8:1
וַיִּזְכֹּ֤ר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶת־נֹ֔חַ וְאֵ֤ת כׇּל־הַֽחַיָּה֙ וְאֶת־כׇּל־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ בַּתֵּבָ֑ה וַיַּעֲבֵ֨ר אֱלֹהִ֥ים ר֙וּחַ֙ עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ וַיָּשֹׁ֖כּוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐμνήσθη ὁ θεὸς τοῦ Νωε καὶ πάντων τῶν θηρίων καὶ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν καὶ πάντων τῶν ἑρπετῶν ὅσα ἦν μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐκόπασεν τὸ ὕδωρ
Recordatus autem Deus Noë, cunctorumque animantium, et omnium jumentorum, quae erant cum eo in arca, adduxit spiritum super terram, et imminutae sunt aquae.
ወተዘከሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኖኅ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ታቦት ፡ ወአምጽአ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መንፈሰ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወተነትገ ፡ ማይ ።
God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided.
8:2
וַיִּסָּֽכְרוּ֙ מַעְיְנֹ֣ת תְּה֔וֹם וַֽאֲרֻבֹּ֖ת הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם וַיִּכָּלֵ֥א הַגֶּ֖שֶׁם מִן־הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐπεκαλύφθησαν αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ οἱ καταρράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ συνεσχέθη ὁ ὑετὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ
Et clausi sunt fontes abyssi, et cataractae caeli : et prohibitae sunt pluviae de caelo.
ወተዐጽወ ፡ አንቅዕተ ፡ ቀላይ ፡ ወአስራበ ፡ ሰማይኒ ፡ ተእኅዘ ፡ ወቆመ ፡ ዝናም ፡ እምነ ፡ ሰማይ ።
The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.
8:3
וַיָּשֻׁ֧בוּ הַמַּ֛יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָ֖רֶץ הָל֣וֹךְ וָשׁ֑וֹב וַיַּחְסְר֣וּ הַמַּ֔יִם מִקְצֵ֕ה חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת יֽוֹם׃
καὶ ἐνεδίδου τὸ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐνεδίδου καὶ ἠλαττονοῦτο τὸ ὕδωρ μετὰ πεντήκοντα καὶ ἑκατὸν ἡμέρας
Reversaeque sunt aquae de terra euntes et redeuntes : et coeperunt minui post centum quinquaginta dies.
ወአኀዘ ፡ ይኅልቅ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወይሑር ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወእምድኅረ ፡ ፻ወ፶ዕለት ፡ ሐጸ ፡ ማይ ።
The waters continually receded from the earth. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters receded.
8:4
וַתָּ֤נַח הַתֵּבָה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָה־עָשָׂ֥ר י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ עַ֖ל הָרֵ֥י אֲרָרָֽט׃
καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ κιβωτὸς ἐν μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός ἐπὶ τὰ ὄρη τὰ Αραρατ
Requievitque arca mense septimo, vigesimo septimo die mensis, super montes Armeniae.
ወነበረት ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ታቦት ፡ በሳብዕ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሡሩ ፡ ወሰኑዩ ፡ ለጽልመት ፡ ውስተ ፡ አድባረ ፡ አራራት ።
The ship rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat’s mountains.
8:5
וְהַמַּ֗יִם הָיוּ֙ הָל֣וֹךְ וְחָס֔וֹר עַ֖ד הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֑י בָּֽעֲשִׂירִי֙ בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ נִרְא֖וּ רָאשֵׁ֥י הֶֽהָרִֽים׃
τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ πορευόμενον ἠλαττονοῦτο ἕως τοῦ δεκάτου μηνός ἐν δὲ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ μηνί τῇ πρώτῃ τοῦ μηνός ὤφθησαν αἱ κεφαλαὶ τῶν ὀρέων
At vero aquae ibant et decrescebant usque ad decimum mensem : decimo enim mense, primo die mensis, apparuerunt cacumina montium.
ወማይሰ ፡ የሐጽጽ ፡ ወይትነተግ ፡ እስከ ፡ ፲ወርኅ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ፲ወ፩አውራኅ ፡ አመ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ አስተርአየ ፡ አርእስቲሆሙ ፡ ለአድበር ።
The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were visible.
