24:1
ἡ σοφία αἰνέσει ψυχὴν αὐτῆς καὶ ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ αὐτῆς καυχήσεται
Sapientia laudabit animam suam, et in Deo honorabitur, et in medio populi sui gloriabitur,
ጥበብ፡ ትዌድስ፡ ነፍሳ፡ ወትትሜካሕ፡ በማእከለ፡ ሕዝባ።
Wisdom will praise herself, And will glory in the midst of her people.
24:2
ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ ὑψίστου στόμα αὐτῆς ἀνοίξει καὶ ἔναντι δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ καυχήσεται
et in ecclesiis Altissimi aperiet os suum, et in conspectu virtutis illius gloriabitur,
ውስተ፡ ማኅበረ፡ ልዑል፡ ትከሥት፡ አፉሃ፡ ወትትሜካሕ፡ በቅድመ፡ ኀይሉ።
In the congregation of the Most High will she open her mouth, And glory in the presence of his power.
24:3
ἐγὼ ἀπὸ στόματος ὑψίστου ἐξῆλθον καὶ ὡς ὁμίχλη κατεκάλυψα γῆν
et in medio populi sui exaltabitur, et in plenitudine sancta admirabitur,
አንሰ፡ እምአፉሁ፡ ለልዑል፡ ወፃእኩ፡ ወከመ፡ ጊሜ፡ ከደንክዋ፡ ለምድር።
I came forth from the mouth of the Most High, And covered the earth as a mist.
24:4
ἐγὼ ἐν ὑψηλοῖς κατεσκήνωσα καὶ ὁ θρόνος μου ἐν στύλῳ νεφέλης
et in multitudine electorum habebit laudem, et inter benedictos benedicetur, dicens :
አንሰ፡ ውስተ፡ ሰማያት፡ ኀደርኩ፡ ወመንበርየኒ፡ ውስተ፡ ዐምደ፡ ደመና።
I lived in high places, And my throne is in the pillar of the cloud.
24:5
γῦρον οὐρανοῦ ἐκύκλωσα μόνη καὶ ἐν βάθει ἀβύσσων περιεπάτησα
Ego ex ore Altissimi prodivi, primogenita ante omnem creaturam.
ወዖድኩ፡ ባሕቲትየ፡ አጽናፈ፡ ሰማይ፡ ወአንሶሰውኩ፡ ውስተ፡ ዕሙቅ፡ ቀላይ።
Alone I compassed the circuit of heaven, And walked in the depth of the abyss.
24:6
ἐν κύμασιν θαλάσσης καὶ ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ καὶ ἐν παντὶ λαῷ καὶ ἔθνει ἐκτησάμην
Ego feci in cælis ut oriretur lumen indeficiens, et sicut nebula texi omnem terram.
ወመልዕልተ፡ ማዕበለ፡ ባሕርኒ፡ ወውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምድር፡ ወአጥረይኩ፡ በውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወበውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ሕዝብ።
In the waves of the sea, and in all the earth, And in every people and nation, I got a possession.
24:7
μετὰ τούτων πάντων ἀνάπαυσιν ἐζήτησα καὶ ἐν κληρονομίᾳ τίνος αὐλισθήσομαι
Ego in altissimis habitavi, et thronus meus in columna nubis.
ወእምድኅረዝ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዕረፍተ፡ ኀሠሥኩ፡ ውስተ፡ ርስተ፡ መኑ፡ እንከ፡ አኀድር።
With all these I sought rest; And in whose inheritance shall I lodge?
24:8
τότε ἐνετείλατό μοι ὁ κτίστης ἁπάντων καὶ ὁ κτίσας με κατέπαυσεν τὴν σκηνήν μου καὶ εἶπεν ἐν Ιακωβ κατασκήνωσον καὶ ἐν Ισραηλ κατακληρονομήθητι
Gyrum cæli circuivi sola, et profundum abyssi penetravi : in fluctibus maris ambulavi.
