15:1
וּבִשְׁנַת֙ שְׁמֹנֶ֣ה עֶשְׂרֵ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ יָרׇבְעָ֣ם בֶּן־נְבָ֑ט מָלַ֥ךְ אֲבִיָּ֖ם עַל־יְהוּדָֽה׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ ὀκτωκαιδεκάτῳ ἔτει βασιλεύοντος Ιεροβοαμ υἱοῦ Ναβατ βασιλεύει Αβιου υἱὸς Ροβοαμ ἐπὶ Ιουδα
Igitur in octavodecimo anno regni Jeroboam filii Nabat, regnavit Abiam super Judam.
አመ፲ወ፰ዓመት፡ እምዘ፡ ነግሠ፡ ኢዮራብዓም፡ ወልደ፡ ናባጥ፡ ወነግሠ፡ አብያ፡ ወልዱ፡ ለሮብዓም፡ ላዕለ፡ ይሁዳ።
Now in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam began to reign over Judah.
15:2
שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ מַעֲכָ֖ה בַּת־אֲבִישָׁלֽוֹם׃
καὶ ἓξ ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν καὶ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ Μααχα θυγάτηρ Αβεσσαλωμ
Tribus annis regnavit in Jerusalem : nomen matris ejus Maacha filia Abessalom.
፮ዓመተ፡ ነግሠ፡ ወስማ፡ ለእሙ፡ አውምሐክ፡ ወለተ፡ አበሴሎም።
He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
15:3
וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ בְּכׇל־חַטֹּ֥אות אָבִ֖יו אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֣ה לְפָנָ֑יו וְלֹא־הָיָ֨ה לְבָב֤וֹ שָׁלֵם֙ עִם־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהָ֔יו כִּלְבַ֖ב דָּוִ֥ד אָבִֽיו׃
καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ αἷς ἐποίησεν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ τελεία μετὰ κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτοῦ ὡς ἡ καρδία Δαυιδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ
Ambulavitque in omnibus peccatis patris sui, quae fecerat ante eum : nec erat cor ejus perfectum cum Domino Deo suo, sicut cor David patris ejus.
ወሖረ፡ በኀጢአተ፡ አቡሁ፡ ዘገብረ፡ እምቅድሜሁ፡ ወኢኮነ፡ ልቡ፡ ፍጹመ፡ በቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኩ፡ ከመ፡ ልበ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ።
He walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his God, as the heart of David his father.
15:4
כִּ֚י לְמַ֣עַן דָּוִ֔ד נָתַן֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהָ֥יו ל֛וֹ נִ֖יר בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם לְהָקִ֤ים אֶת־בְּנוֹ֙ אַחֲרָ֔יו וּֽלְהַעֲמִ֖יד אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
ὅτι διὰ Δαυιδ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ κύριος κατάλειμμα ἵνα στήσῃ τέκνα αὐτοῦ μετ’ αὐτὸν καὶ στήσῃ τὴν Ιερουσαλημ
Sed propter David dedit ei Dominus Deus suus lucernam in Jerusalem, ut suscitaret filium ejus post eum, et statueret Jerusalem :
እስሙ፡ በእንተ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ፡ ረሰየ፡ ሎቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ተረፈ፡ ከመ፡ ይቁሙ፡ ደቂቁ፡ እምድኅሬሁ፡ ወከመ፡ ያቅማ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም።
Nevertheless for David’s sake, Yahweh his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;
15:5
אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשָׂ֥ה דָוִ֛ד אֶת־הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וְלֹא־סָ֞ר מִכֹּ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֗הוּ כֹּ֚ל יְמֵ֣י חַיָּ֔יו רַ֕ק בִּדְבַ֖ר אוּרִיָּ֥ה הַֽחִתִּֽי׃
ὡς ἐποίησεν Δαυιδ τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον κυρίου οὐκ ἐξέκλινεν ἀπὸ πάντων ὧν ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ
eo quod fecisset David rectum in oculis Domini, et non declinasset ab omnibus quae praeceperat ei cunctis diebus vitae suae, excepto sermone Uriae Hethaei.
