11:1
וַיֵּשְׁב֥וּ שָׂרֵֽי־הָעָ֖ם בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וּשְׁאָ֣ר הָ֠עָ֠ם הִפִּ֨ילוּ גוֹרָל֜וֹת לְהָבִ֣יא׀ אֶחָ֣ד מִן־הָעֲשָׂרָ֗ה לָשֶׁ֙בֶת֙ בִּֽירוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ עִ֣יר הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ וְתֵ֥שַׁע הַיָּד֖וֹת בֶּעָרִֽים׃
καὶ ἐκάθισαν οἱ ἄρχοντες τοῦ λαοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τοῦ λαοῦ ἐβάλοσαν κλήρους ἐνέγκαι ἕνα ἀπὸ τῶν δέκα καθίσαι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ πόλει τῇ ἁγίᾳ καὶ ἐννέα μέρη ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν
Habitaverunt autem principes populi in Jerusalem : reliqua vero plebs misit sortem, ut tollerent unam partem de decem qui habitaturi essent in Jerusalem civitate sancta, novem vero partes in civitatibus.
The princes of the people lived in Jerusalem. The rest of the people also cast lots to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem, the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.
11:2
וַֽיְבָרְכ֖וּ הָעָ֑ם לְכֹל֙ הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים הַמִּֽתְנַדְּבִ֔ים לָשֶׁ֖בֶת בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ {פ}
καὶ εὐλόγησεν ὁ λαὸς τοὺς πάντας ἄνδρας τοὺς ἑκουσιαζομένους καθίσαι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ
Benedixit autem populus omnibus viris qui se sponte obtulerant ut habitarent in Jerusalem.
The people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
11:3
וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ רָאשֵׁ֣י הַמְּדִינָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָשְׁב֖וּ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וּבְעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה יָֽשְׁב֞וּ אִ֤ישׁ בַּאֲחֻזָּתוֹ֙ בְּעָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם וְהַנְּתִינִ֔ים וּבְנֵ֖י עַבְדֵ֥י שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
καὶ οὗτοι οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς χώρας οἳ ἐκάθισαν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα ἐκάθισαν ἀνὴρ ἐν κατασχέσει αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλεσιν αὐτῶν Ισραηλ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ οἱ ναθιναῖοι καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ δούλων Σαλωμων
Hi sunt itaque principes provinciae qui habitaverunt in Jerusalem, et in civitatibus Juda. Habitavit autem unusquisque in possessione sua, in urbibus suis, Israël, sacerdotes, Levitae, Nathinaei, et filii servorum Salomonis.
Now these are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah, everyone lived in his possession in their cities—Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
11:4
וּבִֽירוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ יָֽשְׁב֔וּ מִבְּנֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה וּמִבְּנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ן מִבְּנֵ֣י יְ֠הוּדָ֠ה עֲתָיָ֨ה בֶן־עֻזִּיָּ֜ה בֶּן־זְכַרְיָ֧ה בֶן־אֲמַרְיָ֛ה בֶּן־שְׁפַטְיָ֥ה בֶן־מַהֲלַלְאֵ֖ל מִבְּנֵי־פָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἐκάθισαν ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Βενιαμιν ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα Αθαια υἱὸς Αζαια υἱὸς Ζαχαρια υἱὸς Αμαρια υἱὸς Σαφατια υἱὸς Μαλεληλ καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Φαρες
Et in Jerusalem habitaverunt de filiis Juda, et de filiis Benjamin : de filiis Juda, Athaias filius Aziam, filii Zachariae, filii Amariae, filii Saphatiae, filii Melaleel : de filiis Phares,
Some of the children of Judah and of the children of Benjamin lived in Jerusalem. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;
11:5
וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֣ה בֶן־בָּר֣וּךְ בֶּן־כׇּל־חֹ֠זֶ֠ה בֶּן־חֲזָיָ֨ה בֶן־עֲדָיָ֧ה בֶן־יוֹיָרִ֛יב בֶּן־זְכַרְיָ֖ה בֶּן־הַשִּׁלֹנִֽי׃
καὶ Μαασια υἱὸς Βαρουχ υἱὸς Χαλαζα υἱὸς Οζια υἱὸς Αδαια υἱὸς Ιωριβ υἱὸς Θηζια υἱὸς τοῦ Σηλωνι
Maasia filius Baruch, filius Cholhoza, filius Hazia, filius Adaia, filius Jojarib, filius Zachariae, filius Silonitis :
and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.
