14:1
Factum est autem Iconii, ut simul introirent in synagogam Judaeorum, et loquerentur, ita ut crederet Judaeorum et Graecorum copiosa multitudo.
二人在以哥念同進猶太人的會堂,在那裏講的,叫猶太人和希臘人信的很多。
In Iconium, they entered together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of Jews and of Greeks believed.
14:2
Qui vero increduli fuerunt Judaei, suscitaverunt et ad iracundiam concitaverunt animas gentium adversus fratres.
但那不順從的猶太人聳動外邦人,叫他們心裏惱恨弟兄。
But the disbelieving Jews stirred up and embittered the souls of the Gentiles against the brothers.
14:3
Multo igitur tempore demorati sunt, fiducialiter agentes in Domino, testimonium perhibente verbo gratiae suae, dante signa et prodigia fieri per manus eorum.
二人在那裏住了多日,倚靠主放膽講道,主藉他們的手施行神蹟奇事,證明他的恩道。
Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
14:4
Divisa est autem multitudo civitatis : et quidam quidem erant cum Judaeis, quidam vero cum Apostolis.
城裏的眾人就分了黨,有附從猶太人的,有附從使徒的。
But the multitude of the city was divided. Part sided with the Jews and part with the apostles.
14:5
Cum autem factus esset impetus gentilium et Judaeorum cum principibus suis, ut contumeliis afficerent, et lapidarent eos,
那時,外邦人和猶太人,並他們的官長,一齊擁上來,要凌辱使徒,用石頭打他們。
When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,
14:6
intelligentes confugerunt ad civitates Lycaoniae Lystram et Derben, et universam in circuitu regionem, et ibi evangelizantes erant.
使徒知道了,就逃往呂高尼的路司得、特庇兩個城和周圍地方去,
they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.
14:7
Et quidam vir Lystris infirmus pedibus sedebat, claudus ex utero matris suae, qui numquam ambulaverat.
在那裏傳福音。
There they preached the Good News.
14:8
Hic audivit Paulum loquentem. Qui intuitus eum, et videns quia fidem haberet ut salvus fieret,
路司得城裏坐着一個兩腳無力的人,生來是瘸腿的,從來沒有走過。
At Lystra a certain man sat, impotent in his feet, a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked.
14:9
dixit magna voce : Surge super pedes tuos rectus. Et exilivit, et ambulabat.
他聽保羅講道,保羅定睛看他,見他有信心,可得痊癒,
He was listening to Paul speaking, who, fastening eyes on him and seeing that he had faith to be made whole,
14:10
Turbae autem cum vidissent quod fecerat Paulus, levaverunt vocem suam lycaonice, dicentes : Dii similes facti hominibus descenderunt ad nos.
就大聲說:「你起來,兩腳站直!」那人就跳起來,而且行走。
said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet!” He leaped up and walked.
14:11
Et vocabant Barnabam Jovem, Paulum vero Mercurium : quoniam ipse erat dux verbi.
眾人看見保羅所做的事,就用呂高尼的話大聲說:「有神藉着人形降臨在我們中間了。」
When the multitude saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voice, saying in the language of Lycaonia, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!”
14:12
Sacerdos quoque Jovis, qui erat ante civitatem, tauros et coronas ante januas afferens, cum populis volebat sacrificare.
於是稱巴拿巴為宙斯,稱保羅為希耳米,因為他說話領首。
They called Barnabas “Jupiter”, and Paul “Mercury”, because he was the chief speaker.
14:13
Quod ubi audierunt Apostoli, Barnabas et Paulus, conscissis tunicis suis exilierunt in turbas, clamantes
有城外宙斯廟的祭司牽着牛,拿着花圈,來到門前,要同眾人向使徒獻祭。
The priest of Jupiter, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have made a sacrifice along with the multitudes.
14:14
et dicentes : Viri, quid haec facitis ? et nos mortales sumus, similes vobis homines, annuntiantes vobis ab his vanis converti ad Deum vivum, qui fecit caelum, et terram, et mare, et omnia quae in eis sunt :
巴拿巴、保羅二使徒聽見,就撕開衣裳,跳進眾人中間,喊着說:
But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of it, they tore their clothes and sprang into the multitude, crying out,
14:15
qui in praeteritis generationibus dimisit omnes gentes ingredi vias suas.
「諸君,為甚麼做這事呢?我們也是人,性情和你們一樣。我們傳福音給你們,是叫你們離棄這些虛妄,歸向那創造天、地、海,和其中萬物的永生上帝。
“Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;
14:16
Et quidem non sine testimonio semetipsum reliquit benefaciens de caelo, dans pluvias et tempora fructifera, implens cibo et laetitia corda nostra.
他在從前的世代,任憑萬國各行其道;
who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.
14:17
Et haec dicentes, vix sedaverunt turbas ne sibi immolarent.
然而為自己未嘗不顯出證據來,就如常施恩惠,從天降雨,賞賜豐年,叫你們飲食飽足,滿心喜樂。」
Yet he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
14:18
Supervenerunt autem quidam ab Antiochia et Iconio Judaei : et persuasis turbis, lapidantesque Paulum, traxerunt extra civitatem, existimantes eum mortuum esse.
二人說了這些話,僅僅地攔住眾人不獻祭與他們。
Even saying these things, they hardly stopped the multitudes from making a sacrifice to them.
14:19
Circumdantibus autem eum discipulis, surgens intravit civitatem, et postera die profectus est cum Barnaba in Derben.
但有些猶太人從安提阿和以哥念來,挑唆眾人,就用石頭打保羅,以為他是死了,便拖到城外。
But some Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there, and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.
14:20
Cumque evangelizassent civitati illi, et docuissent multos, reversi sunt Lystram, et Iconium, et Antiochiam,
門徒正圍着他,他就起來,走進城去。 回到敘利亞的安提阿 第二天,同巴拿巴往特庇去,
But as the disciples stood around him, he rose up, and entered into the city. On the next day he went out with Barnabas to Derbe.
14:21
confirmantes animas discipulorum, exhortantesque ut permanerent in fide : et quoniam per multas tribulationes oportet nos intrare in regnum Dei.
對那城裏的人傳了福音,使好些人作門徒,就回路司得、以哥念、安提阿去,
When they had preached the Good News to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
14:22
Et cum constituissent illis per singulas ecclesias presbyteros, et orassent cum jejunationibus, commendaverunt eos Domino, in quem crediderunt.
堅固門徒的心,勸他們恆守所信的道;又說:「我們進入上帝的國,必須經歷許多艱難。」
strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.
14:23
Transeuntesque Pisidiam, venerunt in Pamphyliam,
二人在各教會中選立了長老,又禁食禱告,就把他們交託所信的主。
When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord on whom they had believed.
14:24
et loquentes verbum Domini in Perge, descenderunt in Attaliam :
二人經過彼西底,來到旁非利亞。
They passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.
14:25
et inde navigaverunt Antiochiam, unde erant traditi gratiae Dei in opus quod compleverunt.
在別加講了道,就下亞大利去,
When they had spoken the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.
14:26
Cum autem venissent, et congregassent ecclesiam, retulerunt quanta fecisset Deus cum illis, et quia aperuisset gentibus ostium fidei.
從那裏坐船,往安提阿去。當初,他們被眾人所託、蒙上帝之恩、要辦現在所做之工,就是在這地方。
From there they sailed to Antioch, from where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
14:27
Morati sunt autem tempus non modicum cum discipulis.
到了那裏,聚集了會眾,就述說上帝藉他們所行的一切事,並上帝怎樣為外邦人開了信道的門。
When they had arrived and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.
