3:1
ወፈነዉ፡ መልእክተ፡ በቃለ፡ ሰላም።
他們就打發使者用和平的話去見他，說：
And they sent to him messengers with words of peace, saying,
3:2
እንዘ፡ ይብሉ፡ ናሁአ፡ ንሕነ፡ አግብርቲሁ፡ ለናቡከደነፆር፡ ንጉሥ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ሀለውነ፡ ቅድሜከ፡ ወረስየነ፡ በከመ፡ ፈቀድከ፡ በቅድመ፡ ገጽከ።
「看哪，我們這些大王尼布甲尼撒的僕人俯伏在你面前，求你照你眼中所看為好的待我們。
“Behold, we the servants of Nebuchadnezzar the great king lie before you. Use us as it is pleasing in your sight.
3:3
ወናሁ፡ አህጉሪነ፡ ወኵሉ፡ በሐውርቲነ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ገራውሂነ፡ ወመራዕይነ፡ ወኵሉ፡ አዕፃዳተ፡ ወፍርነ፡ ወአባግዒነ፡ ለከ፡ ቅድመ፡ ገጽከ፡ ወግበር፡ ዘፈቀድከ።
看哪，我們的村莊、我們一切的地方、一切麥田、羊羣牛羣，並我們帳棚的一切羊圈，都擺在你面前，求你照你所喜悅的使用。
Behold, our dwellings, and all our country, and all our fields of wheat, and our flocks and herds, and all the sheepfolds of our tents, lie before your face. Use them as it may please you.
3:4
ወናሁ፡ አህጉሪነ፡ ዓበይተ፡ ወእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስቴቶን፡ አግብርቲከ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ወነዓ፡ ረሲ፡ ዘከመ፡ ፈቃድከ።
看哪，連我們的城邑和住在其中的人都是你的僕人；求你來照你眼中所看為善的待他們。」
Behold, even our cities and those who dwell in them are your servants. Come and deal with them as it is good in your eyes.”
3:5
ወበጽሑ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ዕደው፡ ኀበ፡ ሆሎፎርኒስ፡ ወዜነውዎ፡ ዘንተ፡ ነገረ።
那些人就來見何樂弗尼，照這些話向他陳明。
So the men came to Holofernes, and declared to him according to these words.
3:6
ወወረደ፡ ውስተ፡ በሐውርቲሆሙ፡ ውእቱ፡ ወኃይሉ፡ ወአዕቀበ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ፡ ዓበይተ፡ ወነሥአ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ዕደወ፡ ኅሩያነ፡ እለ፡ ያስተታልዎሙ።
他和他的軍兵就下到沿海地帶，在那些高大的城邑設立守軍，又從其中選取精兵作援軍。
He came down toward the sea coast, he and his army, and set garrisons in the high cities, and took out of them chosen men for allies.
3:7
ወተቀበልዎ፡ እሙንቱኒ፡ ወኵሉ፡ በሐውርቲሆሙ፡ በአክሊላት፡ ወበማኅሌት፡ ወበመዝሙር፡ ወበከበሮ።
他們和他們四圍的全境，都用花冠、舞蹈和鼓樂迎接他。
They received him, they and all the country round about them, with garlands and dances and timbrels.
3:8
ወዖደ፡ ውስተ፡ ደወሎሙ፡ ወሠበረ፡ ምስላቲሆሙ፡ ወእዙዝ፡ ውእቱ፡ ከመ፡ ያጥፍእ፡ ኵሎ፡ አማልክተ፡ ሰብእ፡ ወያምልክዎ፡ ለናቡከደነፆር፡ ሎቱ፡ ለባሕቲቱ፡ ወኵሉ፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወኵሉ፡ በሐውርት፡ ከመ፡ ይበልዎ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
他卻拆毀他們一切的境界，砍倒他們的樹叢。原來他奉命除滅地上一切的神明，使萬民惟獨敬拜尼布甲尼撒，使各方各族都稱他為神。
He cast down all their borders, and cut down their sacred groves. It had been given to him to destroy all the gods of the land, that all the nations would worship Nebuchadnezzar only, and that all their tongues and their tribes would call upon him as god.
3:9
ወመጽአ፡ ውስተ፡ ኵሉ፡ ገጸ፡ ኤስድሬሎም፡ ዘገባይያ፡ ዘቅድመ፡ ጰርያኖስ፡ ዓቢይ፡ ዘይሁዳ።
他來到以斯德倫對面，靠近多大亞，這地正在猶大大山脊的對面。
Then he came towards Esdraelon near to Dotaea, which is opposite the great ridge of Judea.
3:10
ወሖረ፡ ማዕከለ፡ ገዳመ፡ ጤቦን፡ ወአሕጉረ፡ ሴቅቶን፡ ወነበረ፡ ህየ፡ አሐደ፡ ወርኃ፡ ያስተጋብእ፡ ስንቀ፡ ለአሕዛቢሁ።
他在基拜和西古提城之間安營，在那裡停留了整整一個月，要收集他全軍的輜重。
He encamped between Geba and Scythopolis. He was there a whole month, that he might gather together all the baggage of his army.
