23:1
וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :
ወነበበኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ወይቤለኒ።
Yahweh’s word came again to me, saying,
23:2
בֶּן־אָדָ֑ם שְׁתַּ֣יִם נָשִׁ֔ים בְּנ֥וֹת אֵם־אַחַ֖ת הָיֽוּ׃
υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου δύο γυναῖκες ἦσαν θυγατέρες μητρὸς μιᾶς
Fili hominis, duae mulieres filiae matris unius fuerunt :
ወልደ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው፣፡ ክልኤቲ፡ አንስት፡ አዋልደ፡ አሐቲ፡ ብእሲት፡ እማንቱ።
“Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother.
23:3
וַתִּזְנֶ֣ינָה בְמִצְרַ֔יִם בִּנְעוּרֵיהֶ֖ן זָנ֑וּ שָׁ֚מָּה מֹעֲכ֣וּ שְׁדֵיהֶ֔ן וְשָׁ֣ם עִשּׂ֔וּ דַּדֵּ֖י בְּתוּלֵיהֶֽן׃
καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσαν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν τῇ νεότητι αὐτῶν ἐκεῖ ἔπεσον οἱ μαστοὶ αὐτῶν ἐκεῖ διεπαρθενεύθησαν
et fornicatae sunt in Aegypto, in adolescentia sua fornicatae sunt : ibi subacta sunt ubera earum, et fractae sunt mammae pubertatis earum.
ወዘመዋ፡ በብሔረ፡ ግብጽ፡ እንዘ፡ ደናግል፡ እማንቱ፡ ወዘመዋ፡ ወበህየ፡ ወድቃ፡ አጥባቲሆን፡ ወበህየ፡ ሰበርዎን።
They played the prostitute in Egypt. They played the prostitute in their youth. Their breasts were fondled there, and their youthful nipples were caressed there.
23:4
וּשְׁמוֹתָ֗ן אׇהֳלָ֤ה הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ וְאׇהֳלִיבָ֣ה אֲחוֹתָ֔הּ וַתִּהְיֶ֣ינָה לִ֔י וַתֵּלַ֖דְנָה בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֑וֹת וּשְׁמוֹתָ֕ן שֹׁמְר֣וֹן אׇהֳלָ֔ה וִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם אׇהֳלִיבָֽה׃
καὶ τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν ἦν Οολα ἡ πρεσβυτέρα καὶ Οολιβα ἡ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐγένοντό μοι καὶ ἔτεκον υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Σαμάρεια ἡ Οολα καὶ Ιερουσαλημ ἡ Οολιβα
Nomina autem earum, Oolla major, et Ooliba soror ejus minor : et habui eas, et pepererunt filios et filias. Porro earum nomina, Samaria Oolla, et Jerusalem Ooliba.
ወአስማቲሆን፡ እንተ፡ ትልህቅ፡ ሐላ፡ ወእንተ፡ ትንእስ፡ ሐሊባ፡ እኅታ። ወአውሰብክዎን፡ ወወለዳ፡ ሊተ፡ አዋልደ፡ ወደቂቀ። ወአስማቲሆን፡ ለሐላ፡ ሰማርያ፡ ወለሐሊባ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
Their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister. They became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
23:5
וַתִּ֥זֶן אׇהֳלָ֖ה תַּחְתָּ֑י וַתֶּעְגַּב֙ עַֽל־מְאַהֲבֶ֔יהָ אֶל־אַשּׁ֖וּר קְרוֹבִֽים׃
καὶ ἐξεπόρνευσεν ἡ Οολα ἀπ’ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐπέθετο ἐπὶ τοὺς ἐραστὰς αὐτῆς ἐπὶ τοὺς Ἀσσυρίους τοὺς ἐγγίζοντας αὐτῇ
Fornicata est igitur super me Oolla, et insanivit in amatores suos, in Assyrios propinquantes,
ወዘመወት፡ ሐላ፡ እምኔየ፡ ወተለወቶሙ፡ ለመሐዛኒሃ፣፡ ለፋርስ፡ እለ፡ ይቀርብዋ።
“Oholah played the prostitute when she was mine. She doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,
23:6
לְבֻשֵׁ֤י תְכֵ֙לֶת֙ פַּח֣וֹת וּסְגָנִ֔ים בַּח֥וּרֵי חֶ֖מֶד כֻּלָּ֑ם פָּרָשִׁ֕ים רֹכְבֵ֖י סוּסִֽים׃
ἐνδεδυκότας ὑακίνθινα ἡγουμένους καὶ στρατηγούς νεανίσκοι ἐπίλεκτοι πάντες ἱππεῖς ἱππαζόμενοι ἐφ’ ἵππων
vestitos hyacintho, principes et magistratus, juvenes cupidinis, universos equites, ascensores equorum.
በአልባሰ፡ ደርከኖ፡ ተላቢሶሙ፡ መሳፍንት፡ ወመኳንንት፡ ወወራዙት፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ኅሩያን፡ መስተፅዕናነ፡ አፍራስ።
who were clothed with blue—governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses.
23:7
וַתִּתֵּ֤ן תַּזְנוּתֶ֙יהָ֙ עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם מִבְחַ֥ר בְּנֵֽי־אַשּׁ֖וּר כֻּלָּ֑ם וּבְכֹ֧ל אֲשֶׁר־עָגְבָ֛ה בְּכׇל־גִּלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ם נִטְמָֽאָה׃
καὶ ἔδωκεν τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς ἐπ’ αὐτούς ἐπίλεκτοι υἱοὶ Ἀσσυρίων πάντες καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας οὓς ἐπέθετο ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἐνθυμήμασιν αὐτῆς ἐμιαίνετο
Et dedit fornicationes suas super eos electos, filios Assyriorum universos : et in omnibus in quos insanivit, in immunditiis eorum polluta est.
ወወሀበቶሙ፡ ወዘመወት፡ ምስሌሆሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ፋርስ፡ ኅሩያን፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ወምስለ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ አፍቀረቶሙ፣፡ ወረኵሰት፡ ቦሙ።
She gave herself as a prostitute to them, all of them the choicest men of Assyria. She defiled herself with the idols of whomever she lusted after.
23:8
וְאֶת־תַּזְנוּתֶ֤יהָ מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ לֹ֣א עָזָ֔בָה כִּ֤י אוֹתָהּ֙ שָׁכְב֣וּ בִנְעוּרֶ֔יהָ וְהֵ֥מָּה עִשּׂ֖וּ דַּדֵּ֣י בְתוּלֶ֑יהָ וַיִּשְׁפְּכ֥וּ תַזְנוּתָ֖ם עָלֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπεν ὅτι μετ’ αὐτῆς ἐκοιμῶντο ἐν νεότητι αὐτῆς καὶ αὐτοὶ διεπαρθένευσαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐξέχεαν τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῶν ἐπ’ αὐτήν
Insuper et fornicationes suas, quas habuerat in Aegypto, non reliquit : nam et illi dormierunt cum ea in adolescentia ejus, et illi confregerunt ubera pubertatis ejus, et effuderunt fornicationem suam super eam.
