6:1
ה֚וֹי הַשַּׁאֲנַנִּ֣ים בְּצִיּ֔וֹן וְהַבֹּטְחִ֖ים בְּהַ֣ר שֹׁמְר֑וֹן נְקֻבֵי֙ רֵאשִׁ֣ית הַגּוֹיִ֔ם וּבָ֥אוּ לָהֶ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
οὐαὶ τοῖς ἐξουθενοῦσιν Σιων καὶ τοῖς πεποιθόσιν ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος Σαμαρείας ἀπετρύγησαν ἀρχὰς ἐθνῶν καὶ εἰσῆλθον αὐτοί οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ
Vae qui opulenti estis in Sion, et confiditis in monte Samariae : optimates capita populorum, ingredientes pompatice domum Israël !
ቤት፡ ይመውቱ፡ ወይተርፋ፡ እለ፡ ተርፈ።
Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
6:2
עִבְר֤וּ כַֽלְנֵה֙ וּרְא֔וּ וּלְכ֥וּ מִשָּׁ֖ם חֲמַ֣ת רַבָּ֑ה וּרְד֣וּ גַת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֗ים הֲטוֹבִים֙ מִן־הַמַּמְלָכ֣וֹת הָאֵ֔לֶּה אִם־רַ֥ב גְּבוּלָ֖ם מִגְּבֻלְכֶֽם׃
διάβητε πάντες καὶ ἴδετε καὶ διέλθατε ἐκεῖθεν εἰς Εμαθ Ραββα καὶ κατάβητε ἐκεῖθεν εἰς Γεθ ἀλλοφύλων τὰς κρατίστας ἐκ πασῶν τῶν βασιλειῶν τούτων εἰ πλέονα τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν ἐστιν τῶν ὑμετέρων ὁρίων
Transite in Chalane, et videte, et ite inde in Emath magnam, et descendite in Geth Palaestinorum, et ad optima quaeque regna horum : si latior terminus eorum termino vestro est.
ዕድዉ፡ ኲልክሙ፡ ዋርእዩ፡ ወኀልፋ፡ ውስተ፡ ኤሜርትርባ፡ ወረዱ፡ ውስተ፡ ጌት፡ ዘኢሎፍሊ፡ ለዘይጸንዑ፡ እምኲሉ፡ እሉ፡ ነገስት፡ እስመ፡ ዜበዝኃ፡ ብሔር፡ ዳዋላ፡ ዚሆሙ፡ ውእቱ።
Go to Calneh, and see. From there go to Hamath the great. Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are they better than these kingdoms? Is their border greater than your border?
6:3
הַֽמְנַדִּ֖ים לְי֣וֹם רָ֑ע וַתַּגִּשׁ֖וּן שֶׁ֥בֶת חָמָֽס׃
οἱ ἐρχόμενοι εἰς ἡμέραν κακήν οἱ ἐγγίζοντες καὶ ἐφαπτόμενοι σαββάτων ψευδῶν
Qui separati estis in diem malum, et appropinquatis solio iniquitatis ;
እለ፡ ትሜይ፡ ለዕለት፡ እኪት፡ ወለእለ፡ ስተቃርቡ፡ ወያስተላጽቁ፡ ሰንበታት፡ ሐሰት።
Alas for you who put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near,
6:4
הַשֹּֽׁכְבִים֙ עַל־מִטּ֣וֹת שֵׁ֔ן וּסְרֻחִ֖ים עַל־עַרְשׂוֹתָ֑ם וְאֹכְלִ֤ים כָּרִים֙ מִצֹּ֔אן וַעֲגָלִ֖ים מִתּ֥וֹךְ מַרְבֵּֽק׃
οἱ καθεύδοντες ἐπὶ κλινῶν ἐλεφαντίνων καὶ κατασπαταλῶντες ἐπὶ ταῖς στρωμναῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἔσθοντες ἐρίφους ἐκ ποιμνίων καὶ μοσχάρια ἐκ μέσου βουκολίων γαλαθηνά
qui dormitis in lectis eburneis, et lascivitis in stratis vestris ; qui comeditis agnum de grege, et vitulos de medio armenti ;
