11:1
וַיְהִ֥י כׇל־הָאָ֖רֶץ שָׂפָ֣ה אֶחָ֑ת וּדְבָרִ֖ים אֲחָדִֽים׃
καὶ ἦν πᾶσα ἡ γῆ χεῖλος ἕν καὶ φωνὴ μία πᾶσιν
Erat autem terra labii unius, et sermonum eorumdem.
ወአሐዱ ፡ ነገሩ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ዓለም ፡ ወአሐዱ ፡ ቀሉ ።
The whole earth was of one language and of one speech.
11:2
וַיְהִ֖י בְּנׇסְעָ֣ם מִקֶּ֑דֶם וַֽיִּמְצְא֥וּ בִקְעָ֛ה בְּאֶ֥רֶץ שִׁנְעָ֖ר וַיֵּ֥שְׁבוּ שָֽׁם׃
καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ κινῆσαι αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν εὗρον πεδίον ἐν γῇ Σεννααρ καὶ κατῴκησαν ἐκεῖ
Cumque proficiscerentur de oriente, invenerunt campum in terra Sennaar, et habitaverunt in eo.
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ተንሥኡ ፡ እምጽባሕ ፡ ረከቡ ፡ ገዳመ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ሰናአር ፡ ወኀደሩ ፡ ህየ ።
As they traveled east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they lived there.
11:3
וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֗הוּ הָ֚בָה נִלְבְּנָ֣ה לְבֵנִ֔ים וְנִשְׂרְפָ֖ה לִשְׂרֵפָ֑ה וַתְּהִ֨י לָהֶ֤ם הַלְּבֵנָה֙ לְאָ֔בֶן וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ר הָיָ֥ה לָהֶ֖ם לַחֹֽמֶר׃
καὶ εἶπεν ἄνθρωπος τῷ πλησίον δεῦτε πλινθεύσωμεν πλίνθους καὶ ὀπτήσωμεν αὐτὰς πυρί καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῖς ἡ πλίνθος εἰς λίθον καὶ ἄσφαλτος ἦν αὐτοῖς ὁ πηλός
Dixitque alter ad proximum suum : Venite, faciamus lateres, et coquamus eos igni. Habueruntque lateres pro saxis, et bitumen pro caemento :
ወተባሀሉ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ፡ ንዑ ፡ ንጥፋሕ ፡ ግንፋለ ፡ ወናብስሎ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወኮኖሙ ፡ ግንፋሎሙ ፡ እብነ ፡ ወፒሳ ፡ ጽቡሮሙ ።
They said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
11:4
וַיֹּאמְר֞וּ הָ֣בָה׀ נִבְנֶה־לָּ֣נוּ עִ֗יר וּמִגְדָּל֙ וְרֹאשׁ֣וֹ בַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְנַֽעֲשֶׂה־לָּ֖נוּ שֵׁ֑ם פֶּן־נָפ֖וּץ עַל־פְּנֵ֥י כׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ εἶπαν δεῦτε οἰκοδομήσωμεν ἑαυτοῖς πόλιν καὶ πύργον οὗ ἡ κεφαλὴ ἔσται ἕως τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ποιήσωμεν ἑαυτοῖς ὄνομα πρὸ τοῦ διασπαρῆναι ἐπὶ προσώπου πάσης τῆς γῆς
et dixerunt : Venite, faciamus nobis civitatem et turrim, cujus culmen pertingat ad caelum : et celebremus nomen nostrum antequam dividamur in universas terras.