11:6
כׇּל־בְּנֵי־פֶ֕רֶץ הַיֹּשְׁבִ֖ים בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֛וֹת שִׁשִּׁ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָ֖ה אַנְשֵׁי־חָֽיִל׃ {פ}
πάντες υἱοὶ Φαρες οἱ καθήμενοι ἐν Ιερουσαλημ τετρακόσιοι ἑξήκοντα ὀκτὼ ἄνδρες δυνάμεως
omnes hi filii Phares, qui habitaverunt in Jerusalem, quadringenti sexaginta octo viri fortes.
All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.
11:7
וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ן סַלֻּ֡א בֶּן־מְשֻׁלָּ֡ם בֶּן־יוֹעֵ֡ד בֶּן־פְּדָיָה֩ בֶן־ק֨וֹלָיָ֧ה בֶן־מַעֲשֵׂיָ֛ה בֶּן־אִֽיתִיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־יְשַֽׁעְיָֽה׃
καὶ οὗτοι υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν Σηλω υἱὸς Μεσουλαμ υἱὸς Ιωαδ υἱὸς Φαδαια υἱὸς Κωλια υἱὸς Μασαια υἱὸς Αιθιηλ υἱὸς Ιεσια
Hi sunt autem filii Benjamin : Sellum filius Mosollam, filius Joëd, filius Phadaia, filius Colaia, filius Masia, filius Etheel, filius Isaia,
These are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.
11:8
וְאַחֲרָ֖יו גַּבַּ֣י סַלָּ֑י תְּשַׁ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁמֹנָֽה׃
καὶ ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ Γηβι Σηλι ἐννακόσιοι εἴκοσι ὀκτώ
et post eum Gebbai, Sellai, nongenti viginti octo,
After him Gabbai and Sallai, nine hundred twenty-eight.
11:9
וְיוֹאֵ֥ל בֶּן־זִכְרִ֖י פָּקִ֣יד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וִיהוּדָ֧ה בֶן־הַסְּנוּאָ֛ה עַל־הָעִ֖יר מִשְׁנֶֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ Ιωηλ υἱὸς Ζεχρι ἐπίσκοπος ἐπ’ αὐτούς καὶ Ιουδας υἱὸς Ασανα ἐπὶ τῆς πόλεως δεύτερος
et Joël filius Zechri praepositus eorum, et Judas filius Senua super civitatem secundus.
Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.
11:10
מִן־הַֽכֹּהֲנִ֑ים יְדַֽעְיָ֥ה בֶן־יוֹיָרִ֖יב יָכִֽין׃
ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ Ιαδια υἱὸς Ιωριβ Ιαχιν
Et de sacerdotibus, Idaia filius Joarib, Jachin,
Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,
11:11
שְׂרָיָ֨ה בֶן־חִלְקִיָּ֜ה בֶּן־מְשֻׁלָּ֣ם בֶּן־צָד֗וֹק בֶּן־מְרָיוֹת֙ בֶּן־אֲחִיט֔וּב נְגִ֖ד בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
Σαραια υἱὸς Ελκια υἱὸς Μεσουλαμ υἱὸς Σαδδουκ υἱὸς Μαριωθ υἱὸς Αϊτωβ ἀπέναντι οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ
Saraia filius Helciae, filius Mosollam, filius Sadoc, filius Meraioth, filius Achitob princeps domus Dei,
Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house,
11:12
וַאֲחֵיהֶ֗ם עֹשֵׂ֤ה הַמְּלָאכָה֙ לַבַּ֔יִת שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֖וֹת עֶשְׂרִ֣ים וּשְׁנָ֑יִם וַ֠עֲדָיָ֠ה בֶּן־יְרֹחָ֤ם בֶּן־פְּלַלְיָה֙ בֶּן־אַמְצִ֣י בֶן־זְכַרְיָ֔ה בֶּן־פַּשְׁח֖וּר בֶּן־מַלְכִּיָּֽה׃
καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ποιοῦντες τὸ ἔργον τοῦ οἴκου Αμασι υἱὸς Ζαχαρια υἱὸς Φασσουρ υἱὸς Μελχια
et fratres eorum facientes opera templi : octingenti viginti duo. Et Adaia filius Jeroham, filius Phelelia, filius Amsi, filius Zachariae, filius Pheshur, filius Melchiae,
and their brothers who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,
11:13
וְאֶחָיו֙ רָאשִׁ֣ים לְאָב֔וֹת מָאתַ֖יִם אַרְבָּעִ֣ים וּשְׁנָ֑יִם וַעֲמַשְׁסַ֧י בֶּן־עֲזַרְאֵ֛ל בֶּן־אַחְזַ֥י בֶּן־מְשִׁלֵּמ֖וֹת בֶּן־אִמֵּֽר׃
ἄρχοντες πατριῶν διακόσιοι τεσσαράκοντα δύο καὶ Αμεσσαι υἱὸς Εσδριηλ
et fratres ejus principes patrum : ducenti quadraginta duo. Et Amassai filius Azreel, filius Ahazi, filius Mosollamoth, filius Emmer,
and his brothers, chiefs of fathers’ households, two hundred forty-two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
11:14
וַאֲחֵיהֶם֙ גִּבֹּ֣רֵי חַ֔יִל מֵאָ֖ה עֶשְׂרִ֣ים וּשְׁמֹנָ֑ה וּפָקִ֣יד עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם זַבְדִּיאֵ֖ל בֶּן־הַגְּדוֹלִֽים׃ {ס}
καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δυνατοὶ παρατάξεως ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ὀκτώ καὶ ἐπίσκοπος ἐπ’ αὐτῶν Βαδιηλ
et fratres eorum potentes nimis : centum viginti octo, et praepositus eorum Zabdiel filius potentium.
