4:1
አስተብቍዐክሙ አነ ሙቁሕ በክርስቶስ ከመ ትሑሩ በዘይደልዋ ለጽዋዔክሙ ዘተጸዋዕክሙ።
我為主被囚的勸你們：既然蒙召，行事為人就當與蒙召的恩相稱。
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
4:2
እንዘ ታቴሕቱ ርእሰክሙ በኵሉ የውሀት ወትትዔገሡ ወኦሆ ትብሉ ለቢጽክሙ ወትጽሕቁ ለተፋቅሮ ወተኀብሩ።
凡事謙虛、溫柔、忍耐，用愛心互相寬容，
with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
4:3
ወትትዐቀቡ በአሐዱ መንፈስ ወበማዕሠረ ሰላም።
用和平彼此聯絡，竭力保守聖靈所賜合而為一的心。
being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4:4
ከመ ትኩኑ አሐደ ሥጋ ወአሐደ መንፈሰ በከመ ተጸዋዕክሙ ለአሐዱ ተስፋክሙ።
身體只有一個，聖靈只有一個，正如你們蒙召同有一個指望。
There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling,
4:5
አሐዱ እግዚአብሔር ወአሐቲ ሃይማኖት ወአሐቲ ጥምቀት።
一主，一信，一洗，
one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
4:6
ወአሐዱ እግዚአብሔር አብ ለኵሉ ዘላዕለ ኵሉ ወእምኔሁ ኵሉ ወውእቱ ውስተ ኵሉ።
一上帝，就是眾人的父，超乎眾人之上，貫乎眾人之中，也住在眾人之內。
one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in us all.
4:7
ወለለ አሐዱ እምኔነ ተውህበ ጸጋሁ በመስፈርተ ሀብቱ ለክርስቶስ።
我們各人蒙恩，都是照基督所量給各人的恩賜。
But to each one of us, the grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
4:8
እስመ ይቤ «ዐረገ ውስተ አርያም ፄዊወከ ፄዋ ወወሀብከ ጸጋከ ለዕጓለ እመሕያው።»
所以經上說： 他升上高天的時候，擄掠了仇敵， 將各樣的恩賜賞給人。 （
Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”
4:9
ወምንትኑ እንከ ዕርገቱ ሶበ ኢወረደ መትሕተ ምድር።
既說升上，豈不是先降在地下嗎？
Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
4:10
ዘወረደሂ ውእቱ ወዘዐርገሂ ውእቱ ወዘሀሎ መልዕልተ ሰማያት ከመ ይፈጽም ኵሎ።
那降下的，就是遠升諸天之上要充滿萬有的。）
He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
4:11
ወውእቱ ወሀበ ጸጋ ወከፈለ ወረሰየ እምሰብአ ዚኣሁ ሐዋርያተ ወእምኔሆሙ ነቢያተ ወመምህራነ ወእምኔሆሙ ኖሎተ ወእምኔሆሙ ሊቃውንተ።
他所賜的，有使徒，有先知，有傳福音的，有牧師和教師，
He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
4:12
በዘይጸንዑ ቅዱሳን ለግብረ መልእክቱ ወለሕንጻ ሥጋሁ ለክርስቶስ።
為要成全聖徒，各盡其職，建立基督的身體，
for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,
4:13
እስከ ንከውን ኵልነ አሐደ በሃይማኖት ወበአእምሮቱ ለወልደ እግዚአብሔር ወንኩን ከመ ዘአሐዱ ብእሲ ፍጹም ብጹሐ አምጣን በዐቅመ ፍጻሜሁ ለክርስቶስ።
直等到我們眾人在真道上同歸於一，認識上帝的兒子，得以長大成人，滿有基督長成的身量，
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
4:14
ከመ ኢንኩን እንከ ደቂቀ ዘይተነትን ወይትሐወስ ምስለ ኵሉ ነፋስ ኀበ ትምይንተ ትምህርተ ዕጓለ እመሕያው እለ ይትመነገኑ በጕሕልቶሙ ከመ ያስሕቱ።
使我們不再作小孩子，中了人的詭計和欺騙的法術，被一切異教之風搖動，飄來飄去，就隨從各樣的異端；
that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
4:15
አላ ንጽደቅ እንከ በተፋቅሮ ወንብዛኅ በኵሉ ዘብነ በክርስቶስ ዘውእቱ ርእስ።
惟用愛心說誠實話，凡事長進，連於元首基督，
but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,
4:16
ዘቦቱ የኀድር ኵሉ ሥጋ ወይትዋደድ በኵሉ ሥርው በበ መስፈርተ ሀብቱ ዘይትወሀብ ለለ አሐዱ መሌሊት እምነ መለያልይ በዘይልህቅ ሥጋ ወይትፌጸም ከመ ይትፈጸም ሕንጻሁ በተፋቅሮ።
全身都靠他聯絡得合式，百節各按各職，照着各體的功用彼此相助，便叫身體漸漸增長，在愛中建立自己。
from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.
