1:1
ራእይ፡ ዘርእየ፡ አብድዩ። ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በእንተ፡ ኤዶምያስ፡ ሰሚዐ፡ ሰማዕኩ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወፈነወ፡ ማዕገተ፡ ላዕለ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ታንስኡ፡ ወንትነሳእ፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ ወንትቃተላ።
The vision of Obadiah. This is what the Lord Yahweh says about Edom. We have heard news from Yahweh, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, saying, “Arise, and let’s rise up against her in battle.
俄巴底亞得了耶和華的默示。 耶和華要懲罰以東 論以東說： 我從耶和華那裏聽見信息， 並有使者被差往列國去， 說：起來吧， 一同起來與以東爭戰！
1:2
ናሁ፡ ውሑድ፡ ልብከ፡ አስተዐበይከ፡ ዘይነብር፡ ስተ፡ ግበበ፡ ኰኲሕ፡ ወአንኀ፡ ቤቶ፡ ወይበል፡ በልቡ፡ መኑ፡ ያወርደኒ፡ ውስተ፡ ምድር።
Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.
我使你－以東在列國中為最小的， 被人大大藐視。
1:4
ወእመሂ፡ ሰረርከ፡ ከመ፡ ንስር፡ ወአንበርከ፡ እጎሊከ፡ ማእከለ፡ ላካዋክብት፡ እምህየ፡ አጸድፈከ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Though you mount on high as the eagle, and though your nest is set among the stars, I will bring you down from there,” says Yahweh.
你雖如大鷹高飛， 在星宿之間搭窩， 我必從那裏拉下你來。 這是耶和華說的。
1:5
እመሂ፡ ሰረቅት፡ ቦኡ፡ ላዕሌከ፡ ወእመኒ፡ ጒሕልያ፡ በሌሊት፡ አይቴኒ፡ ወረዉከ፡ እምኢሰረቁኒ፡ ዘየአክሎሙ፡ ወሶበሂ፡ ቀሳም፡ ቦኡ፡ ላዕሌከ፡ እምኢያትርፋ፡ ለከ፡ ተቅራመ።
“If thieves came to you, if robbers by night—oh, what disaster awaits you—wouldn’t they only steal until they had enough? If grape pickers came to you, wouldn’t they leave some gleaning grapes?
盜賊若來在你那裏， 或強盜夜間而來－ 你何竟被剪除－ 豈不偷竊直到夠了呢？ 摘葡萄的若來到你那裏， 豈不剩下些葡萄呢？
1:6
እፎኑ፡ ፈተንዎ፡ ለዔሳው፡ ዋናስእዎ፡ ዘየኀብዑእ።
How Esau will be ransacked! How his hidden treasures are sought out!
以掃的隱密處何竟被搜尋？ 他隱藏的寶物何竟被查出？
1:7
ወደዱከ፡ እስከ፡ ወሰንከ፡ ወተቃተሉከ፡ እደው፡ እለ፡ ተማሐሉከ፡ ወጸብኡከ፡ ስንእከ፡ ዋሞኡከ፡ ዋዓጋቱከ፡ እምታሕቴከ፡ እለ፡ ላኢይምሕኩከ።
All the men of your alliance have brought you on your way, even to the border. The men who were at peace with you have deceived you, and prevailed against you. Friends who eat your bread lay a snare under you. There is no understanding in him.”
與你結盟的都送你上路，直到交界； 與你和好的欺騙你，且勝過你； 與你一同吃飯的設下網羅陷害你； 在你心裏毫無聰明。
1:8
ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አጠፍኦሙ፡ ለጠቢባን፡ እምኤዶምያስ፡ ወእስዕር፡ ምክረ፡ እብብሔር፡ ዔሳው።
“Won’t I in that day”, says Yahweh, “destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mountain of Esau?
耶和華說：到那日， 我豈不從以東除滅智慧人？ 從以掃山除滅聰明人？
1:9
ወይደነግፁ፡ መስተቃትላኒከ፡ እለ፡ ቴማን፡ ከመ፡ ይጥፋእ፡ ሳብእ፡ እምደወለ፡ ኤሳው።
Your mighty men, Teman, will be dismayed, to the end that everyone may be cut off from the mountain of Esau by slaughter.
提幔哪， 你的勇士必驚惶， 甚至以掃山的人都被殺戮剪除。
1:10
በእንተ፡ ኃጢአተ፡ ቀትሉ፡ ዘምስለ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ እኁሁ፡ ይደፍነከ፡ ኃፍረት፡ ዋትደመሰስ፡ ለዓለመ፡ ዓለም።
For the violence done to your brother Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be cut off forever.
因你向兄弟雅各行強暴， 羞愧必遮蓋你， 你也必永遠斷絕。
1:11
እስመ፡ ተቃወምከ፡ ፍጽመ፡ አመ፡ ይፄውውዎሙ፡ ካእ፡ ሕዝብ፡ አመ፡ ኀየሉ፡ ወቦኡ፡ ፀር፡ ውስተ፡ አናቅ፡ ጺሃ፡ ወተካፈልዋ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወአንተሂ፡ ከመ፡ ለሐዱ፡ እንኔሆሙ።
In the day that you stood on the other side, in the day that strangers carried away his substance and foreigners entered into his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, even you were like one of them.
當外人擄掠雅各的財物， 外邦人進入他的城門， 為耶路撒冷拈鬮的日子， 你竟站在一旁，像與他們同夥。
1:12
ወኢምሕኮ፡ ለእኅከ፡ ይእተ፡ አሚረ፡ በዕለተ፡ ፀር፡ ዋኢተፈሳሕክ፡ ላዕለ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ይሁዳ፡ አመ፡ አጥፍእዎሙ፡ ወኢታዕቢ፡ አፋከ፡ በዕለተ፡ ምንዳቤከ።
But don’t look down on your brother in the day of his disaster, and don’t rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction. Don’t speak proudly in the day of distress.