ወእምዝ፡ አዘዘኒ፡ ፈጣሬ፡ ኵሉ፡ ወአዕረፈ፡ ሊተ፡ ፈጣሪየ፡ መንበርየ፡ ወይቤለኒ፡ ኀበ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ኅድሪ፡ ወበውስተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ተዋረሲ።
Then the Creator of all things gave me a commandment; And he that created me made my tabernacle to rest, And said, Let your tabernacle be in Jacob, And your inheritance in Israel.
24:9
πρὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς ἔκτισέν με καὶ ἕως αἰῶνος οὐ μὴ ἐκλίπω
Et in omni terra steti : et in omni populo,
እምቅድመ፡ ይትፈጠር፡ ዓለም፡ ፈጠረኒ፡ ወኢይጠፍእ፡ ለዝሉፉ፡ ወለዓለመ፡ ዓለም።
He created me from the beginning before the world; And to the end I will not fail.
24:10
ἐν σκηνῇ ἁγίᾳ ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἐλειτούργησα καὶ οὕτως ἐν Σιων ἐστηρίχθην
et in omni gente primatum habui :
ወተልእኩ፡ በውስተ፡ ደብተራሁ፡ ቅዱስ፡ በቅድሜሁ፡ በውስተ፡ ጽዮን፡ አስመኩ።
In the holy tabernacle I ministered before him; And so was I established in Sion.
24:11
ἐν πόλει ἠγαπημένῃ ὁμοίως με κατέπαυσεν καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ἡ ἐξουσία μου
et omnium excellentium et humilium corda virtute calcavi. Et in his omnibus requiem quæsivi, et in hæreditate Domini morabor.
ወከማሁ፡ ውስተ፡ ሀገር፡ ቅድስት፡ አዕረፍኩ፡ ወበኢየሩሳሌም፡ ምኵናንየ፡ ኀበ፡ አኰነነኒ።
In the beloved city likewise he gave me rest; And in Jerusalem was my authority.
24:12
καὶ ἐρρίζωσα ἐν λαῷ δεδοξασμένῳ ἐν μερίδι κυρίου κληρονομίας αὐτοῦ
Tunc præcepit, et dixit mihi Creator omnium : et qui creavit me, requievit in tabernaculo meo.
ወአብቈልኩ፡ ሥርው፡ በውስተ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ክቡር፡ በውስተ፡ መክፈልተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወበውስተ፡ ርስቱ።
And I took root in a people that was glorified, Even in the portion of the Lord’s own inheritance.
24:13
ὡς κέδρος ἀνυψώθην ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ καὶ ὡς κυπάρισσος ἐν ὄρεσιν Αερμων
Et dixit mihi : In Jacob inhabita, et in Israël hæreditare, et in electis meis mitte radices.
ከመ፡ ዕፀ፡ ቄድሮስ፡ በውስተ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ተለዐልኩ፡ ወከመ፡ ዕፀ፡ ቄድሮስ፡ በውስተ፡ አድባረ፡ ኤርሞን።
I was exalted like a cedar in Libanus, And as a cypress tree on the mountains of Hermon.
24:14
ὡς φοῖνιξ ἀνυψώθην ἐν Αιγγαδοις καὶ ὡς φυτὰ ῥόδου ἐν Ιεριχω ὡς ἐλαία εὐπρεπὴς ἐν πεδίῳ καὶ ἀνυψώθην ὡς πλάτανος
Ab initio et ante sæcula creata sum, et usque ad futurum sæculum non desinam : et in habitatione sancta coram ipso ministravi.
ወኖኅኩ፡ ከመ፡ በቀልት፡ ኀበ፡ ድንጋገ፡ ማይ፡ ወከመ፡ ጽጌ፡ ረዳ፡ ዘውስተ፡ ኢያሪኮ፡ ወከመ፡ ዕፀ፡ ዘይት፡ ሠናይት፡ ዘውስተ፡ ገዳም፡ ወዐበይኩ፡ ከመ፡ ጵላጣኖስ።
I was exalted like a palm tree on the sea shore, And as rose plants in Jericho, And as a fair olive tree in the plain; And I was exalted as a plane tree.
