1:1
Post mortem Josue, consuluerunt filii Israël Dominum, dicentes : Quis ascendet ante nos contra Chananaeum, et erit dux belli ?
After the death of Joshua, the children of Israel asked of Yahweh, saying, “Who should go up for us first against the Canaanites, to fight against them?”
約書亞死後，以色列人求問耶和華說：「我們中間誰當首先上去攻擊迦南人，與他們爭戰？」
1:2
Dixitque Dominus : Judas ascendet : ecce tradidi terram in manus ejus.
Yahweh said, “Judah shall go up. Behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.”
耶和華說：「猶大當先上去，我已將那地交在他手中。」
1:3
Et ait Judas Simeoni fratri suo : Ascende mecum in sortem meam, et pugna contra Chananaeum, ut et ego pergam tecum in sortem tuam. Et abiit cum eo Simeon.
Judah said to Simeon his brother, “Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with you into your lot.” So Simeon went with him.
猶大對他哥哥西緬說：「請你同我到拈鬮所得之地去，好與迦南人爭戰；以後我也同你到你拈鬮所得之地去。」於是西緬與他同去。
1:4
Ascenditque Judas, et tradidit Dominus Chananaeum ac Pherezaeum in manus eorum : et percusserunt in Bezec decem millia virorum.
Judah went up, and Yahweh delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand. They struck ten thousand men in Bezek.
猶大就上去；耶和華將迦南人和比利洗人交在他們手中。他們在比色擊殺了一萬人，

Inveneruntque Adonibezec in Bezec, et pugnaverunt contra eum, ac percusserunt Chananaeum et Pherezaeum.
They found Adoni-Bezek in Bezek, and they fought against him. They struck the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
又在那裏遇見亞多尼‧比色，與他爭戰，殺敗迦南人和比利洗人。
1:6
Fugit autem Adonibezec : quem persecuti comprehenderunt, caesis summitatibus manuum ejus ac pedum.
But Adoni-Bezek fled. They pursued him, caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his big toes.
亞多尼‧比色逃跑；他們追趕，拿住他，砍斷他手腳的大拇指。
1:7
Dixitque Adonibezec : Septuaginta reges amputatis manuum ac pedum summitatibus colligebant sub mensa mea ciborum reliquias : sicut feci, ita reddidit mihi Deus. Adduxeruntque eum in Jerusalem, et ibi mortuus est.
Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their big toes cut off, scavenged under my table. As I have done, so God has done to me.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
亞多尼‧比色說：「從前有七十個王，手腳的大拇指都被我砍斷，在我桌子底下拾取零碎食物。現在上帝按着我所行的報應我了。」於是他們將亞多尼‧比色帶到耶路撒冷，他就死在那裏。
1:8
Oppugnantes ergo filii Juda Jerusalem, ceperunt eam, et percusserunt in ore gladii, tradentes cunctam incendio civitatem.
The children of Judah fought against Jerusalem, took it, struck it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.
猶大人攻打耶路撒冷，將城攻取，用刀殺了城內的人，並且放火燒城。
1:9
Et postea descendentes pugnaverunt contra Chananaeum, qui habitabat in montanis, et ad meridiem, et in campestribus.
After that, the children of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites who lived in the hill country, and in the South, and in the lowland.
後來猶大人下去，與住山地、南地，和高原的迦南人爭戰。
1:10
Pergensque Judas contra Chananaeum, qui habitabat in Hebron (cujus nomen fuit antiquitus Cariath Arbe), percussit Sesai, et Ahiman, et Tholmai :
Judah went against the Canaanites who lived in Hebron. (The name of Hebron before that was Kiriath Arba.) They struck Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai.
猶大人去攻擊住希伯崙的迦南人，殺了示篩、亞希幔、撻買。希伯崙從前名叫基列‧亞巴。
1:11
atque inde profectus abiit ad habitatores Dabir, cujus nomen vetus erat Cariath Sepher, id est, civitas litterarum.
From there he went against the inhabitants of Debir. (The name of Debir before that was Kiriath Sepher.)
他們從那裏去攻擊底壁的居民；底壁從前名叫基列‧西弗。
1:12
Dixitque Caleb : Qui percusserit Cariath Sepher, et vastaverit eam, dabo ei Axam filiam meam uxorem.