ወኢኀደገት፡ ዝሙታ፡ ዘእምብሔረ፡ ግብጽ፡ እስመ፡ ምስሌሃ፡ ይሰክቡ፡ እምንእሳ፡ ወእሙንቱ፡ ሰበርዋ፡ ወከዐዉ፡ ዝንየቶሙ፡ ዲቤሃ።
She hasn’t left her prostitution since leaving Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her. They caressed her youthful nipples and they poured out their prostitution on her.
23:9
לָכֵ֥ן נְתַתִּ֖יהָ בְּיַד־מְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָ בְּיַד֙ בְּנֵ֣י אַשּׁ֔וּר אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָגְבָ֖ה עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
διὰ τοῦτο παρέδωκα αὐτὴν εἰς χεῖρας τῶν ἐραστῶν αὐτῆς εἰς χεῖρας υἱῶν Ἀσσυρίων ἐφ’ οὓς ἐπετίθετο
Propterea tradidi eam in manus amatorum suorum, in manus filiorum Assur, super quorum insanivit libidine.
በበየነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ አግባእክዋ፡ ውስተ፡ እደ፡ መሐዛኒሃ፣፡ ውስተ፡ እዴሆሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ፋርስ፡ እለ፡ አፍቀረት።
“Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians on whom she doted.
23:10
הֵ֘מָּה֮ גִּלּ֣וּ עֶרְוָתָהּ֒ בָּנֶ֤יהָ וּבְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ לָקָ֔חוּ וְאוֹתָ֖הּ בַּחֶ֣רֶב הָרָ֑גוּ וַתְּהִי־שֵׁם֙ לַנָּשִׁ֔ים וּשְׁפוּטִ֖ים עָ֥שׂוּ בָֽהּ׃ {ס}
αὐτοὶ ἀπεκάλυψαν τὴν αἰσχύνην αὐτῆς υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας αὐτῆς ἔλαβον καὶ αὐτὴν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ ἀπέκτειναν καὶ ἐγένετο λάλημα εἰς γυναῖκας καὶ ἐποίησαν ἐκδικήσεις ἐν αὐτῇ εἰς τὰς θυγατέρας
Ipsi discooperuerunt ignominiam ejus, filios et filias ejus tulerunt, et ipsam occiderunt gladio : et factae sunt famosae mulieres, et judicia perpetraverunt in ea.
ወእሙንቱ፡ ቀፈጽዋ፡ ኃፍረታ፡ ወነሥኡ፡ ደቂቃ፡ ወአዋልዲሃ፡ ወቀተልዋ፡ በኲናት፡ ኪያሃኒ። ወኮነት፡ ነገረ፡ ለአንስት፡ ወገብሩ፡ በቀለ፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ ወበላዕለ፡ አዋልዲሃ።
These uncovered her nakedness. They took her sons and her daughters, and they killed her with the sword. She became a byword among women; for they executed judgments on her.
23:11
וַתֵּ֙רֶא֙ אֲחוֹתָ֣הּ אׇהֳלִיבָ֔ה וַתַּשְׁחֵ֥ת עַגְבָתָ֖הּ מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְאֶ֨ת־תַּזְנוּתֶ֔יהָ מִזְּנוּנֵ֖י אֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃
καὶ εἶδεν ἡ ἀδελφὴ αὐτῆς Οολιβα καὶ διέφθειρε τὴν ἐπίθεσιν αὐτῆς ὑπὲρ αὐτὴν καὶ τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς ὑπὲρ τὴν πορνείαν τῆς ἀδελφῆς αὐτῆς
Quod cum vidisset soror ejus Ooliba, plus quam illa insanivit libidine, et fornicationem suam super fornicationem sororis suae :
ወርእየት፡ ሐሊባ፡ እኅታ፡ ወረኵሰት፡ በዝሙታ፡ እምኔሃ፡ ወአፈድፈደት፡ ዝሙታ፡ እምእኅታ።
“Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she was more corrupt in her lusting than she, and in her prostitution which was more depraved than the prostitution of her sister.
23:12
אֶל־בְּנֵי֩ אַשּׁ֨וּר עָגָ֜בָה פַּח֨וֹת וּסְגָנִ֤ים קְרֹבִים֙ לְבֻשֵׁ֣י מִכְל֔וֹל פָּרָשִׁ֖ים רֹכְבֵ֣י סוּסִ֑ים בַּח֥וּרֵי חֶ֖מֶד כֻּלָּֽם׃
ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν Ἀσσυρίων ἐπέθετο ἡγουμένους καὶ στρατηγοὺς τοὺς ἐγγὺς αὐτῆς ἐνδεδυκότας εὐπάρυφα ἱππεῖς ἱππαζομένους ἐφ’ ἵππων νεανίσκοι ἐπίλεκτοι πάντες
ad filios Assyriorum praebuit impudenter, ducibus et magistratibus ad se venientibus, indutis veste varia, equitibus qui vectabantur equis, et adolescentibus forma cunctis egregia.
ምስለ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ፋርስ፡ ወአፍቀረት፡ መሳፍንቲሆሙ፡ ወመኳንንቲሆሙ፡ እለ፡ ይቀርብዋ፡ በአልባሰ፡ ሲራይ፣፡ መስተፅዕናነ፡ አፍራስ፡ ኵሎሙ፡ ወራዙት፡ ኅሩያን።
She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and rulers—her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.
23:13
וָאֵ֖רֶא כִּ֣י נִטְמָ֑אָה דֶּ֥רֶךְ אֶחָ֖ד לִשְׁתֵּיהֶֽן׃
καὶ εἶδον ὅτι μεμίανται ὁδὸς μία τῶν δύο
Et vidi quod polluta esset via una ambarum.
ወርኢኩ፡ ከመ፡ ረኵሳ፡ ወአሐቲ፡ ፍኖቶን፡ ለክልኤሆን።
I saw that she was defiled. They both went the same way.