ወተባሀሉ ፡ ንዑ ፡ ንንድቀ ፡ ሀገረ ፡ ወማኅፈደ ፡ ዘይበጽሕ ፡ ርእሱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወንግበር ፡ ለነ ፡ ስመ ፡ እንበለ ፡ ንዘረው ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ምድር ።
They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”
11:5
וַיֵּ֣רֶד יְהֹוָ֔ה לִרְאֹ֥ת אֶת־הָעִ֖יר וְאֶת־הַמִּגְדָּ֑ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּנ֖וּ בְּנֵ֥י הָאָדָֽם׃
καὶ κατέβη κύριος ἰδεῖν τὴν πόλιν καὶ τὸν πύργον ὃν ᾠκοδόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων
Descendit autem Dominus ut videret civitatem et turrim, quam aedificabant filii Adam,
ወወረደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ይርአይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገሮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይርአይ ፡ ውእተ ፡ ማኅፈደ ፡ ዘነደቁ ፡ እጓለ ፡ እመሕያው ።
Yahweh came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.
11:6
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֗ה הֵ֣ן עַ֤ם אֶחָד֙ וְשָׂפָ֤ה אַחַת֙ לְכֻלָּ֔ם וְזֶ֖ה הַחִלָּ֣ם לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת וְעַתָּה֙ לֹֽא־יִבָּצֵ֣ר מֵהֶ֔ם כֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָזְמ֖וּ לַֽעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ἰδοὺ γένος ἓν καὶ χεῖλος ἓν πάντων καὶ τοῦτο ἤρξαντο ποιῆσαι καὶ νῦν οὐκ ἐκλείψει ἐξ αὐτῶν πάντα ὅσα ἂν ἐπιθῶνται ποιεῖν
et dixit : Ecce, unus est populus, et unum labium omnibus : coeperuntque hoc facere, nec desistent a cogitationibus suis, donec eas opere compleant.
ወይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናሁ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ዘመድ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ውአሐዱ ፡ ነገሩ ፡ ወከመዝ ፡ አኀዙ ፡ ይግበሩ ፡ ወኢየኀድጉ ፡ ይእዜኒ ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ዘሐለዩ ።
Yahweh said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do. Now nothing will be withheld from them, which they intend to do.
11:7
הָ֚בָה נֵֽרְדָ֔ה וְנָבְלָ֥ה שָׁ֖ם שְׂפָתָ֑ם אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יִשְׁמְע֔וּ אִ֖ישׁ שְׂפַ֥ת רֵעֵֽהוּ׃
δεῦτε καὶ καταβάντες συγχέωμεν ἐκεῖ αὐτῶν τὴν γλῶσσαν ἵνα μὴ ἀκούσωσιν ἕκαστος τὴν φωνὴν τοῦ πλησίον
Venite igitur, descendamus, et confundamus ibi linguam eorum, ut non audiat unusquisque vocem proximi sui.
ንዑ ፡ ንረድ ፡ ወንክዐዎ ፡ ለነገሮሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኢይሳምዑ ፡ ነገሮሙ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ካልኡ ።
Come, let’s go down, and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
11:8
וַיָּ֨פֶץ יְהֹוָ֥ה אֹתָ֛ם מִשָּׁ֖ם עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַֽיַּחְדְּל֖וּ לִבְנֹ֥ת הָעִֽיר׃
καὶ διέσπειρεν αὐτοὺς κύριος ἐκεῖθεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πάσης τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐπαύσαντο οἰκοδομοῦντες τὴν πόλιν καὶ τὸν πύργον
Atque ita divisit eos Dominus ex illo loco in universas terras, et cessaverunt aedificare civitatem.
ወዘረዎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወኀደጉ ፡ እንከ ፡ ነዲቆታ ፡ ለይእቲ ፡ ሀገር ፡ ወለውእቱ ፡ ማኅፈድ ።
So Yahweh scattered them abroad from there on the surface of all the earth. They stopped building the city.