Caleb said, “I will give Achsah my daughter as wife to the man who strikes Kiriath Sepher, and takes it.”
迦勒說：「誰能攻打基列‧西弗，將城奪取，我就把我女兒押撒給他為妻。」
1:13
Cumque cepisset eam Othoniel filius Cenez frater Caleb minor, dedit ei Axam filiam suam conjugem.
Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother, took it, so he gave him Achsah his daughter as his wife.
迦勒兄弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶奪取了那城，迦勒就把女兒押撒給他為妻。
1:14
Quam pergentem in itinere monuit vir suus ut peteret a patre suo agrum. Quae cum suspirasset sedens in asino, dixit ei Caleb : Quid habes ?
When she came, she got him to ask her father for a field. She got off her donkey; and Caleb said to her, “What would you like?”
押撒過門的時候，勸丈夫向她父親求一塊田。押撒一下驢，迦勒問她說：「你要甚麼？」
1:15
At illa respondit : Da mihi benedictionem, quia terram arentem dedisti mihi : da et irriguam aquis. Dedit ergo ei Caleb irriguum superius, et irriguum inferius.
She said to him, “Give me a blessing; because you have set me in the land of the South, give me also springs of water.” Then Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
她說：「求你賜福給我，你既將我安置在南地，求你也給我水泉。」迦勒就把上泉下泉賜給她。
1:16
Filii autem Cinaei cognati Moysi ascenderunt de civitate palmarum cum filiis Juda, in desertum sortis ejus, quod est ad meridiem Arad, et habitaverunt cum eo.
The children of the Kenite, Moses’ brother-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which is in the south of Arad; and they went and lived with the people.
摩西的內兄 是基尼人，他的子孫與猶大人一同離了棕樹城，往亞拉得以南的猶大曠野去，就住在民中。
1:17
Abiit autem Judas cum Simeone fratre suo, et percusserunt simul Chananaeum qui habitabat in Sephaath, et interfecerunt eum. Vocatumque est nomen urbis, Horma, id est, anathema.
Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they struck the Canaanites who inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. The name of the city was called Hormah.
猶大和他哥哥西緬同去，擊殺了住洗法的迦南人，將城盡行毀滅，那城的名便叫何珥瑪。
1:18
Cepitque Judas Gazam cum finibus suis, et Ascalonem, atque Accaron cum terminis suis.
Also Judah took Gaza with its border, and Ashkelon with its border, and Ekron with its border.
猶大又取了迦薩和迦薩的四境，亞實基倫和亞實基倫的四境，以革倫和以革倫的四境。
1:19
Fuitque Dominus cum Juda, et montana possedit : nec potuit delere habitatores vallis, quia falcatis curribus abundabant.
Yahweh was with Judah, and drove out the inhabitants of the hill country; for he could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
耶和華與猶大同在，猶大就趕出山地的居民，只是不能趕出平原的居民，因為他們有鐵車。
1:20
Dederuntque Caleb Hebron, sicut dixerat Moyses, qui delevit ex ea tres filios Enac.
They gave Hebron to Caleb, as Moses had said, and he drove the three sons of Anak out of there.
以色列人照摩西所說的，將希伯崙給了迦勒；迦勒就從那裏趕出亞衲族的三個族長。
1:21
Jebusaeum autem habitatorem Jerusalem non deleverunt filii Benjamin : habitavitque Jebusaeus cum filiis Benjamin in Jerusalem, usque in praesentem diem.
The children of Benjamin didn’t drive out the Jebusites who inhabited Jerusalem, but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem to this day.
便雅憫人沒有趕出住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人。耶布斯人仍在耶路撒冷與便雅憫人同住，直到今日。
1:22
Domus quoque Joseph ascendit in Bethel, fuitque Dominus cum eis.
The house of Joseph also went up against Bethel, and Yahweh was with them.
約瑟家也上去攻打伯特利；耶和華與他們同在。
1:23
Nam cum obsiderent urbem, quae prius Luza vocabatur,
The house of Joseph sent to spy out Bethel. (The name of the city before that was Luz.)
約瑟家打發人去窺探伯特利（那城起先名叫路斯）。
1:24
viderunt hominem egredientem de civitate, dixeruntque ad eum : Ostende nobis introitum civitatis, et faciemus tecum misericordiam.
The watchers saw a man come out of the city, and they said to him, “Please show us the entrance into the city, and we will deal kindly with you.”
