26:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֛י בְּעַשְׁתֵּֽי ־עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ הָיָ֥ה דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ ἔτει μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
Et factum est in undecimo anno , prima mensis : factus est sermo Domini ad me , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሠርቱ ፡ ወአሐዱ ፡ ዓመት ፣፡ በሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ ነበበኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወይቤለኒ ።
In the eleventh year, in the first of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
26:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ בֶּן ־אָדָ֗ם יַ֠עַן אֲשֶׁר ־אָ֨מְרָה צֹּ֤ר עַל ־יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ הֶאָ֔ח נִשְׁבְּרָ֛ה דַּלְת֥וֹת הָעַמִּ֖ים נָסֵ֣בָּה אֵלָ֑י אִמָּלְאָ֖ה הׇחֳרָֽבָה ׃
υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου ἀνθ’ ὧν εἶπεν Σορ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ εὖγε συνετρίβη ἀπόλωλεν τὰ ἔθνη ἐπεστράφη πρός με ἡ πλήρης ἠρήμωται
Fili hominis , pro eo quod dixit Tyrus de Jerusalem : Euge , confractae sunt portae populorum , conversa est ad me : implebor ; deserta est :
ወልደ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፣፡ እስመ ፡ ትቤ ፡ ሶር ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ እንቋዕ ፡ ተቀጥቀጠት ፡ ወተሐጕለት ፣፡ ወአሕዛቢሃኒ ፡ ገብኡ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወኀልቀት ፡ ምልእት ።
“Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, ‘Aha! She is broken! She who was the gateway of the peoples has been returned to me. I will be replenished, now that she is laid waste;’
26:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י עָלַ֖יִךְ צֹ֑ר וְהַעֲלֵיתִ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ גּוֹיִ֣ם רַבִּ֔ים כְּהַעֲל֥וֹת הַיָּ֖ם לְגַלָּֽיו ׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σέ Σορ καὶ ἀνάξω ἐπὶ σὲ ἔθνη πολλά ὡς ἀναβαίνει ἡ θάλασσα τοῖς κύμασιν αὐτῆς
propterea haec dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego super te , Tyre , et ascendere faciam ad te gentes multas , sicut ascendit mare fluctuans .
በበይነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ሶር ፣፡ ወአመጽእ ፡ ዲቤኪ ፡ ብዙኃነ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ከመ ፡ ታዐርግ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ማዕበላ ።
therefore the Lord Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I am against you, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.
26:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשִׁחֲת֞וּ חֹמ֣וֹת צֹ֗ר וְהָֽרְסוּ֙ מִגְדָּלֶ֔יהָ וְסִחֵיתִ֥י עֲפָרָ֖הּ מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְנָתַתִּ֥י אוֹתָ֖הּ לִצְחִ֥יחַ סָֽלַע ׃
καὶ καταβαλοῦσιν τὰ τείχη Σορ καὶ καταβαλοῦσι τοὺς πύργους σου καὶ λικμήσω τὸν χοῦν αὐτῆς ἀπ’ αὐτῆς καὶ δώσω αὐτὴν εἰς λεωπετρίαν
Et dissipabunt muros Tyri , et destruent turres ejus : et radam pulverem ejus de ea , et dabo eam in limpidissimam petram .
ወያንኅሉ ፡ አረፋቲሃ ፡ ለሶር ፡ ወይነሥቱ ፡ ማኅፈደኪ ፡ ወአኀልቆ ፡ ለመሬትኪ ፡ እምኔኪ ፡ ወእሬስያ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኰኵሕ ፡ ልሙፅ ።
They will destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers. I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.
26:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִשְׁטַ֨ח חֲרָמִ֤ים תִּֽהְיֶה֙ בְּת֣וֹךְ הַיָּ֔ם כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י דִבַּ֔רְתִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה וְהָיְתָ֥ה לְבַ֖ז לַגּוֹיִֽם ׃
ψυγμὸς σαγηνῶν ἔσται ἐν μέσῳ θαλάσσης ὅτι ἐγὼ λελάληκα λέγει κύριος καὶ ἔσται εἰς προνομὴν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν
Siccatio sagenarum erit in medio maris , quia ego locutus sum , ait Dominus Deus : et erit in direptionem gentibus .
