8:1
כׇּל־הַמִּצְוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֧י מְצַוְּךָ֛ הַיּ֖וֹם תִּשְׁמְר֣וּן לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת לְמַ֨עַן תִּֽחְי֜וּן וּרְבִיתֶ֗ם וּבָאתֶם֙ וִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֣ם אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥ע יְהֹוָ֖ה לַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
πάσας τὰς ἐντολάς ἃς ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον φυλάξεσθε ποιεῖν ἵνα ζῆτε καὶ πολυπλασιασθῆτε καὶ εἰσέλθητε καὶ κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν
Omne mandatum, quod ego praecipio tibi hodie, cave diligenter ut facias, ut possitis vivere, et multiplicemini, ingressique possideatis terram, pro qua juravit Dominus patribus vestris.
ወዕቀቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትግበሩ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትእዛዘ ፡ ዘእኤዝዘክሙ ፡ አነ ፡ ዮም ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሕየው ፡ ወትትባዝኁ ፡ ወትባኡ ፡ ትትወረሱ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ መሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአበዊክሙ ።
You shall observe to do all the commandments which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers.
8:2
וְזָכַרְתָּ֣ אֶת־כׇּל־הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הוֹלִֽיכְךָ֜ יְהֹוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ זֶ֛ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר לְמַ֨עַן עַנֹּֽתְךָ֜ לְנַסֹּֽתְךָ֗ לָדַ֜עַת אֶת־אֲשֶׁ֧ר בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֛ הֲתִשְׁמֹ֥ר מִצְוֺתָ֖ו אִם־לֹֽא׃
καὶ μνησθήσῃ πᾶσαν τὴν ὁδόν ἣν ἤγαγέν σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅπως ἂν κακώσῃ σε καὶ ἐκπειράσῃ σε καὶ διαγνωσθῇ τὰ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου εἰ φυλάξῃ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ ἢ οὔ
Et recordaberis cuncti itineris, per quod adduxit te Dominus Deus tuus quadraginta annis per desertum, ut affligeret te, atque tentaret, et nota fierent quae in tuo animo versabantur, utrum custodires mandata illius, an non.
ወተዘከር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሰደከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ከመ ፡ ያሕምምከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ያመክርከ ፡ ወከመ ፡ ያእምር ፡ ልበከ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ተዐቅብ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወለእመ ፡ አልቦ ።
You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.
8:3
וַֽיְעַנְּךָ֮ וַיַּרְעִבֶ֒ךָ֒ וַיַּאֲכִֽלְךָ֤ אֶת־הַמָּן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־יָדַ֔עְתָּ וְלֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּן אֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ לְמַ֣עַן הוֹדִֽיעֲךָ֗ כִּ֠י לֹ֣א עַל־הַלֶּ֤חֶם לְבַדּוֹ֙ יִחְיֶ֣ה הָֽאָדָ֔ם כִּ֛י עַל־כׇּל־מוֹצָ֥א פִֽי־יְהֹוָ֖ה יִחְיֶ֥ה הָאָדָֽם׃
καὶ ἐκάκωσέν σε καὶ ἐλιμαγχόνησέν σε καὶ ἐψώμισέν σε τὸ μαννα ὃ οὐκ εἴδησαν οἱ πατέρες σου ἵνα ἀναγγείλῃ σοι ὅτι οὐκ ἐπ’ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἀλλ’ ἐπὶ παντὶ ῥήματι τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος θεοῦ ζήσεται ὁ ἄνθρωπος
Afflixit te penuria, et dedit tibi cibum manna, quod ignorabas tu et patres tui : ut ostenderet tibi quod non in solo pane vivat homo, sed in omni verbo quod egreditur de ore Dei.
ወአሕመመከ ፡ ወአርኀበከ ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ መና ፡ ሴሰየከ ፡ ዘኢያአምሩ ፡ አበዊከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያርኢከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢኮነ ፡ በእክል ፡ ባሕቲቱ ፡ ዘየሐዩ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ አላ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ቃል ፡ እንተ ፡ ትወፅእ ፡ እምነ ፡ አፉሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ የሐዩ ፡ ሰብእ ።
He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth.