11:9
עַל־כֵּ֞ן קָרָ֤א שְׁמָהּ֙ בָּבֶ֔ל כִּי־שָׁ֛ם בָּלַ֥ל יְהֹוָ֖ה שְׂפַ֣ת כׇּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וּמִשָּׁם֙ הֱפִיצָ֣ם יְהֹוָ֔ה עַל־פְּנֵ֖י כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ {פ}
διὰ τοῦτο ἐκλήθη τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Σύγχυσις ὅτι ἐκεῖ συνέχεεν κύριος τὰ χείλη πάσης τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκεῖθεν διέσπειρεν αὐτοὺς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ πρόσωπον πάσης τῆς γῆς
Et idcirco vocatum est nomen ejus Babel, quia ibi confusum est labium universae terrae : et inde dispersit eos Dominus super faciem cunctarum regionum.
ወበእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ተሰምየ ፡ ስማ ፡ ዝሩት ፡ እስመ ፡ በህየ ፡ ዘረዎሙ ፡ ለነገረ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በሐውርት ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘረዎ ፡ ለነገሮሙ ፡ ወበህየ ፡ ዘረዎሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአሕዛብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድር ።
Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Yahweh confused the language of all the earth. From there, Yahweh scattered them abroad on the surface of all the earth.
11:10
אֵ֚לֶּה תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת שֵׁ֔ם שֵׁ֚ם בֶּן־מְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֔ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־אַרְפַּכְשָׁ֑ד שְׁנָתַ֖יִם אַחַ֥ר הַמַּבּֽוּל׃
καὶ αὗται αἱ γενέσεις Σημ Σημ υἱὸς ἑκατὸν ἐτῶν ὅτε ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αρφαξαδ δευτέρου ἔτους μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν
Hae sunt generationes Sem : Sem erat centum annorum quando genuit Arphaxad, biennio post diluvium.
ወከመዝ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ልደቱ ፡ ለሴም ፡ ምእት ፡ ዓም ፡ ሎቱ ፡ እምአመ ፡ ተወልደ ፡ አመ ፡ ይወልዶ ፡ ለአርፋክሳድ ፡ ወካልእ ፡ ዓም ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ አይኅ ።
This is the history of the generations of Shem: Shem was one hundred years old when he became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood.
11:11
וַֽיְחִי־שֵׁ֗ם אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־אַרְפַּכְשָׁ֔ד חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Σημ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Αρφαξαδ πεντακόσια ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Sem, postquam genuit Arphaxad, quingentis annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ሴም ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለአርፋክሳድ ፡ ፭፻[ዓመተ ፡] ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Shem lived five hundred years after he became the father of Arpachshad, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:12
וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֣ד חַ֔י חָמֵ֥שׁ וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־שָֽׁלַח׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Αρφαξαδ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν
Porro Arphaxad vixit triginta quinque annis, et genuit Sale.
ወሐይወ ፡ አርፋክሳድ ፡ ፻፴፭ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለቃያናን ፡ ወሐይወ ፡ አርፋክሳድ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለቃያናን ፡ ፬፻ወ፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ። ወሐይወ ፡ ቃያናን ፡ ፻፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለሳላ ። ወሐይወ ፡ ቃያናን ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሳላ ፡ ፬፻ወ፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Arpachshad lived thirty-five years and became the father of Shelah.
11:13
וַיְחִ֣י אַרְפַּכְשַׁ֗ד אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־שֶׁ֔לַח שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Αρφαξαδ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Καιναν ἔτη τετρακόσια τριάκοντα καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλα καὶ ἔζησεν Καιναν μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σαλα ἔτη τριακόσια τριάκοντα καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Arphaxad, postquam genuit Sale, trecentis tribus annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ሳላ ፡ ፻፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለኤቤር ።
Arpachshad lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Shelah, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:14
וְשֶׁ֥לַח חַ֖י שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־עֵֽבֶר׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Σαλα ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Εβερ
Sale quoque vixit triginta annis, et genuit Heber.
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለኤቤር ፡ ሐይወ ፡ [፫]፻፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber.