24:15
ὡς κιννάμωμον καὶ ἀσπάλαθος ἀρωμάτων δέδωκα ὀσμὴν καὶ ὡς σμύρνα ἐκλεκτὴ διέδωκα εὐωδίαν ὡς χαλβάνη καὶ ὄνυξ καὶ στακτὴ καὶ ὡς λιβάνου ἀτμὶς ἐν σκηνῇ
Et sic in Sion firmata sum, et in civitate sanctificata similiter requievi, et in Jerusalem potestas mea.
ወጥዕመ፡ መዐዛየ፡ ከመ፡ ቀናንሞስ፡ ወከመ፡ አስጳዳቶስ፡ ወከመ፡ መዐዛ፡ ዕፍረት፡ ቅድው፡ ኮነ፡ መዐዛየ፡ ወከመ፡ ከልበኔ፡ ወከመ፡ እንክስ፡ ወከመ፡ ስጠቄጤ፡ ወከመ፡ ጢሰ፡ ስኂን፡ በውስተ፡ ደብተራ።
As cinnamon and aspalathus, I have given a scent of perfumes; And as choice myrrh, I spread abroad a pleasant odour; As galbanum, and onyx, and stacte, And as the fume of frankincense in the tabernacle.
24:16
ἐγὼ ὡς τερέμινθος ἐξέτεινα κλάδους μου καὶ οἱ κλάδοι μου κλάδοι δόξης καὶ χάριτος
Et radicavi in populo honorificato, et in parte Dei mei hæreditas illius, et in plenitudine sanctorum detentio mea.
ወኖኀ፡ አዕጹቅየ፡ ከመ፡ ዕፀ፡ ጤርባንቶስ፡ ወአዕጹቅየኒ፡ አዕጹቀ፡ ክብር፡ ወስብሐት።
As the terebinth I stretched out my branches; And my branches are branches of glory and grace.
24:17
ἐγὼ ὡς ἄμπελος ἐβλάστησα χάριν καὶ τὰ ἄνθη μου καρπὸς δόξης καὶ πλούτου
Quasi cedrus exaltata sum in Libano, et quasi cypressus in monte Sion :
አንሰ፡ ከመ፡ ዐጸደ፡ ወይን፡ ሠረጽኩ፡ ሞገሰ፡ ወጽጌየኒ፡ ፍሬ፡ ክብር፡(ወስብሐት፡)፡ ወብዕል።
As the vine I put forth grace; And my flowers are the fruit of glory and riches.
24:18—
quasi palma exaltata sum in Cades, et quasi plantatio rosæ in Jericho :

I was exalted like a palm tree in Cades, and like a rose plant in Jericho;
24:19
προσέλθετε πρός με οἱ ἐπιθυμοῦντές μου καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν γενημάτων μου ἐμπλήσθητε
quasi oliva speciosa in campis, et quasi platanus exaltata sum juxta aquam in plateis.
ንዑ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ኵልክሙ፡ እለ፡ ትፈቅዱኒ፡ ወትጸግቡ፡ እምነ፡ ቀምሕየ።
Come to me, you⌃ that are desirous of me, And be you⌃ filled with my produce.
24:20
τὸ γὰρ μνημόσυνόν μου ὑπὲρ τὸ μέλι γλυκύ καὶ ἡ κληρονομία μου ὑπὲρ μέλιτος κηρίον
Sicut cinnamomum et balsamum aromatizans odorem dedi ; quasi myrrha electa dedi suavitatem odoris :
እስመ፡ ይጥዕም፡ እምነ፡ መዓር፡ ዝክርየ፡ ወእምነ፡ ሶከር፡ ርስትየ።
For my memorial is sweeter than honey, And my inheritance than the honeycomb.