你兄弟遭難的日子， 你不當瞪眼看着； 猶大人被滅的日子， 你不當因此歡樂； 他們遭難的日子， 你不當說狂傲的話。
1:13
ወኢቦእከ፡ አንቀጸ፡ ህዝብየ፡ አመ፡ ሐፀሮሙ፡ ወኢምሕከ፡ አንተሂ፡ ተዓይኒሆሙ፡ አመ፡ ሠረውዎሙ፡ ወኢወሰከ፡ ዲበ፡ ሠራዊቶመሙአመ፡ አህለቅሙ።
Don’t enter into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity. Don’t look down on their affliction in the day of their calamity, neither seize their wealth on the day of their calamity.
我民遭災的日子， 你不當進他們的城門； 他們遭災的日子， 你不當瞪眼看着他們受苦； 他們遭災的日子， 你不當伸手搶他們的財物；
1:14
ወኢተበቀልካሆሙ፡ ለእለ፡ አምሠጡ፡ ታጥፍኦሙ፡ ላዋኢዐገትኮሙ፡ ለእለ፡ ድኁ፡ ከመ፡ ታመንድቦሙ፡ በዕለተ፡ ተሰብሩ።
Don’t stand in the crossroads to cut off those of his who escape. Don’t deliver up those of his who remain in the day of distress.
你不當站在岔路口剪除他們中間逃脫的； 他們遭難的日子， 你不當將他們剩下的人交付仇敵。
1:15
እስመ፡ አልጸቀት፡ ዕለተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ኰሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወበከመ፡ ገበርከ፡ ከማሁ፡ ይከውን፡ ፍዳከ፡ ዘእፈድየከ፡ ዲበ፡ ርእስከ።
For the day of Yahweh is near all the nations! As you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return upon your own head.
耶和華降罰的日子臨近萬國。 你怎樣行，他也必照樣向你行； 你的報應必歸到你頭上。
1:16
ወበከመ፡ ሰተይኮ፡ በደብረ፡ መቅደስየ፡ ከማሁ፡ ይሰትዩ፡ ኲሎሙ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ዋይነ፡ ወይሰትዩ፡ ወይወርዱ፡ ወይከውኑ፡ ከመ፡ ዘኢተፈጥሩ።
For as you have drunk on my holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. Yes, they will drink, swallow down, and will be as though they had not been.
你們猶大人在我聖山怎樣喝了苦杯， 萬國也必照樣常常地喝； 且喝且咽，他們就歸於無有。
1:17
ወይከውን፡ መድኃኒተ፡ በደብረ፡ ጽዩን፡ ወይከውን፡ ቅድሱ፡ ወይወርስዎሙ፡ ቤተ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ለእለ፡ ወረስዎሙ።
But in Mount Zion, there will be those who escape, and it will be holy. The house of Jacob will possess their possessions.
在錫安山必有逃脫的人， 那山也必成聖； 雅各家必得原有的產業。
1:18
ወይከውን፡ እሳተ፡ ቤተ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ወቤተ፡ ዩሴፍ፡ ነበልባ፡ ወቤተ፡ ዔሳው፡ ብርዐ፡ ወይነድዱ፡ ዋይበልዕዎሙ፡ ወአልቦ፡ ዜተርፍ፡ በቤ፡ ዔሳው፡ እስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ነበበ።
The house of Jacob will be a fire, the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble. They will burn among them and devour them. There will not be any remaining to the house of Esau.” Indeed, Yahweh has spoken.
雅各家必成為大火； 約瑟家必為火焰； 以掃家必如碎稭； 火必將他燒着吞滅。 以掃家必無餘剩的。 這是耶和華說的。
1:19
ወይወርስዎ፡ ለሰብአ፡ ናጌብ፡ ለደብረ፡ ዔሳው፡ ወለእለ፡ ሴፌላ፡ ዘኢሎፍ፡ ወይወርስዎ፡ ለደብረ፡ እፍሬም፡ ወአሕቃላተ፡ ሳማርያ፡ ወብንያም፡ ወገለአድ፡ ወበሐውርቲሆሙ።
Those of the South will possess the mountain of Esau, and those of the lowland, the Philistines. They will possess the field of Ephraim, and the field of Samaria. Benjamin will possess Gilead.
南地的人必得以掃山； 高原的人必得非利士地， 也得以法蓮地和撒馬利亞地； 便雅憫人必得基列。
1:20
ወዛቲ፡ ቀዳሚት፡ ፍልሰቶሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ እስራኤል፡ በምድረ፡ ከናአን፡ እስከ፡ ሰራጵጣ፡ ወፍልሰተ፡ ኢየሩሳም፡ እስከ፡ ኤፍራ፡ ወይወርሱ፡ አህጉረ፡ ናጌብ።
The captives of this army of the children of Israel, who are among the Canaanites, will possess even to Zarephath; and the captives of Jerusalem, who are in Sepharad, will possess the cities of the Negev.
在迦南人中被擄的以色列眾人 必得地直到撒勒法； 在西法拉中被擄的耶路撒冷人 必得南地的城邑。
1:21
ወእለ፡ ድኀኑ፡ የዐርጉ፡ እምደብረ፡ ጽዩን፡ ከመ፡ ይትበቀልዎ፡ ለደብረ፡ ዔሳው፡ ወይከውን፡ መንግስት፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
Saviors will go up on Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, and the kingdom will be Yahweh’s.
必有拯救者上到錫安山，審判以掃山； 國度就歸耶和華了。