23:14
וַתּ֖וֹסֶף אֶל־תַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָ וַתֵּ֗רֶא אַנְשֵׁי֙ מְחֻקֶּ֣ה עַל־הַקִּ֔יר צַלְמֵ֣י (כשדיים) [כַשְׂדִּ֔ים] חֲקֻקִ֖ים בַּשָּׁשַֽׁר׃
καὶ προσέθετο πρὸς τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς καὶ εἶδεν ἄνδρας ἐζωγραφημένους ἐπὶ τοῦ τοίχου εἰκόνας Χαλδαίων ἐζωγραφημένους ἐν γραφίδι
Et auxit fornicationes suas : cumque vidisset viros depictos in pariete, imagines Chaldaeorum expressas coloribus,
ወዳግሚት፡ ዘመወት፡ ወርእየት፡ አምሳለ፡ ዕደወ፡ ፋርስ፡ ሥዑላን፡ ውስተ፡ አረፍት።
“She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with red,
23:15
חֲגוֹרֵ֨י אֵז֜וֹר בְּמׇתְנֵיהֶ֗ם סְרוּחֵ֤י טְבוּלִים֙ בְּרָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔ם מַרְאֵ֥ה שָׁלִשִׁ֖ים כֻּלָּ֑ם דְּמ֤וּת בְּנֵֽי־בָבֶל֙ כַּשְׂדִּ֔ים אֶ֖רֶץ מוֹלַדְתָּֽם׃
ἐζωσμένους ποικίλματα ἐπὶ τὰς ὀσφύας αὐτῶν καὶ τιάραι βαπταὶ ἐπὶ τῶν κεφαλῶν αὐτῶν ὄψις τρισσὴ πάντων ὁμοίωμα υἱῶν Χαλδαίων γῆς πατρίδος αὐτῶν
et accinctos balteis renes, et tiaras tinctas in capitibus eorum, formam ducum omnium, similitudinem filiorum Babylonis, terraeque Chaldaeorum, in qua orti sunt,
ወአርአያ፡ ከለዳውያን፡ ሥዑላን፡ በኰራፒታ፡ ወቅኑታነ፡ ዐስቅ፡ ውስተ፡ ሐቌሆሙ፡ ወአልባሰ፡ ርፍዕ፡ ውስተ፡ ርእሶሙ፡ ወትሥልስት፡ ገጾሙ፣፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ ይመስሉ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ባቢሎን፡ እለ፡ ብሔረ፡ ፋርስ፡ ሀገሮሙ።
dressed with belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like princes, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.
23:16
(ותעגב) [וַתַּעְגְּבָ֥ה] עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לְמַרְאֵ֣ה עֵינֶ֑יהָ וַתִּשְׁלַ֧ח מַלְאָכִ֛ים אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם כַּשְׂדִּֽימָה׃
καὶ ἐπέθετο ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς τῇ ὁράσει ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν ἀγγέλους πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς γῆν Χαλδαίων
insanivit super eos concupiscentia oculorum suorum, et misit nuntios ad eos in Chaldaeam.
ወአንሥአት፡ ዐናይ፡ መንገሌሆሙ፡ ወነጸረቶሙ፣፡ ወፈነወት፡ ሀዋርያተ፡ ኀቤሆሙ፡ ብሔረ፡ ፋርስ።
As soon as she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them into Chaldea.
23:17
וַיָּבֹ֨אוּ אֵלֶ֤יהָ בְנֵֽי־בָבֶל֙ לְמִשְׁכַּ֣ב דֹּדִ֔ים וַיְטַמְּא֥וּ אוֹתָ֖הּ בְּתַזְנוּתָ֑ם וַתִּ֨טְמָא־בָ֔ם וַתֵּ֥קַע נַפְשָׁ֖הּ מֵהֶֽם׃
καὶ ἤλθοσαν πρὸς αὐτὴν υἱοὶ Βαβυλῶνος εἰς κοίτην καταλυόντων καὶ ἐμίαινον αὐτὴν ἐν τῇ πορνείᾳ αὐτῆς καὶ ἐμιάνθη ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἀπέστη ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῆς ἀπ’ αὐτῶν
Cumque venissent ad eam filii Babylonis ad cubile mammarum, polluerunt eam stupris suis : et polluta est ab eis, et saturata est anima ejus ab illis.
ወመጽኡ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ወይሰክቡ፡ ምስሌሃ፡ ውስተ፡ ምስካባ፡ ወያረኵስዋ፡ በዝሙቶሙ፣፡ ወረኵሰት፡ ቦሙ፡ ወጠለቀት፡ ነፍሳ፡ እምኔሆሙ።
The Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their prostitution. She was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
23:18
וַתְּגַל֙ תַּזְנוּתֶ֔יהָ וַתְּגַ֖ל אֶת־עֶרְוָתָ֑הּ וַתֵּ֤קַע נַפְשִׁי֙ מֵעָלֶ֔יהָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר נָקְעָ֥ה נַפְשִׁ֖י מֵעַ֥ל אֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃
καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν τὴν πορνείαν αὐτῆς καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν τὴν αἰσχύνην αὐτῆς καὶ ἀπέστη ἡ ψυχή μου ἀπ’ αὐτῆς ὃν τρόπον ἀπέστη ἡ ψυχή μου ἀπὸ τῆς ἀδελφῆς αὐτῆς
Denudavit quoque fornicationes suas, et discooperuit ignominiam suam : et recessit anima mea ab ea, sicut recesserat anima mea a sorore ejus :
ወከሠተት፡ ዝሙታ፡ ወከሠተት፡ ኃፍረታ። ወነቀበተኒ፡ ነፍየ፡ እምኔሃ፡ በከመ፡ ነቀበታ፡ ነፍስየ፡ ለእኅታ።
So she uncovered her prostitution and uncovered her nakedness. Then my soul was alienated from her, just like my soul was alienated from her sister.
23:19
וַתַּרְבֶּ֖ה אֶת־תַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָ לִזְכֹּר֙ אֶת־יְמֵ֣י נְעוּרֶ֔יהָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר זָנְתָ֖ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐπλήθυνας τὴν πορνείαν σου τοῦ ἀναμνῆσαι ἡμέρας νεότητός σου ἐν αἷς ἐπόρνευσας ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ
multiplicavit enim fornicationes suas, recordans dies adolescentiae suae, quibus fornicata est in terra Aegypti.
ወአብዛኅኪ፡ ዝሙተኪ፡ ከመ፡ ለተዘክሮ፡ መዋዕለ፡ ንእስኪ፡ ዘአመ፡ ዘሞኪ፡ በግብጽ።
Yet she multiplied her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth, in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt.
23:20
וַֽתַּעְגְּבָ֔ה עַ֖ל פִּֽלַגְשֵׁיהֶ֑ם אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּשַׂר־חֲמוֹרִים֙ בְּשָׂרָ֔ם וְזִרְמַ֥ת סוּסִ֖ים זִרְמָתָֽם׃
καὶ ἐπέθου ἐπὶ τοὺς Χαλδαίους ὧν ἦσαν ὡς ὄνων αἱ σάρκες αὐτῶν καὶ αἰδοῖα ἵππων τὰ αἰδοῖα αὐτῶν
Et insanivit libidine super concubitum eorum, quorum carnes sunt ut carnes asinorum, et sicut fluxus equorum fluxus eorum.