4:17
ዘንተ እብል ወአሰምዕ ለእግዚአብሔር በእንቲኣክሙ ከመ ኢትሑሩ እንከ ከመ አሕዛብ እለ የሐውሩ በኅሊና ልቦሙ።
所以我說，且在主裏確實地說，你們行事不要再像外邦人存虛妄的心行事。
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
4:18
ወጽሉም ኅሊናሆሙ ወነኪራን እምሕይወተ እግዚአብሔር በእበዶሙ ወበጽላሌ ልቦሙ።
他們心地昏昧，與上帝所賜的生命隔絕了，都因自己無知，心裏剛硬；
being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.
4:19
እለ ቅቡጻን ተስፋሆሙ ወመጠዉ ርእሶሙ ለሕርትምና ወለርኵስ ወለምርዓት።
良心既然喪盡，就放縱私慾，貪行種種的污穢。
They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
4:20
ወአንትሙሰ አኮ ከማሁ ዘተመሀርክምዎ ለክርስቶስ።
你們學了基督，卻不是這樣。
But you didn’t learn Christ that way,
4:21
ወእመሰ አማን ትሰምዕዎ ወትትሜሀሩ በኀቤሁ ጽድቀ እስመ ጽድቅ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ውእቱ።
如果你們聽過他的道，領了他的教，學了他的真理，
if indeed you heard him and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
4:22
አእትቱ እምላዕሌክሙ ግዕዘክሙ ዘትካት እብል በእንተ ብሉይ ብእሲ ዘይማስን በፍትወተ ስሒት።
就要脫去你們從前行為上的舊人，這舊人是因私慾的迷惑漸漸變壞的；
that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,
4:23
ሐድሱ መንፈሰ ልብክሙ።
又要將你們的心志改換一新，
and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24
ወልበስዎ ለሐዲስ ብእሲ ዘሐደሶ እግዚአብሔር በጽድቅ ወበርትዕ ወበንጽሕ።
並且穿上新人；這新人是照着上帝的形像造的，有真理的仁義和聖潔。
and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
4:25
ወበእንተዝ ኅድግዋ ለሐሰት ወተናገሩ ጽድቀ ኵልክሙ ምስለ ቢጽክሙ እስመ አሐዱ አባል ንሕነ።
所以，你們要棄絕謊言，各人與鄰舍說實話，因為我們是互相為肢體。
Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
4:26
ተምዑ ወኢተአብሱ ወዘእንበለ ይዕርብ ፀሐይ አቍርሩ መዓተክሙ።
生氣卻不要犯罪；不可含怒到日落，
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,
4:27
ወኢተሀብዎ ፍኖተ ለሰይጣን።
也不可給魔鬼留地步。
and don’t give place to the devil.
4:28
ዘይሰርቅኒ ኢይስርቅ እንከ ለይትግበር ወይጻሙ እንከ በእደዊሁ ለሠናይ በዘይረድኦ ለነዳይ።
從前偷竊的，不要再偷；總要勞力，親手做正經事，就可有餘分給那缺少的人。
Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
4:29
ወኵሉ ነገር ሕሡም ኢይፃእ እምአፉክሙ ዘእንበለ ሠናይ በዘይትሐነጽ ትካዝክሙ ከመ ይርከቡ ሞገሰ እለ ይሰምዑክሙ።
污穢的言語一句不可出口，只要隨事說造就人的好話，叫聽見的人得益處。
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
4:30
ወኢታምዕዕዎ ለመንፈስ ቅዱስ ዘቦቱ ዐተቡክሙ አመ ድኅንክሙ።
不要叫上帝的聖靈擔憂；你們原是受了他的印記，等候得贖的日子來到。
Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
4:31
ኵሎ መሪረ ወመዓተ ወቍጥዓ ወመርገመ ወመንሱተ ወፅርፈተ አእትቱ እምላዕሌክሙ ምስለ ኵሉ እኩይ።
一切苦毒、惱恨、忿怒、嚷鬧、毀謗，並一切的惡毒 ，都當從你們中間除掉；
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.
4:32
ወኩኑ መሓርያነ ቢጽክሙ ወተጻገዉ በበይናቲክሙ በከመ ጸገወክሙ እግዚአብሔር በክርስቶስ።
並要以恩慈相待，存憐憫的心，彼此饒恕，正如上帝在基督裏饒恕了你們一樣。
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