ወይረብቡ ፡ መሣግሪሆሙ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ባሕር ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ነበብኩ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እግዚእ ። ወትከውን ፡ በርበረ ፡ ለአሕዛብ ።
She will be a place for the spreading of nets in the middle of the sea; for I have spoken it,’ says the Lord Yahweh. ‘She will become plunder for the nations.
26:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּבְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה בַּחֶ֖רֶב תֵּהָרַ֑גְנָה וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי ־אֲנִ֥י יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῆς αἱ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ μαχαίρᾳ ἀναιρεθήσονται καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγὼ κύριος
Filiae quoque ejus quae sunt in agro , gladio interficientur : et scient quia ego Dominus .
ወይቀትልዎን ፡ በኲናት ፡ ለአዋልዲሃ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፣፡ ወየአምሩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Her daughters who are in the field will be slain with the sword. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’
26:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִ֧י מֵבִ֣יא אֶל ־צֹ֗ר נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֧ר מֶלֶךְ ־בָּבֶ֛ל מִצָּפ֖וֹן מֶ֣לֶךְ מְלָכִ֑ים בְּס֛וּס וּבְרֶ֥כֶב וּבְפָרָשִׁ֖ים וְקָהָ֥ל וְעַם ־רָֽב ׃
ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ σέ Σορ τὸν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος ἀπὸ τοῦ βορρᾶ βασιλεὺς βασιλέων ἐστίν μεθ’ ἵππων καὶ ἁρμάτων καὶ ἱππέων καὶ συναγωγῆς ἐθνῶν πολλῶν σφόδρα
Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego adducam ad Tyrum Nabuchodonosor regem Babylonis ab aquilone , regem regum , cum equis , et curribus , et equitibus , et coetu , populoque magno .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አመጽእ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ሶር ፡ ናቡከደነፆርሃ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ባቢሎን ፡ እመንገለ ፡ ደቡብ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ አፍራስ ፡ ወሠረገላት ፡ ወመስተፅዕናን ፡ ወተዓይነ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ብዙኃን ፡ ፈድፋደ ።
“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will bring on Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, from the north, with horses, with chariots, with horsemen, and an army with many people.
26:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּנוֹתַ֥יִךְ בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה בַּחֶ֣רֶב יַהֲרֹ֑ג וְנָתַ֨ן עָלַ֜יִךְ דָּיֵ֗ק וְשָׁפַ֤ךְ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ סֹֽלְלָ֔ה וְהֵקִ֥ים עָלַ֖יִךְ צִנָּֽה ׃
οὗτος τὰς θυγατέρας σου τὰς ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ μαχαίρᾳ ἀνελεῖ καὶ δώσει ἐπὶ σὲ προφυλακὴν καὶ περιοικοδομήσει καὶ ποιήσει ἐπὶ σὲ κύκλῳ χάρακα καὶ περίστασιν ὅπλων καὶ τὰς λόγχας αὐτοῦ ἀπέναντί σου δώσει
Filias tuas quae sunt in agro , gladio interficiet , et circumdabit te munitionibus , et comportabit aggerem in gyro , et elevabit contra te clypeum :
ወውእቱ ፡ ይቀትሎን ፡ ለአዋልድኪ ፡ እለ ፡ ሐቅል ፡ በኲናት ፡ ወያነብር ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ መዓቅበ ፡ ወየሐፅረኪ ፣፡ ወየሐንጽ ፡ ጥቅመ ፡ ዐውድኪ ፡ ወየዐግቱኪ ፡ በንዋየ ፡ ሐቅል ፡ ወይደረቢ ፡ በኰያንዊሁ ።
He will kill your daughters in the field with the sword. He will make forts against you, cast up a mound against you, and raise up the buckler against you.
26:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמְחִ֣י קׇֽבׇלּ֔וֹ יִתֵּ֖ן בְּחֹמוֹתָ֑יִךְ וּמִ֨גְדְּלֹתַ֔יִךְ יִתֹּ֖ץ בְּחַרְבוֹתָֽיו ׃
τὰ τείχη σου καὶ τοὺς πύργους σου καταβαλεῖ ἐν ταῖς μαχαίραις αὐτοῦ
et vineas et arietes temperabit in muros tuos , et turres tuas destruet in armatura sua .
