5:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֶ֣ה סֵ֔פֶר* (בספרי תימן סֵ֔פֶר בסמ״ך גדולה ) תּוֹלְדֹ֖ת אָדָ֑ם בְּי֗וֹם בְּרֹ֤א אֱלֹהִים֙ אָדָ֔ם בִּדְמ֥וּת אֱלֹהִ֖ים עָשָׂ֥ה אֹתֽוֹ ׃
αὕτη ἡ βίβλος γενέσεως ἀνθρώπων ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν Αδαμ κατ’ εἰκόνα θεοῦ ἐποίησεν αὐτόν
Hic est liber generationis Adam . In die qua creavit Deus hominem , ad similitudinem Dei fecit illum .
ወዛቲ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ዝክረ ፡ ሙላዱ ፡ ለአዳም ፡ በዕለት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ፈጠሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወገብሮ ፡ ለአዳም ፡ (በአርአያሁ ፡ ወ )በአምሳሊሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness.
5:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ זָכָ֥ר וּנְקֵבָ֖ה בְּרָאָ֑ם וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ אֹתָ֗ם וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֶת ־שְׁמָם֙ אָדָ֔ם בְּי֖וֹם הִבָּֽרְאָֽם ׃
ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ ἐποίησεν αὐτοὺς καὶ εὐλόγησεν αὐτούς καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν Αδαμ ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐποίησεν αὐτούς
Masculum et feminam creavit eos , et benedixit illis : et vocavit nomen eorum Adam , in die quo creati sunt .
ወፈጠሮሙ ፡ ተባዕተ ፡ ወአንስተ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ ባረከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ወሰመዮሙ ፡ አዳም ፡ (ወሔዋን ፡) በዕለት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ፈጠሮሙ ።
He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them Adam.
5:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י אָדָ֗ם שְׁלֹשִׁ֤ים וּמְאַת֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בִּדְמוּת֖וֹ כְּצַלְמ֑וֹ וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת ־שְׁמ֖וֹ שֵֽׁת ׃
ἔζησεν δὲ Αδαμ διακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν κατὰ τὴν ἰδέαν αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὴν εἰκόνα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σηθ
Vixit autem Adam centum triginta annis : et genuit ad imaginem et similitudinem suam , vocavitque nomen ejus Seth .
ወሐይወ ፡ አዳም ፡ ፪፻ወ፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ራእዩ ፡ ወአምሳሉ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ወሰመዮ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ሴት ።
Adam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.
5:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְי֣וּ יְמֵי ־אָדָ֗ם אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־שֵׁ֔ת שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵאֹ֖ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
ἐγένοντο δὲ αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σηθ ἑπτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et facti sunt dies Adam , postquam genuit Seth , octingenti anni : genuitque filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ አዳም ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሴት ፡ ፯፻ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
The days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְי֞וּ כׇּל ־יְמֵ֤י אָדָם֙ אֲשֶׁר ־חַ֔י תְּשַׁ֤ע מֵאוֹת֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Αδαμ ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et factum est omne tempus quod vixit Adam , anni nongenti triginta , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለአዳም ፡ ፱፻ወ፴ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All the days that Adam lived were nine hundred thirty years, then he died.
5:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־שֵׁ֕ת חָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־אֱנֽוֹשׁ ׃
ἔζησεν δὲ Σηθ διακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενως
Vixit quoque Seth centum quinque annis , et genuit Enos .
ወሐይወ ፡ ሴት ፡ ፪፻ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለሄኖስ ።
Seth lived one hundred five years, then became the father of Enosh.
5:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־שֵׁ֗ת אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־אֱנ֔וֹשׁ שֶׁ֣בַע שָׁנִ֔ים וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Σηθ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενως ἑπτακόσια καὶ ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Vixitque Seth , postquam genuit Enos , octingentis septem annis , genuitque filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ሴት ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሄኖስ ፡ ፯፻ወ፯ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Seth lived after he became the father of Enosh eight hundred seven years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵי ־שֵׁ֔ת שְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּתְשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Σηθ ἐννακόσια καὶ δώδεκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Seth nongentorum duodecim annorum , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለሴት ፡ ፱፻፲ወ፪ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All of the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died.
5:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֥י אֱנ֖וֹשׁ תִּשְׁעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־קֵינָֽן ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως ἑκατὸν ἐνενήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν
Vixit vero Enos nonaginta annis , et genuit Cainan .
ወሐይወ ፡ ሄኖስ ፡ ፻ወ፺ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለቃይናን ።
Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan.
5:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י אֱנ֗וֹשׁ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־קֵינָ֔ן חֲמֵ֤שׁ עֶשְׂרֵה֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ενως μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἑπτακόσια καὶ δέκα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Post cujus ortum vixit octingentis quindecim annis , et genuit filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ሄኖስ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለቃይናን ፡ ፯፻፲ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Enosh lived after he became the father of Kenan eight hundred fifteen years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵ֣י אֱנ֔וֹשׁ חָמֵ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וּתְשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενως ἐννακόσια καὶ πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Factique sunt omnes dies Enos nongenti quinque anni , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለሄኖስ ፡ ፱፻ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All of the days of Enosh were nine hundred five years, then he died.
5:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֥י קֵינָ֖ן שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־מַֽהֲלַלְאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαλελεηλ
Vixit quoque Cainan septuaginta annis , et genuit Malaleel .
ወሐይወ ፡ ቃይናን ፡ ፻ወ፸ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለመላልኤል ።
Kenan lived seventy years, then became the father of Mahalalel.
5:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י קֵינָ֗ן אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־מַֽהֲלַלְאֵ֔ל אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαλελεηλ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et vixit Cainan , postquam genuit Malaleel , octingentis quadraginta annis , genuitque filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ቃይናን ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለመላልኤል ፡ ፯፻ወ፵ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel eight hundred forty years, and became the father of other sons and daughters
5:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵ֣י קֵינָ֔ן עֶ֣שֶׂר שָׁנִ֔ים וּתְשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Καιναν ἐννακόσια καὶ δέκα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Cainan nongenti decem anni , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለቃይናን ፡ ፱፻ወ፲ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
and all of the days of Kenan were nine hundred ten years, then he died.
5:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י מַֽהֲלַלְאֵ֔ל חָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים וְשִׁשִּׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־יָֽרֶד ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ιαρεδ
Vixit autem Malaleel sexaginta quinque annis , et genuit Jared .
ወሐይወ ፡ መላልኤል ፡ ፻፷ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለያሬድ ።
Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Jared.
5:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י מַֽהֲלַלְאֵ֗ל אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־יֶ֔רֶד שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Μαλελεηλ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ιαρεδ ἑπτακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et vixit Malaleel , postquam genuit Jared , octingentis triginta annis , et genuit filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ መላልኤል ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለያሬድ ፡ ፯፻ወ፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared eight hundred thirty years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵ֣י מַהֲלַלְאֵ֔ל חָמֵ֤שׁ וְתִשְׁעִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαλελεηλ ὀκτακόσια καὶ ἐνενήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Malaleel octingenti nonaginta quinque anni , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለመላልኤል ፡ ፷፻፺ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All of the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years, then he died.
5:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־יֶ֕רֶד שְׁתַּ֧יִם וְשִׁשִּׁ֛ים שָׁנָ֖ה וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־חֲנֽוֹךְ ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ενωχ
Vixitque Jared centum sexaginta duobus annis , et genuit Henoch .
ወሐይወ ፡ ያሬድ ፡ ፻፷ወ፪ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለሄኖክ ።
Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years, then became the father of Enoch.
5:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־יֶ֗רֶד אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־חֲנ֔וֹךְ שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ιαρεδ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ενωχ ὀκτακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et vixit Jared , postquam genuit Henoch , octingentis annis , et genuit filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ያሬድ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሄኖክ ፡ ፰፻ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵי ־יֶ֔רֶד שְׁתַּ֤יִם וְשִׁשִּׁים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּתְשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ιαρεδ ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Jared nongenti sexaginta duo anni , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለያሬድ ፡ ፱፻፷ወ፪ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።

5:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י חֲנ֔וֹךְ חָמֵ֥שׁ וְשִׁשִּׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־מְתוּשָֽׁלַח ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ενωχ ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Μαθουσαλα
Porro Henoch vixit sexaginta quinque annis , et genuit Mathusalam .
ወሐይወ ፡ ሄኖክ ፡ ፻፷ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለማቱሰላ ።
Enoch lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Methuselah.
5:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּתְהַלֵּ֨ךְ חֲנ֜וֹךְ אֶת ־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־מְתוּשֶׁ֔לַח שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
εὐηρέστησεν δὲ Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Μαθουσαλα διακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et ambulavit Henoch cum Deo : et vixit , postquam genuit Mathusalam , trecentis annis , et genuit filios et filias .
[ወአሥመሮ ፡ ሄኖክ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡] ወሐይወ ፡ ኄኖክ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለማቱሰላ ፡ ፪፻ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
After Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
5:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֖י כׇּל ־יְמֵ֣י חֲנ֑וֹךְ חָמֵ֤שׁ וְשִׁשִּׁים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Ενωχ τριακόσια ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη
Et facti sunt omnes dies Henoch trecenti sexaginta quinque anni .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለሄኖክ ፡ ፫፻፷ወ፭ዓመተ ።
All the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
5:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ חֲנ֖וֹךְ אֶת ־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְאֵינֶ֕נּוּ כִּֽי ־לָקַ֥ח אֹת֖וֹ אֱלֹהִֽים ׃ {ס}
καὶ εὐηρέστησεν Ενωχ τῷ θεῷ καὶ οὐχ ηὑρίσκετο ὅτι μετέθηκεν αὐτὸν ὁ θεός
Ambulavitque cum Deo , et non apparuit : quia tulit eum Deus .
