10:1
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה בֹּ֖א אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה כִּֽי־אֲנִ֞י הִכְבַּ֤דְתִּי אֶת־לִבּוֹ֙ וְאֶת־לֵ֣ב עֲבָדָ֔יו לְמַ֗עַן שִׁתִ֛י אֹתֹתַ֥י אֵ֖לֶּה בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων εἴσελθε πρὸς Φαραω ἐγὼ γὰρ ἐσκλήρυνα αὐτοῦ τὴν καρδίαν καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ ἵνα ἑξῆς ἐπέλθῃ τὰ σημεῖα ταῦτα ἐπ’ αὐτούς
Et dixit Dominus ad Moysen : Ingredere ad Pharaonem : ego enim induravi cor ejus, et servorum illius, ut faciam signa mea haec in eo :
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ባእ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ አክበድኩ ፡ ልቦ ፡ ወለዐበይቱሂ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዕሩየ ፡ ይምጻእ ፡ ተአምርየ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs among them;
10:2
וּלְמַ֡עַן תְּסַפֵּר֩ בְּאׇזְנֵ֨י בִנְךָ֜ וּבֶן־בִּנְךָ֗ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִתְעַלַּ֙לְתִּי֙ בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם וְאֶת־אֹתֹתַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי בָ֑ם וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ם כִּי־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃
ὅπως διηγήσησθε εἰς τὰ ὦτα τῶν τέκνων ὑμῶν καὶ τοῖς τέκνοις τῶν τέκνων ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐμπέπαιχα τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις καὶ τὰ σημεῖά μου ἃ ἐποίησα ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος
et narres in auribus filii tui, et nepotum tuorum, quoties contriverim Aegyptios, et signa mea fecerim in eis : et sciatis quia ego Dominus.
ወከመ ፡ ትንግሩ ፡ ለደቂቅክሙ ፡ ወለደቂቀ ፡ ደቂቅክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘተሳለቁ ፡ በግብጽ ፡ ወተአምርየ ፡ ዘገበርኩ ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወታእምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Yahweh.”
10:3
וַיָּבֹ֨א מֹשֶׁ֣ה וְאַהֲרֹן֮ אֶל־פַּרְעֹה֒ וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים עַד־מָתַ֣י מֵאַ֔נְתָּ לֵעָנֹ֖ת מִפָּנָ֑י שַׁלַּ֥ח עַמִּ֖י וְיַֽעַבְדֻֽנִי׃
εἰσῆλθεν δὲ Μωυσῆς καὶ Ααρων ἐναντίον Φαραω καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων ἕως τίνος οὐ βούλει ἐντραπῆναί με ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαόν μου ἵνα λατρεύσωσίν μοι
Introierunt ergo Moyses et Aaron ad Pharaonem, et dixerunt ei : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Hebraeorum : Usquequo non vis subjici mihi ? dimitte populum meum, ut sacrificet mihi.
ወቦኡ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአሮን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወይቤልዎ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ ዕብራዊያን ፡ እስከ ፡ ምንትኑ ፡ ተአቢ ፡ ኀፊሮትየ ፡ ወኢትፌኑ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይፀመዱኒ ።
Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, “This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, that they may serve me.
10:4
כִּ֛י אִם־מָאֵ֥ן אַתָּ֖ה לְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ אֶת־עַמִּ֑י הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֥יא מָחָ֛ר אַרְבֶּ֖ה בִּגְבֻלֶֽךָ׃
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ θέλῃς σὺ ἐξαποστεῖλαι τὸν λαόν μου ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ταύτην τὴν ὥραν αὔριον ἀκρίδα πολλὴν ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὅριά σου
Sin autem resistis, et non vis dimittere eum : ecce ego inducam cras locustam in fines tuos :
ወእመ ፡ አበይከ ፡ ፈንዎተ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አመጽእ ፡ ጌሠመ ፡ ዘጊዜ ፡ አንበጣ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አድባሪከ ።
Or else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your country,
10:5
וְכִסָּה֙ אֶת־עֵ֣ין הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹ֥א יוּכַ֖ל לִרְאֹ֣ת אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְאָכַ֣ל׀ אֶת־יֶ֣תֶר הַפְּלֵטָ֗ה הַנִּשְׁאֶ֤רֶת לָכֶם֙ מִן־הַבָּרָ֔ד וְאָכַל֙ אֶת־כׇּל־הָעֵ֔ץ הַצֹּמֵ֥חַ לָכֶ֖ם מִן־הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃
καὶ καλύψει τὴν ὄψιν τῆς γῆς καὶ οὐ δυνήσῃ κατιδεῖν τὴν γῆν καὶ κατέδεται πᾶν τὸ περισσὸν τῆς γῆς τὸ καταλειφθέν ὃ κατέλιπεν ὑμῖν ἡ χάλαζα καὶ κατέδεται πᾶν ξύλον τὸ φυόμενον ὑμῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
quae operiat superficiem terrae, ne quidquam ejus appareat, sed comedatur quod residuum fuerit grandini : corrodet enim omnia ligna quae germinant in agris.