ወአፍቀርኪዮሙ፡ ለደቂቀ፡ ፋርስ፡ እለ፡ መጠነ፡ አድግ፡ ነፍስቶሙ፡ ወከመ፡ እስኪተ፡ ፈረስ፡ እስኪቶሙ።
She lusted after their lovers, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
23:21
וַֽתִּפְקְדִ֔י אֵ֖ת זִמַּ֣ת נְעוּרָ֑יִךְ בַּעְשׂ֤וֹת מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ דַּדַּ֔יִךְ לְמַ֖עַן שְׁדֵ֥י נְעוּרָֽיִךְ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐπεσκέψω τὴν ἀνομίαν νεότητός σου ἃ ἐποίεις ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ ἐν τῷ καταλύματί σου οὗ οἱ μαστοὶ νεότητός σου
Et visitasti scelus adolescentiae tuae, quando subacta sunt in Aegypto ubera tua, et confractae sunt mammae pubertatis tuae.
ወእትመየጣ፡ ለኃጢአተ፡ ንእስኪ፡ ዘገበርኪ፡ በብሔረ፡ ግብጽ፣፡ በማኅደርኪ፡ ዘአመ፡ ንኡስ፡ አጥባትኪ።
Thus you called to memory the lewdness of your youth, in the caressing of your nipples by the Egyptians because of your youthful breasts.
23:22
לָכֵ֣ן אׇהֳלִיבָ֗ה כֹּה־אָמַר֮ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִה֒ הִנְנִ֨י מֵעִ֤יר אֶת־מְאַהֲבַ֙יִךְ֙ עָלַ֔יִךְ אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר־נָקְעָ֥ה נַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ מֵהֶ֑ם וַהֲבֵאתִ֥ים עָלַ֖יִךְ מִסָּבִֽיב׃
διὰ τοῦτο Οολιβα τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξεγείρω τοὺς ἐραστάς σου ἐπὶ σέ ἀφ’ ὧν ἀπέστη ἡ ψυχή σου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπάξω αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ σὲ κυκλόθεν
Propterea, Ooliba, haec dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego suscitabo omnes amatores tuos contra te, de quibus satiata est anima tua, et congregabo eos adversum te in circuitu :
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ሐሊባ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ አነሥኦሙ፡ ለመሐዛንኪ፡ ላዕሌኪ፡ እለ፡ ጠለቀት፡ ነፍስኪ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ ወአመጽኦሙ፡ ዲቤኪ፡ ወየዐግቱኪ።
“Therefore, Oholibah, the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:
23:23
בְּנֵ֧י בָבֶ֣ל וְכׇל־כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים פְּק֤וֹד וְשׁ֙וֹעַ֙ וְק֔וֹעַ כׇּל־בְּנֵ֥י אַשּׁ֖וּר אוֹתָ֑ם בַּח֨וּרֵי חֶ֜מֶד פַּח֤וֹת וּסְגָנִים֙ כֻּלָּ֔ם שָֽׁלִשִׁים֙ וּקְרוּאִ֔ים רֹכְבֵ֥י סוּסִ֖ים כֻּלָּֽם׃
υἱοὺς Βαβυλῶνος καὶ πάντας τοὺς Χαλδαίους Φακουδ καὶ Σουε καὶ Κουε καὶ πάντας υἱοὺς Ἀσσυρίων μετ’ αὐτῶν νεανίσκους ἐπιλέκτους ἡγεμόνας καὶ στρατηγοὺς πάντας τρισσοὺς καὶ ὀνομαστοὺς ἱππεύοντας ἐφ’ ἵππων
filios Babylonis, et universos Chaldaeos, nobiles, tyrannosque, et principes, omnes filios Assyriorum, juvenes forma egregia, duces et magistratus universos, principes principum, et nominatos ascensores equorum :
ደቂቀ፡ ባቢሎን፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ ፋርስ፡ እለ፡ ፋቁድ፡ ወሱሔ፡ ወቁዓ፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ ደቂቀ፡ ፋርስ፡ ምስሌሆሙ፣፡ ወራዙት፡ ኅሩያን፡ ወዓበይት፡ መኳንንት፣፡ ወኵሎሙ፡ በትሥልስት፡ መስተፅዕናነ፡ አፍራስ፡ እለ፡ አስመዩ።
the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; all of them desirable young men, governors and rulers, princes and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.
23:24
וּבָ֣אוּ עָלַ֡יִךְ הֹ֠צֶן רֶ֤כֶב וְגַלְגַּל֙ וּבִקְהַ֣ל עַמִּ֔ים צִנָּ֤ה וּמָגֵן֙ וְקוֹבַ֔ע יָשִׂ֥ימוּ עָלַ֖יִךְ סָבִ֑יב וְנָתַתִּ֤י לִפְנֵיהֶם֙ מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּשְׁפָט֖וּךְ בְּמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶֽם׃
καὶ πάντες ἥξουσιν ἐπὶ σὲ ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ἅρματα καὶ τροχοὶ μετ’ ὄχλου λαῶν θυρεοὶ καὶ πέλται καὶ βαλοῦσιν φυλακὴν ἐπὶ σὲ κύκλῳ καὶ δώσω πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν κρίμα καὶ ἐκδικήσουσίν σε ἐν τοῖς κρίμασιν αὐτῶν
et venient super te instructi curru et rota, multitudo populorum : lorica, et clypeo, et galea armabuntur contra te undique : et dabo coram eis judicium, et judicabunt te judiciis suis.
ኵሎሙ፡ ይመጽኡ፡ ኀቤኪ፡ እመንገለ፡ ደቡብ፡ በሠረገላ፡ ወበመንኰራኵር፡ ምስለ፡ ብዙኃን፡ ሠራዊተ፡ አሕዛብ፣፡ ሰብአ፡ ሐፅ፡ ወኲናት፡ ወጌራ፡ ኃፂን፡ ወያነብሩ፡ መዓቅበ፡ ዲቤኪ፡ እንተ፡ ዐውድኪ።
They will come against you with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you with buckler, shield, and helmet all around. I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their judgments.