አረፍተኪ ፡ ወማሕፈደኪ ፡ ያንኅል ፡ በመጣብሒሁ ።
He will set his battering engines against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers.
26:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִשִּׁפְעַ֥ת סוּסָ֖יו יְכַסֵּ֣ךְ אֲבָקָ֑ם מִקּוֹל֩ פָּרַ֨שׁ וְגַלְגַּ֜ל וָרֶ֗כֶב תִּרְעַ֙שְׁנָה֙ חוֹמוֹתַ֔יִךְ בְּבֹאוֹ֙ בִּשְׁעָרַ֔יִךְ כִּמְבוֹאֵ֖י עִ֥יר מְבֻקָּעָֽה ׃
ἀπὸ τοῦ πλήθους τῶν ἵππων αὐτοῦ κατακαλύψει σε ὁ κονιορτὸς αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς τῶν ἱππέων αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν τροχῶν τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτοῦ σεισθήσεται τὰ τείχη σου εἰσπορευομένου αὐτοῦ τὰς πύλας σου ὡς εἰσπορευόμενος εἰς πόλιν ἐκ πεδίου
Inundatione equorum ejus operiet te pulvis eorum : a sonitu equitum , et rotarum , et curruum , movebuntur muri tui , cum ingressus fuerit portas tuas quasi per introitum urbis dissipatae .
ወይደፍነኪ ፡ ጸበል ፡ እምብዝኀ ፡ አፍራሲሁ ፣፡ ወእምድምፀ ፡ አፍራሲሁ ፡ ወመንኰራኵረ ፡ ሠረገላቲሁ ፡ ያንቀለቅል ፡ አረፋትኪ ፡ ወይበውኦን ፡ ለአናቅጽኪ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘይበውእ ፡ አዕጻደ ፡ ሐቅል ፡ በንዋየ ፡ ሐቅሉ ።
By reason of the abundance of his horses, their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen, of the wagons, and of the chariots, when he enters into your gates, as men enter into a city which is broken open.
26:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּפַרְס֣וֹת סוּסָ֔יו יִרְמֹ֖ס אֶת ־כׇּל ־חוּצוֹתָ֑יִךְ עַמֵּךְ֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יַהֲרֹ֔ג וּמַצְּב֥וֹת עֻזֵּ֖ךְ לָאָ֥רֶץ תֵּרֵֽד ׃
ἐν ταῖς ὁπλαῖς τῶν ἵππων αὐτοῦ καταπατήσουσίν σου πάσας τὰς πλατείας τὸν λαόν σου μαχαίρᾳ ἀνελεῖ καὶ τὴν ὑπόστασίν σου τῆς ἰσχύος ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν κατάξει
Ungulis equorum suorum conculcabit omnes plateas tuas : populum tuum gladio caedet , et statuae tuae nobiles in terram corruent .
ወያከይድ ፡ አፍራሲሁ ፡ መርሕበኪ ፡ ወይቀትሎሙ ፡ ለአሕዛብኪ ፡ በመጥባሕት ፡ ወይነፅኆ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ለጽንዐ ፡ ኃይልኪ ።
He will tread down all your streets with the hoofs of his horses. He will kill your people with the sword. The pillars of your strength will go down to the ground.
26:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁלְל֣וּ חֵילֵ֗ךְ וּבָֽזְזוּ֙ רְכֻלָּתֵ֔ךְ וְהָֽרְסוּ֙ חוֹמוֹתַ֔יִךְ וּבָתֵּ֥י חֶמְדָּתֵ֖ךְ יִתֹּ֑צוּ וַאֲבָנַ֤יִךְ וְעֵצַ֙יִךְ֙ וַעֲפָרֵ֔ךְ בְּת֥וֹךְ מַ֖יִם יָשִֽׂימוּ ׃
καὶ προνομεύσει τὴν δύναμίν σου καὶ σκυλεύσει τὰ ὑπάρχοντά σου καὶ καταβαλεῖ σου τὰ τείχη καὶ τοὺς οἴκους σου τοὺς ἐπιθυμητοὺς καθελεῖ καὶ τοὺς λίθους σου καὶ τὰ ξύλα σου καὶ τὸν χοῦν σου εἰς μέσον τῆς θαλάσσης ἐμβαλεῖ
Vastabunt opes tuas , diripient negotiationes tuas , et destruent muros tuos , et domos tuas praeclaras subvertent : et lapides tuos , et ligna tua , et pulverem tuum in medio aquarum ponent .