and their brothers, mighty men of valor, one hundred twenty-eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.
11:15
וּמִֽן־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם שְׁמַעְיָ֧ה בֶן־חַשּׁ֛וּב בֶּן־עַזְרִיקָ֥ם בֶּן־חֲשַׁבְיָ֖ה בֶּן־בּוּנִּֽי׃
καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν Λευιτῶν Σαμαια υἱὸς Ασουβ υἱὸς Εζρι
Et de Levitis, Semeia filius Hasub, filius Azaricam, filius Hasabia, filius Boni,
Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
11:16
וְשַׁבְּתַ֨י וְיוֹזָבָ֜ד עַל־הַמְּלָאכָ֤ה הַחִֽיצֹנָה֙ לְבֵ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים מֵרָאשֵׁ֖י הַלְוִיִּֽם׃
—
et Sabathai et Jozabed, super omnia opera quae erant forinsecus in domo Dei, a principibus Levitarum.
and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of God’s house;
11:17
וּמַתַּנְיָ֣ה בֶן־מִ֠יכָ֠א בֶּן־זַבְדִּ֨י בֶן־אָסָ֜ף רֹ֗אשׁ הַתְּחִלָּה֙ יְהוֹדֶ֣ה לַתְּפִלָּ֔ה וּבַקְבֻּקְיָ֖ה מִשְׁנֶ֣ה מֵאֶחָ֑יו וְעַבְדָּא֙ בֶּן־שַׁמּ֔וּעַ בֶּן־גָּלָ֖ל בֶּן־[יְדוּתֽוּן] (ידיתון)׃
καὶ Μαθανια υἱὸς Μιχα καὶ Ωβηδ υἱὸς Σαμουι
Et Mathania filius Micha, filius Zebedei, filius Asaph, princeps ad laudandum et ad confitendum in oratione, et Becbecia secundus de fratribus ejus, et Abda filius Samua, filius Galal, filius Idithun :
and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
11:18
כׇּל־הַלְוִיִּם֙ בְּעִ֣יר הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ מָאתַ֖יִם שְׁמֹנִ֥ים וְאַרְבָּעָֽה׃ {פ}
διακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα τέσσαρες
omnes Levitae in civitate sancta ducenti octoginta quatuor.
All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.
11:19
וְהַשּֽׁוֹעֲרִים֙ עַקּ֣וּב טַלְמ֔וֹן וַאֲחֵיהֶ֖ם הַשֹּׁמְרִ֣ים בַּשְּׁעָרִ֑ים מֵאָ֖ה שִׁבְעִ֥ים וּשְׁנָֽיִם׃
καὶ οἱ πυλωροὶ Ακουβ Τελαμιν καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἑκατὸν ἑβδομήκοντα δύο
Et janitores, Accub, Telmon, et fratres eorum, qui custodiebant ostia : centum septuaginta duo.
Moreover the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were one hundred seventy-two.
11:20
וּשְׁאָ֨ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים הַלְוִיִּם֙ בְּכׇל־עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה אִ֖ישׁ בְּנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃
—
Et reliqui ex Israël sacerdotes et Levitae in universis civitatibus Juda, unusquisque in possessione sua.
The residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites were in all the cities of Judah, everyone in his inheritance.
11:21
וְהַנְּתִינִ֖ים יֹשְׁבִ֣ים בָּעֹ֑פֶל וְצִיחָ֥א וְגִשְׁפָּ֖א עַל־הַנְּתִינִֽים׃ {פ}
—
Et Nathinaei, qui habitabant in Ophel, et Siaha, et Gaspha de Nathinaeis.
But the temple servants lived in Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the temple servants.