እለ፡ ሰክቡ፡ ውስተ፡ ዓራታት፡ ዘቀርነ፡ ነጌ፡ ወይፈግዑ፡ ውስተ፡ ምስካባቲሆሙ፡ እለ፡ ይሴሰየ፡ መሐስአ፡ እምስተ፡ መራዕ፡ ወመቁዓለ፡ ላሕም፡ እምውስተ፡ አዕጻዳተ፡ ወፍር።
who lie on beds of ivory, and stretch themselves on their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the middle of the stall,
6:5
הַפֹּרְטִ֖ים עַל־פִּ֣י הַנָּ֑בֶל כְּדָוִ֕יד חָשְׁב֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם כְּלֵי־שִֽׁיר׃
οἱ ἐπικροτοῦντες πρὸς τὴν φωνὴν τῶν ὀργάνων ὡς ἑστῶτα ἐλογίσαντο καὶ οὐχ ὡς φεύγοντα
qui canitis ad vocem psalterii, sicut David putaverunt se habere vasa cantici,
እለ፡ ይጠፍሑ፡ የየኀብሩ፡ ምስለ፡ ቃለ፡ ዕንዚራ፡ ወይመስሎሙ፡ ዘኢየኀልፍ፡ ወኢየአምሩ፡ ከመ፡ ያመስጦመሙ።
who strum on the strings of a harp, who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;
6:6
הַשֹּׁתִ֤ים בְּמִזְרְקֵי֙ יַ֔יִן וְרֵאשִׁ֥ית שְׁמָנִ֖ים יִמְשָׁ֑חוּ וְלֹ֥א נֶחְל֖וּ עַל־שֵׁ֥בֶר יוֹסֵֽף׃
οἱ πίνοντες τὸν διυλισμένον οἶνον καὶ τὰ πρῶτα μύρα χριόμενοι καὶ οὐκ ἔπασχον οὐδὲν ἐπὶ τῇ συντριβῇ Ιωσηφ
bibentes vinum in phialis, et optimo unguento delibuti, et nihil patiebantur super contritione Joseph.
እለ፡ ይሰትዩ፡ ወይን፡ ፀዓዳ፡ ወይትቀብኡ፡ ዕፍረተ፡ ቅድወ፡ ወኢየሐሙ፡ ወኢምንተኒ፡ በቅጥቃጤሁ፡ ለዬሴፍ።
who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best oils, but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
6:7
לָכֵ֛ן עַתָּ֥ה יִגְל֖וּ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ גֹּלִ֑ים וְסָ֖ר מִרְזַ֥ח סְרוּחִֽים׃
διὰ τοῦτο νῦν αἰχμάλωτοι ἔσονται ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς δυναστῶν καὶ ἐξαρθήσεται χρεμετισμὸς ἵππων ἐξ Εφραιμ
Quapropter nunc migrabunt in capite transmigrantium, et auferetur factio lascivientium.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ይጸወው፡ ይእዜ፡ ዓበይቶሙ፡ ይቀድሙ፡ ወየኀልቁ፡ አፍራሰ፡ ኤፍሬም፡ ረዋጺያን።
Therefore they will now go captive with the first who go captive. The feasting and lounging will end.
6:8
נִשְׁבַּע֩ אֲדֹנָ֨י יֱהֹוִ֜ה בְּנַפְשׁ֗וֹ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י צְבָא֔וֹת מְתָאֵ֤ב אָנֹכִי֙ אֶת־גְּא֣וֹן יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְאַרְמְנֹתָ֖יו שָׂנֵ֑אתִי וְהִסְגַּרְתִּ֖י עִ֥יר וּמְלֹאָֽהּ׃
ὅτι ὤμοσεν κύριος καθ’ ἑαυτοῦ διότι βδελύσσομαι ἐγὼ πᾶσαν τὴν ὕβριν Ιακωβ καὶ τὰς χώρας αὐτοῦ μεμίσηκα καὶ ἐξαρῶ πόλιν σὺν πᾶσιν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν αὐτήν
Juravit Dominus Deus in anima sua, dicit Dominus Deus exercituum : Detestor ego superbiam Jacob, et domos ejus odi, et tradam civitatem cum habitatoribus suis.