23:25
וְנָתַתִּ֨י קִנְאָתִ֜י בָּ֗ךְ וְעָשׂ֤וּ אוֹתָךְ֙ בְּחֵמָ֔ה אַפֵּ֤ךְ וְאׇזְנַ֙יִךְ֙ יָסִ֔ירוּ וְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְ בַּחֶ֣רֶב תִּפּ֑וֹל הֵ֗מָּה בָּנַ֤יִךְ וּבְנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ יִקָּ֔חוּ וְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְ תֵּאָכֵ֥ל בָּאֵֽשׁ׃
καὶ δώσω τὸν ζῆλόν μου ἐν σοί καὶ ποιήσουσιν μετὰ σοῦ ἐν ὀργῇ θυμοῦ μυκτῆρά σου καὶ ὦτά σου ἀφελοῦσιν καὶ τοὺς καταλοίπους σου ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ καταβαλοῦσιν αὐτοὶ υἱούς σου καὶ θυγατέρας σου λήμψονται καὶ τοὺς καταλοίπους σου πῦρ καταφάγεται
Et ponam zelum meum in te, quem exercent tecum in furore : nasum tuum et aures tuas praecident, et quae remanserint, gladio concident. Ipsi filios tuos et filias tuas capient, et novissimum tuum devorabitur igni :
ወእሁብ፡ ኵነኔ፡ ቅድመ፡ ገጾሙ፡ ወይትቤቀሉኪ፡ በኵነኔሆሙ። ወእፌኑ፡ ቅንአትየ፡ ዲቤኪ፡ ወይገብሩ፡ ላዕሌኪ፡ በመዐት። ወይሰቍሩ፡ አንፈኪ፡ ወይሰጕዑ፡ እዝነኪ፣፡ ወለእለ፡ ተርፉ፡ እምውስቴትኪ፡ ያወድቅዎሙ፡ በኲናት። ወይነሥእዎሙ፡ ለደቂቅኪ፡ ወአዋልድኪ፣፡ ወለእለ፡ ተርፉ፡ ትበልዖሙ፡ እሳት።
I will set my jealousy against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will take away your nose and your ears. Your remnant will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and the rest of you will be devoured by the fire.
23:26
וְהִפְשִׁיט֖וּךְ אֶת־בְּגָדָ֑יִךְ וְלָקְח֖וּ כְּלֵ֥י תִפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ׃
καὶ ἐκδύσουσίν σε τὸν ἱματισμόν σου καὶ λήμψονται τὰ σκεύη τῆς καυχήσεώς σου
et denudabunt te vestimentis tuis, et tollent vasa gloriae tuae.
ወይሰልቡኪ፡ አልባሰኪ፡ ወይበረብሩ፡ ሠርጐ፡ ምክሕኪ።
They will also strip you of your clothes and take away your beautiful jewels.
23:27
וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֤י זִמָּתֵךְ֙ מִמֵּ֔ךְ וְאֶת־זְנוּתֵ֖ךְ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וְלֹֽא־תִשְׂאִ֤י עֵינַ֙יִךְ֙ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וּמִצְרַ֖יִם לֹ֥א תִזְכְּרִי־עֽוֹד׃ {פ}
καὶ ἀποστρέψω τὰς ἀσεβείας σου ἐκ σοῦ καὶ τὴν πορνείαν σου ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ οὐ μὴ ἄρῃς τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ Αἰγύπτου οὐ μὴ μνησθῇς οὐκέτι
Et requiescere faciam scelus tuum de te, et fornicationem tuam de terra Aegypti : nec levabis oculos tuos ad eos, et Aegypti non recordaberis amplius.
ወእመይጥ፡ ኃጢአተኪ፡ እምኔኪ፡ ወዝሙተኪ፡ ዘእምብሔረ፡ ግብጽ፡ ወኢታነሥኢ፡ እንከ፡ አዕይንተኪ፡ ኀቤሆሙ፡ ወኢትዜከርዮሙ፡ እንከ፡ ለግብጽ።
Thus I will make your lewdness to cease from you, and remove your prostitution from the land of Egypt, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.’
23:28
כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה הִנְנִי֙ נֹֽתְנָ֔ךְ בְּיַ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׂנֵ֑את בְּיַ֛ד אֲשֶׁר־נָקְעָ֥ה נַפְשֵׁ֖ךְ מֵהֶֽם׃
διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ παραδίδωμί σε εἰς χεῖρας ὧν μισεῖς ἀφ’ ὧν ἀπέστη ἡ ψυχή σου ἀπ’ αὐτῶν
Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego tradam te in manus eorum quos odisti, in manus de quibus satiata est anima tua.
በበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አዶናይ፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ አገብአኪ፡ ውስተ፡ እደ፡ ጸላእትኪ፡ እለ፡ ጠለቀት፡ ነፍስኪ፡ እምኔሆሙ።
“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated.
23:29
וְעָשׂ֨וּ אוֹתָ֜ךְ בְּשִׂנְאָ֗ה וְלָֽקְחוּ֙ כׇּל־יְגִיעֵ֔ךְ וַעֲזָב֖וּךְ עֵירֹ֣ם וְעֶרְיָ֑ה וְנִגְלָה֙ עֶרְוַ֣ת זְנוּנַ֔יִךְ וְזִמָּתֵ֖ךְ וְתַזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃
καὶ ποιήσουσιν ἐν σοὶ ἐν μίσει καὶ λήμψονται πάντας τοὺς πόνους σου καὶ τοὺς μόχθους σου καὶ ἔσῃ γυμνὴ καὶ ἀσχημονοῦσα καὶ ἀποκαλυφθήσεται αἰσχύνη πορνείας σου καὶ ἀσέβειά σου καὶ ἡ πορνεία σου
Et agent tecum in odio, et tollent omnes labores tuos, et dimittent te nudam et ignominia plenam : et revelabitur ignominia fornicationum tuarum, scelus tuum, et fornicationes tuae.
ወይገብሩ፡ ዲቤኪ፡ ዘትጸልኢ፡ ወይበረብሩኪ፡ ኵሎ፡ ፃማኪ፡ ወተግባረኪ፡ ወየኀድጉኪ፡ ዕራቀኪ፡ ወትትኀፈሪ፡ ወይቀፍጹ፡ ኃፍረተኪ፡ ወኃሣረ፡ ዝሙትኪ።
They will deal with you in hatred, and will take away all your labor, and will leave you naked and bare. The nakedness of your prostitution will be uncovered, both your lewdness and your prostitution.
23:30
עָשֹׂ֥ה אֵ֖לֶּה לָ֑ךְ בִּזְנוֹתֵךְ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י גוֹיִ֔ם עַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־נִטְמֵ֖את בְּגִלּוּלֵיהֶֽם׃
ἐποίησεν ταῦτά σοι ἐν τῷ ἐκπορνεῦσαί σε ὀπίσω ἐθνῶν καὶ ἐμιαίνου ἐν τοῖς ἐνθυμήμασιν αὐτῶν
Fecerunt haec tibi, quia fornicata es post gentes inter quas polluta es in idolis earum.
ወእገብር፡ ላዕሌኪ፡ ዘንተ፡ ኵሎ፣፡ እስመ፡ ዘሞኪ፡ ወተለውኪዮሙ፡ ለአሕዛብ፡ ወረኰስኪ፡ በጌጋዮሙ።
These things will be done to you because you have played the prostitute after the nations, and because you are polluted with their idols.