8:4
שִׂמְלָ֨תְךָ֜ לֹ֤א בָֽלְתָה֙ מֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָ וְרַגְלְךָ֖ לֹ֣א בָצֵ֑קָה זֶ֖ה אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָֽה׃
τὰ ἱμάτιά σου οὐ κατετρίβη ἀπὸ σοῦ οἱ πόδες σου οὐκ ἐτυλώθησαν ἰδοὺ τεσσαράκοντα ἔτη
Vestimentum tuum, quo operiebaris, nequaquam vetustate defecit, et pes tuus non est subtritus, en quadragesimus annus est :
አልባሲከኒ ፡ ኢበልየ ፡ በላዕሌከ ፡ ወእገሪከኒ ፡ ኢረስሐ ፡ ናሁ ፡ አርብዓ ፡ ዓም ።
Your clothing didn’t grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.
8:5
וְיָדַעְתָּ֖ עִם־לְבָבֶ֑ךָ כִּ֗י כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יְיַסֵּ֥ר אִישׁ֙ אֶת־בְּנ֔וֹ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מְיַסְּרֶֽךָּ׃
καὶ γνώσῃ τῇ καρδίᾳ σου ὅτι ὡς εἴ τις παιδεύσαι ἄνθρωπος τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ οὕτως κύριος ὁ θεός σου παιδεύσει σε
ut recogites in corde tuo, quia sicut erudit filium suum homo, sic Dominus Deus tuus erudivit te,
ወአእምር ፡ በልብከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይጌሥጽ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወልዶ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ይጌሥጸከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ።
You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God disciplines you.
8:6
וְשָׁ֣מַרְתָּ֔ אֶת־מִצְוֺ֖ת יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ לָלֶ֥כֶת בִּדְרָכָ֖יו וּלְיִרְאָ֥ה אֹתֽוֹ׃
καὶ φυλάξῃ τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου πορεύεσθαι ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ φοβεῖσθαι αὐτόν
ut custodias mandata Domini Dei tui, et ambules in viis ejus, et timeas eum.
ወዕቀብ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትሑር ፡ በፍኖቱ ፡ ወትፍርሆ ።
You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
8:7
כִּ֚י יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ מְבִֽיאֲךָ֖ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ טוֹבָ֑ה אֶ֚רֶץ נַ֣חֲלֵי מָ֔יִם עֲיָנֹת֙ וּתְהֹמֹ֔ת יֹצְאִ֥ים בַּבִּקְעָ֖ה וּבָהָֽר׃
ὁ γὰρ κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰσάγει σε εἰς γῆν ἀγαθὴν καὶ πολλήν οὗ χείμαρροι ὑδάτων καὶ πηγαὶ ἀβύσσων ἐκπορευόμεναι διὰ τῶν πεδίων καὶ διὰ τῶν ὀρέων
Dominus enim Deus tuus introducet te in terram bonam, terram rivorum, aquarumque et fontium, in cujus campis et montibus erumpunt fluviorum abyssi :
እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ያበውአከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ቡርክት ፡ ወብዝኅት ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሓይዝተ ፡ ማይ ፡ ወዐዘቃቲሃ ፡ ከመ ፡ ቀላይ ፡ ወይትከዐው ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አድባር ።
For Yahweh your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills;
8:8
אֶ֤רֶץ חִטָּה֙ וּשְׂעֹרָ֔ה וְגֶ֥פֶן וּתְאֵנָ֖ה וְרִמּ֑וֹן אֶֽרֶץ־זֵ֥ית שֶׁ֖מֶן וּדְבָֽשׁ׃
γῆ πυροῦ καὶ κριθῆς ἄμπελοι συκαῖ ῥόαι γῆ ἐλαίας ἐλαίου καὶ μέλιτος
terram frumenti, hordei ac vinearum, in qua ficus, et malogranata, et oliveta nascuntur : terram olei ac mellis,
ምድረ ፡ ስርናይ ፡ ወስገም ፡ ወአዕጻደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወበለስ ፡ ወሮማን ፡ ምድረ ፡ ኤልያስ ፡ ዘዘይት ፡ ወመዓር ፤
a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey;
8:9
אֶ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹ֤א בְמִסְכֵּנֻת֙ תֹּֽאכַל־בָּ֣הּ לֶ֔חֶם לֹֽא־תֶחְסַ֥ר כֹּ֖ל בָּ֑הּ אֶ֚רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲבָנֶ֣יהָ בַרְזֶ֔ל וּמֵהֲרָרֶ֖יהָ תַּחְצֹ֥ב נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