8:6
וַיְהִ֕י מִקֵּ֖ץ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֑וֹם וַיִּפְתַּ֣ח נֹ֔חַ אֶת־חַלּ֥וֹן הַתֵּבָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας ἠνέῳξεν Νωε τὴν θυρίδα τῆς κιβωτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν
Cumque transissent quadraginta dies, aperiens Noë fenestram arcae, quam fecerat, dimisit corvum,
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ አርብዓ ፡ ዕለት ፡ አርኀወ ፡ መስኮታ ፡ ለታቦት ፡ ኖኅ ፡ እንተ ፡ ገብረ ።
At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made,
8:7
וַיְשַׁלַּ֖ח אֶת־הָֽעֹרֵ֑ב וַיֵּצֵ֤א יָצוֹא֙ וָשׁ֔וֹב עַד־יְבֹ֥שֶׁת הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν κόρακα τοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ καὶ ἐξελθὼν οὐχ ὑπέστρεψεν ἕως τοῦ ξηρανθῆναι τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς
qui egrediebatur, et non revertebatur, donec siccarentur aquae super terram.
ወፈነዎ ፡ ለቋዕ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ እመ ፡ ተነትገ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምነ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወሖረ ፡ ወኢገብአ ፡ እስከ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ።
and he sent out a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth.
8:8
וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֖ה מֵאִתּ֑וֹ לִרְאוֹת֙ הֲקַ֣לּוּ הַמַּ֔יִם מֵעַ֖ל פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ ἰδεῖν εἰ κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς
Emisit quoque columbam post eum, ut videret si jam cessassent aquae super faciem terrae.
ወፈነዋ ፡ ለርግብ ፡ እምድኅሬሁ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትርአይ ፡ እመ ፡ ነትገ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ምድር ።
He himself sent out a dove to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground,
8:9
וְלֹֽא־מָצְאָה֩ הַיּוֹנָ֨ה מָנ֜וֹחַ לְכַף־רַגְלָ֗הּ וַתָּ֤שׇׁב אֵלָיו֙ אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֔ה כִּי־מַ֖יִם עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָדוֹ֙ וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ וַיָּבֵ֥א אֹתָ֛הּ אֵלָ֖יו אֶל־הַתֵּבָֽה׃
καὶ οὐχ εὑροῦσα ἡ περιστερὰ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῆς ὑπέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν ὅτι ὕδωρ ἦν ἐπὶ παντὶ προσώπῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν
Quae cum non invenisset ubi requiesceret pes ejus, reversa est ad eum in arcam : aquae enim erant super universam terram : extenditque manum, et apprehensam intulit in arcam.
ወኢረከበት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ታዐርፍ ፡ እግራ ፡ ወገብአት ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ታቦት ፡ እስመ ፡ ማይ ፡ ሀሉ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወሰፍሐ ፡ እዴሁ ፡ ወነሥኣ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ታቦት ፡ ኀቤሁ ።
but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned into the ship to him, for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship.
8:10
וַיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וַיֹּ֛סֶף שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֖ה מִן־הַתֵּבָֽה׃
καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστερὰν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ
Expectatis autem ultra septem diebus aliis, rursum dimisit columbam ex arca.
ወተዐጊሶ ፡ ሰቡዐ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ካዕበ ፡ ፈነዋ ፡ ለርግብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ (ከመ ፡ ትርአይ) ።
He waited yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship.
8:11
וַתָּבֹ֨א אֵלָ֤יו הַיּוֹנָה֙ לְעֵ֣ת עֶ֔רֶב וְהִנֵּ֥ה עֲלֵה־זַ֖יִת טָרָ֣ף בְּפִ֑יהָ וַיֵּ֣דַע נֹ֔חַ כִּי־קַ֥לּוּ הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ περιστερὰ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν καὶ εἶχεν φύλλον ἐλαίας κάρφος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῆς καὶ ἔγνω Νωε ὅτι κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς
At illa venit ad eum ad vesperam, portans ramum olivae virentibus foliis in ore suo : intellexit ergo Noë quod cessassent aquae super terram.
ወገብአት ፡ ኀቤሁ ፡ ርግብ ፡ ፍና ፡ ሰርክ ፡ ወባቲ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አፉሃ ፡ ቈጽለ ፡ ዘይት ፡ ወአእመረ ፡ ኖኅ ፡ ከመ ፡ ተነትገ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ።
The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth.
8:12
וַיִּיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וַיְשַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֔ה וְלֹֽא־יָסְפָ֥ה שׁוּב־אֵלָ֖יו עֽוֹד׃
καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστεράν καὶ οὐ προσέθετο τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔτι
Expectavitque nihilominus septem alios dies : et emisit columbam, quae non est reversa ultra ad eum.