23:31
בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ אֲחוֹתֵ֖ךְ הָלָ֑כְתְּ וְנָתַתִּ֥י כוֹסָ֖הּ בְּיָדֵֽךְ׃ {ס}
ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ τῆς ἀδελφῆς σου ἐπορεύθης καὶ δώσω τὸ ποτήριον αὐτῆς εἰς χεῖράς σου
In via sororis tuae ambulasti, et dabo calicem ejus in manu tua.
ወሖርኪ፡ በፍኖተ፡ እኅትኪ፡ ወአገብእ፡ ጽዋዐ፡ እኅትኪ፡ ውስተ፡ እዴኪ።
You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hand.’
23:32
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה כּ֤וֹס אֲחוֹתֵךְ֙ תִּשְׁתִּ֔י הָעֲמֻקָּ֖ה וְהָרְחָבָ֑ה תִּהְיֶ֥ה לִצְחֹ֛ק וּלְלַ֖עַג מִרְבָּ֥ה לְהָכִֽיל׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος τὸ ποτήριον τῆς ἀδελφῆς σου πίεσαι τὸ βαθὺ καὶ τὸ πλατὺ τὸ πλεονάζον τοῦ συντελέσαι
Haec dicit Dominus Deus : Calicem sororis tuae bibes profundum et latum : eris in derisum et in subsannationem quae est capacissima.
ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጽዋዐ፡ እኅትኪ፡ ትሰትዪ፡ ዝኰ፡ ዕሙቀ፡ ወርሒበ፡ ወትከውኒ፡ ሰሐቀ፡ ወሥላቀ፡ በኀበ፡ ብዙኃን፡ እለ፡ ይገብሩ፡ ስታየ፡ ወይክዕዉ።
“The Lord Yahweh says: ‘You will drink of your sister’s cup, which is deep and large. You will be ridiculed and held in derision. It contains much.
23:33
שִׁכָּר֥וֹן וְיָג֖וֹן תִּמָּלֵ֑אִי כּ֚וֹס שַׁמָּ֣ה וּשְׁמָמָ֔ה כּ֖וֹס אֲחוֹתֵ֥ךְ שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃
μέθην καὶ ἐκλύσεως πλησθήσῃ καὶ τὸ ποτήριον ἀφανισμοῦ ποτήριον ἀδελφῆς σου Σαμαρείας
Ebrietate et dolore repleberis : calice moeroris et tristitiae, calice sororis tuae Samariae.
ወይመልኡ፡ ጽዋዐኪ፡ ሙሱነ፡ ወያማስኑ፡ ወትሰትዪ፡ ጽዋዐ፡ እኅትኪ፡ ሰማርያ።
You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.
23:34
וְשָׁתִ֨ית אוֹתָ֜הּ וּמָצִ֗ית וְאֶת־חֲרָשֶׂ֛יהָ תְּגָרֵ֖מִי וְשָׁדַ֣יִךְ תְּנַתֵּ֑קִי כִּ֚י אֲנִ֣י דִבַּ֔רְתִּי נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה׃ {ס}
καὶ πίεσαι αὐτό καὶ τὰς ἑορτὰς καὶ τὰς νεομηνίας αὐτῆς ἀποστρέψω διότι ἐγὼ λελάληκα λέγει κύριος
Et bibes illum, et epotabis usque ad faeces : et fragmenta ejus devorabis, et ubera tua lacerabis, quia ego locutus sum, ait Dominus Deus.
ወትጸውቢዮ፡ ወእሥዕር፡ በዓላተኪ፡ ወአሥርኅተኪ፡ እስመ፡ አነ፡ ነበብኩ፡ ይቤ፡ አዶናይ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
You will even drink it and drain it out. You will gnaw the broken pieces of it, and will tear your breasts; for I have spoken it,’ says the Lord Yahweh.
23:35
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֔ה יַ֚עַן שָׁכַ֣חַתְּ אוֹתִ֔י וַתַּשְׁלִ֥יכִי אוֹתִ֖י אַחֲרֵ֣י גַוֵּ֑ךְ וְגַם־אַ֛תְּ שְׂאִ֥י זִמָּתֵ֖ךְ וְאֶת־תַּזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃ {ס}
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ἐπελάθου μου καὶ ἀπέρριψάς με ὀπίσω τοῦ σώματός σου καὶ σὺ λαβὲ τὴν ἀσέβειάν σου καὶ τὴν πορνείαν σου
Propterea haec dicit Dominus Deus : Quia oblita es mei, et projecisti me post corpus tuum, tu quoque porta scelus tuum et fornicationes tuas.
በበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እስመ፡ ረሳዕክኒ፡ ወአግባእክኒ፡ ድኅረ፡ ዘባንኪ፣፡ ንሥኢ፡ አንቲ፡ ኃጢአተኪ፡ ወዝሙተኪ።
“Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.’”
23:36
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י בֶּן־אָדָ֕ם הֲתִשְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶֽת־אׇהֳלָ֖ה וְאֶת־אׇהֳלִיבָ֑ה וְהַגֵּ֣ד לָהֶ֔ן אֵ֖ת תּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶֽן׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου οὐ κρινεῖς τὴν Οολαν καὶ τὴν Οολιβαν καὶ ἀπαγγελεῖς αὐταῖς τὰς ἀνομίας αὐτῶν
Et ait Dominus ad me, dicens : Fili hominis, numquid judicas Oollam et Oolibam, et annuntias eis scelera earum ?
ወይቤለኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ተዋቀሦን፡ ወልደ፡ እጓለ፡ እመሕያው፡ ለሐሊባ፡ ወለሐላ፡ ወንግሮን፡ ኃጢአቶን።
Yahweh said moreover to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations.
23:37
כִּ֣י נִאֵ֗פוּ וְדָם֙ בִּֽידֵיהֶ֔ן וְאֶת־גִּלּוּלֵיהֶ֖ן נִאֵ֑פוּ וְגַ֤ם אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶן֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָֽלְדוּ־לִ֔י הֶעֱבִ֥ירוּ לָהֶ֖ם לְאׇכְלָֽה׃
ὅτι ἐμοιχῶντο καὶ αἷμα ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν τὰ ἐνθυμήματα αὐτῶν ἐμοιχῶντο καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ἃ ἐγέννησάν μοι διήγαγον αὐτοῖς δῑ ἐμπύρων
Quia adulteratae sunt, et sanguis in manibus earum, et cum idolis suis fornicatae sunt : insuper et filios suos quos genuerunt mihi, obtulerunt eis ad devorandum.
ዘከመ፡ ዘመዋ፡ ወደም፡ ውስተ፡ እዴሆን፣፡ ወፈተዋ፡ ዝሙቶን፡ ወደቂቆንሂ፡ ገብራ፡ መብልዐ፡ ዘወለዳ፡ ሊተ።
For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols. They have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them to be devoured.
