1:1
እምጴጥሮስ ልኡከ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ለኅሩያን ለእለ ሀለዉ ውስተ በሐውርተ ጳንጦስ ወገላትያ ወቀጰዶቅያ ወእስያ ወቢታንያ።
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen ones who are living as foreigners in the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
耶穌基督的使徒彼得寫信給那分散在本都、加拉太、加帕多家、亞細亞、庇推尼寄居的，
1:2
ለእለ ቀደሙ አእምሮቶ ለእግዚአብሔር አብ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ከመ ይስምዑ በንዝኀተ ደሙ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሞገስ ወሰላም ይብዛኅ ለክሙ።
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
就是照父上帝的先見被揀選，藉着聖靈得成聖潔，以致順服耶穌基督，又蒙他血所灑的人。願恩惠、平安多多地加給你們。
1:3
ይትባረክ እግዚአብሔር አቡሁ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘወለደነ በብዝኀ ምሕረቱ ለተስፋ እንተ ባቲ ነሐዩ በተንሥኦቱ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እምነ ምዉታን።
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父上帝！他曾照自己的大憐憫，藉耶穌基督從死裏復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望，
1:4
ለተዋርሶ ዘኢይበሊ ወዘኢይረኵስ ወዘኢይጸመሂ ዘዕቁብ ለነ ወለክሙ በሰማያት።
to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you,
可以得着不能朽壞、不能玷污、不能衰殘、為你們存留在天上的基業。
1:5
ለእለ በኀይለ እግዚአብሔር ዕቁባን በሃይማኖት ለመድኀኒት እንተ ድሉት ከመ ታስተርኢ በደኃሪ መዋዕል።
who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
你們這因信蒙上帝能力保守的人，必能得着所預備、到末世要顯現的救恩。
1:6
ወትትፌሥሑ እስከ ለዓለም ወባሕቱ ኅዳጠ ሀለወክሙ ይእዜ ትተክዙ በዘይመጽአክሙ መከራ ዘዘዚኣሁ።
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,
因此，你們是大有喜樂；但如今，在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁，
1:7
ከመ መከራሃ ለሃይማኖትክሙ ዘይትበደር ፈድፋደ እምወርቅ ንጹሕ ዘበእሳት አመከርዎ ወትትረከቡ ሀለወክሙ በክብር ወበስብሐት ወበውዳሴ አመ ያስተርኢ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
叫你們的信心既被試驗，就比那被火試驗仍然能壞的金子更顯寶貴，可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候得着稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。
1:8
ውእቱኬ ዘታፈቅርዎ እንዘ ኢትሬእይዎ ወእስከ ይእዜ ኢርኢክምዎ ወባሕቱ ተአምኑ ቦቱ ወይእዜኒ ትትፌሥሑ በፍሥሓ እንተ አልባቲ ማኅለቅት።
whom, not having known, you love. In him, though now you don’t see him, yet believing, you rejoice greatly with joy that is unspeakable and full of glory,
你們雖然沒有見過他，卻是愛他；如今雖不得看見，卻因信他就有說不出來、滿有榮光的大喜樂；
1:9
ወትነሥኡ በፍጻሜሃ ለሃይማኖትክሙ መድኀኒተ ነፍስክሙ።
receiving the result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
並且得着你們信心的果效，就是靈魂的救恩。
1:10
ይእቲኬ መድኀኒት እንተ ኀሠሥዋ ወዖድዋ ነቢያት እለ ተነበዩ በእንተ ክብርክሙ።
Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,
論到這救恩，那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知早已詳細地尋求考察，
1:11
እንዘ የኀሥሡ ለአይ ወለማእዜ መዋዕል ዘነገረ በእንቲኣሁ በላዕሌሆሙ መንፈሱ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወአቅደመ ስምዐ ከዊነ በእንተ ዘሀለዎ ይሕምም ክርስቶስ ወበእንተ ስብሐቲሁ ዘእምድኅሬሁ።
searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them pointed to when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow them.
