33:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֧י דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ שֵׁנִ֑ית וְהוּא֙ עוֹדֶ֣נּוּ עָצ֔וּר בַּחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר ׃
ἐν ἀρχῇ βασιλέως Ιωακιμ υἱοῦ Ιωσια ἐγενήθη ὁ λόγος οὗτος παρὰ κυρίου
Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam secundo , cum adhuc clausus esset in atrio carceris , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ዳግመ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ሀሎ ፡ ዓዲሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐፀደ ፡ ሞቅሕ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Moreover Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still locked up in the court of the guard, saying,
33:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּה ־אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה עֹשָׂ֑הּ יְהֹוָ֗ה יוֹצֵ֥ר אוֹתָ֛הּ לַהֲכִינָ֖הּ יְהֹוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ ׃
οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος στῆθι ἐν αὐλῇ οἴκου κυρίου καὶ χρηματιεῖς ἅπασι τοῖς Ιουδαίοις καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς ἐρχομένοις προσκυνεῖν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου ἅπαντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς συνέταξά σοι αὐτοῖς χρηματίσαι μὴ ἀφέλῃς ῥῆμα
Haec dicit Dominus , qui facturus est , et formaturus illud , et paraturus : Dominus nomen ejus :
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘገብራ ፡ ለምድር ፡ ወፈጠራ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርትዓ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ስሙ ።
“Yahweh who does it, Yahweh who forms it to establish it—Yahweh is his name, says:
33:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ קְרָ֥א אֵלַ֖י וְאֶעֱנֶ֑ךָּ וְאַגִּ֧ידָה לְּךָ֛ גְּדֹל֥וֹת וּבְצֻר֖וֹת לֹ֥א יְדַעְתָּֽם ׃ {פ}
ἴσως ἀκούσονται καὶ ἀποστραφήσονται ἕκαστος ἀπὸ τῆς ὁδοῦ αὐτοῦ τῆς πονηρᾶς καὶ παύσομαι ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν ὧν ἐγὼ λογίζομαι τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτοῖς ἕνεκεν τῶν πονηρῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων αὐτῶν
Clama ad me , et exaudiam te , et annuntiabo tibi grandia et firma quae nescis .
ጽራሕ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወአወሥአከ ፡ ወእነግረከ ፡ ዓቢያተ ፡ ወኃይላተ ፡ ዘኢተዘምር ።
‘Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.’
33:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַל ־בָּתֵּי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את וְעַל ־בָּתֵּ֖י מַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה הַנְּתֻצִ֕ים אֶל ־הַסֹּלְל֖וֹת וְאֶל ־הֶחָֽרֶב ׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος ἐὰν μὴ ἀκούσητέ μου τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐν τοῖς νομίμοις μου οἷς ἔδωκα κατὰ πρόσωπον ὑμῶν
Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus Israël ad domos urbis hujus , et ad domos regis Juda , quae destructae sunt , et ad munitiones , et ad gladium
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በእንተ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ዛቲ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ እለ ፡ ንኅሉ ፡ በሠራዊት ፡ ወእለ ፡ ተመዝበሩ ።
For Yahweh, the God of Israel, says concerning the houses of this city and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to make a defense against the mounds and against the sword:
33:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ בָּאִ֗ים לְהִלָּחֵם֙ אֶת ־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּלְמַלְאָם֙ אֶת ־פִּגְרֵ֣י הָאָדָ֔ם אֲשֶׁר ־הִכֵּ֥יתִי בְאַפִּ֖י וּבַחֲמָתִ֑י וַאֲשֶׁ֨ר הִסְתַּ֤רְתִּי פָנַי֙ מֵהָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את עַ֖ל כׇּל ־רָעָתָֽם ׃
εἰσακούειν τῶν λόγων τῶν παίδων μου τῶν προφητῶν οὓς ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω πρὸς ὑμᾶς ὄρθρου καὶ ἀπέστειλα καὶ οὐκ εἰσηκούσατέ μου
venientium ut dimicent cum Chaldaeis , et impleant eas cadaveribus hominum quos percussi in furore meo et in indignatione mea , abscondens faciem meam a civitate hac , propter omnem malitiam eorum :
እስመ ፡ መጽኡ ፡ መስተቃትላነ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ይትቃተሉ ፡ እመልኣ ፡ አብድንተ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ እለ ፡ እቀትል ፡ በመዐትየ ፡ ወበመቅሠፍትየ ፡ ወሜጥኩ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ እምኑሆሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እከዮሙ ።
‘While men come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have killed in my anger and in my wrath, and for all whose wickedness I have hidden my face from this city,
33:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנְנִ֧י מַעֲלֶה ־לָּ֛הּ אֲרֻכָ֥ה וּמַרְפֵּ֖א וּרְפָאתִ֑ים וְגִלֵּיתִ֣י לָהֶ֔ם עֲתֶ֥רֶת שָׁל֖וֹם וֶאֱמֶֽת ׃
καὶ δώσω τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον ὥσπερ Σηλωμ καὶ τὴν πόλιν δώσω εἰς κατάραν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν πάσης τῆς γῆς
Ecce ego obducam eis cicatricem et sanitatem , et curabo eos , et revelabo illis deprecationem pacis et veritatis .