11:22
וּפְקִ֤יד הַלְוִיִּם֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם עֻזִּ֤י בֶן־בָּנִי֙ בֶּן־חֲשַׁבְיָ֔ה בֶּן־מַתַּנְיָ֖ה בֶּן־מִיכָ֑א מִבְּנֵ֤י אָסָף֙ הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים לְנֶ֖גֶד מְלֶ֥אכֶת בֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
καὶ ἐπίσκοπος Λευιτῶν υἱὸς Βανι Οζι υἱὸς Ασαβια υἱὸς Μιχα ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ασαφ τῶν ᾀδόντων ἀπέναντι ἔργου οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ
Et episcopus Levitarum in Jerusalem, Azzi filius Bani, filius Hasabiae, filius Mathaniae, filius Michae. De filiis Asaph, cantores in ministerio domus Dei.
The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers responsible for the service of God’s house.
11:23
כִּֽי־מִצְוַ֥ת הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וַאֲמָנָ֥ה עַל־הַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים דְּבַר־י֥וֹם בְּיוֹמֽוֹ׃
ὅτι ἐντολὴ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐπ’ αὐτούς
Praeceptum quippe regis super eos erat, et ordo in cantoribus per dies singulos,
For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
11:24
וּפְתַֽחְיָ֨ה בֶן־מְשֵֽׁיזַבְאֵ֜ל מִבְּנֵי־זֶ֤רַח בֶּן־יְהוּדָה֙ לְיַ֣ד הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ לְכׇל־דָּבָ֖ר לָעָֽם׃
καὶ Παθαια υἱὸς Βασηζα πρὸς χεῖρα τοῦ βασιλέως εἰς πᾶν ῥῆμα τῷ λαῷ
et Phathahia filius Mesezebel, de filiis Zara filii Juda in manu regis, juxta omne verbum populi,
Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
11:25
וְאֶל־הַחֲצֵרִ֖ים בִּשְׂדֹתָ֑ם מִבְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה יָֽשְׁב֞וּ בְּקִרְיַ֤ת הָֽאַרְבַּע֙ וּבְנֹתֶ֔יהָ וּבְדִיבֹן֙ וּבְנֹתֶ֔יהָ וּבִֽיקַּבְצְאֵ֖ל וַחֲצֵרֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ πρὸς τὰς ἐπαύλεις ἐν ἀγρῷ αὐτῶν καὶ ἀπὸ υἱῶν Ιουδα ἐκάθισαν ἐν Καριαθαρβοκ
et in domibus per omnes regiones eorum. De filiis Juda habitaverunt in Cariatharbe et in filiabus ejus : et in Dibon, et in filiabus ejus : et in Cabseel, et in viculis ejus :
As for the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, in Dibon and its towns, in Jekabzeel and its villages,
11:26
וּבְיֵשׁ֥וּעַ וּבְמֹלָדָ֖ה וּבְבֵ֥ית פָּֽלֶט׃
καὶ ἐν Ιησου
et in Jesue, et in Molada, et in Bethphaleth,
in Jeshua, in Moladah, Beth Pelet,
11:27
וּבַחֲצַ֥ר שׁוּעָ֛ל וּבִבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע וּבְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ ἐν Βεηρσαβεε
et in Hasersual, et in Bersabee, et in filiabus ejus,
in Hazar Shual, in Beersheba and its towns,
11:28
וּבְצִֽקְלַ֥ג וּבִמְכֹנָ֖ה וּבִבְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃
—
et in Siceleg, et in Mochona, et in filiabus ejus,
in Ziklag, in Meconah and in its towns,
11:29
וּבְעֵ֥ין רִמּ֛וֹן וּבְצׇרְעָ֖ה וּבְיַרְמֽוּת׃
—
et in Remmon, et in Saraa, et in Jerimuth,
in En Rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth,
11:30
זָנֹ֤חַ עֲדֻלָּם֙ וְחַצְרֵיהֶ֔ם לָכִישׁ֙ וּשְׂדֹתֶ֔יהָ עֲזֵקָ֖ה וּבְנֹתֶ֑יהָ וַיַּחֲנ֥וּ מִבְּאֵֽר־שֶׁ֖בַע עַד־גֵּ֥יא הִנֹּֽם׃
καὶ ἐπαύλεις αὐτῶν Λαχις καὶ ἀγροὶ αὐτῆς καὶ παρενεβάλοσαν ἐν Βεηρσαβεε
Zanoa, Odollam, et in villis earum, Lachis et regionibus ejus, et Azeca, et filiabus ejus. Et manserunt in Bersabee usque ad vallem Ennom.
Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.
11:31
וּבְנֵ֥י בִנְיָמִ֖ן מִגָּ֑בַע מִכְמָ֣שׂ וְעַיָּ֔ה וּבֵֽית־אֵ֖ל וּבְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν ἀπὸ Γαβα Μαχαμας
Filii autem Benjamin, a Geba, Mechmas, et Hai, et Bethel, et filiabus ejus
The children of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns,
11:32
עֲנָת֥וֹת נֹ֖ב עֲנָֽנְיָֽה׃
—
Anathoth, Nob, Anania,
at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
11:33