窺探的人看見一個人從城裏出來，就對他說：「求你將進城的路指示我們，我們必恩待你。」
1:25
Qui cum ostendisset eis, percusserunt urbem in ore gladii : hominem autem illum, et omnem cognationem ejus, dimiserunt.
He showed them the entrance into the city, and they struck the city with the edge of the sword; but they let the man and all his family go.
那人將進城的路指示他們，他們就用刀擊殺了城中的居民，但將那人和他全家放去。

Qui dimissus, abiit in terram Hetthim, et aedificavit ibi civitatem, vocavitque eam Luzam : quae ita appellatur usque in praesentem diem.
The man went into the land of the Hittites, built a city, and called its name Luz, which is its name to this day.
那人往赫人之地去，築了一座城，起名叫路斯。那城到如今還叫這名。
1:27
Manasses quoque non delevit Bethsan, et Thanac cum viculis suis, et habitatores Dor, et Jeblaam, et Mageddo cum viculis suis, coepitque Chananaeus habitare cum eis.
Manasseh didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its towns, nor Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
瑪拿西沒有趕出伯‧善和屬伯‧善鄉村的居民，他納和屬他納鄉村的居民，多珥和屬多珥鄉村的居民，以伯蓮和屬以伯蓮鄉村的居民，米吉多和屬米吉多鄉村的居民；迦南人卻執意住在那些地方。

Postquam autem confortatus est Israël, fecit eos tributarios, et delere noluit.
When Israel had grown strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, and didn’t utterly drive them out.
及至以色列強盛了，就使迦南人做苦工，沒有把他們全然趕出。
1:29
Ephraim etiam non interfecit Chananaeum, qui habitabat in Gazer, sed habitavit cum eo.
Ephraim didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer, but the Canaanites lived in Gezer among them.
以法蓮沒有趕出住基色的迦南人。於是迦南人仍住在基色，在以法蓮中間。
1:30
Zabulon non delevit habitatores Cetron, et Naalol : sed habitavit Chananaeus in medio ejus, factusque est ei tributarius.
Zebulun didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites lived among them, and became subject to forced labor.
西布倫沒有趕出基倫的居民和拿哈拉的居民。於是迦南人仍住在西布倫中間，成了服苦的人。
1:31
Aser quoque non delevit habitatores Accho, et Sidonis, Ahalab, et Achazib, et Helba, et Aphec, et Rohob :
Asher didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Acco, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob;
亞設沒有趕出亞柯和西頓的居民，亞黑拉和亞革悉的居民，黑巴、亞弗革與利合的居民。
1:32
habitavitque in medio Chananaei habitatoris illius terrae, nec interfecit eum.
but the Asherites lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land, for they didn’t drive them out.
於是，亞設因為沒有趕出那地的迦南人，就住在他們中間。
1:33
Nephthali quoque non delevit habitatores Bethsames, et Bethanath : et habitavit inter Chananaeum habitatorem terrae, fueruntque ei Bethsamitae et Bethanitae tributarii.
Naphtali didn’t drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth Anath; but he lived among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land. Nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and of Beth Anath became subject to forced labor.
拿弗他利沒有趕出伯‧示麥和伯‧亞納的居民，於是拿弗他利就住在那地的迦南人中間；然而伯‧示麥和伯‧亞納的居民成了服苦的人。
1:34
Arctavitque Amorrhaeus filios Dan in monte, nec dedit eis locum ut ad planiora descenderent :
The Amorites forced the children of Dan into the hill country, for they would not allow them to come down to the valley;
亞摩利人強逼但人住在山地，不容他們下到平原；

habitavitque in monte Hares, quod interpretatur testaceo, in Ajalon et Salebim. Et aggravata est manus domus Joseph, factusque est ei tributarius.
but the Amorites would dwell in Mount Heres, in Aijalon, and in Shaalbim. Yet the hand of the house of Joseph prevailed, so that they became subject to forced labor.
亞摩利人卻執意住在希烈山和亞雅崙並沙賓。然而約瑟家勝了他們，使他們成了服苦的人。
1:36
Fuit autem terminus Amorrhaei ab ascensu Scorpionis, petra, et superiora loca.
The border of the Amorites was from the ascent of Akrabbim, from the rock, and upward.
