1:1
Παῦλος καὶ Σιλουανὸς καὶ Τιμόθεος τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ Θεσσαλονικέων ἐν θεῷ πατρὶ καὶ κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ. χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη.
保羅、西拉、提摩太寫信給帖撒羅尼迦在父上帝和主耶穌基督裏的教會。願恩惠、平安歸與你們！
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:2
Εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ θεῷ πάντοτε περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν, μνείαν ποιούμενοι ἐπὶ τῶν προσευχῶν ἡμῶν,
我們為你們眾人常常感謝上帝，禱告的時候提到你們，
We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,
1:3
ἀδιαλείπτως μνημονεύοντες ὑμῶν τοῦ ἔργου τῆς πίστεως καὶ τοῦ κόπου τῆς ἀγάπης καὶ τῆς ὑπομονῆς τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ πατρὸς ἡμῶν,
在上帝－我們的父面前，不住地記念你們因信心所做的工夫，因愛心所受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督所存的忍耐。
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.
1:4
εἰδότες, ἀδελφοὶ ἠγαπημένοι ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ, τὴν ἐκλογὴν ὑμῶν,
被上帝所愛的弟兄啊，我知道你們是蒙揀選的；
We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
1:5
ὅτι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἡμῶν οὐκ ἐγενήθη εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν λόγῳ μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν δυνάμει καὶ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ καὶ πληροφορίᾳ πολλῇ, καθὼς οἴδατε οἷοι ἐγενήθημεν ἐν ὑμῖν δι’ ὑμᾶς.
因為我們的福音傳到你們那裏，不獨在乎言語，也在乎權能和聖靈，並充足的信心。正如你們知道，我們在你們那裏，為你們的緣故是怎樣為人。
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
1:6
καὶ ὑμεῖς μιμηταὶ ἡμῶν ἐγενήθητε καὶ τοῦ κυρίου, δεξάμενοι τὸν λόγον ἐν θλίψει πολλῇ μετὰ χαρᾶς πνεύματος ἁγίου,
並且你們在大難之中，蒙了聖靈所賜的喜樂，領受真道就效法我們，也效法了主；
You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
1:7
ὥστε γενέσθαι ὑμᾶς τύπον πᾶσιν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἀχαΐᾳ.
甚至你們作了馬其頓和亞該亞所有信主之人的榜樣。
so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
1:8
ἀφ’ ὑμῶν γὰρ ἐξήχηται ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου οὐ μόνον ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἀχαΐᾳ, ἀλλ’ ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν ἡ πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἐξελήλυθεν, ὥστε μὴ χρείαν ἔχειν ἡμᾶς λαλεῖν τι·
因為主的道從你們那裏已經傳揚出來。你們向上帝的信心不但在馬其頓和亞該亞，就是在各處也都傳開了，所以不用我們說甚麼話。
For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.
1:9
αὐτοὶ γὰρ περὶ ἡμῶν ἀπαγγέλλουσιν ὁποίαν εἴσοδον ἔσχομεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς, καὶ πῶς ἐπεστρέψατε πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἀπὸ τῶν εἰδώλων δουλεύειν θεῷ ζῶντι καὶ ἀληθινῷ,
因為他們自己已經報明我們是怎樣進到你們那裏，你們是怎樣離棄偶像，歸向上帝，要服事那又真又活的上帝，
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
1:10
καὶ ἀναμένειν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν, ὃν ἤγειρεν ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν, Ἰησοῦν τὸν ῥυόμενον ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῆς ὀργῆς τῆς ἐρχομένης.
等候他兒子從天降臨，就是他從死裏復活的－那位救我們脫離將來忿怒的耶穌。
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