እስመ፡ ገብረ፡ ዳዊት፡ ጽድቀ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢተግሕሠ፡ እምኵሉ፡ ዘአዘዞ፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ሕይወቱ።
because David did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, and didn’t turn away from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
15:6
וּמִלְחָמָ֨ה הָיְתָ֧ה בֵין־רְחַבְעָ֛ם וּבֵ֥ין יָרׇבְעָ֖ם כׇּל־יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃
—
Attamen bellum fuit inter Roboam et Jeroboam omni tempore vitae ejus.
—
Now there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
15:7
וְיֶ֨תֶר דִּבְרֵ֤י אֲבִיָּם֙ וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה הֲלוֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה וּמִלְחָמָ֥ה הָיְתָ֛ה בֵּ֥ין אֲבִיָּ֖ם וּבֵ֥ין יָרׇבְעָֽם׃
καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων Αβιου καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γεγραμμένα ἐπὶ βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν Ιουδα καὶ πόλεμος ἦν ἀνὰ μέσον Αβιου καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Ιεροβοαμ
Reliqua autem sermonum Abiam, et omnia quae fecit, nonne haec scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Juda ? Fuitque praelium inter Abiam et inter Jeroboam.
ወዝኒ፡ ዘተረፈ፡ ነገሩ፡ ለአብዩ፡ ወኵሉ፡ ግብሩ፡ ናሁ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ዘጽሑፍ፡ ውስተ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ነቢያት፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ፡ ለነገሥተ፡ ይሁዳ ፤ ወቀትል፡ ማእከሎሙ፡ ለአብዩ፡ ወማእከለ፡ ኢዮራብዓም።
The rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? There was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
15:8
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב אֲבִיָּם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑ד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָסָ֥א בְנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Αβιου μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ εἰκοστῷ καὶ τετάρτῳ ἔτει τοῦ Ιεροβοαμ καὶ θάπτεται μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ βασιλεύει Ασα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ
Et dormivit Abiam cum patribus suis, et sepelierunt eum in civitate David, regnavitque Asa filius ejus pro eo.
ወሰከበ፡ አብዩ፡ ምስለ፡ አበዊሁ፡ አመ፡ ፳ወ፬ዓመቲሁ፡ ለኢዮርብዓም፡ ወቀበርዎ፡ ኀበ፡ አበዊሁ፡ ውስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ ዳዊት፡ ወነግሠ፡ አሳ፡ ወልዱ፡ ህየንቴሁ።
Abijam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in David’s city; and Asa his son reigned in his place.
15:9
וּבִשְׁנַ֣ת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים לְיָרׇבְעָ֖ם מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מָלַ֥ךְ אָסָ֖א מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ τῷ τετάρτῳ καὶ εἰκοστῷ τοῦ Ιεροβοαμ βασιλέως Ισραηλ βασιλεύει Ασα ἐπὶ Ιουδαν
In anno ergo vigesimo Jeroboam regis Israël regnavit Asa rex Juda,
አመ፡ ፳ወ፬ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለኢዮራብዓም፡ ንጉሠ፡ እስራኤል፡ ነግሠ፡ አሳ፡ ለይሁዳ።
In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa began to reign over Judah.
15:10
וְאַרְבָּעִ֤ים וְאַחַת֙ שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ מַעֲכָ֖ה בַּת־אֲבִישָׁלֽוֹם׃
καὶ τεσσαράκοντα καὶ ἓν ἔτος ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ Ανα θυγάτηρ Αβεσσαλωμ
et quadraginta et uno anno regnavit in Jerusalem. Nomen matris ejus Maacha filia Abessalom.
፵ወ፩ዓመተ፡ ነግሠ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወስማ፡ ለእሙ፡ ሐና፡ ወለተ፡ አበሴሎም።
He reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.