ወይበረብሩኪ ፡ ንዋየኪ ፡ ወይመሀርኩ ፡ መራዕየኪ ፡ ወያንኅሉ ፡ አረፋተኪ ፡ ወይነሥቱ ፡ አብያተኪ ፡ መፍትወ ። ወእብነኪ ፡ ወዕፀወኪ ፡ ወመሬተኪ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቀላየ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ይዌርዉ ።
They will make a plunder of your riches and make a prey of your merchandise. They will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses. They will lay your stones, your timber, and your dust in the middle of the waters.
26:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֖י הֲמ֣וֹן שִׁירָ֑יִךְ וְק֣וֹל כִּנּוֹרַ֔יִךְ לֹ֥א יִשָּׁמַ֖ע עֽוֹד ׃
καὶ καταλύσει τὸ πλῆθος τῶν μουσικῶν σου καὶ ἡ φωνὴ τῶν ψαλτηρίων σου οὐ μὴ ἀκουσθῇ ἔτι
Et quiescere faciam multitudinem canticorum tuorum : et sonitus cithararum tuarum non audietur amplius .
ወይሥዕር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዕንዚራተኪ ፡ ወኢይሰማዕ ፡ እንከ ፡ ድምፀ ፡ ማኅሌትኪ ።
I will cause the noise of your songs to cease. The sound of your harps won’t be heard any more.
26:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּנְתַתִּ֞יךְ לִצְחִ֣יחַ סֶ֗לַע מִשְׁטַ֤ח חֲרָמִים֙ תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה לֹ֥א תִבָּנֶ֖ה ע֑וֹד כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ δώσω σε εἰς λεωπετρίαν ψυγμὸς σαγηνῶν ἔσῃ οὐ μὴ οἰκοδομηθῇς ἔτι ὅτι ἐγὼ ἐλάλησα λέγει κύριος
Et dabo te in limpidissimam petram , siccatio sagenarum eris , nec aedificaberis ultra , quia ego locutus sum , ait Dominus Deus .
ወእሬስየኪ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኰኵሕ ፡ ንጹሕ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ይረብቡ ፡ መሣግረ ፡ ትከውኒ ፡ ወኢትትሐነጺ ፡ እንከ ፣፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ነበብኩ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አዶናይ ።
I will make you a bare rock. You will be a place for the spreading of nets. You will be built no more; for I Yahweh have spoken it,’ says the Lord Yahweh.
26:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה לְצ֑וֹר הֲלֹ֣א ׀ מִקּ֣וֹל מַפַּלְתֵּ֗ךְ בֶּאֱנֹ֨ק חָלָ֜ל בֵּהָ֤רֵֽג הֶ֙רֶג֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֔ךְ יִרְעֲשׁ֖וּ הָאִיִּֽים ׃
διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος τῇ Σορ οὐκ ἀπὸ φωνῆς τῆς πτώσεώς σου ἐν τῷ στενάξαι τραυματίας ἐν τῷ σπάσαι μάχαιραν ἐν μέσῳ σου σεισθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι
Haec dicit Dominus Deus Tyro : Numquid non a sonitu ruinae tuae , et gemitu interfectorum tuorum , cum occisi fuerint in medio tui , commovebuntur insulae ?
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በእንተ ፡ ሶር ፡ አኮኑ ፡ እምድምፀ ፡ ድቀትኪ ፡ ተመንደቡ ፡ ቅቱላንኪ ፣፡ አመ ፡ መልሐ ፡ መጥባሕቶ ፡ በማእከሌኪ ፡ አድቅለቃ ፡ ደሰያት ።
“The Lord Yahweh says to Tyre: ‘Won’t the islands shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is made within you?
26:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְֽיָרְד֞וּ מֵעַ֣ל כִּסְאוֹתָ֗ם כֹּ֚ל נְשִׂיאֵ֣י הַיָּ֔ם וְהֵסִ֙ירוּ֙ אֶת ־מְעִ֣ילֵיהֶ֔ם וְאֶת ־בִּגְדֵ֥י רִקְמָתָ֖ם יִפְשֹׁ֑טוּ חֲרָד֤וֹת ׀יִלְבָּ֙שׁוּ֙ עַל ־הָאָ֣רֶץ יֵשֵׁ֔בוּ וְחָֽרְדוּ֙ לִרְגָעִ֔ים וְשָׁמְמ֖וּ עָלָֽיִךְ ׃
καὶ καταβήσονται ἀπὸ τῶν θρόνων αὐτῶν πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες ἐκ τῶν ἐθνῶν τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ ἀφελοῦνται τὰς μίτρας ἀπὸ τῶν κεφαλῶν αὐτῶν καὶ τὸν ἱματισμὸν τὸν ποικίλον αὐτῶν ἐκδύσονται ἐκστάσει ἐκστήσονται ἐπὶ γῆν καθεδοῦνται καὶ φοβηθήσονται τὴν ἀπώλειαν αὐτῶν καὶ στενάξουσιν ἐπὶ σέ
Et descendent de sedibus suis omnes principes maris , et auferent exuvias suas , et vestimenta sua varia abjicient , et induentur stupore : in terra sedebunt , et attoniti super repentino casu tuo admirabuntur :
ወይወርዱ ፡ እመናብርቲሆሙ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ መላእክተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወያአትቱ ፡ ጌራቲሆሙ ፡ እምርእሶሙ ፡ ወይሰልቡ ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ዐስቆሙ ። ወድንጋፄ ፡ ይደንግፁ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወይትሐዘቡ ፡ ሞቶሙ ፡ ወይበክዩኪ ።
Then all the princes of the sea will come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling. They will sit on the ground, and will tremble every moment, and be astonished at you.
26:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָשְׂא֨וּ עָלַ֤יִךְ קִינָה֙ וְאָ֣מְרוּ לָ֔ךְ אֵ֣יךְ אָבַ֔דְתְּ נוֹשֶׁ֖בֶת מִיַּמִּ֑ים הָעִ֣יר הַהֻלָּ֗לָה אֲשֶׁר֩ הָיְתָ֨ה חֲזָקָ֤ה בַיָּם֙ הִ֣יא וְיֹשְׁבֶ֔יהָ אֲשֶׁר ־נָתְנ֥וּ חִתִּיתָ֖ם לְכׇל ־יוֹשְׁבֶֽיהָ ׃
καὶ λήμψονται ἐπὶ σὲ θρῆνον καὶ ἐροῦσίν σοι πῶς κατελύθης ἐκ θαλάσσης ἡ πόλις ἡ ἐπαινεστὴ ἡ δοῦσα τὸν φόβον αὐτῆς πᾶσι τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν αὐτήν
et assumentes super te lamentum , dicent tibi : Quomodo peristi , quae habitas in mari , urbs inclyta , quae fuisti fortis in mari cum habitatoribus tuis , quos formidabant universi ?
ወያስቆቅዉኪ ፡ ወይብሉኪ ፡ እፎ ፡ ጠፍአት ፡ ወተሥዕረት ፡ እምባሕር ፡ ሀገር ፡ ክብርት ፣፡ እንተ ፡ ኮነት ፡ ጽንዕተ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወእለሂ ፡ ይነብርዋ ፡ እንተ ፡ አፍርሀት ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሰብአ ።
They will take up a lamentation over you, and tell you, “How you are destroyed, who were inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, who was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all who lived there!”
26:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַתָּה֙ יֶחְרְד֣וּ הָאִיִּ֔ן י֖וֹם מַפַּלְתֵּ֑ךְ וְנִבְהֲל֛וּ הָאִיִּ֥ים אֲשֶׁר ־בַּיָּ֖ם מִצֵּאתֵֽךְ ׃ {ס}
καὶ φοβηθήσονται αἱ νῆσοι ἀφ’ ἡμέρας πτώσεώς σου
Nunc stupebunt naves in die pavoris tui , et turbabuntur insulae in mari , eo quod nullus egrediatur ex te .
