1:1
እምጳውሎስ ሐዋርያሁ ለኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ በፈቃደ እግዚአብሔር ወጢሞቴዎስ እኁነ ለቅዱሳን እለ ውስተ ቈላስይስ ወምእመናን አኀዊነ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
奉上帝旨意，作基督耶穌使徒的保羅和兄弟提摩太
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
1:2
ሰላም ለክሙ ወጸጋ እግዚአብሔር አቡነ ወእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
寫信給歌羅西的聖徒，在基督裏有忠心的弟兄。願恩惠、平安從上帝我們的父歸與你們！
to the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3
ነአኵቶ ለእግዚአብሔር አቡሁ ለእግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዘልፈ በእንቲኣክሙ።
我們感謝上帝我們主耶穌基督的父，常常為你們禱告；
We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
1:4
ወንጼሊ እምአመ ሰማዕነ ሃይማኖተክሙ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወዘከመ ታፈቅርዎሙ ለኵሎሙ ቅዱሳን።
因聽見你們在基督耶穌裏的信心，並向眾聖徒的愛心，
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which you have toward all the saints,
1:5
በእንተ ተስፋክሙ ዘሥዩም ለክሙ በሰማያት ዘአቅደምክሙ ሰሚዐ በቃለ ጽድቅ ትምህርተ ወንጌል።
是為那給你們存在天上的盼望；這盼望就是你們從前在福音真理的道上所聽見的。
because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News
1:6
ዘበጽሐ ኀቤክሙ ከመ በኵሉ ዓለም ይፍረይ ወይሥመር በላዕሌክሙ እምአመ ሰማዕክሙ ወርኢክሙ ጸጋ እግዚአብሔር በጽድቅ።
這福音傳到你們那裏，也傳到普天之下，並且結果，增長，如同在你們中間，自從你們聽見福音，真知道上帝恩惠的日子一樣。
which has come to you, even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth,
1:7
ዘተመሀርክሙ በኀበ ኤጳፍራስ እኁነ ላእከ ዚኣነ ምእመን በክርስቶስ ዘይትለአክ በእንቲኣክሙ።
正如你們從我們所親愛、一同作僕人的以巴弗所學的。他為我們 作了基督忠心的執事，
even as you learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on your behalf,
1:8
ወውእቱ ነገረነ ተፋቅሮተክሙ በመንፈስ።
也把你們因聖靈所存的愛心告訴了我們。
who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
1:9
ወበእንተዝ ንሕነሂ እምአመ ሰማዕነ ዜናክሙ ኢኀደግነ ጸልዮ በእንቲኣክሙ ወስኢለ ከመ ትፈጽሙ አእምሮ ፈቃዱ ለእግዚአብሔር በኵሉ ጥበብ ወበኵሉ ምክረ መንፈስ።
因此，我們自從聽見的日子，也就為你們不住地禱告祈求，願你們在一切屬靈的智慧悟性上，滿心知道上帝的旨意；
For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don’t cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
1:10
ከመ ትሑሩ በዘይደልወክሙ ለኀበ እግዚአብሔር ወበኵሉ ታድልዉ ሎቱ በኵሉ ምግባረ ሠናይ እንዘ ትፈርዩ ወትሠምሩ በጥበበ አእምሮ እግዚአብሔር።
好叫你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，漸漸地多知道上帝；
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
1:11
ወእንዘ ትጸንዑ በኵሉ ኀይል ወበጽንዐ ስብሐቲሁ በኵሉ ትዕግሥት ወበተስፋ ወበፍሥሓ።
照他榮耀的權能，得以在各樣的力上加力，好叫你們凡事歡歡喜喜地忍耐寬容；
strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy,
1:12
አእኵትዎ ለእግዚአብሔር አብ ዘረሰየነ ድልዋነ ለመክፈልተ ርስቶሙ ለቅዱሳን በብርሃን።
又感謝父，叫我們能與眾聖徒在光明中同得基業。
giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light,
1:13
ወአድኀነነ እምኵነኔ ጽልመት ወአግብአነ ውስተ መንግሥተ ወልዱ ፍቁሩ።
他救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢，把我們遷到他愛子的國裏；
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love,
1:14
ዘቦቱ ረከብነ መድኀኒተ ወተኀድገ ለነ ኀጢአትነ።
我們在愛子裏得蒙救贖，罪過得以赦免。
in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
1:15
ዘውእቱ አምሳሊሁ ለእግዚአብሔር ዘኢያስተርኢ በኵሩ ዘላዕለ ኵሉ ተግባሩ።
愛子是那不能看見之上帝的像，是首生的，在一切被造的以先。
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
1:16
እስመ ቦቱ ኵሎ ፈጠረ ዘበሰማይኒ ወዘበምድርኒ ዘያስተርኢ ወዘኢያስተርኢ እመኒ መናብርት ወእመኒ አጋእዝት ወእመኒ መኳንንት ወእመኒ ቀደምት ኵሉ ዘኮነ በእዴሁ ወኵሉ ቦቱ ተፈጥረ።
因為萬有都是靠他造的，無論是天上的，地上的；能看見的，不能看見的；或是有位的，主治的，執政的，掌權的；一概都是藉着他造的，又是為他造的。
For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him.