ወይከድን ፡ ገጻ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወኢትክል ፡ ርእዮታ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወይበልዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ተረፈ ፡ ዘተረፈ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘአትረፈ ፡ በረድ ፡ ወይበልዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ዘአብቈልክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
and they shall cover the surface of the earth, so that one won’t be able to see the earth. They shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field.
10:6
וּמָלְא֨וּ בָתֶּ֜יךָ וּבָתֵּ֣י כׇל־עֲבָדֶ֘יךָ֮ וּבָתֵּ֣י כׇל־מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־רָא֤וּ אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ וַאֲב֣וֹת אֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ מִיּ֗וֹם הֱיוֹתָם֙ עַל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וַיִּ֥פֶן וַיֵּצֵ֖א מֵעִ֥ם פַּרְעֹֽה׃
καὶ πλησθήσονταί σου αἱ οἰκίαι καὶ αἱ οἰκίαι τῶν θεραπόντων σου καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ οἰκίαι ἐν πάσῃ γῇ τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ἃ οὐδέποτε ἑωράκασιν οἱ πατέρες σου οὐδὲ οἱ πρόπαπποι αὐτῶν ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας γεγόνασιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ἐκκλίνας Μωυσῆς ἐξῆλθεν ἀπὸ Φαραω
Et implebunt domos tuas, et servorum tuorum, et omnium Aegyptiorum, quantam non viderunt patres tui, et avi, ex quo orti sunt super terram, usque in praesentem diem. Avertitque se, et egressus est a Pharaone.
ወይመልእ ፡ አብያቲከ ፡ ወዘዐበይትከ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ዘእምአመ ፡ ኮኑ ፡ ኢርእዩ ፡ አበዊከ ፡ ወኢእለ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ አማሑቶሙ ፡ እምአመ ፡ ተፈጥሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እስከ ፡ ዛዕለት ፤ ወተግሕሡ ፡ ወወፅኡ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ።
Your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians, as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day.’” He turned, and went out from Pharaoh.
10:7
וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩ עַבְדֵ֨י פַרְעֹ֜ה אֵלָ֗יו עַד־מָתַי֙ יִהְיֶ֨ה זֶ֥ה לָ֙נוּ֙ לְמוֹקֵ֔שׁ שַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים וְיַֽעַבְד֖וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם הֲטֶ֣רֶם תֵּדַ֔ע כִּ֥י אָבְדָ֖ה מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ λέγουσιν οἱ θεράποντες Φαραω πρὸς αὐτόν ἕως τίνος ἔσται τοῦτο ἡμῖν σκῶλον ἐξαπόστειλον τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ὅπως λατρεύσωσιν τῷ θεῷ αὐτῶν ἢ εἰδέναι βούλει ὅτι ἀπόλωλεν Αἴγυπτος
Dixerunt autem servi Pharaonis ad eum : Usquequo patiemur hoc scandalum ? dimitte homines, ut sacrificent Domino Deo suo ; nonne vides quod perierit Aegyptus ?
ወይቤልዎ ፡ ዐበይቱ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜ ፡ ትከውን ፡ ዲቤነ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ዕፅብት ፡ ፈኑ ፡ ሰብአ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይፀመድዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ አው ፡ ታእምርኑ ፡ ትፈቅድ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተሐጕለት ፡ ግብጽ ።
Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh, their God. Don’t you yet know that Egypt is destroyed?”