15:11
וַיַּ֧עַשׂ אָסָ֛א הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה כְּדָוִ֖ד אָבִֽיו׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν Ασα τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον κυρίου ὡς Δαυιδ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ
Et fecit Asa rectum ante conspectum Domini, sicut David pater ejus :
ወገብረ፡ አሳ፡ ጽድቀ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ከመ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ።
Asa did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, as David his father did.
15:12
וַיַּעֲבֵ֥ר הַקְּדֵשִׁ֖ים מִן־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיָּ֙סַר֙ אֶת־כׇּל־הַגִּלֻּלִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשׂ֖וּ אֲבֹתָֽיו׃
καὶ ἀφεῖλεν τὰς τελετὰς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν πάντα τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα ἃ ἐποίησαν οἱ πατέρες αὐτοῦ
et abstulit effeminatos de terra, purgavitque universas sordes idolorum quae fecerant patres ejus.
ወአሰሰለ፡ ኵሎ፡ አምሳለ፡ አማልክት፡ እምነ፡ ብሔር፡ ወሰዐረ፡ ኵሎ፡ ኦማልክተ፡ ዘገብሩ፡ አበዊሁ።
He put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
15:13
וְגַ֣ם׀ אֶת־מַעֲכָ֣ה אִמּ֗וֹ וַיְסִרֶ֙הָ֙ מִגְּבִירָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָ֥ה מִפְלֶ֖צֶת לָאֲשֵׁרָ֑ה וַיִּכְרֹ֤ת אָסָא֙ אֶת־מִפְלַצְתָּ֔הּ וַיִּשְׂרֹ֖ף בְּנַ֥חַל קִדְרֽוֹן׃
καὶ τὴν Ανα τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ μετέστησεν τοῦ μὴ εἶναι ἡγουμένην καθὼς ἐποίησεν σύνοδον ἐν τῷ ἄλσει αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξέκοψεν Ασα τὰς καταδύσεις αὐτῆς καὶ ἐνέπρησεν πυρὶ ἐν τῷ χειμάρρῳ Κεδρων
Insuper et Maacham matrem suam amovit, ne esset princeps in sacris Priapi, et in luco ejus quem consecraverat : subvertitque specum ejus, et confregit simulacrum turpissimum, et combussit in torrente Cedron :
ወሰዐራ፡ ለሐና፡ እሙ፡ እምውስተ፡ ምኵናና፡ እስመ፡ አኅበረት፡ በኵለሄ፡ ከመ፡ ያምልኩ፡ ምሕራመ፡ ዖም፡ ወአግዘሞ፡ አሳ፡ ለዖማ፡ ወአውዐዮ፡ በእሳት፡ በውስተ፡ ፈለገ፡ ቄድሮን።
He also removed Maacah his mother from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah. Asa cut down her image and burned it at the brook Kidron.
15:14
וְהַבָּמ֖וֹת לֹא־סָ֑רוּ רַ֣ק לְבַב־אָסָ֗א הָיָ֥ה שָׁלֵ֛ם עִם־יְהֹוָ֖ה כׇּל־יָמָֽיו׃ {ס}
τὰ δὲ ὑψηλὰ οὐκ ἐξῆρεν πλὴν ἡ καρδία Ασα ἦν τελεία μετὰ κυρίου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας αὐτοῦ
excelsa autem non abstulit. Verumtamen cor Asa perfectum erat cum Domino cunctis diebus suis :
ወዘሰ፡ ውስተ፡ አድባር፡ ኢያሰስለ፡ ወባሕቱ፡ ልቡ፡ ለአሳ፡ ፍጹም፡ ምስለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አምላኩ፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕሊሁ።
But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with Yahweh all his days.
15:15
וַיָּבֵא֙ אֶת־קׇדְשֵׁ֣י אָבִ֔יו (וקדשו) [וְקׇדְשֵׁ֖י] בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה כֶּ֥סֶף וְזָהָ֖ב וְכֵלִֽים׃
καὶ εἰσήνεγκεν τοὺς κίονας τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς κίονας αὐτοῦ εἰσήνεγκεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον κυρίου ἀργυροῦς καὶ χρυσοῦς καὶ σκεύη
et intulit ea quae sanctificaverat pater suus, et voverat, in domum Domini, argentum, et aurum, et vasa.