24:21
οἱ ἐσθίοντές με ἔτι πεινάσουσιν καὶ οἱ πίνοντές με ἔτι διψήσουσιν
et quasi storax, et galbanus, et ungula, et gutta, et quasi Libanus non incisus vaporavi habitationem meam, et quasi balsamum non mistum odor meus.
ወእለኒ፡ ይበልዑኒ፡ ኢይጸግቡኒ፡ ወእለኒ፡ ይሰትዩኒ፡ ኢይረውዩኒ።
They that eat me will yet be hungry; And those who drink me will yet be thirsty.
24:22
ὁ ὑπακούων μου οὐκ αἰσχυνθήσεται καὶ οἱ ἐργαζόμενοι ἐν ἐμοὶ οὐχ ἁμαρτήσουσιν
Ego quasi terebinthus extendi ramos meos, et rami mei honoris et gratiæ.
ወዘኒ፡ ይሰምዐኒ፡ ኢይትኀፈር፡ ወኢይስሕቱ፡ እለ፡ ሊተ፡ ይትቀነዩ።
He that obeys me will not be ashamed; And those who work in me will not do amiss.
24:23
ταῦτα πάντα βίβλος διαθήκης θεοῦ ὑψίστου νόμον ὃν ἐνετείλατο ἡμῖν Μωυσῆς κληρονομίαν συναγωγαῖς Ιακωβ
Ego quasi vitis fructificavi suavitatem odoris : et flores mei fructus honoris et honestatis.
ዝኵሉ፡ ነገር፡ ዘመጽሐፈ፡ ሕጉ፡ ለልዑል፡ ሕግ፡ ዘአዘዘ፡ ሙሴ፡ ወርስቶሙ፡ ለማኅበረ፡ ያዕቆብ።
All these things are the book of the covenant of the Most High God, Even the law which Moses commanded us for a heritage to the assemblies of Jacob.
24:24—
Ego mater pulchræ dilectionis, et timoris, et agnitionis, et sanctæ spei.
—
I am the mother of fair love and of fear, and of knowledge and of holy hope.
24:25
ὁ πιμπλῶν ὡς Φισων σοφίαν καὶ ὡς Τίγρις ἐν ἡμέραις νέων
In me gratia omnis viæ et veritatis : in me omnis spes vitæ et virtutis.
ዘይመልኣ፡ ከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ፊሶን፡ ለጥበብ፡ ወከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ጤግሪስ፡ በአውራኀ፡ ኔዎን።
It is he that makes wisdom abundant, as Pishon, And as Tigris in the days of new fruits;
24:26
ὁ ἀναπληρῶν ὡς Εὐφράτης σύνεσιν καὶ ὡς Ιορδάνης ἐν ἡμέραις θερισμοῦ
Transite ad me, omnes qui concupiscitis me, et a generationibus meis implemini :
ወይመልኣ፡ ከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ኤፍራጢስ፡ ለምክር፡ ወከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ዮርዳኖስ፡ በመዋዕለ፡ ማእረር።
That makes understanding full as Euphrates, And as Jordan in the days of harvest;
24:27
ὁ ἐκφαίνων ὡς φῶς παιδείαν ὡς Γηων ἐν ἡμέραις τρυγήτου
spiritus enim meus super mel dulcis, et hæreditas mea super mel et favum.
ዘይከሥታ፡ ከመ፡ ብርሃን፡ ለጥበብ፡ ወከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ግዮን፡ በመዋዕለ፡ ማእረረ፡ ቀሥም።
That makes instruction to shine forth as the light, As Gihon in the days of vintage.
24:28
οὐ συνετέλεσεν ὁ πρῶτος γνῶναι αὐτήν καὶ οὕτως ὁ ἔσχατος οὐκ ἐξιχνίασεν αὐτήν
Memoria mea in generationes sæculorum.