ወአሥመሮ ፡ ሄኖክ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወፈለሰ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ከበቶ ፡ (ውስተ ፡ ገነት ) ።
Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.
5:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י מְתוּשֶׁ֔לַח שֶׁ֧בַע וּשְׁמֹנִ֛ים שָׁנָ֖ה וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת ־לָֽמֶךְ ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα ἑκατὸν καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λαμεχ
Vixit quoque Mathusala centum octoginta septem annis , et genuit Lamech .
ወሐይወ ፡ ማቱሰላ ፡ ፻፹ወ፯ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለለሜክ ።
Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, then became the father of Lamech.
5:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְחִ֣י מְתוּשֶׁ֗לַח אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־לֶ֔מֶךְ שְׁתַּ֤יִם וּשְׁמוֹנִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Μαθουσαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Λαμεχ ὀκτακόσια δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Et vixit Mathusala , postquam genuit Lamech , septingentis octoginta duobus annis , et genuit filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ማቱሰላ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለለሜክ ፡ ፯፻፹ወ፪ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።
Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
5:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּהְיוּ֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵ֣י מְתוּשֶׁ֔לַח תֵּ֤שַׁע וְשִׁשִּׁים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּתְשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Μαθουσαλα ἃς ἔζησεν ἐννακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα ἐννέα ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Mathusala nongenti sexaginta novem anni , et mortuus est .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለማቱሰላ ፡ ፱፻፷ወ፱ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.
5:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־לֶ֕מֶךְ שְׁתַּ֧יִם וּשְׁמֹנִ֛ים שָׁנָ֖ה וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד בֵּֽן ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱὸν
Vixit autem Lamech centum octoginta duobus annis , et genuit filium :
ወሐይወ ፡ ለሜክ ፡ ፻፹ወ፪ዓመተ ፡ ወተወልደ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልድ ።
Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years, then became the father of a son.
5:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּקְרָ֧א אֶת ־שְׁמ֛וֹ נֹ֖חַ לֵאמֹ֑ר זֶ֞֠ה יְנַחֲמֵ֤נוּ מִֽמַּעֲשֵׂ֙נוּ֙ וּמֵעִצְּב֣וֹן יָדֵ֔ינוּ מִן ־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽרְרָ֖הּ יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ἐπωνόμασεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Νωε λέγων οὗτος διαναπαύσει ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν λυπῶν τῶν χειρῶν ἡμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἧς κατηράσατο κύριος ὁ θεός
vocavitque nomen ejus Noë , dicens : Iste consolabitur nos ab operibus et laboribus manuum nostrarum in terra , cui maledixit Dominus .
ወሰመዮ ፡ ስሞ ፡ ኖኅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይቤ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ይናዝዘኒ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምግባርየ ፡ ወእምጻማ ፡ እደውየ ፡ ወእምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ረገማ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
He named him Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which Yahweh has cursed.”
5:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְחִי ־לֶ֗מֶךְ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת ־נֹ֔חַ חָמֵ֤שׁ וְתִשְׁעִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וַחֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵאֹ֖ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Λαμεχ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Νωε πεντακόσια καὶ ἑξήκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας
Vixitque Lamech , postquam genuit Noë , quingentis nonaginta quinque annis , et genuit filios et filias .
ወሐይወ ፡ ለሜክ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለኖኅ ፡ ፭፻፺ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ።

5:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ כׇּל ־יְמֵי ־לֶ֔מֶךְ שֶׁ֤בַע וְשִׁבְעִים֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וּשְׁבַ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγένοντο πᾶσαι αἱ ἡμέραι Λαμεχ ἑπτακόσια καὶ πεντήκοντα τρία ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et facti sunt omnes dies Lamech septingenti septuaginta septem anni , et mortuus est . Noë vero cum quingentorum esset annorum , genuit Sem , Cham et Japheth .
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለለሜክ ፡ ፯፻ወ፯ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ።
All the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, then he died.
5:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי ־נֹ֕חַ בֶּן ־חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֣וֹלֶד נֹ֔חַ אֶת ־שֵׁ֖ם אֶת ־חָ֥ם וְאֶת ־יָֽפֶת ׃
καὶ ἦν Νωε ἐτῶν πεντακοσίων καὶ ἐγέννησεν Νωε τρεῖς υἱούς τὸν Σημ τὸν Χαμ τὸν Ιαφεθ
— ወኮኖ ፡ ለኖኅ ፡ ፭፻ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ፫ደቂቀ ፡ ዘውእቶሙ ፡ ሴም ፡ ወካም ፡ ወያፌት ።
Noah was five hundred years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