ወይፈርሁ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ እምአመ ፡ ወደቂ ፡ ወይደነግፃ ፡ ደሰያት ፡ እምነ ፡ ፀአትኪ ።
Now the islands will tremble in the day of your fall. Yes, the islands that are in the sea will be dismayed at your departure.’
26:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה בְּתִתִּ֤י אֹתָךְ֙ עִ֣יר נֶחֱרֶ֔בֶת כֶּעָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא ־נוֹשָׁ֑בוּ בְּהַעֲל֤וֹת עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ אֶת ־תְּה֔וֹם וְכִסּ֖וּךְ הַמַּ֥יִם הָרַבִּֽים ׃
ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ὅταν δῶ σε πόλιν ἠρημωμένην ὡς τὰς πόλεις τὰς μὴ κατοικηθησομένας ἐν τῷ ἀναγαγεῖν με ἐπὶ σὲ τὴν ἄβυσσον καὶ κατακαλύψῃ σε ὕδωρ πολύ
Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus : Cum dedero te urbem desolatam , sicut civitates quae non habitantur ; et adduxero super te abyssum , et operuerint te aquae multae ;
እስመ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አመ ፡ ኮንኪ ፡ ሀገረ ፡ መዝበረ ፡ ከመ ፡ አህጉር ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ዘይነብሮን ፣፡ አመ ፡ አምጻእኩ ፡ ዲቤኪ ፡ ቀላየ ፡ ወይደፍነኪ ፡ ማይ ፡ ብዙኅ ።
“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep on you, and the great waters cover you,
26:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהוֹרַדְתִּיךְ֩ אֶת ־י֨וֹרְדֵי ב֜וֹר אֶל ־עַ֣ם עוֹלָ֗ם וְ֠הוֹשַׁבְתִּ֠יךְ בְּאֶ֨רֶץ תַּחְתִּיּ֜וֹת כׇּחֳרָב֤וֹת מֵעוֹלָם֙ אֶת ־י֣וֹרְדֵי ב֔וֹר לְמַ֖עַן לֹ֣א תֵשֵׁ֑בִי וְנָתַתִּ֥י צְבִ֖י בְּאֶ֥רֶץ חַיִּֽים ׃
καὶ καταβιβάσω σε πρὸς τοὺς καταβαίνοντας εἰς βόθρον πρὸς λαὸν αἰῶνος καὶ κατοικιῶ σε εἰς βάθη τῆς γῆς ὡς ἔρημον αἰώνιον μετὰ καταβαινόντων εἰς βόθρον ὅπως μὴ κατοικηθῇς μηδὲ ἀνασταθῇς ἐπὶ γῆς ζωῆς
et detraxero te cum his qui descendunt in lacum ad populum sempiternum ; et collocavero te in terra novissima sicut solitudines veteres , cum his qui deducuntur in lacum , ut non habiteris ; porro cum dedero gloriam in terra viventium :
ወአገብአኪ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐዘቅት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ ወአነብረኪ ፡ ታሕተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ከመ ፡ መዝብር ፡ እምዓለም ፡ ምስለ ፡ እለ ፡ ይወርዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትንበሪ ፡ ወኢትቁሚ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ሕይወትኪ ።
then I will bring you down with those who descend into the pit, to the people of old time, and will make you dwell in the lower parts of the earth, in the places that are desolate of old, with those who go down to the pit, that you be not inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living.
26:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּלָּה֥וֹת אֶתְּנֵ֖ךְ וְאֵינֵ֑ךְ וּֽתְבֻקְשִׁ֗י וְלֹא ־תִמָּֽצְאִ֥י עוֹד֙ לְעוֹלָ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה ׃ {פ}
ἀπώλειάν σε δώσω καὶ οὐχ ὑπάρξεις ἔτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα λέγει κύριος κύριος
in nihilum redigam te , et non eris : et requisita non invenieris ultra in sempiternum , dicit Dominus Deus .
ወእሁበኪ ፡ ለሞት ፡ ወኢትሄልዊ ፡ እንከ ፡ ወየኀሥሡኪ ፡ ወኢይረክቡኪ ፡ እንከ ፡ ለዓለም ፡ ይቤ ፡ አዶናይ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
I will make you a terror, and you will no more have any being. Though you are sought for, yet you will never be found again,’ says the Lord Yahweh.”
