1:1
Παῦλος ἀπόστολος Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ κατ’ ἐπιταγὴν θεοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν καὶ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ τῆς ἐλπίδος ἡμῶν
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
奉我們救主上帝和我們的盼望基督耶穌之命，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅
1:2
Τιμοθέῳ γνησίῳ τέκνῳ ἐν πίστει · χάρις , ἔλεος , εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς καὶ Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν .
to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
寫信給那因信主作我真兒子的提摩太。願恩惠、憐憫、平安從父上帝和我們主基督耶穌歸與你！
1:3
Καθὼς παρεκάλεσά σε προσμεῖναι ἐν Ἐφέσῳ πορευόμενος εἰς Μακεδονίαν , ἵνα παραγγείλῃς τισὶν μὴ ἑτεροδιδασκαλεῖν
As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine,
我往馬其頓去的時候，曾勸你仍住在以弗所，好囑咐那幾個人不可傳異教，
1:4
μηδὲ προσέχειν μύθοις καὶ γενεαλογίαις ἀπεράντοις , αἵτινες ἐκζητήσεις παρέχουσιν μᾶλλον ἢ οἰκονομίαν θεοῦ τὴν ἐν πίστει ·
and not to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith.
也不可聽從荒渺無憑的話語和無窮的家譜；這等事只生辯論，並不發明上帝在信上所立的章程。
1:5
τὸ δὲ τέλος τῆς παραγγελίας ἐστὶν ἀγάπη ἐκ καθαρᾶς καρδίας καὶ συνειδήσεως ἀγαθῆς καὶ πίστεως ἀνυποκρίτου ,
But the goal of this command is love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith,
但命令的總歸就是愛；這愛是從清潔的心和無虧的良心，無偽的信心生出來的。
1:6
ὧν τινες ἀστοχήσαντες ἐξετράπησαν εἰς ματαιολογίαν ,
from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned away to vain talking,
有人偏離這些，反去講虛浮的話，
1:7
θέλοντες εἶναι νομοδιδάσκαλοι , μὴ νοοῦντες μήτε ἃ λέγουσιν μήτε περὶ τίνων διαβεβαιοῦνται .
desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say nor about what they strongly affirm.
想要作教法師，卻不明白自己所講說的所論定的。
1:8
οἴδαμεν δὲ ὅτι καλὸς ὁ νόμος ἐάν τις αὐτῷ νομίμως χρῆται ,
But we know that the law is good if a person uses it lawfully,
我們知道律法原是好的，只要人用得合宜；
1:9
εἰδὼς τοῦτο , ὅτι δικαίῳ νόμος οὐ κεῖται , ἀνόμοις δὲ καὶ ἀνυποτάκτοις , ἀσεβέσι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοῖς , ἀνοσίοις καὶ Βεβήλοις , πατρολῴαις καὶ μητρολῴαις , ἀνδροφόνοις ,
as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
因為律法不是為義人設立的，乃是為不法和不服的，不虔誠和犯罪的，不聖潔和戀世俗的，弒父母和殺人的，
1:10
πόρνοις , ἀρσενοκοίταις , ἀνδραποδισταῖς , ψεύσταις , ἐπιόρκοις , καὶ εἴ τι ἕτερον τῇ ὑγιαινούσῃ διδασκαλίᾳ ἀντίκειται ,
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine,
行淫和親男色的，搶人口和說謊話的，並起假誓的，或是為別樣敵正道的事設立的。
1:11
κατὰ τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς δόξης τοῦ μακαρίου θεοῦ , ὃ ἐπιστεύθην ἐγώ .
according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
這是照着可稱頌之上帝交託我榮耀福音說的。
1:12
χάριν ἔχω τῷ ἐνδυναμώσαντί με Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν , ὅτι πιστόν με ἡγήσατο θέμενος εἰς διακονίαν ,
I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service,
我感謝那給我力量的我們主基督耶穌，因他以我有忠心，派我服事他。
1:13
τὸ πρότερον ὄντα βλάσφημον καὶ διώκτην καὶ ὑβριστήν · ἀλλὰ ἠλεήθην , ὅτι ἀγνοῶν ἐποίησα ἐν ἀπιστίᾳ ,
although I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
我從前是褻瀆上帝的，逼迫人的，侮慢人的；然而我還蒙了憐憫，因我是不信不明白的時候而做的。
1:14
ὑπερεπλεόνασεν δὲ ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μετὰ πίστεως καὶ ἀγάπης τῆς ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ .
The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
並且我主的恩是格外豐盛，使我在基督耶穌裏有信心和愛心。
1:15
πιστὸς ὁ λόγος καὶ πάσης ἀποδοχῆς ἄξιος , ὅτι Χριστὸς Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἁμαρτωλοὺς σῶσαι , ὧν πρῶτός εἰμι ἐγώ ·
The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
「基督耶穌降世，為要拯救罪人。」這話是可信的，是十分可佩服的。在罪人中我是個罪魁。
1:16
ἀλλὰ διὰ τοῦτο ἠλεήθην , ἵνα ἐν ἐμοὶ πρώτῳ ἐνδείξηται Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς τὴν ἅπασαν μακροθυμίαν , πρὸς ὑποτύπωσιν τῶν μελλόντων πιστεύειν ἐπ’ αὐτῷ εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον .
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.
然而，我蒙了憐憫，是因耶穌基督要在我這罪魁身上顯明他一切的忍耐，給後來信他得永生的人作榜樣。
1:17
τῷ δὲ βασιλεῖ τῶν αἰώνων , ἀφθάρτῳ , ἀοράτῳ , μόνῳ θεῷ , τιμὴ καὶ δόξα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων · ἀμήν .
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
但願尊貴、榮耀歸與那不能朽壞、不能看見、永世的君王、獨一的上帝，直到永永遠遠。阿們！
1:18
Ταύτην τὴν παραγγελίαν παρατίθεμαί σοι , τέκνον Τιμόθεε , κατὰ τὰς προαγούσας ἐπὶ σὲ προφητείας , ἵνα στρατεύῃ ἐν αὐταῖς τὴν καλὴν στρατείαν ,
I commit this instruction to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which were given to you before, that by them you may wage the good warfare,
我兒提摩太啊，我照從前指着你的預言，將這命令交託你，叫你因此可以打那美好的仗。
1:19
ἔχων πίστιν καὶ ἀγαθὴν συνείδησιν , ἥν τινες ἀπωσάμενοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν ἐναυάγησαν ·
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith,
常存信心和無虧的良心。有人丟棄良心，就在真道上如同船破壞了一般。
1:20
ὧν ἐστιν Ὑμέναιος καὶ Ἀλέξανδρος , οὓς παρέδωκα τῷ σατανᾷ ἵνα παιδευθῶσιν μὴ βλασφημεῖν .
of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
其中有許米乃和亞歷山大；我已經把他們交給撒但，使他們受責罰就不再謗瀆了。