ናሁ ፡ አዐርግ ፡ ላቲ ፡ ፈውሰ ፡ ወሥራየ ፡ ወእከሥት ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ሰላም ፡ ወጽድቅ ።
behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them; and I will reveal to them abundance of peace and truth.
33:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִי֙ אֶת ־שְׁב֣וּת יְהוּדָ֔ה וְאֵ֖ת שְׁב֣וּת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּבְנִתִ֖ים כְּבָרִֽאשֹׁנָֽה ׃
καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τοῦ Ιερεμιου λαλοῦντος τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου
Et convertam conversionem Juda et conversionem Jerusalem , et aedificabo eos sicut a principio .
ወእመይጥ ፡ ፈላስያነ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወፈላስያነ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወአሐንጾሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትካት ።
I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel, and will build them as at the first.
33:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְטִ֣הַרְתִּ֔ים מִכׇּל ־עֲוֺנָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ ־לִ֑י וְסָלַחְתִּ֗י (לכול ) [לְכׇל ־]עֲוֺנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָֽטְאוּ ־לִ֔י וַאֲשֶׁ֖ר פָּ֥שְׁעוּ בִֽי ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο Ιερεμιου παυσαμένου λαλοῦντος πάντα ἃ συνέταξεν αὐτῷ κύριος λαλῆσαι παντὶ τῷ λαῷ καὶ συνελάβοσαν αὐτὸν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς λέγων θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ
Et emundabo illos ab omni iniquitate sua in qua peccaverunt mihi , et propitius ero cunctis iniquitatibus eorum , in quibus dereliquerunt mihi et spreverunt me .
ወአነጽሖሙ ፡ እምኵሉ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ዘአበሱ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ወእሰሪ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ጌጋዮሙ ፡ ዘዐለዉኒ ።
I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against me. I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against me and by which they have transgressed against me.
33:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָ֣יְתָה לִּ֗י לְשֵׁ֤ם שָׂשׂוֹן֙ לִתְהִלָּ֣ה וּלְתִפְאֶ֔רֶת לְכֹ֖ל גּוֹיֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשְׁמְע֜וּ אֶת ־כׇּל ־הַטּוֹבָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר אָנֹכִי֙ עֹשֶׂ֣ה אוֹתָ֔ם וּפָחֲד֣וּ וְרָגְז֗וּ עַ֤ל כׇּל ־הַטּוֹבָה֙ וְעַ֣ל כׇּל ־הַשָּׁל֔וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אָנֹכִ֖י עֹ֥שֶׂה לָּֽהּ ׃ {ס}
ὅτι ἐπροφήτευσας τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου λέγων ὥσπερ Σηλωμ ἔσται ὁ οἶκος οὗτος καὶ ἡ πόλις αὕτη ἐρημωθήσεται ἀπὸ κατοικούντων καὶ ἐξεκκλησιάσθη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐπὶ Ιερεμιαν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου
Et erit mihi in nomen , et in gaudium , et in laudem , et in exsultationem cunctis gentibus terrae , quae audierint omnia bona quae ego facturus sum eis : et pavebunt et turbabuntur in universis bonis , et in omni pace quam ego faciam eis .
ወይከውን ፡ ፍሥሐ ፡ ወክብር ፡ ወዕበይ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ አሕዛበ ፡ ምድር ፡ እለ ፡ ሰምዑ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ዘገበርኩ ፡ አነ ፡ ወይፈርሁ ፡ ወይደነግፁ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ሰላም ፡ ዘእገብር ፡ ሎሙ ፡ አነ ።
This city will be to me for a name of joy, for praise, and for glory, before all the nations of the earth, which will hear all the good that I do to them, and will fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I provide to it.’”
33:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה עוֹד֮ יִשָּׁמַ֣ע בַּמָּקוֹם ־הַזֶּה֒ אֲשֶׁר֙ אַתֶּ֣ם אֹֽמְרִ֔ים חָרֵ֣ב ה֔וּא מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֖ם וּמֵאֵ֣ין בְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּעָרֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ וּבְחֻצ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם הַֽנְשַׁמּ֗וֹת מֵאֵ֥ין אָדָ֛ם וּמֵאֵ֥ין יוֹשֵׁ֖ב וּמֵאֵ֥ין בְּהֵמָֽה ׃
καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἄρχοντες Ιουδα τὸν λόγον τοῦτον καὶ ἀνέβησαν ἐξ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως εἰς οἶκον κυρίου καὶ ἐκάθισαν ἐν προθύροις πύλης κυρίου τῆς καινῆς
Haec dicit Dominus : Adhuc audietur in loco isto quem vos dicitis esse desertum , eo quod non sit homo nec jumentum in civitatibus Juda , et foris Jerusalem , quae desolatae sunt , absque homine , et absque habitatore , et absque pecore ,
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ይሰማዕ ፡ በዝ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ዘትብልዎ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ በድው ፡ ውእቱ ፡ እምሰብእ ፡ ወእምእንስሳ ፡ በአህጉረ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወበአፍአሃ ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ጽብእት ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወእንስሳ ።
Yahweh says: “Yet again there will be heard in this place, about which you say, ‘It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal,’
33:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ ק֣וֹל שָׂשׂ֞וֹן וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֗ה ק֣וֹל חָתָן֮ וְק֣וֹל כַּלָּה֒ ק֣וֹל אֹמְרִ֡ים הוֹדוּ֩ אֶת ־יְהֹוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת כִּי ־ט֤וֹב יְהֹוָה֙ כִּֽי ־לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּ֔וֹ מְבִאִ֥ים תּוֹדָ֖ה בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה כִּֽי ־אָשִׁ֧יב אֶת ־שְׁבוּת ־הָאָ֛רֶץ כְּבָרִאשֹׁנָ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ ψευδοπροφῆται πρὸς τοὺς ἄρχοντας καὶ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ κρίσις θανάτου τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τούτῳ ὅτι ἐπροφήτευσεν κατὰ τῆς πόλεως ταύτης καθὼς ἠκούσατε ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν ὑμῶν
vox gaudii et vox laetitiae , vox sponsi et vox sponsae , vox dicentium : Confitemini Domino exercituum , quoniam bonus Dominus , quoniam in aeternum misericordia ejus : et portantium vota in domum Domini : reducam enim conversionem terrae sicut a principio , dicit Dominus .
ቃለ ፡ ፍሥሐ ፡ ወቃለ ፡ ኃሤት ፡ ቃለ ፡ መርዓዊ ፡ ወቃለ ፡ መርዓት ፡ ወቃለ ፡ ዘይብል ፡ እመኑ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘይነግሥ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኄር ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወለዓለም ፡ ምሕረቱ ።
the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Give thanks to Yahweh of Armies, for Yahweh is good, for his loving kindness endures forever;’ who bring thanksgiving into Yahweh’s house. For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed as at the first,” says Yahweh.
33:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּה ־אָמַר֮ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָאוֹת֒ ע֞וֹד יִהְיֶ֣ה ׀ בַּמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֗ה הֶחָרֵ֛ב מֵאֵין ־אָדָ֥ם וְעַד ־בְּהֵמָ֖ה וּבְכׇל ־עָרָ֑יו נְוֵ֣ה רֹעִ֔ים מַרְבִּצִ֖ים צֹֽאן ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ιερεμιας πρὸς τοὺς ἄρχοντας καὶ παντὶ τῷ λαῷ λέγων κύριος ἀπέστειλέν με προφητεῦσαι ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους οὓς ἠκούσατε
Haec dicit Dominus exercituum : Adhuc erit in loco isto deserto , absque homine et absque jumento , et in cunctis civitatibus ejus , habitaculum pastorum accubantium gregum .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኃያል ፡ ዓዲ ፡ ይሰማዕ ፡ በዝ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ዘማሰነ ፡ በኀጢአ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ወእንስሳ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪሁ ፡ ማኅደረ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወአዕፃደ ፡ አባግዕ ።
Yahweh of Armies says: “Yet again there will be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
33:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ בְּעָרֵ֨י הָהָ֜ר בְּעָרֵ֤י הַשְּׁפֵלָה֙ וּבְעָרֵ֣י הַנֶּ֔גֶב וּבְאֶ֧רֶץ בִּנְיָמִ֛ן וּבִסְבִיבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וּבְעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה עֹ֣ד תַּעֲבֹ֧רְנָה הַצֹּ֛אן עַל ־יְדֵ֥י מוֹנֶ֖ה אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ νῦν βελτίους ποιήσατε τὰς ὁδοὺς ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ ἔργα ὑμῶν καὶ ἀκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου καὶ παύσεται κύριος ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν ὧν ἐλάλησεν ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς
In civitatibus montuosis , et in civitatibus campestribus , et in civitatibus quae ad austrum sunt , et in terra Benjamin , et in circuitu Jerusalem , et in civitatibus Juda , adhuc transibunt greges ad manum numerantis , ait Dominus .
ውስተ ፡ አህጉረ ፡ አድባር ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አህጉረ ፡ ሴፌላ ፡ ወበአህጉረ ፡ ናጌብ ፡ ወበምድረ ፡ ብንያም ፡ ወበአድያመ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወበአህጉረ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወዓዲ ፡ ይወፍራ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ በእደ ፡ ዘይኌልቆን ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the South, in the land of Benjamin, in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of him who counts them,” says Yahweh.
33:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ הִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה וַהֲקִֽמֹתִי֙ אֶת ־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַטּ֔וֹב אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֛רְתִּי אֶל ־בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְעַל ־בֵּ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה ׃
καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐν χερσὶν ὑμῶν ποιήσατέ μοι ὡς συμφέρει καὶ ὡς βέλτιον ὑμῖν
Ecce dies veniunt , dicit Dominus , et suscitabo verbum bonum quod locutus sum ad domum Israël et ad domum Juda .
ናሁ ፡ ይበጽሕ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአቀውም ፡ ቃልየ ፡ ሠናየ ፡ ዘተናገርኩ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ።
“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.
33:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵם֙ וּבָעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא אַצְמִ֥יחַ לְדָוִ֖ד צֶ֣מַח צְדָקָ֑ה וְעָשָׂ֛ה מִשְׁפָּ֥ט וּצְדָקָ֖ה בָּאָֽרֶץ ׃
ἀλλ’ ἢ γνόντες γνώσεσθε ὅτι εἰ ἀναιρεῖτέ με αἷμα ἀθῷον δίδοτε ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν αὐτῇ ὅτι ἐν ἀληθείᾳ ἀπέσταλκέν με κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς λαλῆσαι εἰς τὰ ὦτα ὑμῶν πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους
In diebus illis et in tempore illo germinare faciam David germen justitiae , et faciet judicium et justitiam in terra :
በአማንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ወይእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ አሠርፅ ፡ ለዳዊት ፡ ሠርፀ ፡ ጽድቅ ፡ ወይገብር ፡ ፍትሐ ፡ ወጽድቅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ።
“In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.
33:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵם֙ תִּוָּשַׁ֣ע יְהוּדָ֔ה וִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם תִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן לָבֶ֑טַח וְזֶ֥ה אֲשֶׁר ־יִקְרָא ־לָ֖הּ יְהֹוָ֥ה ׀צִדְקֵֽנוּ ׃ {ס}
καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἄρχοντες καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς πρὸς τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ πρὸς τοὺς ψευδοπροφήτας οὐκ ἔστιν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τούτῳ κρίσις θανάτου ὅτι ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐλάλησεν πρὸς ἡμᾶς
in diebus illis salvabitur Juda , et Jerusalem habitabit confidenter : et hoc est nomen quod vocabunt eum : Dominus justus noster .
በእማንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ትድኅን ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ትነብር ፡ ተአሚና ።
In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: Yahweh our righteousness.”
33:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי ־כֹ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה לֹא ־יִכָּרֵ֣ת לְדָוִ֔ד אִ֕ישׁ יֹשֵׁ֖ב עַל ־כִּסֵּ֥א בֵֽית ־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἄνδρες τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τῆς γῆς καὶ εἶπαν πάσῃ τῇ συναγωγῇ τοῦ λαοῦ
Quia haec dicit Dominus : Non interibit de David vir qui sedeat super thronum domus Israël :
እስመ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢይትመተር ፡ ለዳዊት ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ዘይነብር ፡ ዲበ ፡ መንበረ ፡ ቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ።
For Yahweh says: “David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.
33:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לֹא ־יִכָּרֵ֥ת אִ֖ישׁ מִלְּפָנָ֑י מַעֲלֶ֨ה עוֹלָ֜ה וּמַקְטִ֥יר מִנְחָ֛ה וְעֹ֥שֶׂה זֶּ֖בַח כׇּל ־הַיָּמִֽים ׃ {פ}
Μιχαιας ὁ Μωραθίτης ἦν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Εζεκιου βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ εἶπεν παντὶ τῷ λαῷ Ιουδα οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος Σιων ὡς ἀγρὸς ἀροτριαθήσεται καὶ Ιερουσαλημ εἰς ἄβατον ἔσται καὶ τὸ ὄρος τοῦ οἴκου εἰς ἄλσος δρυμοῦ
et de sacerdotibus et de Levitis non interibit vir a facie mea , qui offerat holocautomata , et incendat sacrificum , et caedat victimas omnibus diebus .
ወለካህናት ፡ ሌዋውያን ፡ ኢይትመተር ፡ ብእሲ ፡ እምቅድሜየ ፡ ዘያዐርግ ፡ ቊርባነ ፡ ወዘየዐጥን ፡ መባአ ፡ ወይዘገብር ፡ መሥዋዕተ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ መዋዕለ ።
The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”
33:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר ־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֽוֹר ׃
μὴ ἀνελὼν ἀνεῖλεν αὐτὸν Εζεκιας καὶ πᾶς Ιουδα οὐχὶ ὅτι ἐφοβήθησαν τὸν κύριον καὶ ὅτι ἐδεήθησαν τοῦ προσώπου κυρίου καὶ ἐπαύσατο κύριος ἀπὸ τῶν κακῶν ὧν ἐλάλησεν ἐπ’ αὐτούς καὶ ἡμεῖς ἐποιήσαμεν κακὰ μεγάλα ἐπὶ ψυχὰς ἡμῶν
Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
33:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אִם ־תָּפֵ֙רוּ֙ אֶת ־בְּרִיתִ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם וְאֶת ־בְּרִיתִ֖י הַלָּ֑יְלָה וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י הֱי֥וֹת יֽוֹמָם ־וָלַ֖יְלָה בְּעִתָּֽם ׃
καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἦν προφητεύων τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου Ουριας υἱὸς Σαμαιου ἐκ Καριαθιαριμ καὶ ἐπροφήτευσεν περὶ τῆς γῆς ταύτης κατὰ πάντας τοὺς λόγους Ιερεμιου
Haec dicit Dominus : Si irritum potest fieri pactum meum cum die , et pactum meum cum nocte , ut non sit dies et nox in tempore suo ,
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመ ፡ ይትዌለጥ ፡ ሥርዓተ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወሥርዓተ ፡ ሌሊት ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይኩን ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወሌሊት ፡ በጊዜሆሙ ።
“Yahweh says: ‘If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time,
33:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּם ־בְּרִיתִ֤י תֻפַר֙ אֶת ־דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י מִהְיֽוֹת ־ל֥וֹ בֵ֖ן מֹלֵ֣ךְ עַל ־כִּסְא֑וֹ וְאֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֥ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים מְשָֽׁרְתָֽי ׃
καὶ ἤκουσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Ιωακιμ καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες πάντας τοὺς λόγους αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐζήτουν ἀποκτεῖναι αὐτόν καὶ ἤκουσεν Ουριας καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς Αἴγυπτον
et pactum meum irritum esse poterit cum David servo meo , ut non sit ex eo filius qui regnet in throno ejus , et Levitae et sacerdotes ministri mei .
ሥርዓትየሂ ፡ ይትዌለጥ ፡ ዘምስለ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ገብርየ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይኩን ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ወልድ ፡ ዘይነግሥ ፡ በዲበ ፡ መንበሩ ፡ ወእምሌዋውያን ፡ ካህናት ፡ ዘይትለአከኒ ።
then my covenant could also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levitical priests, my ministers.
33:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא ־יִסָּפֵר֙ צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְלֹ֥א יִמַּ֖ד ח֣וֹל הַיָּ֑ם כֵּ֣ן אַרְבֶּ֗ה אֶת ־זֶ֙רַע֙ דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י וְאֶת ־הַלְוִיִּ֖ם מְשָֽׁרְתֵ֥י אֹתִֽי ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἄνδρας εἰς Αἴγυπτον
Sicuti enumerari non possunt stellae caeli , et metiri arena maris , sic multiplicabo semen David servi mei , et Levitas ministros meos .
ከመ ፡ ኢይትኌለቁ ፡ ኃይለ ፡ ሰማያት ፡ ወኢይሰፈር ፡ ኆፃ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አበዝኆ ፡ ለዘርአ ፡ ዳዊት ፡ ገብርየ ፡ ወለሌዋውያን ፡ እለ ፡ ይትለአኩኒ ።
As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured, so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”
33:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר ־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶֽל ־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐξηγάγοσαν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖθεν καὶ εἰσηγάγοσαν αὐτὸν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ἐν μαχαίρᾳ καὶ ἔρριψεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὸ μνῆμα υἱῶν λαοῦ αὐτοῦ
Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ኤርምያስ ፡ ወይቤ ።
Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,
33:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֲל֣וֹא רָאִ֗יתָ מָֽה ־הָעָ֤ם הַזֶּה֙ דִּבְּר֣וּ לֵאמֹ֔ר שְׁתֵּ֣י הַמִּשְׁפָּח֗וֹת אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּחַ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה בָּהֶ֖ם וַיִּמְאָסֵ֑ם וְאֶת ־עַמִּי֙ יִנְאָצ֔וּן מִֽהְי֥וֹת ע֖וֹד גּ֥וֹי לִפְנֵיהֶֽם ׃ {ס}
πλὴν χεὶρ Αχικαμ υἱοῦ Σαφαν ἦν μετὰ Ιερεμιου τοῦ μὴ παραδοῦναι αὐτὸν εἰς χεῖρας τοῦ λαοῦ τοῦ μὴ ἀνελεῖν αὐτόν
Numquid non vidisti quid populus hic locutus sit , dicens : Duae cognationes quas elegerat Dominus abjectae sunt ? et populum meum despexerunt , eo quod non sit ultra gens coram eis .
ኢርኢከኑ ፡ ምንተ ፡ ይትናገር ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ለብሂል ፡ ፪ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘኀረዮሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወመነኖሙ ፡ ወለሕዝብየ ፡ ያስተቌጥዕዎሙ ፡ እምከዊነ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ።
“Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying, ‘Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”
33:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אִם ־לֹ֥א בְרִיתִ֖י יוֹמָ֣ם וָלָ֑יְלָה חֻקּ֛וֹת שָׁמַ֥יִם וָאָ֖רֶץ לֹא ־שָֽׂמְתִּי ׃
— Haec dicit Dominus : Si pactum meum inter diem et noctem , et leges caelo et terrae non posui ,
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመ ፡ ይትመተር ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወሌሊት ፡ ሥርዓተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወምድር ፡ ዘኢረሰይኩ ።
Yahweh says: “If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,
33:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ גַּם ־זֶ֣רַע יַעֲקוֹב֩ וְדָוִ֨ד עַבְדִּ֜י אֶמְאַ֗ס מִקַּ֤חַת מִזַּרְעוֹ֙ מֹֽשְׁלִ֔ים אֶל ־זֶ֥רַע אַבְרָהָ֖ם יִשְׂחָ֣ק וְיַעֲקֹ֑ב כִּי ־[אָשִׁ֥יב ] (אשוב ) אֶת ־שְׁבוּתָ֖ם וְרִחַמְתִּֽים ׃ {פ}
— equidem et semen Jacob et David servi mei projiciam , ut non assumam de semine ejus principes seminis Abraham , Isaac , et Jacob : reducam enim conversionem eorum , et miserebor eis .
ዘርአ ፡ ያዕቆብኒ ፡ ወዳዊት ፡ ገብርየ ፡ እሜንን ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይትነሥኡ ፡ እምዘርኡ ፡ መኳንንት ፡ ኀበ ፡ ዘርአ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ ወይስሐቅ ፡ ወያዕቆብ ፡ እስመ ፡ እመይጥ ፡ ፄዋሆሙ ፡ ወእምሕሮሙ ።
then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”
