4:1
Ex concilio urbis Romae sub Damaso papa. Dictum est : Prius agendum est de Spiritu septi- formi, qui in Christo requiescit. Spiritus sapientiae : Christus Dei virtus et Dei sapientia. Spiritus intelle- ctus : Intellectum dabo tibi, et instruam te in via, qua ingredieris. Spiritus consilii : et vocabitur nomen ejus magni consilii angelus. Spiritus virtutis, ut supra di- ctum est : Christus Dei virtus et Dei sapientia. Spiritus scientiae, propter eminentiam scientiae Jesu Christi, ut ait Apostolus. Spiritus veritatis : Ego vita, et ve- ritas. Spiritus timoris : Initium sapientiae timor Do- mini. Multiformis autem nominum Christi dispensatio est. Dominus, quia Christus;
From the council of the city of Rome under Pope Damasus. It was said: First we must treat of the sevenfold Spirit who rests upon Christ. The Spirit of wisdom: Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. The Spirit of understanding: I will give you understanding and will instruct you in the way in which you shall walk. The Spirit of counsel: and his name shall be called the angel of great counsel. The Spirit of might, as was said above: Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. The Spirit of knowledge, on account of the eminence of the knowledge of Jesus Christ, as the Apostle says. The Spirit of truth: I am the life and the truth. The Spirit of fear: the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. Manifold, moreover, is the dispensation of the names of Christ. Lord, because he is Christ;
出自教宗達瑪穌治下羅馬城的會議。其中說道:我們首先要論那安息於基督之上、具七重恩賜的聖神。智慧之神:基督是神的能力,神的智慧。聰明之神:我要賜你聰明,並指教你當行的道路。謀略之神:他的名要稱為大謀略的天使。能力之神,如上文所言:基督是神的能力,神的智慧。知識之神,因耶穌基督知識的卓越,正如使徒所說。真理之神:我是生命,又是真理。敬畏之神:智慧的開端是敬畏耶和華。此外,基督名號的安排是多種多樣的。稱為主,因為他是基督;

4:3
382, num. 19.
For the Holy Spirit is not the Spirit of the Father alone, nor of the Son alone, but the Spirit of the Father and of the Son; for it is written: If anyone loves the world, the spirit of the Father is not in him. Again it is written: but whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ, this one is not his. Therefore, when the Father and the Son are named, the Holy Spirit is understood: of whom the Son himself in the Gospel says: that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father, and he shall receive of mine and shall announce it to you. From Baronius, on the year 382, number 19.
After all these prophetic, evangelical, and apostolic Scriptures which we have set forth above, on which the catholic Church is founded by the grace of God, we have thought it should also be made known that, although the catholic Church is spread throughout the world as a single bridal chamber of Christ, the holy Roman Church has nevertheless been set before the other Churches by no synodal decrees, but obtained the primacy by the evangelical voice of our Lord and Saviour: You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; and to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind upon earth shall be bound also in heaven:
4:5
and whatever you loose upon earth shall be loosed also in heaven. There was added too the fellowship of the most blessed apostle Paul, the vessel of election, who not at a different time, as the heretics chatter, but at one and the same time, on one and the very same day, contending in glorious death together with Peter in the city of Rome under Caesar Nero, was crowned; and equally they consecrated the aforesaid Roman Church to Christ the Lord, and by their presence and venerable triumph set it before all the others in the whole world. The Roman Church is therefore the first see of the apostle Peter, having no stain nor wrinkle nor anything of the kind. The second see, however, is at Alexandria, consecrated in the name of the blessed Peter by Mark his disciple and evangelist;
凡你在地上所釋放的,在天上也要被釋放。此外還加上了至蒙福的使徒保羅——那揀選的器皿——的同夥,他並非如異端所喋喋妄言在不同的時間,乃是在同一個時間、在同一日,在羅馬城、於凱撒尼祿治下與伯多祿一同在光榮的死亡中爭戰,得了冠冕;他們同樣將上述的羅馬教會獻給主基督,並以其同在與可敬的凱旋,使它居於全世界其餘一切教會之上。所以羅馬教會是使徒伯多祿的首要座位,沒有玷污、沒有皺紋,也沒有任何這類的東西。然而第二座位在亞歷山大,是以至蒙福之伯多祿的名,由他的門徒兼福音書作者馬可所祝聖的;
4:6
ipseque in AEgyptum directus a Petro apostolo, verbum veritatis praedicavit, et gloriosum consummavit martyrium.
and he himself, sent into Egypt by the apostle Peter, preached the word of truth and accomplished a glorious martyrdom. The third see, moreover, is at Antioch, of his most blessed apostle Peter, which is held honourable for this reason: that he dwelt there first before he had come to Rome, and there for the first time the name of Christians, of the new people, took its beginning. Thus far Gelasius too. The Quesnellian codex has, besides, something concerning the see of Jerusalem and of Ephesus.