10:8
וַיּוּשַׁ֞ב אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאֶֽת־אַהֲרֹן֙ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם לְכ֥וּ עִבְד֖וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם מִ֥י וָמִ֖י הַהֹלְכִֽים׃
καὶ ἀπέστρεψαν τόν τε Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων πρὸς Φαραω καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς πορεύεσθε καὶ λατρεύσατε τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν τίνες δὲ καὶ τίνες εἰσὶν οἱ πορευόμενοι
Revocaveruntque Moysen et Aaron ad Pharaonem : qui dixit eis : Ite, sacrificate Domino Deo vestro : quinam sunt qui ituri sunt ?
ወጸውዕዎሙ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ (ፈርዖን ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡) ሑሩ ፡ ወተፀመዱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወባሕቱ ፡ መኑ ፡ ወመኑ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ተሐውሩ ።
Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “Go, serve Yahweh your God; but who are those who will go?”
10:9
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה בִּנְעָרֵ֥ינוּ וּבִזְקֵנֵ֖ינוּ נֵלֵ֑ךְ בְּבָנֵ֨ינוּ וּבִבְנוֹתֵ֜נוּ בְּצֹאנֵ֤נוּ וּבִבְקָרֵ֙נוּ֙ נֵלֵ֔ךְ כִּ֥י חַג־יְהֹוָ֖ה לָֽנוּ׃
καὶ λέγει Μωυσῆς σὺν τοῖς νεανίσκοις καὶ πρεσβυτέροις πορευσόμεθα σὺν τοῖς υἱοῖς καὶ θυγατράσιν καὶ προβάτοις καὶ βουσὶν ἡμῶν ἔστιν γὰρ ἑορτὴ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν
Ait Moyses : Cum parvulis nostris, et senioribus pergemus, cum filiis et filiabus, cum ovibus et armentis : est enim solemnitas Domini Dei nostri.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ወራዙቲነ ፡ ወአእሩጊነ ፡ ነሐውር ፡ ወምስለ ፡ ደቂቅነ ፡ ወአዋልዲነ ፡ ወአባግዒነ ፡ ወአልህምቲነ ፡ እስመ ፡ በዓለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘአምላክነ ።
Moses said, “We will go with our young and with our old. We will go with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds; for we must hold a feast to Yahweh.”
10:10
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֗ם יְהִ֨י כֵ֤ן יְהֹוָה֙ עִמָּכֶ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר אֲשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶ֖ם וְאֶֽת־טַפְּכֶ֑ם רְא֕וּ כִּ֥י רָעָ֖ה נֶ֥גֶד פְּנֵיכֶֽם׃
καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς ἔστω οὕτως κύριος μεθ’ ὑμῶν καθότι ἀποστέλλω ὑμᾶς μὴ καὶ τὴν ἀποσκευὴν ὑμῶν ἴδετε ὅτι πονηρία πρόκειται ὑμῖν
Et respondit Pharao : Sic Dominus sit vobiscum, quomodo ego dimittam vos, et parvulos vestros, cui dubium est quod pessime cogitetis ?
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ (ፈርዖን ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡) ይኩን ፡ ከመዝ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌክሙ ፤ ናሁ ፡ ኪያክሙሰ ፡ እፌንወክሙ ፡ ወንዋይክሙሂ ፡ አእምሩኬ ፡ ከመ ፡ እኪተ ፡ ትሔልዩ ።
He said to them, “Yahweh be with you if I let you go with your little ones! See, evil is clearly before your faces.
10:11
לֹ֣א כֵ֗ן לְכֽוּ־נָ֤א הַגְּבָרִים֙ וְעִבְד֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּ֥י אֹתָ֖הּ אַתֶּ֣ם מְבַקְשִׁ֑ים וַיְגָ֣רֶשׁ אֹתָ֔ם מֵאֵ֖ת פְּנֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃ {ס}
μὴ οὕτως πορευέσθωσαν δὲ οἱ ἄνδρες καὶ λατρεύσατε τῷ θεῷ τοῦτο γὰρ αὐτοὶ ζητεῖτε ἐξέβαλον δὲ αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου Φαραω
non fiet ita, sed ite tantum viri, et sacrificate Domino : hoc enim et ipsi petistis. Statimque ejecti sunt de conspectu Pharaonis.
ከመዝኑ ፡ የሐውር ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ይፀመዶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ምንተ ፡ እንከ ፡ ተኀሡ ፤ ወአውፅእዎሙ ፡ አፍአ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ፈርዖን ።
Not so! Go now you who are men, and serve Yahweh; for that is what you desire!” Then they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.