ቀዳማዊኒ፡ ኢፈጸመ፡ አእምሮታ፡ ወደኃራዊኒ፡ ኢረከበ፡ አሠራ።
The first man knew her not perfectly; And in like manner the last has not traced her out.
24:29
ἀπὸ γὰρ θαλάσσης ἐπληθύνθη διανόημα αὐτῆς καὶ ἡ βουλὴ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ ἀβύσσου μεγάλης
Qui edunt me, adhuc esurient, et qui bibunt me, adhuc sitient.
ይበዝኅ፡ እምነ፡ ማየ፡ ባሕር፡ ኅሊናሃ፡ ወየዐምቅ፡ እምነ፡ ማ፡ ቀላይ፡ ምክራ።
For her thoughts are filled from the sea, And her counsels from the great deep.
24:30
κἀγὼ ὡς διῶρυξ ἀπὸ ποταμοῦ καὶ ὡς ὑδραγωγὸς ἐξῆλθον εἰς παράδεισον
Qui audit me non confundetur, et qui operantur in me non peccabunt :
ወኮነኒ፡ ከመ፡ ሙሓዘ፡ ማይ፡ ዘይወጽእ፡ እምነ፡ ተከዜ፡ ወከመ፡ ምንኀር፡ ቦእኩ፡ ውስተ፡ ገነት።
And I came out as a stream from a river, And as a conduit into a garden.
24:31
εἶπα ποτιῶ μου τὸν κῆπον καὶ μεθύσω μου τὴν πρασιάν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγένετό μοι ἡ διῶρυξ εἰς ποταμόν καὶ ὁ ποταμός μου ἐγένετο εἰς θάλασσαν
qui elucidant me, vitam æternam habebunt.
ወእቤ፡ ከመ፡ እስቅያ፡ ለገነት፡ ወኣርውዮ፡ ለዐጸደ፡ ሐምልየ፡ ወኮነኒ፡ ዝክቱ፡ ሙሓዝየ፡ ከመ፡ ተከዜ፡ ወፈለግየኒ፡ ኮነኒ፡ መጠነ፡ ባሕር።
I said, I will water my garden, And will water abundantly my garden bed; And, behold, my stream became a river, And my river became a sea.
24:32
ἔτι παιδείαν ὡς ὄρθρον φωτιῶ καὶ ἐκφανῶ αὐτὰ ἕως εἰς μακράν
Hæc omnia liber vitæ, et testamentum Altissimi, et agnitio veritatis.
ወዓዲ፡ ኣበርሃ፡ ለጥበብ፡ ከመ፡ ጎሕ፡ ወአርኣያ፡ እስከ፡ ነዋኅ።
I will yet bring instruction to light as the morning, And will make these things to shine forth afar off.
24:33
ἔτι διδασκαλίαν ὡς προφητείαν ἐκχεῶ καὶ καταλείψω αὐτὴν εἰς γενεὰς αἰώνων
Legem mandavit Moyses in præceptis justitiarum, et hæreditatem domui Jacob, et Israël promissiones.
ወእሰውጣ፡ ለትምህርት፡ ከመ፡ ተንብዮ፡ ወኣነብራ፡ ለውሉደ፡ ውሉድ፡ ወለዓለመ፡ ዓለም።
I will yet pour out doctrine as prophecy, And leave it to generations of ages.
24:34
ἴδετε ὅτι οὐκ ἐμοὶ μόνῳ ἐκοπίασα ἀλλ’ ἅπασιν τοῖς ἐκζητοῦσιν αὐτήν
Posuit David, puero suo, excitare regem ex ipso fortissimum, et in throno honoris sedentem in sempiternum.
ናሁ፡ ርእዩ፡ ከመ፡ አኮ፡ ለባሕቲትየ፡ ዘጻመውኩ፡ አላ፡ ለኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ የኀሡኒ።
Behold that I have not laboured for myself only, But for all those who diligently seek her.
