45:1

Verbum quod locutus est Jeremias propheta ad Baruch filium Neriae, cum scripsisset verba haec in libro ex ore Jeremiae, anno quarto Joakim filii Josiae regis Juda, dicens :

The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年，尼利亞的兒子巴錄將先知耶利米口中所說的話寫在書上。耶利米說：

45:2

Haec dicit Dominus Deus Israël ad te, Baruch :

“Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to you, Baruch:

「巴錄啊，耶和華－以色列的上帝說：

45:3

Dixisti : Vae misero mihi ! quoniam addidit Dominus dolorem dolori meo : laboravi in gemitu meo, et requiem non inveni.

‘You said, “Woe is me now! For Yahweh has added sorrow to my pain! I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.”’

巴錄曾說：『哀哉！耶和華將憂愁加在我的痛苦上，我因唉哼而困乏，不得安歇。』

45:4

Haec dicit Dominus : Sic dices ad eum : Ecce quos aedificavi, ego destruo, et quos plantavi, ego evello, et universam terram hanc :

“You shall tell him, Yahweh says: ‘Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

你要這樣告訴他，耶和華如此說：我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽植的，我必拔出；在全地我都如此行。

45:5

et tu quaeris tibi grandia ? noli quaerere, quia ecce ego adducam malum super omnem carnem, ait Dominus, et dabo tibi animam tuam in salutem in omnibus locis ad quaecumque perrexeris.

Do you seek great things for yourself? Don’t seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh,’ says Yahweh, ‘but I will let you escape with your life wherever you go.’”

你為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀！我必使災禍臨到凡有血氣的。但你無論往哪裏去，我必使你以自己的命為掠物。這是耶和華說的。」