ወአብአ፡ አዕማደ፡ አቡሁ፡ ወአዕማደ፡ ዚአሁኒ፡ አብአ፡ ለቤተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘወርቅ፡ ወዘብሩር፡ ወንዋዮኒ።
He brought into Yahweh’s house the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that he himself had dedicated: silver, gold, and utensils.
15:16
וּמִלְחָמָ֨ה הָיְתָ֜ה בֵּ֣ין אָסָ֗א וּבֵ֛ין בַּעְשָׁ֥א מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כׇּל־יְמֵיהֶֽם׃
καὶ πόλεμος ἦν ἀνὰ μέσον Ασα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Βαασα βασιλέως Ισραηλ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας
Bellum autem erat inter Asa, et Baasa regem Israël cunctis diebus eorum.
ወነበሩ፡ እንዘ፡ ይትቃተሉ፡ አሳ፡ ወበአስ፡ ንጉሠ፡ እስራኤል፡ በኵሉ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ።
There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
15:17
וַיַּ֨עַל בַּעְשָׁ֤א מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ עַל־יְהוּדָ֔ה וַיִּ֖בֶן אֶת־הָרָמָ֑ה לְבִלְתִּ֗י תֵּ֚ת יֹצֵ֣א וָבָ֔א לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָֽה׃
καὶ ἀνέβη Βαασα βασιλεὺς Ισραηλ ἐπὶ Ιουδαν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Ραμα τοῦ μὴ εἶναι ἐκπορευόμενον καὶ εἰσπορευόμενον τῷ Ασα βασιλεῖ Ιουδα
Ascendit quoque Baasa rex Israël in Judam, et aedificavit Rama, ut non posset quispiam egredi vel ingredi de parte Asa regis Juda.
ወዐርገ፡ ባእስ፡ ንጉሠ፡ እስራኤል፡ ውስተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወሐነጻ፡ ለራማ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይርክብ፡ ሙባአ፡ ወሙፃአ፡ አሳ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ እንተ፡ ህየ።
Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not allow anyone to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
15:18
וַיִּקַּ֣ח אָ֠סָ֠א אֶת־כׇּל־הַכֶּ֨סֶף וְהַזָּהָ֜ב הַנּוֹתָרִ֣ים׀ בְּאוֹצְר֣וֹת בֵּית־יְהֹוָ֗ה וְאֶת־אֽוֹצְרוֹת֙ בֵּ֣ית (מלך) [הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ] וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖ם בְּיַד־עֲבָדָ֑יו וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֞ם הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָסָ֗א אֶל־בֶּן־הֲ֠דַ֠ד בֶּן־טַבְרִמֹּ֤ן בֶּן־חֶזְיוֹן֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ אֲרָ֔ם הַיֹּשֵׁ֥ב בְּדַמֶּ֖שֶׂק לֵאמֹֽר׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Ασα τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ τὸ χρυσίον τὸ εὑρεθὲν ἐν τοῖς θησαυροῖς τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὰ εἰς χεῖρας παίδων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς ὁ βασιλεὺς Ασα πρὸς υἱὸν Αδερ υἱὸν Ταβερεμμαν υἱοῦ Αζιν βασιλέως Συρίας τοῦ κατοικοῦντος ἐν Δαμασκῷ λέγων
Tollens itaque Asa omne argentum et aurum quod remanserat in thesauris domus Domini, et in thesauris domus regiae, et dedit illud in manus servorum suorum : et misit ad Benadad filium Tabremon filii Hezion, regem Syriae, qui habitabat in Damasco, dicens :
ወነሥአ፡ አሳ፡ ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ፡ ዘተረክበ፡ ውስተ፡ መዛግብተ፡ ቤተ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወወሀቦሙ፡ ለደቁ፡ ወፈነዎሙ፡ ለደቁ፡ አሳ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ኀበ፡ ወልደ፡ አዴር፡ ወልደ፡ ጣዴርማን፡ ወልደ፡ አዚን፡ ንጉሠ፡ ሶርያ፡ ዘይነብር፡ ውስተ፡ ደማስቆ፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል ፤ አቅምአ።
Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,
15:19
בְּרִית֙ בֵּינִ֣י וּבֵינֶ֔ךָ בֵּ֥ין אָבִ֖י וּבֵ֣ין אָבִ֑יךָ הִנֵּה֩ שָׁלַ֨חְתִּי לְךָ֥ שֹׁ֙חַד֙ כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֔ב לֵ֣ךְ הָפֵ֗רָה אֶת־בְּרִֽיתְךָ֙ אֶת־בַּעְשָׁ֣א מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְיַעֲלֶ֖ה מֵֽעָלָֽי׃
διάθου διαθήκην ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον σοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τοῦ πατρός μου καὶ τοῦ πατρός σου ἰδοὺ ἐξαπέσταλκά σοι δῶρα ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον δεῦρο διασκέδασον τὴν διαθήκην σου τὴν πρὸς Βαασα βασιλέα Ισραηλ καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ
Foedus est inter me et te, et inter patrem meum et patrem tuum : ideo misi tibi munera, argentum et aurum : et peto ut venias, et irritum facias foedus quod habes cum Baasa rege Israël, et recedat a me.
ኪዳንአ፡ ማእከሌየ፡ [ወማእከሌከ፡ ወማእከለ፡ አቡከ፡] ወማእከለ፡ አቡየ፡ ወናሁ፡ ፈነውኩ፡ ለከ፡ አምኃከ፡ ወርቀ፡ ወብሩረ ፤ አኅድግ፡ ኪዳነ፡ ዘምስለ፡ በአስ፡ ንጉሠ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወይሖርአ፡ እምላዕሌየአ።
“Let there be a treaty between me and you, like that between my father and your father. Behold, I have sent to you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.”
15:20
וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע בֶּן־הֲדַ֜ד אֶל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָסָ֗א וַ֠יִּשְׁלַ֠ח אֶת־שָׂרֵ֨י הַחֲיָלִ֤ים אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ֙ עַל־עָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּךְ֙ אֶת־עִיּ֣וֹן וְאֶת־דָּ֔ן וְאֵ֖ת אָבֵ֣ל בֵּֽית־מַעֲכָ֑ה וְאֵת֙ כׇּל־כִּנְר֔וֹת עַ֖ל כׇּל־אֶ֥רֶץ נַפְתָּלִֽי׃
καὶ ἤκουσεν υἱὸς Αδερ τοῦ βασιλέως Ασα καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τοὺς ἄρχοντας τῶν δυνάμεων τῶν αὐτοῦ ταῖς πόλεσιν τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὴν Αιν καὶ τὴν Δαν καὶ τὴν Αβελμαα καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν Χεζραθ ἕως πάσης τῆς γῆς Νεφθαλι
Acquiescens Benadad regi Asa, misit principes exercitus sui in civitates Israël, et percusserunt Ahion, et Dan, et Abeldomum Maacha, et universam Cenneroth, omnem scilicet terram Nephthali.
ወሰምዖ፡ ወልደ፡ አዴር፡ ንጉሥ፡ ወኦሆአ፡ ይቤሎ፡ ወፈነወ፡ መላእክተ፡ ኀይሉ፡ ላዕለ፡ አህጉረ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወቀተለ፡ ኤናን፡ ወዳን፡ ወአበሜላሕ፡ ወኵሎ፡ ኪሮተ፡ እስከ፡ ኵሉ፡ ምድረ፡ ንፍታሌም።
Ben Hadad listened to King Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel, and struck Ijon, and Dan, and Abel Beth Maacah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.
15:21
וַֽיְהִי֙ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ בַּעְשָׁ֔א וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל מִבְּנ֖וֹת אֶת־הָרָמָ֑ה וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב בְּתִרְצָֽה׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἤκουσεν Βαασα καὶ διέλιπεν τοῦ οἰκοδομεῖν τὴν Ραμα καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν εἰς Θερσα
Quod cum audisset Baasa, intermisit aedificare Rama, et reversus est in Thersa.