11:15
וַֽיְחִי־שֶׁ֗לַח אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־עֵ֔בֶר שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Σαλα μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Εβερ τριακόσια τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Sale, postquam genuit Heber, quadringentis tribus annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ኤቤር ፡ ፻፴[፬]ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለፋሌቅ ።
Shelah lived four hundred three years after he became the father of Eber, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:16
וַֽיְחִי־עֵ֕בֶר אַרְבַּ֥ע וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־פָּֽלֶג׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Εβερ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα τέσσαρα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Φαλεκ
Vixit autem Heber triginta quatuor annis, et genuit Phaleg.
[ወሐይወ ፡ ኤቤር ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለፋሌቅ ፡ ፪፻ወ፸ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡] ወሞተ ።
Eber lived thirty-four years, and became the father of Peleg.
11:17
וַֽיְחִי־עֵ֗בֶר אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־פֶּ֔לֶג שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה וְאַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Εβερ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Φαλεκ ἔτη τριακόσια ἑβδομήκοντα καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Et vixit Heber postquam genuit Phaleg, quadringentis triginta annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ፋሌቅ ፡ ፻፴ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለራጋው ።
Eber lived four hundred thirty years after he became the father of Peleg, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:18
וַֽיְחִי־פֶ֖לֶג שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־רְעֽוּ׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Φαλεκ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ραγαυ
Vixit quoque Phaleg triginta annis, et genuit Reu.
ወሐይወ ፡ [ፋሌቅ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለራጋው ፡] ፪፻ወ፱ዓመተ ፡ [ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡] ወሞተ ።
Peleg lived thirty years, and became the father of Reu.
11:19
וַֽיְחִי־פֶ֗לֶג אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־רְע֔וּ תֵּ֥שַׁע שָׁנִ֖ים וּמָאתַ֣יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Φαλεκ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ραγαυ διακόσια ἐννέα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Phaleg, postquam genuit Reu, ducentis novem annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ራጋው ፡ ፻፴፪ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለሴሮኅ ።
Peleg lived two hundred nine years after he became the father of Reu, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:20
וַיְחִ֣י רְע֔וּ שְׁתַּ֥יִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־שְׂרֽוּג׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ραγαυ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα δύο ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σερουχ
Vixit autem Reu triginta duobus annis, et genuit Sarug.
ወሐይወ ፡ ራጋው ፡ [እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሴሮኅ ፡] ፪፻ወ፯ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Reu lived thirty-two years, and became the father of Serug.
11:21
וַיְחִ֣י רְע֗וּ אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־שְׂר֔וּג שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִ֖ים וּמָאתַ֣יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Ραγαυ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Σερουχ διακόσια ἑπτὰ ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixit quoque Reu, postquam genuit Sarug, ducentis septem annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ሴሮኅ ፡ ፻፴(፭)ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለናኮር ።
Reu lived two hundred seven years after he became the father of Serug, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:22
וַיְחִ֥י שְׂר֖וּג שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־נָחֽוֹר׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Σερουχ ἑκατὸν τριάκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ναχωρ
Vixit vero Sarug triginta annis, et genuit Nachor.
ወሐይወ ፡ [ሴሮኅ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለናኮር ፡] ፪፻[ዓመተ ፡] ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor.
11:23
וַיְחִ֣י שְׂר֗וּג אַחֲרֵ֛י הוֹלִיד֥וֹ אֶת־נָח֖וֹר מָאתַ֣יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Σερουχ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Ναχωρ ἔτη διακόσια καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Sarug, postquam genuit Nachor, ducentis annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ናኮር ፡ [፸]ወ፱ዓመተ ፡ ወወለዶ ፡ ለታራ ።
Serug lived two hundred years after he became the father of Nahor, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:24
וַיְחִ֣י נָח֔וֹר תֵּ֥שַׁע וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֖וֹלֶד אֶת־תָּֽרַח׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Ναχωρ ἔτη ἑβδομήκοντα ἐννέα καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Θαρα
Vixit autem Nachor viginti novem annis, et genuit Thare.
