3:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּמֹשֶׁ֗ה הָיָ֥ה רֹעֶ֛ה אֶת ־צֹ֛אן יִתְר֥וֹ חֹתְנ֖וֹ כֹּהֵ֣ן מִדְיָ֑ן וַיִּנְהַ֤ג אֶת ־הַצֹּאן֙ אַחַ֣ר הַמִּדְבָּ֔ר וַיָּבֹ֛א אֶל ־הַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים חֹרֵֽבָה ׃
καὶ Μωυσῆς ἦν ποιμαίνων τὰ πρόβατα Ιοθορ τοῦ γαμβροῦ αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἱερέως Μαδιαμ καὶ ἤγαγεν τὰ πρόβατα ὑπὸ τὴν ἔρημον καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς τὸ ὄρος Χωρηβ
Moyses autem pascebat oves Jethro soceri sui sacerdotis Madian : cumque minasset gregem ad interiora deserti , venit ad montem Dei Horeb .
ወሀሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ይርዒ ፡ አባግዐ ፡ ዮቶር ፡ ሐሙሁ ፡ ማርየ ፡ ምድያም ፡ ወወሰደ ፡ አባግዒሁ ፡ ሐቅለ ፡ ወበጽሐ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኮሬብ ፡ ደብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.
3:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַ֠יֵּרָ֠א מַלְאַ֨ךְ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֵלָ֛יו בְּלַבַּת ־אֵ֖שׁ מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֑ה וַיַּ֗רְא וְהִנֵּ֤ה הַסְּנֶה֙ בֹּעֵ֣ר בָּאֵ֔שׁ וְהַסְּנֶ֖ה אֵינֶ֥נּוּ אֻכָּֽל ׃
ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος κυρίου ἐν φλογὶ πυρὸς ἐκ τοῦ βάτου καὶ ὁρᾷ ὅτι ὁ βάτος καίεται πυρί ὁ δὲ βάτος οὐ κατεκαίετο
Apparuitque ei Dominus in flamma ignis de medio rubi : et videbat quod rubus arderet , et non combureretur .
ወአስተርአዮ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ መልአከ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በነደ ፡ እሳት ፡ እምዕፀት ፡ ወርእየ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ከመ ፡ እምዕፀት ፡ ይነድድ ፡ እሳት ፡ ወዕፀታ ፡ ኢትውዒ ።
Yahweh’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֔ה אָסֻֽרָה ־נָּ֣א וְאֶרְאֶ֔ה אֶת ־הַמַּרְאֶ֥ה הַגָּדֹ֖ל הַזֶּ֑ה מַדּ֖וּעַ לֹא ־יִבְעַ֥ר הַסְּנֶֽה ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Μωυσῆς παρελθὼν ὄψομαι τὸ ὅραμα τὸ μέγα τοῦτο τί ὅτι οὐ κατακαίεται ὁ βάτος
Dixit ergo Moyses : Vadam , et videbo visionem hanc magnam , quare non comburatur rubus .
ወይቤ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ እብጻሕ ፡ እርአይ ፡ ዘራእየ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ እፎ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢትውዒ ፡ ዛዕፀት ።
Moses said, “I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”
3:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיַּ֥רְא יְהֹוָ֖ה כִּ֣י סָ֣ר לִרְא֑וֹת וַיִּקְרָא֩ אֵלָ֨יו אֱלֹהִ֜ים מִתּ֣וֹךְ הַסְּנֶ֗ה וַיֹּ֛אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֥ה מֹשֶׁ֖ה וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי ׃
ὡς δὲ εἶδεν κύριος ὅτι προσάγει ἰδεῖν ἐκάλεσεν αὐτὸν κύριος ἐκ τοῦ βάτου λέγων Μωυσῆ Μωυσῆ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τί ἐστιν
Cernens autem Dominus quod pergeret ad videndum , vocavit eum de medio rubi , et ait : Moyses , Moyses . Qui respondit : Adsum .
ወሶበ ፡ ርእየ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ ከመ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ ጸውዖ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ እምዕፀት ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ ምንትኑ ፡ ውእቱ ።
When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, “Moses! Moses!” He said, “Here I am.”
3:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אַל ־תִּקְרַ֣ב הֲלֹ֑ם שַׁל ־נְעָלֶ֙יךָ֙ מֵעַ֣ל רַגְלֶ֔יךָ כִּ֣י הַמָּק֗וֹם אֲשֶׁ֤ר אַתָּה֙ עוֹמֵ֣ד עָלָ֔יו אַדְמַת ־קֹ֖דֶשׁ הֽוּא ׃
καὶ εἶπεν μὴ ἐγγίσῃς ὧδε λῦσαι τὸ ὑπόδημα ἐκ τῶν ποδῶν σου ὁ γὰρ τόπος ἐν ᾧ σὺ ἕστηκας γῆ ἁγία ἐστίν
At ille : Ne appropies , inquit , huc : solve calceamentum de pedibus tuis : locus enim , in quo stas , terra sancta est .
ወይቤሎ ፡ ኢትቅረብ ፡ ዝየ ፡ ፍታኅ ፡ አሣእኒከ ፡ እምእገሪከ ፡ እስመ ፡ መካን ፡ እንተ ፡ አንተ ፡ ትቀውም ፡ ምድር ፡ ቅድስት ፡ ይእቲ ።
He said, “Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”
3:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אָנֹכִי֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י אָבִ֔יךָ אֱלֹהֵ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֖ק וֵאלֹהֵ֣י יַעֲקֹ֑ב וַיַּסְתֵּ֤ר מֹשֶׁה֙ פָּנָ֔יו כִּ֣י יָרֵ֔א מֵהַבִּ֖יט אֶל ־הָאֱלֹהִֽים ׃
καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεὸς τοῦ πατρός σου θεὸς Αβρααμ καὶ θεὸς Ισαακ καὶ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἀπέστρεψεν δὲ Μωυσῆς τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ εὐλαβεῖτο γὰρ κατεμβλέψαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ
Et ait : Ego sum Deus patris tui , Deus Abraham , Deus Isaac et Deus Jacob . Abscondit Moyses faciem suam : non enim audebat aspicere contra Deum .
ወይቤሎ ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አቡከ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ ወአምላከ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ ወአምለከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወሜጠ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ገጾ ፡ እስመ ፡ ፈርሀ ፡ ነጽሮ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Moreover he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.
3:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֔ה רָאֹ֥ה רָאִ֛יתִי אֶת ־עֳנִ֥י עַמִּ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם וְאֶת ־צַעֲקָתָ֤ם שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י נֹֽגְשָׂ֔יו כִּ֥י יָדַ֖עְתִּי אֶת ־מַכְאֹבָֽיו ׃
εἶπεν δὲ κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἰδὼν εἶδον τὴν κάκωσιν τοῦ λαοῦ μου τοῦ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ τῆς κραυγῆς αὐτῶν ἀκήκοα ἀπὸ τῶν ἐργοδιωκτῶν οἶδα γὰρ τὴν ὀδύνην αὐτῶν
Cui ait Dominus : Vidi afflictionem populi mei in Aegypto , et clamorem ejus audivi propter duritiam eorum qui praesunt operibus :
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ርእየ ፡ ርኢኩ ፡ ሥቃዮሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአውያቶሙ ፡ ሰማዕኩ ፡ እምነዳእተ ፡ ገባር ፡ ወአእመርኩ ፡ ጻዕሮሙ ።
Yahweh said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
3:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֵרֵ֞ד לְהַצִּיל֣וֹ ׀ מִיַּ֣ד מִצְרַ֗יִם וּֽלְהַעֲלֹתוֹ֮ מִן ־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִוא֒ אֶל ־אֶ֤רֶץ טוֹבָה֙ וּרְחָבָ֔ה אֶל ־אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָ֑שׁ אֶל ־מְק֤וֹם הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י וְהַחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִֽי ׃
καὶ κατέβην ἐξελέσθαι αὐτοὺς ἐκ χειρὸς Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἐξαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης καὶ εἰσαγαγεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς γῆν ἀγαθὴν καὶ πολλήν εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι εἰς τὸν τόπον τῶν Χαναναίων καὶ Χετταίων καὶ Αμορραίων καὶ Φερεζαίων καὶ Γεργεσαίων καὶ Ευαίων καὶ Ιεβουσαίων
et sciens dolorem ejus , descendi ut liberem eum de manibus Aegyptiorum , et educam de terra illa in terram bonam , et spatiosam , in terram quae fluit lacte et melle , ad loca Chananaei et Hethaei , et Amorrhaei , et Pherezaei , et Hevaei , et Jebusaei .
ወወረድኩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አድኅኖሙ ፡ እምእደ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወእስዶሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ሠናይት ፡ ወብዝኅት ፡ ወአወፅኦሙ ፡ እምይእቲ ፡ ምድር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ትውኅዝ ፡ ሐሊበ ፡ ወመዓረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መካኖሙ ፡ ለከናኔዎን ፡ ወለኬጤዎን ፡ ወለአሞሬዎን ፡ ወለፌሬዜዎን ፡ ወለኤዌዎን ፡ ወለጌ [ር ]ጌሴዎን ፡ ወለኢያ [ቡ ]ሴዎን ።
I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
3:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּ֕ה הִנֵּ֛ה צַעֲקַ֥ת בְּנֵי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בָּ֣אָה אֵלָ֑י וְגַם ־רָאִ֙יתִי֙ אֶת ־הַלַּ֔חַץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִצְרַ֖יִם לֹחֲצִ֥ים אֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ κραυγὴ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ ἥκει πρός με κἀγὼ ἑώρακα τὸν θλιμμόν ὃν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι θλίβουσιν αὐτούς
Clamor ergo filiorum Israël venit ad me : vidique afflictionem eorum , qua ab Aegyptiis opprimuntur .
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ገዓሮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በጽሐ ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ወርኢኩ ፡ አነ ፡ ሥቃዮሙ ፡ ዘይሣቅይዎሙ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
3:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעַתָּ֣ה לְכָ֔ה וְאֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֖ אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְהוֹצֵ֛א אֶת ־עַמִּ֥י בְנֵֽי ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִמִּצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ νῦν δεῦρο ἀποστείλω σε πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξάξεις τὸν λαόν μου τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Sed veni , et mittam te ad Pharaonem , ut educas populum meum , filios Israël , de Aegypto .
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ነዓ ፡ እፈኑከ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወታወጽእ ፡ ሕዝብየ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
3:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל ־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים מִ֣י אָנֹ֔כִי כִּ֥י אֵלֵ֖ךְ אֶל ־פַּרְעֹ֑ה וְכִ֥י אוֹצִ֛יא אֶת ־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מִמִּצְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὸν θεόν τίς εἰμι ὅτι πορεύσομαι πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ὅτι ἐξάξω τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Dixitque Moyses ad Deum : Quis sum ego ut vadam ad Pharaonem , et educam filios Israël de Aegypto ?
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ መኑ ፡ አነ ፡ ከመ ፡ እሑር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወከመ ፡ አውጽኦሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
3:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ כִּֽי ־אֶֽהְיֶ֣ה עִמָּ֔ךְ וְזֶה ־לְּךָ֣ הָא֔וֹת כִּ֥י אָנֹכִ֖י שְׁלַחְתִּ֑יךָ בְּהוֹצִֽיאֲךָ֤ אֶת ־הָעָם֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם תַּֽעַבְדוּן֙ אֶת ־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים עַ֖ל הָהָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה ׃
εἶπεν δὲ ὁ θεὸς Μωυσεῖ λέγων ὅτι ἔσομαι μετὰ σοῦ καὶ τοῦτό σοι τὸ σημεῖον ὅτι ἐγώ σε ἐξαποστέλλω ἐν τῷ ἐξαγαγεῖν σε τὸν λαόν μου ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ λατρεύσετε τῷ θεῷ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ
Qui dixit ei : Ego ero tecum : et hoc habebis signum , quod miserim te : cum eduxeris populum meum de Aegypto , immolabis Deo super montem istum .