23:38
ע֥וֹד זֹ֖את עָ֣שׂוּ לִ֑י טִמְּא֤וּ אֶת־מִקְדָּשִׁי֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא וְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י חִלֵּֽלוּ׃
ἕως καὶ ταῦτα ἐποίησάν μοι τὰ ἅγιά μου ἐμίαινον καὶ τὰ σάββατά μου ἐβεβήλουν
Sed et hoc fecerunt mihi : polluerunt sanctuarium meum in die illa, et sabbata mea profanaverunt.
ወከመዝ፡ ገብራ፡ ሊተ፡ ወአርኰሳ፡ መቅደስየ፡ ውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ወሠዐራ፡ ሰንበታትየ።
Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
23:39
וּֽבְשַׁחֲטָ֤ם אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶם֙ לְגִלּ֣וּלֵיהֶ֔ם וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁ֛י בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא לְחַלְּל֑וֹ וְהִנֵּה־כֹ֥ה עָשׂ֖וּ בְּת֥וֹךְ בֵּיתִֽי׃
καὶ ἐν τῷ σφάζειν αὐτοὺς τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν τοῖς εἰδώλοις αὐτῶν καὶ εἰσεπορεύοντο εἰς τὰ ἅγιά μου τοῦ βεβηλοῦν αὐτά καὶ ὅτι οὕτως ἐποίουν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ οἴκου μου
Cumque immolarent filios suos idolis suis, et ingrederentur sanctuarium meum in die illa ut polluerent illud, etiam haec fecerunt in medio domus meae.
ወዘብሓ፡ ደቂቆን፡ ለአማልክቲሆን፡ ወይበውኣ፡ ቤተ፡ መቅደስየ፡ ውእተ፡ አሚረ፡ ከመ፡ ያርኵሳሁ፡ ወከመዝ፡ ይገብራ፡ በማእከለ፡ ቤትየ።
For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, they have done this in the middle of my house.
23:40
וְאַ֗ף כִּ֤י תִשְׁלַ֙חְנָה֙ לַאֲנָשִׁ֔ים בָּאִ֖ים מִמֶּרְחָ֑ק אֲשֶׁ֨ר מַלְאָ֜ךְ שָׁל֤וּחַ אֲלֵיהֶם֙ וְהִנֵּה־בָ֔אוּ לַאֲשֶׁ֥ר רָחַ֛צְתְּ כָּחַ֥לְתְּ עֵינַ֖יִךְ וְעָדִ֥ית עֶֽדִי׃
καὶ ὅτι τοῖς ἀνδράσιν τοῖς ἐρχομένοις μακρόθεν οἷς ἀγγέλους ἐξαπεστέλλοσαν πρὸς αὐτούς καὶ ἅμα τῷ ἔρχεσθαι αὐτοὺς εὐθὺς ἐλούου καὶ ἐστιβίζου τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς σου καὶ ἐκόσμου κόσμῳ
Miserunt ad viros venientes de longe, ad quos nuntium miserant : itaque ecce venerunt quibus te lavisti, et circumlinisti stibio oculos tuos, et ornata es mundo muliebri.
ወዕደውኒ፡ እለ፡ ይመጽኡ፡ እምርኁቅ፣፡ ሐዋርያት፡ እለ፡ ተፈነዉ፡ ኀቤሆን፣፡ ወእምከመ፡ በጽሑ፡ ኀቤሆን፡ ይትሐፀባ፡ ወይትኰሐላ፡ አዕይንቲሆን፡ ወይሠረገዋ።
“Furthermore you sisters have sent for men who come from far away, to whom a messenger was sent, and behold, they came; for whom you washed yourself, painted your eyes, decorated yourself with ornaments,
23:41
וְיָשַׁבְתְּ֙ עַל־מִטָּ֣ה כְבוּדָּ֔ה וְשֻׁלְחָ֥ן עָר֖וּךְ לְפָנֶ֑יהָ וּקְטׇרְתִּ֥י וְשַׁמְנִ֖י שַׂ֥מְתְּ עָלֶֽיהָ׃
καὶ ἐκάθου ἐπὶ κλίνης ἐστρωμένης καὶ τράπεζα κεκοσμημένη πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ θυμίαμά μου καὶ τὸ ἔλαιόν μου εὐφραίνοντο ἐν αὐτοῖς
Sedisti in lecto pulcherrimo, et mensa ornata est ante te : thymiama meum et unguentum meum posuisti super eam.
ወይነብራ፡ ውስተ፡ ዓራተ፡ ምስካቦን፡ ወሥሩዕ፡ ማእድ፡ ቅድሜሆን። ወይትፌሥሑ፡ በቅብእየ፡ ወበዕጣንየ።
and sat on a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon you set my incense and my oil.
23:42
וְק֣וֹל הָמוֹן֮ שָׁלֵ֣ו בָֿהּ֒ וְאֶל־אֲנָשִׁים֙ מֵרֹ֣ב אָדָ֔ם מוּבָאִ֥ים (סובאים) [סׇבָאִ֖ים] מִמִּדְבָּ֑ר וַֽיִּתְּנ֤וּ צְמִידִים֙ אֶל־יְדֵיהֶ֔ן וַעֲטֶ֥רֶת תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת עַל־רָאשֵׁיהֶֽן׃
καὶ φωνὴν ἁρμονίας ἀνεκρούοντο καὶ πρὸς ἄνδρας ἐκ πλήθους ἀνθρώπων ἥκοντας ἐκ τῆς ἐρήμου καὶ ἐδίδοσαν ψέλια ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν καὶ στέφανον καυχήσεως ἐπὶ τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν
Et vox multitudinis exsultantis erat in ea : et in viris, qui de multitudine hominum adducebantur, et veniebant de deserto, posuerunt armillas in manibus eorum, et coronas speciosas in capitibus eorum.
ወይቃንዩ፡ በቃለ፡ አውታረ፡ መሰንቆየ፡ ወኀበ፡ ዕደው፡ እለ፡ ይቀድሑ፡ ወኀበ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ሰብእ፡ እለ፡ አተዉ፡ እምሐቅል። ወይወድያ፡ አውቃፋተ፡ ውስተ፡ እደዊሆን፡ ወአክሊለ፡ ምክሕ፡ ውስተ፡ ርእሶን።
“The voice of a multitude being at ease was with her. With men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets on their hands, and beautiful crowns on their heads.
23:43
וָאֹמַ֕ר לַבָּלָ֖ה נִֽאוּפִ֑ים (עת) [עַתָּ֛ה] (יזנה) [יִזְנ֥וּ] תַזְנוּתֶ֖הָ וָהִֽיא׃
καὶ εἶπα οὐκ ἐν τούτοις μοιχεύουσιν καὶ ἔργα πόρνης καὶ αὐτὴ ἐξεπόρνευσεν
Et dixi ei, quae attrita est in adulteriis : Nunc fornicabitur in fornicatione sua etiam haec.