1:17
ወውእቱ ህልው እምቅድመ ኵሉ ወኵሉ ቦቱ ቆመ።
他在萬有之先；萬有也靠他而立。
He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
1:18
ወውእቱ ርእሳ ለቤተ ክርስቲያን እስመ ውእቱ በኵር ቀደመ እምኵሎሙ ምዉታን ተንሥኦ ከመ ይኩን ውእቱ ርእሰ ለኵሉ።
他也是教會全體之首。他是元始，是從死裏首先復生的，使他可以在凡事上居首位。
He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.
1:19
እስመ ሠምረ ቦቱ ፍጹመ ኵሉ ይኅድር ላዕሌሁ።
因為父喜歡叫一切的豐盛在他裏面居住。
For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,
1:20
ወቦቱ ይሣሀሎ ለኵሉ ወገብረ ሰላመ በደመ መስቀሉ ለዘበሰማይ ወለዘበምድር።
既然藉着他在十字架上所流的血成就了和平，便藉着他叫萬有－無論是地上的、天上的－都與自己和好了。
and through him to reconcile all things to himself by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
1:21
ወአንትሙሂ ትካት ፀሩ ወነኪሩ በልብክሙ ወበእከየ ምግባሪክሙ።
你們從前與上帝隔絕，因着惡行，心裏與他為敵。
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,
1:22
ወይእዜሰ ተሣሀለክሙ በነፍስተ ሥጋሁ ወበሞቱ ከመ ይረሲክሙ ቅዱሳነ ወንጹሓነ ወኅሩያነ ለቅድሜሁ።
但如今他藉着基督的肉身受死，叫你們與自己和好，都成了聖潔，沒有瑕疵，無可責備，把你們引到自己面前。
yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him,
1:23
ወለእመ ጸናዕክሙ እንከ በሃይማኖት እንዘ ታጠብዑ ወኢያንቀለቅል ድደ መሠረትክሙ እምተስፋ ትምህርተ ወንጌል ዘሰማዕክሙ ከመ ተሰብከ በኵሉ ዓለም ዘመትሐተ ሰማይ ዘሎቱ ተሠየምኩ አነ ጳውሎስ ዐዋዴ ወላእከሂ።
只要你們在所信的道上恆心，根基穩固，堅定不移，不致被引動失去 福音的盼望。這福音就是你們所聽過的，也是傳與普天下萬人聽的 ，我－保羅也作了這福音的執事。
if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
1:24
ወይእዜኒ እትፌሣሕ በሕማምየ ወእፌጽም ታሕጻጸ ሕማሙ ለክርስቶስ በሥጋየ በእንተ ሥጋሁ እንተ ይእቲ ቤተ ክርስቲያኑ።
現在我為你們受苦，倒覺歡樂；並且為基督的身體，就是為教會，要在我肉身上補滿基督患難的缺欠。
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly,
1:25
እንተ ላቲ ተሠየምኩ አነ ላእከ በሥርዐተ እግዚአብሔር ዘወሀበኒ በእንቲኣክሙ።
我照上帝為你們所賜我的職分作了教會的執事，要把上帝的道理傳得全備，
of which I was made a servant according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you to fulfill the word of God,
1:26
ከመ እፈጽም ቃለ እግዚአብሔር ወምክሮ ዘኅቡእ እምቅድመ ዓለም ወዘእንበለ ይትፈጠር ሰብእ።
這道理就是歷世歷代所隱藏的奧祕；但如今向他的聖徒顯明了。
the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,
1:27
ወይእዜሰ አስተርአዮሙ ለቅዱሳኒሁ ለእለ ፈቀደ እግዚአብሔር ይክሥት ሎሙ ብዕለ ስብሐቲሁ ለዝንቱ ምክሩ በላዕለ አሕዛብ እስመ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ዘየኀድር ላዕሌክሙ ተስፋ ስብሐቲነ።
上帝願意叫他們知道，這奧祕在外邦人中有何等豐盛的榮耀，就是基督在你們心裏成了有榮耀的盼望。
to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1:28
ዘንሜህር ንሕነ ወንጼውዕ ኀቤሁ ወንጌሥጽ ኵሎ ሰብአ ወንነግር ግብሮ በኵሉ ጥበብ ከመ ይቁም ኵሉ ሰብእ ፍጹመ በሃይማኖተ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ።
我們傳揚他，是用諸般的智慧，勸戒各人，教導各人，要把各人在基督裏完完全全地引到上帝面前。
We proclaim him, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;
1:29
ዘበእንቲኣሁ እሰርሕ ወእትጋደል በከመ ረድኤቱ ዘይረድአኒ በኀይሉ።
我也為此勞苦，照着他在我裏面運用的大能盡心竭力。
for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.