10:12
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה נְטֵ֨ה יָדְךָ֜ עַל־אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ בָּֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה וְיַ֖עַל עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְיֹאכַל֙ אֶת־כׇּל־עֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָ֔רֶץ אֵ֛ת כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִשְׁאִ֖יר הַבָּרָֽד׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρα ἐπὶ γῆν Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἀναβήτω ἀκρὶς ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ κατέδεται πᾶσαν βοτάνην τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα τὸν καρπὸν τῶν ξύλων ὃν ὑπελίπετο ἡ χάλαζα
Dixit autem Dominus ad Moysen : Extende manum tuam super terram Aegypti ad locustam, ut ascendat super eam, et devoret omnem herbam quae residua fuerit grandini.
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ስፋሕ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወይዕረግ ፡ አንበጣ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወይብላዕ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ዘአትረፈ ፡ በረድ ።
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.”
10:13
וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־מַטֵּ֘הוּ֮ עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ וַֽיהֹוָ֗ה נִהַ֤ג רֽוּחַ־קָדִים֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ כׇּל־הַיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא וְכׇל־הַלָּ֑יְלָה הַבֹּ֣קֶר הָיָ֔ה וְר֙וּחַ֙ הַקָּדִ֔ים נָשָׂ֖א אֶת־הָאַרְבֶּֽה׃
καὶ ἐπῆρεν Μωυσῆς τὴν ῥάβδον εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν καὶ κύριος ἐπήγαγεν ἄνεμον νότον ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐκείνην καὶ ὅλην τὴν νύκτα τὸ πρωὶ ἐγενήθη καὶ ὁ ἄνεμος ὁ νότος ἀνέλαβεν τὴν ἀκρίδα
Et extendit Moyses virgam super terram Aegypti : et Dominus induxit ventum urentem tota die illa et nocte : et mane facto, ventus urens levavit locustas.
ወአልዐለ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ በትሮ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወአምጽአ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነፋሰ ፡ አዜብ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኵልሄ ፡ ይእተ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ሌሊተ ፡ እስከ ፡ ጸብሐ ፡ ወዝኩ ፡ ነፋሰ ፡ አዜብ ፡ ነሥኦ ፡ ለአንበጣ ፤
Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh brought an east wind on the land all that day, and all night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
10:14
וַיַּ֣עַל הָֽאַרְבֶּ֗ה עַ֚ל כׇּל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיָּ֕נַח בְּכֹ֖ל גְּב֣וּל מִצְרָ֑יִם כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֔ד לְ֠פָנָ֠יו לֹא־הָ֨יָה כֵ֤ן אַרְבֶּה֙ כָּמֹ֔הוּ וְאַחֲרָ֖יו לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה־כֵּֽן׃
καὶ ἀνήγαγεν αὐτὴν ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου καὶ κατέπαυσεν ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ὅρια Αἰγύπτου πολλὴ σφόδρα προτέρα αὐτῆς οὐ γέγονεν τοιαύτη ἀκρὶς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως
Quae ascenderunt super universam terram Aegypti : et sederunt in cunctis finibus Aegyptiorum innumerabiles, quales ante illud tempus non fuerant, nec postea futurae sunt.
ወወሰዶ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወነበረ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ብዙኅ ፡ ጥቀ ፡ ወዕዙዝ ፡ ዘእምቅድሜሁ ፡ ኢኮነ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አንበጣ ፡ ወእምድኅሬሁ ፡ አልቦቱ ፡ ከማሁ ።
The locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the borders of Egypt. They were very grievous. Before them there were no such locusts as they, nor will there ever be again.