ወሐይወ ፡ [ናኮር ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለታራ ፡] ፻፳፱ዓመተ ፡ ወወለደ ፡ ደቀ ፡ ወአዋልደ ፡ ወሞተ ።
Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah.
11:25
וַיְחִ֣י נָח֗וֹר אַחֲרֵי֙ הוֹלִיד֣וֹ אֶת־תֶּ֔רַח תְּשַֽׁע־עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֖ה וּמְאַ֣ת שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֥וֹלֶד בָּנִ֖ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔζησεν Ναχωρ μετὰ τὸ γεννῆσαι αὐτὸν τὸν Θαρα ἔτη ἑκατὸν εἴκοσι ἐννέα καὶ ἐγέννησεν υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας καὶ ἀπέθανεν
Vixitque Nachor, postquam genuit Thare, centum decem et novem annis : et genuit filios et filias.
ወሐይወ ፡ ታራ ፡ [፸]ዓመተ ፡ ውወለዶ ፡ ለአብራም ፡ ወለናኮር ፡ ወለአራን ።
Nahor lived one hundred nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and became the father of more sons and daughters.
11:26
וַֽיְחִי־תֶ֖רַח שִׁבְעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיּ֙וֹלֶד֙ אֶת־אַבְרָ֔ם אֶת־נָח֖וֹר וְאֶת־הָרָֽן׃
καὶ ἔζησεν Θαρα ἑβδομήκοντα ἔτη καὶ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αβραμ καὶ τὸν Ναχωρ καὶ τὸν Αρραν
Vixitque Thare septuaginta annis, et genuit Abram, et Nachor, et Aran.
ወአሪን ፡ ወለዶ ፡ ለሎጥ ።
Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
11:27
וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת תֶּ֔רַח תֶּ֚רַח הוֹלִ֣יד אֶת־אַבְרָ֔ם אֶת־נָח֖וֹר וְאֶת־הָרָ֑ן וְהָרָ֖ן הוֹלִ֥יד אֶת־לֽוֹט׃
αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις Θαρα Θαρα ἐγέννησεν τὸν Αβραμ καὶ τὸν Ναχωρ καὶ τὸν Αρραν καὶ Αρραν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Λωτ
Hae sunt autem generationes Thare : Thare genuit Abram, Nachor et Aran. Porro Aran genuit Lot.
ወሞተ ፡ አራን ፡ በኀበ ፡ ታራ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ በምድር ፡ እንተ ፡ በውስቴታ ፡ ተወልደ ፡ በምድረ ፡ ከላዴዎን ።
Now this is the history of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran became the father of Lot.
11:28
וַיָּ֣מׇת הָרָ֔ן עַל־פְּנֵ֖י תֶּ֣רַח אָבִ֑יו בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מוֹלַדְתּ֖וֹ בְּא֥וּר כַּשְׂדִּֽים׃
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Αρραν ἐνώπιον Θαρα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ γῇ ᾗ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῇ χώρᾳ τῶν Χαλδαίων
Mortuusque est Aran ante Thare patrem suum, in terra nativitatis suae, in Ur Chaldaeorum.
ወነሥኡ ፡ አብራም ፡ ወናኮር ፡ አንስቲያ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወስማ ፡ ለብእሲተ ፡ አብራም ፡ ሶራ ፡ ወለብእሲተ ፡ ናኮር ፡ ሜልካ ፡ ወለተ ፡ አራን ፡ አበ ፡ ሜልካ ፡ ወአበ ፡ ዮስካ ።
Haran died in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldees, while his father Terah was still alive.