ወተዐጊሦ ፡ ካዕበ ፡ ሰቡዐ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ፈነዋ ፡ ለርግብ ፡ ወኢደገመት ፡ ገቢአ ፡ ኀቤሁ ።
He waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him any more.
8:13
וַ֠יְהִ֠י בְּאַחַ֨ת וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵא֜וֹת שָׁנָ֗ה בָּֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ חָֽרְב֥וּ הַמַּ֖יִם מֵעַ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיָּ֤סַר נֹ֙חַ֙ אֶת־מִכְסֵ֣ה הַתֵּבָ֔ה וַיַּ֕רְא וְהִנֵּ֥ה חָֽרְב֖וּ פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε τοῦ πρώτου μηνός μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν Νωε τὴν στέγην τῆς κιβωτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς
Igitur sexcentesimo primo anno, primo mense, prima die mensis, imminutae sunt aquae super terram : et aperiens Noë tectum arcae, aspexit, viditque quod exsiccata esset superficies terrae.
ወአመ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ፯፻ወ፩ዓመተ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሕይወቱ ፡ ለኖሕ ፡ አመ ፡ ርእሰ ፡ ሠርቀ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ [ቀዳማይ ፡] ኀልቀ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወከሠታ ፡ ኖኅ ፡ ለጠፈራ ፡ ለታቦት ፡ እንተ ፡ ገብረ ፡ ወርእየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኀልቀ ፡ ማይ ፡ እምገጸ ፡ ምድር ።
In the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dry.
8:14
וּבַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י בְּשִׁבְעָ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים י֖וֹם לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ יָבְשָׁ֖ה הָאָֽרֶץ׃ {ס}
ἐν δὲ τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός ἐξηράνθη ἡ γῆ
Mense secundo, septimo et vigesimo die mensis arefacta est terra.
ወበካልእ ፡ ወርኅ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐሡሩ ፡ ወሰኑዩ ፡ የብሰት ፡ ምድር ።
In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.
8:15
וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶל־נֹ֥חַ לֵאמֹֽר׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε λέγων
Locutus est autem Deus ad Noë, dicens :
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኖኅ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ።
God spoke to Noah, saying,
8:16
צֵ֖א מִן־הַתֵּבָ֑ה אַתָּ֕ה וְאִשְׁתְּךָ֛ וּבָנֶ֥יךָ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנֶ֖יךָ אִתָּֽךְ׃
ἔξελθε ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ σὺ καὶ ἡ γυνή σου καὶ οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν σου μετὰ σοῦ
Egredere de arca, tu et uxor tua, filii tui et uxores filiorum tuorum tecum.
ፃእ ፡ እምነ ፡ ታቦት ፡ አንተ ፡ ወብእሲትከ ፡ ወደቂቅከ ፡ ወአንስትያ ፡ ደቂቅከ ፤
“Go out of the ship, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.
8:17
כׇּל־הַחַיָּ֨ה אֲשֶֽׁר־אִתְּךָ֜ מִכׇּל־בָּשָׂ֗ר בָּע֧וֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָ֛ה וּבְכׇל־הָרֶ֛מֶשׂ הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ (הוצא) [הַיְצֵ֣א] אִתָּ֑ךְ וְשָֽׁרְצ֣וּ בָאָ֔רֶץ וּפָר֥וּ וְרָב֖וּ עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία ὅσα ἐστὶν μετὰ σοῦ καὶ πᾶσα σὰρξ ἀπὸ πετεινῶν ἕως κτηνῶν καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐξάγαγε μετὰ σεαυτοῦ καὶ αὐξάνεσθε καὶ πληθύνεσθε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Cuncta animantia, quae sunt apud te, ex omni carne, tam in volatilibus quam in bestiis et universis reptilibus, quae reptant super terram, educ tecum, et ingredimini super terram : crescite et multiplicamini super eam.
ወኵሉ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘሥጋ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዖፍ ፡ እስከ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ አውፅእ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወብዝኁ ፡ ወተባዝኁ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.”
8:18
וַיֵּ֖צֵא־נֹ֑חַ וּבָנָ֛יו וְאִשְׁתּ֥וֹ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנָ֖יו אִתּֽוֹ׃
καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Νωε καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτοῦ
Egressus est ergo Noë, et filii ejus : uxor illius, et uxores filiorum ejus cum eo.