就是考察在他們心裏基督的靈，預先證明基督受苦難，後來得榮耀，是指着甚麼時候，並怎樣的時候。
1:12
እስመ አስተርአዮሙ ወአኮ በርእሶሙ ዘነገሩክሙ ዘንተ ዘይእዜ ንዜንወክሙ አላ አይድዑክሙ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ዘተፈነወ እምሰማይ እምኀበ ያፈትዎሙ ለመላእክት ከመ የሐውጽዎ።
To them it was revealed that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
他們得了啟示，知道他們所傳講 的一切事，不是為自己，乃是為你們。那靠着從天上差來的聖靈傳福音給你們的人，現在將這些事報給你們；天使也願意詳細察看這些事。
1:13
ወይእዜኒ ቅንቱ ሐቌ ልብክሙ ጥዩቀ ወንቁሀ ተሰፈውዋ ለእንተ ትመጽእ ለክሙ ትፍሥሕት በአስተርእዮቱ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—
所以要約束你們的心 ，謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候所帶來給你們的恩。
1:14
ከመ ውሉድ እለ ይትኤዘዙ እንዘ ኢትትመየጡ ለእንተ ቀዳሚ ጌጋይክሙ በኢያእምሮ ዘፈተውክሙ።
as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,
你們既作順命的兒女，就不要效法從前蒙昧無知的時候那放縱私慾的樣子。
1:15
ወባሕቱ በከመ ዘጸውዐክሙ ቅዱስ ውእቱ አንትሙኒ ኩኑ ቅዱሳነ በኵሉ ግዕዝክሙ።
but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior,
那召你們的既是聖潔，你們在一切所行的事上也要聖潔。
1:16
እስመ ጽሑፍ ዘይብል «ኩኑ ቅዱሳነ እስመ ቅዱስ አነ።»
because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
因為經上記着說：「你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。」
1:17
ወእመሰ ለአብ ትጼውዕዎ ለዘይኴንን ጽድቀ እንዘ ገጸ ኢይነሥእ በበ ምግባሪሁ ለለአሐዱ እንዘ ትፈርሁ በኵሉ መዋዕለ ሕይወትክሙ ወበዘአመንክሙ ሑሩ ባቲ።
If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time of your living as foreigners here in reverent fear,
你們既稱那不偏待人、按各人行為審判人的主為父，就當存敬畏的心度你們在世寄居的日子，
1:18
እንዘ ተአምሩ ከመ አኮ በዘይማስን ብሩር ወወርቅ ዘተቤዘወክሙ እምውስተ ዘኢይበቍዕ ምግባሪክሙ ዘተመጠውክሙ እምአበዊክሙ።
knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things like silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers,
知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑着能壞的金銀等物，
1:19
አላ በክቡር ደሙ ለክርስቶስ ከመ ዘበግዕ ቅድው ወንጹሕ።
but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,
乃是憑着基督的寶血，如同無瑕疵、無玷污的羔羊之血。
1:20
ዘተአምረ እምቅድመ ይትፈጠር ዓለም ወአስተርአየ በደኃሪ መዋዕል በእንቲኣነ።
who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,
基督在創世以前是預先被上帝知道的，卻在這末世才為你們顯現。
1:21
እለ በላዕለ እዴሁ አመነ በእግዚአብሔር ዘአንሥኦ እምዉታን ወስብሐተ ወሀቦ ወይእዜኒ ሃይማኖትክሙ ወተስፋክሙ ይኩን በእግዚአብሔር።
who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
你們也因着他，信那叫他從死裏復活、又給他榮耀的上帝，叫你們的信心和盼望都在於上帝。
1:22
አንጽሑ ነፍስተክሙ በትእዛዙ ለጽድቅ ወበሃይማኖትክሙ ከመ ታፍቅሩ ካልኣኒክሙ እንዘ ኢትናፍቁ በምልአ ልብክሙ ተፋቀሩ ዘበጽድቅ በበይናቲክሙ ጽፉቀ።
Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,
你們既因順從真理，潔淨了自己的心，以致愛弟兄沒有虛假，就當從心裏 彼此切實相愛。
1:23
ከመ ሰብእ እለ ተወልዱ ፍጹመ አኮ እምዘርዕ ዘይደመሰስ አላ እምዘርዕ ዘኢይጠፍእ በትእዛዙ ለእግዚአብሔር ዘሀለወ ለዝሉፉ።
having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
你們蒙了重生，不是由於能壞的種子，乃是由於不能壞的種子，是藉着上帝活潑常存的道。
1:24
እስመ ኵሉ ዘሥጋ ከመ ሣዕር ወኵሉ ክብሩ ከመ ፍሬ ሣዕር ዘእምከመ የብሰ ሣዕር ይትነገፍ ፍሬሁ።
For, “All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
因為 凡有血氣的，盡都如草； 他的美榮都像草上的花。 草必枯乾，花必凋謝；
1:25
ወቃሉሰ ለእግዚአብሔር ይነብር ለዓለም ወዝንቱ ውእቱ ቃሉ ዘነገርናክሙ።
but the Lord’s word endures forever.” This is the word of Good News which was preached to you.
惟有主的道是永存的。 所傳給你們的福音就是這道。