γῆ ἐφ’ ἧς οὐ μετὰ πτωχείας φάγῃ τὸν ἄρτον σου καὶ οὐκ ἐνδεηθήσῃ οὐδὲν ἐπ’ αὐτῆς γῆ ἧς οἱ λίθοι σίδηρος καὶ ἐκ τῶν ὀρέων αὐτῆς μεταλλεύσεις χαλκόν
ubi absque ulla penuria comedes panem tuum, et rerum omnium abundantia perfrueris : cujus lapides ferrum sunt, et de montibus ejus aeris metalla fodiuntur :
ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢኮነት ፡ በአስተአክሎ ፡ ዘትበልዖ ፡ ለእክልከ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘተኀጥእ ፡ ምንተኒ ፡ ውስቴታ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ እበኒሃ ፡ ኀፂን ፡ ወእምውስተ ፡ አድባሪሃ ፡ ይኤልድዎ ፡ ለብርት ።
a land in which you shall eat bread without scarcity, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
8:10
וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ וּבֵֽרַכְתָּ֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ עַל־הָאָ֥רֶץ הַטֹּבָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָֽתַן־לָֽךְ׃
καὶ φάγῃ καὶ ἐμπλησθήσῃ καὶ εὐλογήσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς τῆς ἀγαθῆς ἧς ἔδωκέν σοι
ut cum comederis, et satiatus fueris, benedicas Domino Deo tuo pro terra optima, quam dedit tibi.
ወብላዕ ፡ ወጽገብ ፡ ወባርኮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ቡርክት ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀበከ ።
You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which he has given you.
8:11
הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֔ פֶּן־תִּשְׁכַּ֖ח אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ לְבִלְתִּ֨י שְׁמֹ֤ר מִצְוֺתָיו֙ וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו וְחֻקֹּתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּֽוֹם׃
πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου τοῦ μὴ φυλάξαι τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ καὶ τὰ κρίματα καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον
Observa, et cave nequando obliviscaris Domini Dei tui, et negligas mandata ejus atque judicia et caeremonias, quas ego praecipio tibi hodie :
ወዑቅ ፡ ርእሰከ ፡ ወኢትርስዖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ትዕቀብ ፡ ትእዛዞ ፡ ወፍትሖ ፡ ወኵነኔሁ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘአነ ፡ እኤዝዘከ ፡ ዮም ።
Beware lest you forget Yahweh your God, in not keeping his commandments, his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today;
8:12
פֶּן־תֹּאכַ֖ל וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ וּבָתִּ֥ים טֹבִ֛ים תִּבְנֶ֖ה וְיָשָֽׁבְתָּ׃
μὴ φαγὼν καὶ ἐμπλησθεὶς καὶ οἰκίας καλὰς οἰκοδομήσας καὶ κατοικήσας ἐν αὐταῖς
ne postquam comederis et satiatus fueris, domos pulchras aedificaveris, et habitaveris in eis,
ዮጊ ፡ ሶበ ፡ በላዕከ ፡ ወጸገብከ ፡ ወነደቀ ፡ አብያተ ፡ ሠናያነ ፡ ወነበርከ ፡ ውስቴቶሙ ፤
lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built fine houses and lived in them;
8:13
וּבְקָֽרְךָ֤ וְצֹֽאנְךָ֙ יִרְבְּיֻ֔ן וְכֶ֥סֶף וְזָהָ֖ב יִרְבֶּה־לָּ֑ךְ וְכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־לְךָ֖ יִרְבֶּֽה׃
καὶ τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τῶν προβάτων σου πληθυνθέντων σοι ἀργυρίου καὶ χρυσίου πληθυνθέντος σοι καὶ πάντων ὅσων σοι ἔσται πληθυνθέντων σοι
habuerisque armenta boum, et ovium greges, argenti et auri, cunctarumque rerum copiam,
