3:1
ወስኢነነ ተዐግሦ አብደርነ ንንበር አቴና አሐተኔ ባሕቲተነ።
我們既不能再忍，就願意獨自等在雅典，
Therefore when we couldn’t stand it any longer, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone,
3:2
ወፈነውናሁ ለጢሞቴዎስ እኁነ ላእከ እግዚአብሔር ወረድኤትነ በትምህርተ ክርስቶስ ከመ ያጽንዕክሙ ወያስተብቍዕክሙ በእንተ ሃይማኖትክሙ።
打發我們的兄弟在基督福音上作上帝執事的 提摩太前去，堅固你們，並在你們所信的道上勸慰你們，
and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,
3:3
ከመ ኢታንቀልቅሉ ወኢይቅብጽ አሐዱሂ እምውስቴትክሙ በዛቲ ሕማምክሙ ተአምሩ ለሊክሙ ከመ ዝንቱ ዳእሙ ይጸንሐነ።
免得有人被諸般患難搖動。因為你們自己知道，我們受患難原是命定的。
that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.
3:4
ወአመ ሀሎኩ ኀቤክሙ ዘንተ ክመ አቅደምኩ ወነገርኩክሙ ከመ ሀለወነ ንሕምም ወይሣቅዩነ ወበከመ አመርናክሙ ኮነ ውእቱ።
我們在你們那裏的時候，預先告訴你們，我們必受患難，以後果然應驗了，你們也知道。
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
3:5
ወበእንተዝ አነሂ ስኢንየ ተዐግሦ ፈነውኩ ጢሞቴዎስሃ ከመ አእምር ሃይማኖተክሙ እመቦ ከመ አመከረክሙ ዘያሜክር ወለከንቱ ይከውን ጻማነ ዘበእንቲኣክሙ።
為此，我既不能再忍，就打發人去，要曉得你們的信心如何，恐怕那誘惑人的到底誘惑了你們，叫我們的勞苦歸於徒然。
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
3:6
ወይእዜሰ እምአመ በጽሐ ጢሞቴዎስ ኀቤነ እምኀቤክሙ ወዜነወነ ሃይማኖተክሙ ወተፋቅሮተክሙ ወከመሂ ትዜከሩነ በሠናይ ዘልፈ ወትፈትዉ ትርአዩነ በከመ ንፈቱ ንሕነሂ ርእዮተክሙ።
但提摩太剛才從你們那裏回來，將你們信心和愛心的好消息報給我們，又說你們常常記念我們，切切地想見我們，如同我們想見你們一樣。
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
3:7
በእንተዝ ተፈሣሕነ አኀዊነ በእንተ ኵሉ ሕማምነ ወምንዳቤነ ዘበእንተ ሃይማኖትክሙ።
所以，弟兄們，我們在一切困苦患難之中，因着你們的信心就得了安慰。
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
3:8
እስመ ይእዜ ነሐዩ እምከመ አንትሙ ቆምክሙ በእግዚእነ።
你們若靠主站立得穩，我們就活了。
For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.
3:9
አየ አኰቴተ ንክል ዐስዮቶ ለእግዚአብሔር ህየንተ ኵሉ ፍሥሓነ ዘተፈሣሕነ በእንቲኣክሙ ዘእንበለ ከመ ንጸሊ ኀበ አምላክነ መዐልተ ወሌሊተ።
我們在上帝面前，因着你們甚是喜樂；為這一切喜樂，可用何等的感謝為你們報答上帝呢？
For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
3:10
ወፈድፋደሰ ንጼሊ ከመ ንርአይ ገጸክሙ ወይትፈጸም ሕጸጸ ሃይማኖትክሙ።
我們晝夜切切地祈求，要見你們的面，補滿你們信心的不足。
night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
3:11
ወእግዚአብሔር አቡነ ወእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ያርትዕ ፍኖተነ ኀቤክሙ።
願上帝－我們的父和我們的主耶穌一直引領我們到你們那裏去。
Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.
3:12
ወለክሙሂ ያብዝኅ እግዚእነ ወያፈደፍድ ተፋቅሮተክሙ በበይናቲክሙ ወምስለ ኵሉ ለለ አሐዱ አሐዱ በከመ ንሕነ ናፈቅረክሙ ለክሙ።
又願主叫你們彼此相愛的心，並愛眾人的心都能增長，充足，如同我們愛你們一樣，
May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you,
3:13
ወይጽናዕ ልብክሙ በንጽሕ ወበቅድሳት ለቅድመ እግዚአብሔር አቡነ አመ ምጽአተ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ምስለ ኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን።
好使你們當我們主耶穌同他眾聖徒來的時候，在我們父上帝面前，心裏堅固，成為聖潔，無可責備。
to the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