ወሶበ፡ ሰምዐ፡ በአስ፡ ኀደጋ፡ ሐኒጾታ፡ ለርኅማ፡ ወአተወ፡ ውስተ፡ ተርሳ።
When Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and lived in Tirzah.
15:22
וְהַמֶּ֨לֶךְ אָסָ֜א הִשְׁמִ֤יעַ אֶת־כׇּל־יְהוּדָה֙ אֵ֣ין נָקִ֔י וַיִּשְׂא֞וּ אֶת־אַבְנֵ֤י הָֽרָמָה֙ וְאֶת־עֵצֶ֔יהָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּנָ֖ה בַּעְשָׁ֑א וַיִּ֤בֶן בָּם֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָסָ֔א אֶת־גֶּ֥בַע בִּנְיָמִ֖ן וְאֶת־הַמִּצְפָּֽה׃
καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Ασα παρήγγειλεν παντὶ Ιουδα εἰς Αινακιμ καὶ αἴρουσιν τοὺς λίθους τῆς Ραμα καὶ τὰ ξύλα αὐτῆς ἃ ᾠκοδόμησεν Βαασα καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐν αὐτοῖς ὁ βασιλεὺς Ασα πᾶν βουνὸν Βενιαμιν καὶ τὴν σκοπιάν
Rex autem Asa nuntium misit in omnem Judam, dicens : Nemo sit excusatus. Et tulerunt lapides de Rama, et ligna ejus, quibus aedificaverat Baasa, et exstruxit de eis rex Asa Gabaa Benjamin, et Maspha.
ወአዘዘ፡ አሳ፡ ንጉሥ፡ ለኵሉ፡ ይሁዳ፡ በኤናቃም፡ ወነሥኡ፡ ኵሎ፡ እበኒሃ፡ ለራማ፡ ወዕፀዊሃ፡ ዘሐነጸ፡ በአስ፡ [ወሐነጸ፡ ቦሙ፡ አሳ፡] ንጉሥ፡ ኵሎ፡ ወግረ፡ ብንያም፡ ወሰቆጵያን።
Then King Asa made a proclamation to all Judah. No one was exempted. They carried away the stones of Ramah, and its timber, with which Baasha had built; and King Asa used it to build Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.
15:23
וְיֶ֣תֶר כׇּל־דִּבְרֵֽי־אָ֠סָ֠א וְכׇל־גְּב֨וּרָת֜וֹ וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֗ה וְהֶֽעָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנָ֔ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣מָּה כְתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה רַ֚ק לְעֵ֣ת זִקְנָת֔וֹ חָלָ֖ה אֶת־רַגְלָֽיו׃
καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων Ασα καὶ πᾶσα ἡ δυναστεία αὐτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γεγραμμένα ἐστὶν ἐπὶ βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν Ιουδα πλὴν ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τοῦ γήρως αὐτοῦ ἐπόνεσεν τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ
Reliqua autem omnium sermonum Asa, et universae fortitudines ejus, et cuncta quae fecit, et civitates quas exstruxit, nonne haec scripta sunt in libro verborum dierum regum Juda ? Verumtamen in tempore senectutis suae doluit pedes.
ወኵሉ፡ ኀይሉ፡ ዘገብረ፡ ናሁ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘጽሑፍ፡ ውስተ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ነዚያት፡ መዋዕለ፡ መንግሥተ፡ ይሁዳ ፤ ወአመ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ልህቀ፡ ደወየ፡ እገሪሁ።
Now the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities which he built, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
15:24
וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב אָסָא֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵר֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו בְּעִ֖יר דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֑יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Ασα καὶ θάπτεται μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ βασιλεύει Ιωσαφατ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ’ αὐτοῦ
Et dormivit cum patribus suis, et sepultus est cum eis in civitate David patris sui. Regnavitque Josaphat filius ejus pro eo.