ወእቤ፡ በእሉ፡ አኮኑ፡ ይዜምዋ፡ ወይገብራ፡ ከመ፡ ዘማ፡ ወለሊሃ፡ ዘመወት።
Then I said of her who was old in adulteries, ‘Now they will play the prostitute with her, and she with them.’
23:44
וַיָּב֣וֹא אֵלֶ֔יהָ כְּב֖וֹא אֶל־אִשָּׁ֣ה זוֹנָ֑ה כֵּ֣ן בָּ֗אוּ אֶֽל־אׇהֳלָה֙ וְאֶל־אׇ֣הֳלִיבָ֔ה אִשֹּׁ֖ת הַזִּמָּֽה׃
καὶ εἰσεπορεύοντο πρὸς αὐτήν ὃν τρόπον εἰσπορεύονται πρὸς γυναῖκα πόρνην οὕτως εἰσεπορεύοντο πρὸς Οολαν καὶ πρὸς Οολιβαν τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἀνομίαν
Et ingressi sunt ad eam quasi ad mulierem meretricem : sic ingrediebantur ad Oollam et Oolibam, mulieres nefarias.
ወይበውኡ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ከመ፡ ዘይበውእ፡ ኀበ፡ ብእሲት፡ ዘማ፣፡ ከማሁ፡ ይበውኡ፡ ኀበ፡ ሐላ፡ ወሐሊባ፡ ከመ፡ ይግበሩ፡ ኃጢአተ።
They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute. So they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.
23:45
וַאֲנָשִׁ֣ים צַדִּיקִ֗ם הֵ֚מָּה יִשְׁפְּט֣וּ אֽוֹתְהֶ֔ם מִשְׁפַּט֙ נֹֽאֲפ֔וֹת וּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט שֹׁפְכ֣וֹת דָּ֑ם כִּ֤י נֹֽאֲפֹת֙ הֵ֔נָּה וְדָ֖ם בִּידֵיהֶֽן׃ {ס}
καὶ ἄνδρες δίκαιοι αὐτοὶ ἐκδικήσουσιν αὐτὰς ἐκδικήσει μοιχαλίδος καὶ ἐκδικήσει αἵματος ὅτι μοιχαλίδες εἰσίν καὶ αἷμα ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν
Viri ergo justi sunt : hi judicabunt eas judicio adulterarum, et judicio effundentium sanguinem : quia adulterae sunt, et sanguis in manibus earum.
ወዕደው፡ ጻድቃን፡ እሙንቱ፡ እለ፡ ይትቤቀልዎን፡ በቀለ፡ ዘማ፡ ወበቀለ፡ ደም፣፡ እስመ፡ ዘማት፡ እማንቱ፡ ወደም፡ ውስተ፡ እደዊሆን።
Righteous men will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
23:46
כִּ֛י כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה הַעֲלֵ֤ה עֲלֵיהֶם֙ קָהָ֔ל וְנָתֹ֥ן אֶתְהֶ֖ן לְזַעֲוָ֥ה וְלָבַֽז׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος κύριος ἀνάγαγε ἐπ’ αὐτὰς ὄχλον καὶ δὸς ἐν αὐταῖς ταραχὴν καὶ διαρπαγὴν
Haec enim dicit Dominus Deus : Adduc ad eas multitudinem, et trade eas in tumultum et in rapinam.
እስመ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ አዶናይ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አመጽእ፡ ላዕሌሆን፡ ሠራዊተ፡ ወእፌኑ፡ ዲቤሆን፡ ሀከከ፡ ወይበረብርዎን።
“For the Lord Yahweh says: ‘I will bring up a mob against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.
23:47
וְרָגְמ֨וּ עֲלֵיהֶ֥ן אֶ֙בֶן֙ קָהָ֔ל וּבָרֵ֥א אוֹתְהֶ֖ן בְּחַרְבוֹתָ֑ם בְּנֵיהֶ֤ם וּבְנֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ יַהֲרֹ֔גוּ וּבָתֵּיהֶ֖ן בָּאֵ֥שׁ יִשְׂרֹֽפוּ׃
καὶ λιθοβόλησον ἐπ’ αὐτὰς λίθοις ὄχλων καὶ κατακέντει αὐτὰς ἐν τοῖς ξίφεσιν αὐτῶν υἱοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἀποκτενοῦσι καὶ τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν ἐμπρήσουσιν
Et lapidentur lapidibus populorum, et confodiantur gladiis eorum : filios et filias earum interficient, et domos earum igne succendent.
ወይዌግርዎን፡ በእብን፡ አሕዛብ፡ ወይረግዝዎን፡ በመጣብሒሆሙ። ወለደቂቆን፡ ወለአዋልዲሆን፡ ይቀትልዎን፡ ወያውዕዩ፡ አብያቲሆን፡ በእሳት።
The company will stone them with stones and dispatch them with their swords. They will kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
23:48
וְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֥י זִמָּ֖ה מִן־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְנִוַּסְּרוּ֙ כׇּל־הַנָּשִׁ֔ים וְלֹ֥א תַעֲשֶׂ֖ינָה כְּזִמַּתְכֶֽנָה׃
καὶ ἀποστρέψω ἀσέβειαν ἐκ τῆς γῆς καὶ παιδευθήσονται πᾶσαι αἱ γυναῖκες καὶ οὐ μὴ ποιήσουσιν κατὰ τὰς ἀσεβείας αὐτῶν
Et auferam scelus de terra, et discent omnes mulieres ne faciant secundum scelus earum.
ወአአትት፡ ኃጢአተ፡ እምብሔር፡ ወይትቀሠፋ፡ ኵሎን፡ አንስት፡ ወኢይገብራ፡ እንከ፡ ኃጢአተ።
“‘Thus I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to be lewd like you.
23:49
וְנָתְנ֤וּ זִמַּתְכֶ֙נָה֙ עֲלֵיכֶ֔ן וַחֲטָאֵ֥י גִלּוּלֵיכֶ֖ן תִּשֶּׂ֑אינָה וִידַעְתֶּ֕ם כִּ֥י אֲנִ֖י אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ δοθήσεται ἡ ἀσέβεια ὑμῶν ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας τῶν ἐνθυμημάτων ὑμῶν λήμψεσθε καὶ γνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος
Et dabunt scelus vestrum super vos, et peccata idolorum vestrorum portabitis : et scietis quia ego Dominus Deus.
ወይገብእ፡ ጌጋይክሙ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ ወትትፈደዩ፡ ኃጢአተ፡ ሕሊናክሙ፡ ወተአምሩ፡ ከመ፡ አነ፡ ውእቱ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
They will recompense your lewdness on you, and you will bear the sins of your idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.’”