10:15
וַיְכַ֞ס אֶת־עֵ֣ין כׇּל־הָאָ֘רֶץ֮ וַתֶּחְשַׁ֣ךְ הָאָ֒רֶץ֒ וַיֹּ֜אכַל אֶת־כׇּל־עֵ֣שֶׂב הָאָ֗רֶץ וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־פְּרִ֣י הָעֵ֔ץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הוֹתִ֖יר הַבָּרָ֑ד וְלֹא־נוֹתַ֨ר כׇּל־יֶ֧רֶק בָּעֵ֛ץ וּבְעֵ֥שֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐκάλυψεν τὴν ὄψιν τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐφθάρη ἡ γῆ καὶ κατέφαγεν πᾶσαν βοτάνην τῆς γῆς καὶ πάντα τὸν καρπὸν τῶν ξύλων ὃς ὑπελείφθη ἀπὸ τῆς χαλάζης οὐχ ὑπελείφθη χλωρὸν οὐδὲν ἐν τοῖς ξύλοις καὶ ἐν πάσῃ βοτάνῃ τοῦ πεδίου ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου
Operueruntque universam superficiem terrae, vastantes omnia. Devorata est igitur herba terrae, et quidquid pomorum in arboribus fuit, quae grando dimiserat : nihilque omnino virens relictum est in lignis et in herbis terrae, in cuncta Aegypto.
ወከደነ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወማሰነት ፡ ምድር ፡ ወበልዐ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ፍሬ ፡ ዕፅ ፡ ዘተርፈ ፡ እምበረድ ፡ ወኢተርፈ ፡ ኀመልማል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዕፀው ፡ ወኢአሐቲ ፡ ወኢውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ ሐቅል ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
For they covered the surface of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened, and they ate every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left. There remained nothing green, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
10:16
וַיְמַהֵ֣ר פַּרְעֹ֔ה לִקְרֹ֖א לְמֹשֶׁ֣ה וּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֑ן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר חָטָ֛אתִי לַיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֖ם וְלָכֶֽם׃
κατέσπευδεν δὲ Φαραω καλέσαι Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων ἡμάρτηκα ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς ὑμᾶς
Quam ob rem festinus Pharao vocavit Moysen et Aaron, et dixit eis : Peccavi in Dominum Deum vestrum, et in vos.
ወጐጕአ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ጸውዖቶሙ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ አበስኩ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወዲቤክሙ ።
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste, and he said, “I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.
10:17
וְעַתָּ֗ה שָׂ֣א נָ֤א חַטָּאתִי֙ אַ֣ךְ הַפַּ֔עַם וְהַעְתִּ֖ירוּ לַיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם וְיָסֵר֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י רַ֖ק אֶת־הַמָּ֥וֶת הַזֶּֽה׃
προσδέξασθε οὖν μου τὴν ἁμαρτίαν ἔτι νῦν καὶ προσεύξασθε πρὸς κύριον τὸν θεὸν ὑμῶν καὶ περιελέτω ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ τὸν θάνατον τοῦτον
Sed nunc dimittite peccatum mihi etiam hac vice, et rogate Dominum Deum vestrum, ut auferat a me mortem istam.
ተቀበሉ ፡ እንተ ፡ ይእዜኒ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ዐበሳየ ፡ ወጸልዩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ወይሰስል ፡ እምኔየ ፡ ዝሞት ።
Now therefore please forgive my sin again, and pray to Yahweh your God, that he may also take away from me this death.”
10:18
וַיֵּצֵ֖א מֵעִ֣ם פַּרְעֹ֑ה וַיֶּעְתַּ֖ר אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃
ἐξῆλθεν δὲ Μωυσῆς ἀπὸ Φαραω καὶ ηὔξατο πρὸς τὸν θεόν
Egressusque Moyses de conspectu Pharaonis, oravit Dominum.
ወወፅአ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ወጸለየ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Moses went out from Pharaoh, and prayed to Yahweh.
10:19
וַיַּהֲפֹ֨ךְ יְהֹוָ֤ה רֽוּחַ־יָם֙ חָזָ֣ק מְאֹ֔ד וַיִּשָּׂא֙ אֶת־הָ֣אַרְבֶּ֔ה וַיִּתְקָעֵ֖הוּ יָ֣מָּה סּ֑וּף לֹ֤א נִשְׁאַר֙ אַרְבֶּ֣ה אֶחָ֔ד בְּכֹ֖ל גְּב֥וּל מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ μετέβαλεν κύριος ἄνεμον ἀπὸ θαλάσσης σφοδρόν καὶ ἀνέλαβεν τὴν ἀκρίδα καὶ ἐνέβαλεν αὐτὴν εἰς τὴν ἐρυθρὰν θάλασσαν καὶ οὐχ ὑπελείφθη ἀκρὶς μία ἐν πάσῃ γῇ Αἰγύπτου
Qui flare fecit ventum ab occidente vehementissimum, et arreptam locustam projecit in mare Rubrum : non remansit ne una quidem in cunctis finibus Aegypti.