ወወፅአ ፡ ኖኅ ፡ ወብእሲቱ ፡ ወደቂቁ ፡ ወአንስትያ ፡ ደቂቁ ፡ ምስሌሁ ።
Noah went out, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.
8:19
כׇּל־הַֽחַיָּ֗ה כׇּל־הָרֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ וְכׇל־הָע֔וֹף כֹּ֖ל רוֹמֵ֣שׂ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם יָצְא֖וּ מִן־הַתֵּבָֽה׃
καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος αὐτῶν ἐξήλθοσαν ἐκ τῆς κιβωτοῦ
Sed et omnia animantia, jumenta, et reptilia quae reptant super terram, secundum genus suum, egressa sunt de arca.
ወኵሉ ፡ አራዊት ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ ወአዕዋፋት ፡ ወኵሉ ፡ ዘይትሐወስ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ፡ በበዘመዶሙ ፡ ወወጽኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ታቦት ።
Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship.
8:20
וַיִּ֥בֶן נֹ֛חַ מִזְבֵּ֖חַ לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה וַיִּקַּ֞ח מִכֹּ֣ל׀ הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה הַטְּהֹרָ֗ה וּמִכֹּל֙ הָע֣וֹף הַטָּה֔וֹר וַיַּ֥עַל עֹלֹ֖ת בַּמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Νωε θυσιαστήριον τῷ θεῷ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκαρπώσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον
Aedificavit autem Noë altare Domino : et tollens de cunctis pecoribus et volucribus mundis, obtulit holocausta super altare.
ወነደቀ ፡ ኖኅ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ እምነ ፡ እንስሳ ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘንጹሕ ፡ ወአዕረገ ፡ ቍርባነ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምሥዋዑ ።
Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
8:21
וַיָּ֣רַח יְהֹוָה֮ אֶת־רֵ֣יחַ הַנִּיחֹ֒חַ֒ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶל־לִבּ֗וֹ לֹֽא־אֹ֠סִ֠ף לְקַלֵּ֨ל ע֤וֹד אֶת־הָֽאֲדָמָה֙ בַּעֲב֣וּר הָֽאָדָ֔ם כִּ֠י יֵ֣צֶר לֵ֧ב הָאָדָ֛ם רַ֖ע מִנְּעֻרָ֑יו וְלֹֽא־אֹסִ֥ף ע֛וֹד לְהַכּ֥וֹת אֶת־כׇּל־חַ֖י כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִֽׂיתִי׃
καὶ ὠσφράνθη κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς διανοηθείς οὐ προσθήσω ἔτι τοῦ καταράσασθαι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων ὅτι ἔγκειται ἡ διάνοια τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπιμελῶς ἐπὶ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐκ νεότητος οὐ προσθήσω οὖν ἔτι πατάξαι πᾶσαν σάρκα ζῶσαν καθὼς ἐποίησα
Odoratusque est Dominus odorem suavitatis, et ait : Nequaquam ultra maledicam terrae propter homines : sensus enim et cogitatio humani cordis in malum prona sunt ab adolescentia sua : non igitur ultra percutiam omnem animam viventem sicut feci.
ወአጼነወ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ መዐዛ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሐለይኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይደግም ፡ ረጊሞታ ፡ ለምድር ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምግባሩ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እስመ ፡ ሥዩም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ለእጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ፡ እኪት ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ጊዜ ፡ እምነ ፡ ንእሶሙ ፡ ወኢይደግም ፡ እንከ ፡ አማስኖቶ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ዘሥጋ ፡ ዘሕያው ፡ በከመ ፡ ገበርኩ ።
Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.
8:22
עֹ֖ד כׇּל־יְמֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ זֶ֡רַע וְ֠קָצִ֠יר וְקֹ֨ר וָחֹ֜ם וְקַ֧יִץ וָחֹ֛רֶף וְי֥וֹם וָלַ֖יְלָה לֹ֥א יִשְׁבֹּֽתוּ׃
πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς γῆς σπέρμα καὶ θερισμός ψῦχος καὶ καῦμα θέρος καὶ ἔαρ ἡμέραν καὶ νύκτα οὐ καταπαύσουσιν
Cunctis diebus terrae, sementis et messis, frigus et aestus, aestas et hiems, nox et dies non requiescent.
ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕሊሃ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ዘርአ ፡ ወማእረረ ፡ ቍረ ፡ ወሃፈ ፡ ሐጋየ ፡ ወክረምተ ፡ መዓልተ ፡ ወሌሊተ ፡ ዘኢይትኀደግ ።
While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”