ወበዝኃ ፡ ለከ ፡ አባግዒከ ፡ ወአልህምቲከ ፡ ወሶበ ፡ በዝኀ ፡ ለከ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ወብሩር ፡ ወበዝኀ ፡ ለከ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ንዋይከ ፤
and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;
8:14
וְרָ֖ם לְבָבֶ֑ךָ וְשָֽׁכַחְתָּ֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ הַמּוֹצִיאֲךָ֛ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃
ὑψωθῇς τῇ καρδίᾳ καὶ ἐπιλάθῃ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου τοῦ ἐξαγαγόντος σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας
elevetur cor tuum, et non reminiscaris Domini Dei tui, qui eduxit te de terra Aegypti, de domo servitutis,
ዮጊ ፡ ታዐቢ ፡ ልበከ ፡ ወትረስዖ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ዘአውፅአከ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ቅኔት ፤
then your heart might be lifted up, and you forget Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;
8:15
הַמּוֹלִ֨יכְךָ֜ בַּמִּדְבָּ֣ר׀ הַגָּדֹ֣ל וְהַנּוֹרָ֗א נָחָ֤שׁ׀שָׂרָף֙ וְעַקְרָ֔ב וְצִמָּא֖וֹן אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֵֽין־מָ֑יִם הַמּוֹצִ֤יא לְךָ֙ מַ֔יִם מִצּ֖וּר הַֽחַלָּמִֽישׁ׃
τοῦ ἀγαγόντος σε διὰ τῆς ἐρήμου τῆς μεγάλης καὶ τῆς φοβερᾶς ἐκείνης οὗ ὄφις δάκνων καὶ σκορπίος καὶ δίψα οὗ οὐκ ἦν ὕδωρ τοῦ ἐξαγαγόντος σοι ἐκ πέτρας ἀκροτόμου πηγὴν ὕδατος
et ductor tuus fuit in solitudine magna atque terribili, in qua erat serpens flatu adurens, et scorpio, ac dipsas, et nullae omnino aquae : qui eduxit rivos de petra durissima,
ወወሰደከ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ዘዐቢይ ፡ ወግሩም ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘአራዊተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ዘይነስክ ፡ ወዐቃርብት ፡ ወጽምእ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ማየ ፡ ለሰትይ ፡ ዘአውፅአ ፡ ለከ ፡ እምውስተ ፡ እብን ፡ ኰኵሕ ፡ ነቅዐ ፡ ማየ ፡ ጥዑም ።
who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with venomous snakes and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who poured water for you out of the rock of flint;
8:16
הַמַּאֲכִ֨לְךָ֥ מָן֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יָדְע֖וּן אֲבֹתֶ֑יךָ לְמַ֣עַן עַנֹּֽתְךָ֗ וּלְמַ֙עַן֙ נַסֹּתֶ֔ךָ לְהֵיטִֽבְךָ֖ בְּאַחֲרִיתֶֽךָ׃
τοῦ ψωμίσαντός σε τὸ μαννα ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὃ οὐκ εἴδησαν οἱ πατέρες σου ἵνα κακώσῃ σε καὶ ἐκπειράσῃ σε καὶ εὖ σε ποιήσῃ ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν σου
et cibavit te manna in solitudine, quod nescierunt patres tui. Et postquam afflixit ac probavit, ad extremum misertus est tui,
ዘሴሰየከ ፡ መና ፡ በገዳም ፡ ዘኢያአምሩ ፡ አበዊከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያሕምምከ ፡ ወያመክርከ ፡ ወያሠኒ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ በደኃሪ ፡ መዋዕሊከ ።
who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn’t know, that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end;
8:17
וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ בִּלְבָבֶ֑ךָ כֹּחִי֙ וְעֹ֣צֶם יָדִ֔י עָ֥שָׂה לִ֖י אֶת־הַחַ֥יִל הַזֶּֽה׃
μὴ εἴπῃς ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου ἡ ἰσχύς μου καὶ τὸ κράτος τῆς χειρός μου ἐποίησέν μοι τὴν δύναμιν τὴν μεγάλην ταύτην
ne diceres in corde tuo : Fortitudo mea, et robur manus meae, haec mihi omnia praestiterunt :
ወኢትበል ፡ በልብከ ፡ በጽንዕየ ፡ ወበኀይለ ፡ እዴየ ፡ ገበርኩ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ዘንተ ፡ ኅይለ ፡ ዐቢየ ።
and lest you say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth.”
