήν καὶ πραθήσεσθε ἐκεῖ τοῖς ἐχθροῖς ὑμῶν εἰς παῖδας καὶ παιδίσκας καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ κτώμενος
Reducet te Dominus classibus in Aegyptum per viam de qua dixit tibi ut eam amplius non videres . Ibi venderis inimicis tuis in servos et ancillas , et non erit qui emat .
ወያገብአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በአሕማር ፡ ወእንተ ፡ ምድርኒ ፡ በእግር ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ዘአቤ ፡ ኢትደግሙ ፡ እንከ ፡ ርእዮታ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ወትከውኑ ፡ በህየ ፡ አግብርተ ፡ ወአእማተ ፡ ለፀርክሙ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘያስተምሕረክሙ ። ወዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ነገረ ፡ ኪዳን ፡ ዘአዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትካየዶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በምድረ ፡ ሞአብ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ዝክቱ ፡ ኪዳን ፡ ዘተካየዶሙ ፡ በኮሬብ ።
Yahweh will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I told you that you would never see it again. There you will offer yourselves to your enemies for male and female slaves, and nobody will buy you.
28:69 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֵ֩לֶּה֩ דִבְרֵ֨י הַבְּרִ֜ית אֲֽשֶׁר ־צִוָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֣ה אֶת ־מֹשֶׁ֗ה לִכְרֹ֛ת אֶת ־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מוֹאָ֑ב מִלְּבַ֣ד הַבְּרִ֔ית אֲשֶׁר ־כָּרַ֥ת אִתָּ֖ם בְּחֹרֵֽב ׃ {פ}
οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι τῆς διαθήκης οὓς ἐνετείλατο κύριος Μωυσῇ στῆσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν γῇ Μωαβ πλὴν τῆς διαθήκης ἧς διέθετο αὐτοῖς ἐν Χωρηβ
— — Yahweh will bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way of which I told you that you would never see it again. There you will offer yourselves to your enemies for male and female slaves, and nobody will buy you.