ወሜጠ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ነፋሰ ፡ እምባሕር ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወነሥኦ ፡ ለአንበጣ ፡ ወወሰዶ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባሕረ ፡ [ኤ]ርትራ ፡ ወኢተርፈ ፡ ወኢአሐዱ ፡ አንበጣ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Yahweh sent an exceedingly strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the borders of Egypt.
10:20
וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְלֹ֥א שִׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐσκλήρυνεν κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω καὶ οὐκ ἐξαπέστειλεν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ
Et induravit Dominus cor Pharaonis, nec dimisit filios Israël.
ወአጽንዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልቦ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወኢፈነዎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go.
10:21
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה נְטֵ֤ה יָֽדְךָ֙ עַל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וִ֥יהִי חֹ֖שֶׁךְ עַל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְיָמֵ֖שׁ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἔκτεινον τὴν χεῖρά σου εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν καὶ γενηθήτω σκότος ἐπὶ γῆν Αἰγύπτου ψηλαφητὸν σκότος
Dixit autem Dominus ad Moysen : Extende manum tuam in caelum : et sint tenebrae super terram Aegypti tam densae, ut palpari queant.
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ስፋሕ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወይኩን ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ጽልመ[ት] ፡ ዘያመረስስ ።
Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”
10:22
וַיֵּ֥ט מֹשֶׁ֛ה אֶת־יָד֖וֹ עַל־הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיְהִ֧י חֹֽשֶׁךְ־אֲפֵלָ֛ה בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים׃
ἐξέτεινεν δὲ Μωυσῆς τὴν χεῖρα εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν καὶ ἐγένετο σκότος γνόφος θύελλα ἐπὶ πᾶσαν γῆν Αἰγύπτου τρεῖς ἡμέρας
Extenditque Moyses manum in caelum : et factae sunt tenebrae horribiles in universa terra Aegypti tribus diebus.
ወሰፍሐ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ወቆባር ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ሠሉሰ ፡ ዕለተ ።
Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.
10:23
לֹֽא־רָא֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־אָחִ֗יו וְלֹא־קָ֛מוּ אִ֥ישׁ מִתַּחְתָּ֖יו שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים וּֽלְכׇל־בְּנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הָ֥יָה א֖וֹר בְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָֽם׃
καὶ οὐκ εἶδεν οὐδεὶς τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ τρεῖς ἡμέρας καὶ οὐκ ἐξανέστη οὐδεὶς ἐκ τῆς κοίτης αὐτοῦ τρεῖς ἡμέρας πᾶσι δὲ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἦν φῶς ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς κατεγίνοντο
Nemo vidit fratrem suum, nec movit se de loco in quo erat : ubicumque autem habitabant filii Israël, lux erat.
ወኢርእየ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ካልኦ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘተንሥአ ፡ እምስካቡ ፡ ሠሉሰ ፡ ዕለተ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤልሰ ፡ በርሀ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሀለው ።
They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
10:24
וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְכוּ֙ עִבְד֣וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה רַ֛ק צֹאנְכֶ֥ם וּבְקַרְכֶ֖ם יֻצָּ֑ג גַּֽם־טַפְּכֶ֖ם יֵלֵ֥ךְ עִמָּכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἐκάλεσεν Φαραω Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων βαδίζετε λατρεύσατε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν πλὴν τῶν προβάτων καὶ τῶν βοῶν ὑπολίπεσθε καὶ ἡ ἀποσκευὴ ὑμῶν ἀποτρεχέτω μεθ’ ὑμῶν
Vocavitque Pharao Moysen et Aaron, et dixit eis : Ite, sacrificate Domino : oves tantum vestrae et armenta remaneant, parvuli vestri eant vobiscum.
ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ወለአሮን ፡ ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ሑሩ ፡ ወተፀመዱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ እንበለ ፡ አባግዒክሙ ፡ ወአልህምቲክሙ ፡ ዘተኀድጉ ፡ ወንዋይክሙሰ ፡ ትነሥኡ ፡ ምስሌክሙ ።
Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, “Go, serve Yahweh. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”
10:25
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה גַּם־אַתָּ֛ה תִּתֵּ֥ן בְּיָדֵ֖נוּ זְבָחִ֣ים וְעֹלֹ֑ת וְעָשִׂ֖ינוּ לַיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς ἀλλὰ καὶ σὺ δώσεις ἡμῖν ὁλοκαυτώματα καὶ θυσίας ἃ ποιήσομεν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν
Ait Moyses : Hostias quoque et holocausta dabis nobis, quae offeramus Domino Deo nostro.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ አልቦ ፡ አንተ ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ትሁበነ ፡ ለመሥዋዕት ፡ ዘንገብር ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ።
Moses said, “You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.
10:26
וְגַם־מִקְנֵ֜נוּ יֵלֵ֣ךְ עִמָּ֗נוּ לֹ֤א תִשָּׁאֵר֙ פַּרְסָ֔ה כִּ֚י מִמֶּ֣נּוּ נִקַּ֔ח לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ לֹֽא־נֵדַ֗ע מַֽה־נַּעֲבֹד֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה עַד־בֹּאֵ֖נוּ שָֽׁמָּה׃
καὶ τὰ κτήνη ἡμῶν πορεύσεται μεθ’ ἡμῶν καὶ οὐχ ὑπολειψόμεθα ὁπλήν ἀπ’ αὐτῶν γὰρ λημψόμεθα λατρεῦσαι κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἡμεῖς δὲ οὐκ οἴδαμεν τί λατρεύσωμεν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν ἕως τοῦ ἐλθεῖν ἡμᾶς ἐκεῖ
Cuncti greges pergent nobiscum ; non remanebit ex eis ungula : quae necessaria sunt in cultum Domini Dei nostri : praesertim cum ignoremus quid debeat immolari, donec ad ipsum locum perveniamus.
ወእንስሳነሂ ፡ ይወፅእ ፡ ምስሌነ ፡ ወኢነኅድግ ፡ ወኢምንተ ፡ እስመ ፡ እምኔሁ ፡ ንነሥእ ፡ ለመሥዋዕተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ወንሕነሰ ፡ ኢናአምር ፡ ምንት ፡ ተፅማዱ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ እስከ ፡ ንበጽሖ ፡ ህየ ።
Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.”
10:27
וַיְחַזֵּ֥ק יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־לֵ֣ב פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְלֹ֥א אָבָ֖ה לְשַׁלְּחָֽם׃
ἐσκλήρυνεν δὲ κύριος τὴν καρδίαν Φαραω καὶ οὐκ ἐβουλήθη ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτούς
Induravit autem Dominus cor Pharaonis, et noluit dimittere eos.
ወአጽንዐ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ልቦ ፡ ለፈርዖን ፡ ወአበየ ፡ ፈንዎቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ።
But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.
10:28
וַיֹּֽאמֶר־ל֥וֹ פַרְעֹ֖ה לֵ֣ךְ מֵעָלָ֑י הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֗ אַל־תֹּ֙סֶף֙ רְא֣וֹת פָּנַ֔י כִּ֗י בְּי֛וֹם רְאֹתְךָ֥ פָנַ֖י תָּמֽוּת׃
καὶ λέγει Φαραω ἄπελθε ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ ἔτι προσθεῖναι ἰδεῖν μου τὸ πρόσωπον ᾗ δ’ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ ὀφθῇς μοι ἀποθανῇ
Dixitque Pharao ad Moysen : Recede a me, et cave ne ultra videas faciem meam : quocumque die apparueris mihi, morieris.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ሑር ፡ እምኀቤየ ፡ ወዑቅ ፡ ርእሰከ ፡ ዳግመ ፡ እንከ ፡ እመ ፡ ርኢከ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ ወእምከመ ፡ ርኢኩከ ፡ ዳግመ ፡ ትመውት ።
Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”
10:29
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה כֵּ֣ן דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ לֹא־אֹסִ֥ף ע֖וֹד רְא֥וֹת פָּנֶֽיךָ׃ {פ}
λέγει δὲ Μωυσῆς εἴρηκας οὐκέτι ὀφθήσομαί σοι εἰς πρόσωπον
Respondit Moyses : Ita fiet ut locutus es : non videbo ultra faciem tuam.
ወይቤሉ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ኦሆ ፡ ኢያስተርእየከ ፡ እንከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጽከ ።
Moses said, “You have spoken well. I will see your face again no more.”