8:18
וְזָֽכַרְתָּ֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ כִּ֣י ה֗וּא הַנֹּתֵ֥ן לְךָ֛ כֹּ֖חַ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת חָ֑יִל לְמַ֨עַן הָקִ֧ים אֶת־בְּרִית֛וֹ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥ע לַאֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ μνησθήσῃ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου ὅτι αὐτός σοι δίδωσιν ἰσχὺν τοῦ ποιῆσαι δύναμιν καὶ ἵνα στήσῃ τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ ἣν ὤμοσεν κύριος τοῖς πατράσιν σου ὡς σήμερον
sed recorderis Domini Dei tui, quod ipse vires tibi praebuerit, ut impleret pactum suum, super quo juravit patribus tuis, sicut praesens indicat dies.
ወተዘከሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ይሁበከ ፡ ኀይለ ፡ ከመ ፡ ያቅም ፡ ኪዳኖ ፡ ዘመሐለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአበዊከ ፡ በከመ ፡ ዮም ።
But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.
8:19
וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־שָׁכֹ֤חַ תִּשְׁכַּח֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֗ אַחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַעֲבַדְתָּ֖ם וְהִשְׁתַּחֲוִ֣יתָ לָהֶ֑ם הַעִדֹ֤תִי בָכֶם֙ הַיּ֔וֹם כִּ֥י אָבֹ֖ד תֹּאבֵדֽוּן׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν λήθῃ ἐπιλάθῃ κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ πορευθῇς ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων καὶ λατρεύσῃς αὐτοῖς καὶ προσκυνήσῃς αὐτοῖς διαμαρτύρομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον τόν τε οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν ὅτι ἀπωλείᾳ ἀπολεῖσθε
Sin autem oblitus Domini Dei tui, secutus fueris deos alienos, coluerisque illos et adoraveris : ecce nunc praedico tibi quod omnino dispereas.
ወለእመ ፡ ረሲዐ ፡ ረሳዕካሁ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ወሖርከ ፡ ድኅረ ፡ ባዕድ ፡ አማልክት ፡ ወአምለካሆሙ ፡ ወሰገድከ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ኣሰምዕ ፡ ላዕሌከ ፡ ዮም ፡ ሰማየ ፡ ወምድረ ፡ ከመ ፡ ጠፊአ ፡ ትጠፍእ ።
It shall be, if you shall forget Yahweh your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish.
8:20
כַּגּוֹיִ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ מַאֲבִ֣יד מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם כֵּ֖ן תֹּאבֵד֑וּן עֵ֚קֶב לֹ֣א תִשְׁמְע֔וּן בְּק֖וֹל יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃ {פ}
καθὰ καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἔθνη ὅσα κύριος ἀπολλύει πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν οὕτως ἀπολεῖσθε ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἠκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν
Sicut gentes, quas delevit Dominus in introitu tuo, ita et vos peribitis, si inobedientes fueritis voci Domini Dei vestri.
በከመ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ደምሰሶሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ገጽክሙ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ ትደመሰሱ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ።
As the nations that Yahweh makes to perish before you, so you shall perish, because you wouldn’t listen to Yahweh your God’s voice.