እስመ፡ መሐላ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ በርእሱ፡ እንዘ፡ ብልአነ፡ አረኲሶ፡ ለኃሳረ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ ወጸላእኩ፡ በሐውርቲሁ፡ ወአጠፍእ፡ አህጉሪሁ፡ ምስለ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ውስቴቶሙ።
“The Lord Yahweh has sworn by himself,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies: “I abhor the pride of Jacob, and detest his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.
6:9
וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־יִוָּ֨תְר֜וּ עֲשָׂרָ֧ה אֲנָשִׁ֛ים בְּבַ֥יִת אֶחָ֖ד וָמֵֽתוּ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ὑπολειφθῶσιν δέκα ἄνδρες ἐν οἰκίᾳ μιᾷ καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται καὶ ὑπολειφθήσονται οἱ κατάλοιποι
Quod si reliqui fuerint decem viri in domo una, et ipsi morientur.
ወእመሂ፡ ተርፋ
It will happen that if ten men remain in one house, they will die.
6:10
וּנְשָׂא֞וֹ דּוֹד֣וֹ וּמְסָֽרְפ֗וֹ לְהוֹצִ֣יא עֲצָמִים֮ מִן־הַבַּיִת֒ וְאָמַ֞ר לַאֲשֶׁ֨ר בְּיַרְכְּתֵ֥י הַבַּ֛יִת הַע֥וֹד עִמָּ֖ךְ וְאָמַ֣ר אָ֑פֶס וְאָמַ֣ר הָ֔ס כִּ֛י לֹ֥א לְהַזְכִּ֖יר בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה׃ {ס}
καὶ λήμψονται οἱ οἰκεῖοι αὐτῶν καὶ παραβιῶνται τοῦ ἐξενέγκαι τὰ ὀστᾶ αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου καὶ ἐρεῖ τοῖς προεστηκόσι τῆς οἰκίας εἰ ἔτι ὑπάρχει παρὰ σοί καὶ ἐρεῖ οὐκέτι καὶ ἐρεῖ σίγα ἕνεκα τοῦ μὴ ὀνομάσαι τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου
Et tollet eum propinquus suus, et comburet eum, ut efferat ossa de domo ; et dicet ei, qui in penetralibus domus est : Numquid adhuc est penes te ?
ወይነስእዎሙ፡ ሰብአ፡ ቤቶሙ፡ ይትኄየልዎሙ፡ ወያወፅኡ፡ አዕጽምቲሆሙ፡ እምነ፡ ቤት፡ ወይብሎ፡ ለዓቃቤ፡ ቤት፡ ቦሁ፡ ዘተርፈ፡ ኀቤከ።
“When a man’s relative carries him, even he who burns him, to bring bodies out of the house, and asks him who is in the innermost parts of the house, ‘Is there yet any with you?’ And he says, ‘No;’ then he will say, ‘Hush! Indeed we must not mention Yahweh’s name.’
6:11
כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ מְצַוֶּ֔ה וְהִכָּ֛ה הַבַּ֥יִת הַגָּד֖וֹל רְסִיסִ֑ים וְהַבַּ֥יִת הַקָּטֹ֖ן בְּקִעִֽים׃
διότι ἰδοὺ κύριος ἐντέλλεται καὶ πατάξει τὸν οἶκον τὸν μέγαν θλάσμασιν καὶ τὸν οἶκον τὸν μικρὸν ῥάγμασιν
Et respondebit : Finis est. Et dicet ei : Tace, et non recorderis nominis Domini.