11:29
וַיִּקַּ֨ח אַבְרָ֧ם וְנָח֛וֹר לָהֶ֖ם נָשִׁ֑ים שֵׁ֤ם אֵֽשֶׁת־אַבְרָם֙ שָׂרָ֔י וְשֵׁ֤ם אֵֽשֶׁת־נָחוֹר֙ מִלְכָּ֔ה בַּת־הָרָ֥ן אֲבִֽי־מִלְכָּ֖ה וַֽאֲבִ֥י יִסְכָּֽה׃
καὶ ἔλαβον Αβραμ καὶ Ναχωρ ἑαυτοῖς γυναῖκας ὄνομα τῇ γυναικὶ Αβραμ Σαρα καὶ ὄνομα τῇ γυναικὶ Ναχωρ Μελχα θυγάτηρ Αρραν πατὴρ Μελχα καὶ πατὴρ Ιεσχα
Duxerunt autem Abram et Nachor uxores : nomen uxoris Abram, Sarai : et nomen uxoris Nachor, Melcha filia Aran, patris Melchae, et patris Jeschae.
ወሶራሰ ፡ መካን ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ወኢትወልድ ።
Abram and Nahor married wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, who was also the father of Iscah.
11:30
וַתְּהִ֥י שָׂרַ֖י עֲקָרָ֑ה אֵ֥ין לָ֖הּ וָלָֽד׃
καὶ ἦν Σαρα στεῖρα καὶ οὐκ ἐτεκνοποίει
Erat autem Sarai sterilis, nec habebat liberos.
ወነሥኦሙ ፡ ተራ ፡ ለአብራም ፡ ወልዶ ፡ ወለሎጥ ፡ ወልደ ፡ አራን ፡ ወልደ ፡ እኁሁ ፡ ወለሶራ ፡ መርዓቶ(ሙ) ፡ ብእሲተ ፡ አብራም ፡ ወልዱ ፡ ወአውጽኦሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከላዴዎን ፡ ከመ ፡ ይሑሩ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ ወሶበ ፡ በጽሑ ፡ ካራን ፡ ኅደሩ ፡ ህየ ።
Sarai was barren. She had no child.
11:31
וַיִּקַּ֨ח תֶּ֜רַח אֶת־אַבְרָ֣ם בְּנ֗וֹ וְאֶת־ל֤וֹט בֶּן־הָרָן֙ בֶּן־בְּנ֔וֹ וְאֵת֙ שָׂרַ֣י כַּלָּת֔וֹ אֵ֖שֶׁת אַבְרָ֣ם בְּנ֑וֹ וַיֵּצְא֨וּ אִתָּ֜ם מֵא֣וּר כַּשְׂדִּ֗ים לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ אַ֣רְצָה כְּנַ֔עַן וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ עַד־חָרָ֖ן וַיֵּ֥שְׁבוּ שָֽׁם׃
καὶ ἔλαβεν Θαρα τὸν Αβραμ υἱὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸν Λωτ υἱὸν Αρραν υἱὸν τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν Σαραν τὴν νύμφην αὐτοῦ γυναῖκα Αβραμ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐξήγαγεν αὐτοὺς ἐκ τῆς χώρας τῶν Χαλδαίων πορευθῆναι εἰς τὴν γῆν Χανααν καὶ ἦλθεν ἕως Χαρραν καὶ κατῴκησεν ἐκεῖ
Tulit itaque Thare Abram filium suum, et Lot filium Aran, filium filii sui, et Sarai nurum suam, uxorem Abram filii sui, et eduxit eos de Ur Chaldaeorum, ut irent in terram Chanaan : veneruntque usque Haran, et habitaverunt ibi.
ወኮነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለታራ ፡ በካራን ፡ ፪፻ወ፭ዓመተ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ተራ ፡ በካራን ።
Terah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife. They went from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan. They came to Haran and lived there.
11:32
וַיִּהְי֣וּ יְמֵי־תֶ֔רַח חָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים וּמָאתַ֣יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּ֥מׇת תֶּ֖רַח בְּחָרָֽן׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐγένοντο αἱ ἡμέραι Θαρα ἐν Χαρραν διακόσια πέντε ἔτη καὶ ἀπέθανεν Θαρα ἐν Χαρραν
Et facti sunt dies Thare ducentorum quinque annorum, et mortuus est in Haran.

The days of Terah were two hundred five years. Terah died in Haran.