ወሰከበ፡ አሳ፡ ምስለ፡ አበዊሁ፡ ወቀበርዎ፡ ምስለ፡ አበዊሁ፡ ውስተ፡ ሀገረ፡ ዳዊት፡ አቡሁ፡ ወነግሠ፡ ዮሳፍጥ፡ ወልዱ፡ ህየንቴሁ።
Asa slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city; and Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his place.
15:25
וְנָדָ֣ב בֶּן־יָרׇבְעָ֗ם מָלַךְ֙ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שְׁתַּ֔יִם לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שְׁנָתָֽיִם׃
καὶ Ναδαβ υἱὸς Ιεροβοαμ βασιλεύει ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν ἔτει δευτέρῳ τοῦ Ασα βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἔτη δύο
Nadab vero filius Jeroboam regnavit super Israël anno secundo Asa regis Juda : regnavitque super Israël duobus annis.
ወለእስራኤል፡ ነግሠ፡ ናባጥ፡ ወልደ፡ ኢዮራብዓም፡ አመ፡ ፪ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለአሳ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወነግሠ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ፪ዓመተ።
Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah; and he reigned over Israel two years.
15:26
וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ אָבִ֔יו וּ֨בְחַטָּאת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ὁδῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτοῦ αἷς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ
Et fecit quod malum est in conspectu Domini, et ambulavit in viis patris sui, et in peccatis ejus quibus peccare fecit Israël.
ወገብረ፡ እኩየ፡ ቅድመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወሖረ፡ በፍኖተ፡ አቡሁ፡ ወበጌጋዩ፡ በዘአስሐቶሙ፡ ለእስራኤል።
He did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin with which he made Israel to sin.
15:27
וַיִּקְשֹׁ֨ר עָלָ֜יו בַּעְשָׁ֤א בֶן־אֲחִיָּה֙ לְבֵ֣ית יִשָּׂשכָ֔ר וַיַּכֵּ֣הוּ בַעְשָׁ֔א בְּגִבְּת֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים וְנָדָב֙ וְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל צָרִ֖ים עַֽל־גִּבְּתֽוֹן׃
καὶ περιεκάθισεν αὐτὸν Βαασα υἱὸς Αχια ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Βελααν καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ἐν Γαβαθων τῇ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ Ναδαβ καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ περιεκάθητο ἐπὶ Γαβαθων
Insidiatus est autem ei Baasa filius Ahiae de domo Issachar, et percussit eum in Gebbethon, quae est urbs Philisthinorum : siquidem Nadab et omnis Israël obsidebant Gebbethon.
ወዐገቶ(ሙ)፡ በአስ፡ ወልደ፡ አኪያ፡ በቤተ፡ በለዓን፡ ወቀተሎ፡ በገባቶን፡ ዘኢሎፍሊ፡ ወናበጥሰ፡ ወኵሉ፡ እስራኤል፡ እንዘ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስተ፡ ገባቶን ፤
Baasha the son of Ahijah, of the house of Issachar, conspired against him; and Baasha struck him at Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines; for Nadab and all Israel were besieging Gibbethon.
15:28
וַיְמִתֵ֣הוּ בַעְשָׁ֔א בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שָׁלֹ֔שׁ לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν αὐτὸν Βαασα ἐν ἔτει τρίτῳ τοῦ Ασα υἱοῦ Αβιου βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν
Interfecit ergo illum Baasa in anno tertio Asa regis Juda, et regnavit pro eo.
ቀተሎ፡ በአስ፡ አመ፡ ሣልስት፡ ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለአሳ፡ ወልደ፡ አብዩ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወነግሠ፡ ህየንቴሁ።
Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha killed him and reigned in his place.