ወይቤሉ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ሀለውኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወዝንቱ ፡ ተአምር ፡ ለከ ፡ ከመ ፡ አነ ፡ እፌንወከ ፡ ሶበ ፡ አውጻእካሆሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ እምብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወትፀመድዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በዝ ፡ ደብር ።
He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
3:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶל ־הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֣י בָא֮ אֶל ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וְאָמַרְתִּ֣י לָהֶ֔ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם שְׁלָחַ֣נִי אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם וְאָֽמְרוּ ־לִ֣י מַה ־שְּׁמ֔וֹ מָ֥ה אֹמַ֖ר אֲלֵהֶֽם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς τὸν θεόν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐλεύσομαι πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρῶ πρὸς αὐτούς ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐρωτήσουσίν με τί ὄνομα αὐτῷ τί ἐρῶ πρὸς αὐτούς
Ait Moyses ad Deum : Ecce ego vadam ad filios Israël , et dicam eis : Deus patrum vestrorum misit me ad vos . Si dixerint mihi : Quod est nomen ejus ? quid dicam eis ?
ወይቤሎ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ አሐውር ፡ ኀበ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወእብሎሙ ፡ አምለከ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ ፈነወኒ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ ወይስ [እ ]ሉኒ ፡ ስሞሂ ፡ ምንተ ፡ እብሎሙ ።
Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what should I tell them?”
3:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽהְיֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם ׃
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ὤν καὶ εἶπεν οὕτως ἐρεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ὁ ὢν ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑμᾶς
Dixit Deus ad Moysen : Ego sum qui sum . Ait : Sic dices filiis Israël : Qui est , misit me ad vos .
ወይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አነ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ትብሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ዘሀሎ ፡ ፈነወኒ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ።
God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
3:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ ע֨וֹד אֱלֹהִ֜ים אֶל ־מֹשֶׁ֗ה כֹּֽה ־תֹאמַר֮ אֶל ־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֗ם אֱלֹהֵ֨י אַבְרָהָ֜ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֛ק וֵאלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹ֖ב שְׁלָחַ֣נִי אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם זֶה ־שְּׁמִ֣י לְעֹלָ֔ם וְזֶ֥ה זִכְרִ֖י לְדֹ֥ר דֹּֽר ׃
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πάλιν πρὸς Μωυσῆν οὕτως ἐρεῖς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν θεὸς Αβρααμ καὶ θεὸς Ισαακ καὶ θεὸς Ιακωβ ἀπέσταλκέν με πρὸς ὑμᾶς τοῦτό μού ἐστιν ὄνομα αἰώνιον καὶ μνημόσυνον γενεῶν γενεαῖς
Dixitque iterum Deus ad Moysen : Haec dices filiis Israël : Dominus Deus patrum vestrorum , Deus Abraham , Deus Isaac et Deus Jacob , misit me ad vos : hoc nomen mihi est in aeternum , et hoc memoriale meum in generationem et generationem .
ወዓዲ ፡ ይቤሎ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሙሴ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ትብሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ እግዚእ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ ፈነወኒ ፡ ኀቤክሙ ፡ ዝውእቱ ፡ ስምየ ፡ ዘለዓለም ፡ ወዝክርየ ፡ ለትውልደ ፡ ትውልድ ።
God said moreover to Moses, “You shall tell the children of Israel this, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.
3:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֵ֣ךְ וְאָֽסַפְתָּ֞ אֶת ־זִקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֤ אֲלֵהֶם֙ יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י אֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ נִרְאָ֣ה אֵלַ֔י אֱלֹהֵ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם יִצְחָ֥ק וְיַעֲקֹ֖ב לֵאמֹ֑ר פָּקֹ֤ד פָּקַ֙דְתִּי֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וְאֶת ־הֶעָשׂ֥וּי לָכֶ֖ם בְּמִצְרָֽיִם ׃
ἐλθὼν οὖν συνάγαγε τὴν γερουσίαν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ὦπταί μοι θεὸς Αβρααμ καὶ θεὸς Ισαακ καὶ θεὸς Ιακωβ λέγων ἐπισκοπῇ ἐπέσκεμμαι ὑμᾶς καὶ ὅσα συμβέβηκεν ὑμῖν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ
Vade , et congrega seniores Israël , et dices ad eos : Dominus Deus patrum vestrorum apparuit mihi , Deus Abraham , Deus Isaac et Deus Jacob , dicens : Visitans visitavi vos : et vidi omnia quae acciderunt vobis in Aegypto .
ወመ [ጺአከ ] ፡ አአስተጋብእ ፡ ርሥኣኒክሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወትብሎሙ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ አስተርአየኒ ፡ አምላከ ፡ አብርሃም ፡ ወአምላከ ፡ ይስሐቅ ፡ ወአምላከ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይብል ፡ ኀውጾ ፡ ኀወጽኩክሙ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እንተ ፡ በጽሐተክሙ ፡ በብሔረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.
3:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֹמַ֗ר אַעֲלֶ֣ה אֶתְכֶם֮ מֵעֳנִ֣י מִצְרַ֒יִם֒ אֶל ־אֶ֤רֶץ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ וְהַ֣חִתִּ֔י וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙ וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י וְהַחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִ֑י אֶל ־אֶ֛רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב וּדְבָֽשׁ ׃
καὶ εἶπον ἀναβιβάσω ὑμᾶς ἐκ τῆς κακώσεως τῶν Αἰγυπτίων εἰς τὴν γῆν τῶν Χαναναίων καὶ Χετταίων καὶ Αμορραίων καὶ Φερεζαίων καὶ Γεργεσαίων καὶ Ευαίων καὶ Ιεβουσαίων εἰς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι
Et dixi ut educam vos de afflictione Aegypti in terram Chananaei , et Hethaei , et Amorrhaei , et Pherezaei , et Hevaei , et Jebusaei , ad terram fluentem lacte et melle .
ወእቤ ፡ እንሣእክሙ ፡ እምሥቃየ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአዐርገክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናኔዎን ፡ ወኬጤዎን ፡ ወኤዌዎን ፡ ወአሞሬዎን ፡ ወፌሬዜዎን ፡ ወጌርጌሴዎን ፡ ወኢያ [ቡ ]ሴዎን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ ትውኅዝ ፡ ሐሊበ ፡ ወመዓረ ።
I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
3:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁמְע֖וּ לְקֹלֶ֑ךָ וּבָאתָ֡ אַתָּה֩ וְזִקְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶל ־מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֗יִם וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֤ם אֵלָיו֙ יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י הָֽעִבְרִיִּים֙ נִקְרָ֣ה עָלֵ֔ינוּ וְעַתָּ֗ה נֵֽלְכָה ־נָּ֞א דֶּ֣רֶךְ שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר וְנִזְבְּחָ֖ה לַֽיהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ ׃
καὶ εἰσακούσονταί σου τῆς φωνῆς καὶ εἰσελεύσῃ σὺ καὶ ἡ γερουσία Ισραηλ πρὸς Φαραω βασιλέα Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτόν ὁ θεὸς τῶν Εβραίων προσκέκληται ἡμᾶς πορευσώμεθα οὖν ὁδὸν τριῶν ἡμερῶν εἰς τὴν ἔρημον ἵνα θύσωμεν τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν
Et audient vocem tuam : ingredierisque tu , et seniores Israël , ad regem Aegypti , et dices ad eum : Dominus Deus Hebraeorum vocavit nos : ibimus viam trium dierum in solitudinem , ut immolemus Domino Deo nostro .
ወይሰምዑ ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ወትበውእ ፡ አንተ ፡ ወአእሩገ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኀበ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወትብሎ ፡ እግዚእ ፡ አምላከ ፡ ዕብራዊያን ፡ ጸውዐነ ፡ ወንሑር ፡ እንከ ፡ ምሕዋረ ፡ ሠሉስ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሐቅል ፡ ከመ ፡ ንሡዕ ፡ ለእግዚእ ፡ አምላክነ ።
They will listen to your voice. You shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh, our God.’
3:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲנִ֣י יָדַ֔עְתִּי כִּ֠י לֹֽא ־יִתֵּ֥ן אֶתְכֶ֛ם מֶ֥לֶךְ מִצְרַ֖יִם לַהֲלֹ֑ךְ וְלֹ֖א בְּיָ֥ד חֲזָקָֽה ׃
ἐγὼ δὲ οἶδα ὅτι οὐ προήσεται ὑμᾶς Φαραω βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου πορευθῆναι ἐὰν μὴ μετὰ χειρὸς κραταιᾶς
Sed ego scio quod non dimittet vos rex Aegypti ut eatis nisi per manum validam .
ወአነ ፡ አአምር ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢያበውሐክሙ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ትፃኡ ፡ እንበለ ፡ በእድ ፡ ጽንዕት ።
I know that the king of Egypt won’t give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand.
3:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁלַחְתִּ֤י אֶת ־יָדִי֙ וְהִכֵּיתִ֣י אֶת ־מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּכֹל֙ נִפְלְאֹתַ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה בְּקִרְבּ֑וֹ וְאַחֲרֵי ־כֵ֖ן יְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶתְכֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα πατάξω τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς θαυμασίοις μου οἷς ποιήσω ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐξαποστελεῖ ὑμᾶς
Extendam enim manum meam , et percutiam Aegyptum in cunctis mirabilibus meis , quae facturus sum in medio eorum : post haec dimittet vos .
ወእሰፍሕ ፡ እዴየ ፡ ወእቀትሎሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መድምምየ ፡ ዘእገብር ፡ ቦሙ ፡ ወእምድኅረዝ ፡ ይፌንወክሙ ።
I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let you go.
3:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתִּ֛י אֶת ־חֵ֥ן הָֽעָם ־הַזֶּ֖ה בְּעֵינֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם וְהָיָה֙ כִּ֣י תֵֽלֵכ֔וּן לֹ֥א תֵלְכ֖וּ רֵיקָֽם ׃
καὶ δώσω χάριν τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ἐναντίον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ὅταν δὲ ἀποτρέχητε οὐκ ἀπελεύσεσθε κενοί
Daboque gratiam populo huic coram Aegyptiis : et cum egrediemini , non exibitis vacui :
ወእሁቦ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ ወአመ ፡ ተሐውሩ ፡ ኢትወፅኡ ፡ ዕራቃኒክሙ ።
I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed.
3:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשָׁאֲלָ֨ה אִשָּׁ֤ה מִשְּׁכֶנְתָּהּ֙ וּמִגָּרַ֣ת בֵּיתָ֔הּ כְּלֵי ־כֶ֛סֶף וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָ֖ב וּשְׂמָלֹ֑ת וְשַׂמְתֶּ֗ם עַל ־בְּנֵיכֶם֙ וְעַל ־בְּנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם וְנִצַּלְתֶּ֖ם אֶת ־מִצְרָֽיִם ׃
αἰτήσει γυνὴ παρὰ γείτονος καὶ συσκήνου αὐτῆς σκεύη ἀργυρᾶ καὶ χρυσᾶ καὶ ἱματισμόν καὶ ἐπιθήσετε ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ὑμῶν καὶ σκυλεύσετε τοὺς Αἰγυπτίους
sed postulabit mulier a vicina sua et ab hospita sua , vasa argentea et aurea , ac vestes : ponetisque eas super filios et filias vestras , et spoliabitis Aegyptum .
አላ ፡ ታስተውሕስ ፡ ብእሲት ፡ እምጎራ ፡ ወእምኅደርታ ፡ ንዋየ ፡ ብሩር ፡ ወወርቅ ፡ ወልብስ ፡ ወደይዎ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ደቂቅክሙ ፡ ወዲበ ፡ አዋልዲክሙ ፡ ወተሐበልይዎሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ።
But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing. You shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”