ወይብል፡ አልቦ፡ ወይቤሎ፡ አርምዴ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይጸውዑ፡ ስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
“For, behold, Yahweh commands, and the great house will be smashed to pieces, and the little house into bits.
6:12
הַיְרֻצ֤וּן בַּסֶּ֙לַע֙ סוּסִ֔ים אִֽם־יַחֲר֖וֹשׁ בַּבְּקָרִ֑ים כִּֽי־הֲפַכְתֶּ֤ם לְרֹאשׁ֙ מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּפְרִ֥י צְדָקָ֖ה לְלַעֲנָֽה׃
εἰ διώξονται ἐν πέτραις ἵπποι εἰ παρασιωπήσονται ἐν θηλείαις ὅτι ὑμεῖς ἐξεστρέψατε εἰς θυμὸν κρίμα καὶ καρπὸν δικαιοσύνης εἰς πικρίαν
Quia ecce Dominus mandabit, et percutiet domum majorem ruinis, et domum minorem scissionibus.
እስመ፡ ናሁ፡ ይእዜ፡ ይኤዝዝ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወይቀስፎ፡ ለዓቢይ፡ ቤት፡ በድቀት፡ ወለንኡስ፡ ቤት፡ በንፅኃት።
Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness,
6:13
הַשְּׂמֵחִ֖ים לְלֹ֣א דָבָ֑ר הָאֹ֣מְרִ֔ים הֲל֣וֹא בְחׇזְקֵ֔נוּ לָקַ֥חְנוּ לָ֖נוּ קַרְנָֽיִם׃
οἱ εὐφραινόμενοι ἐπ’ οὐδενὶ λόγῳ οἱ λέγοντες οὐκ ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι ἡμῶν ἔσχομεν κέρατα
Numquid currere queunt in petris equi, aut arari potest in bubalis ? quoniam convertistis in amaritudinem judicium, et fructum justitiae in absinthium.
ይርጹኑ፡ ፍራስ፡ ውስተ፡ ኮኲሕ፡ ወያረምሙኑ፡ እምንስተ፡ እስመ፡ አንትሙ፡ ሜጥክሙ፡ ፍትሓ፡ ውስተ፡ መዐት፡ ወአምረርክሙ፡ ፍሬ፡ ጽድቅ።
you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, ‘Haven’t we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?’
6:14
כִּ֡י הִנְנִי֩ מֵקִ֨ים עֲלֵיכֶ֜ם בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י הַצְּבָא֖וֹת גּ֑וֹי וְלָחֲצ֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֛ם מִלְּב֥וֹא חֲמָ֖ת עַד־נַ֥חַל הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ {פ}
διότι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπεγείρω ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ ἔθνος καὶ ἐκθλίψουσιν ὑμᾶς τοῦ μὴ εἰσελθεῖν εἰς Εμαθ καὶ ἕως τοῦ χειμάρρου τῶν δυσμῶν
Qui laetamini in nihilo ; qui dicitis : Numquid non in fortitudine nostra assumpsimus nobis cornua ?
እለ፡ ይትፌሥሑ፡ በነረ፡ ከንቱ፡ እለ፡ ትብሉ፡ አኮኑ፡ በኃይልነ፡ በቀፐለ፡ አቅረቲነ።
For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies; “and they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”
6:15——
Ecce enim suscitabo super vos, domus Israël, dicit Dominus Deus exercituum, gentem, et conteret vos ab introitu Emath usque ad torrentem deserti.
በእንተ፡ ዝናቱ፡ ናሀ፡ አነ፡ አነስእ፡ አህዛበ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ ቤተ፡ እስራኡል፡ እለ፡ ይሣቅዩክሙ፡ ወኢያበውሑክሙ፡ ትባኡ፡ ኤማት፡ ዋእስከ፡ ፈለገ፡ ዐረብ።
For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel,” says Yahweh, the God of Armies; “and they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah.”