15:29
וַיְהִ֣י כְמׇלְכ֗וֹ הִכָּה֙ אֶת־כׇּל־בֵּ֣ית יָרׇבְעָ֔ם לֹא־הִשְׁאִ֧יר כׇּל־נְשָׁמָ֛ה לְיָרׇבְעָ֖ם עַד־הִשְׁמִד֑וֹ כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֔ר בְּיַד־עַבְדּ֖וֹ אֲחִיָּ֥ה הַשִּׁילֹנִֽי׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς ἐβασίλευσεν καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν οἶκον Ιεροβοαμ καὶ οὐχ ὑπελίπετο πᾶσαν πνοὴν τοῦ Ιεροβοαμ ἕως τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτὸν κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα κυρίου ὃ ἐλάλησεν ἐν χειρὶ δούλου αὐτοῦ Αχια τοῦ Σηλωνίτου
Cumque regnasset, percussit omnem domum Jeroboam : non dimisit ne unam quidem animam de semine ejus donec deleret eum, juxta verbum Domini quod locutus fuerat in manu servi sui Ahiae Silonitis,
ወእምድኅረ፡ ነግሠ፡ ቀተለ፡ ኵሎ፡ ቤተ፡ ኢዮራብዓም፡ ወኢያትረፈ፡ ኵሎ፡ በነፍስ፡ ለቤተ፡ ኢዮራብዓም፡ እስከ፡ ሠረዎሙ፡ በከመ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘነበበ፡ በእዴሁ፡ ለገብረ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አኪያ፡ ሰሎናዊ ፤
As soon as he was king, he struck all the house of Jeroboam. He didn’t leave to Jeroboam any who breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the saying of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite;
15:30
עַל־חַטֹּ֤אות יָֽרׇבְעָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֔א וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל בְּכַעְס֕וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִכְעִ֔יס אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν Ιεροβοαμ ὡς ἐξήμαρτεν τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν τῷ παροργισμῷ αὐτοῦ ᾧ παρώργισεν τὸν κύριον θεὸν τοῦ Ισραηλ
propter peccata Jeroboam, quae peccaverat, et quibus peccare fecerat Israël : et propter delictum quo irritaverat Dominum Deum Israël.
በእንተ፡ ጌጋዩ፡ ለኢዮራብዓም፡ ዘአስሐቶሙ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ ወበእንተ፡ ወሕኮቱ፡ ዘአምዕዖ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል።
for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and with which he made Israel to sin, because of his provocation with which he provoked Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger.
15:31
וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י נָדָ֖ב וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων Ναδαβ καὶ πάντα ἃ ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γεγραμμένα ἐστὶν ἐν βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν Ισραηλ

15:32
וּמִלְחָמָ֨ה הָיְתָ֜ה בֵּ֣ין אָסָ֗א וּבֵ֛ין בַּעְשָׁ֥א מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כׇּל־יְמֵיהֶֽם׃ {פ}
—
Fuitque bellum inter Asa, et Baasa regem Israël, cunctis diebus eorum.
—
There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
15:33
בִּשְׁנַ֣ת שָׁלֹ֔שׁ לְאָסָ֖א מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה מָ֠לַ֠ךְ בַּעְשָׁ֨א בֶן־אֲחִיָּ֤ה עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ בְּתִרְצָ֔ה עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאַרְבַּ֖ע שָׁנָֽה׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ τρίτῳ τοῦ Ασα βασιλέως Ιουδα βασιλεύει Βαασα υἱὸς Αχια ἐπὶ Ισραηλ ἐν Θερσα εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρα ἔτη
Anno tertio Asa regis Juda, regnavit Baasa filius Ahiae super omnem Israël in Thersa, viginti quatuor annis.
ወአመ፡ ሣልስ፡ ዓመተ፡ መንግሥቱ፡ ለአሳ፡ ንጉሠ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ነግሠ፡ በአስ፡ ወልደ፡ አኪያ፡ ለእስራኤል፡ በተርሳ፡ ፳ወ፬ዓመተ።
In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah began to reign over all Israel in Tirzah for twenty-four years.
15:34
וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יָרׇבְעָ֔ם וּ֨בְחַטָּאת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶחֱטִ֖יא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {ס}
