33:1
וַיִּשָּׂ֨א יַעֲקֹ֜ב עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּרְא֙ וְהִנֵּ֣ה עֵשָׂ֣ו בָּ֔א וְעִמּ֕וֹ אַרְבַּ֥ע מֵא֖וֹת אִ֑ישׁ וַיַּ֣חַץ אֶת־הַיְלָדִ֗ים עַל־לֵאָה֙ וְעַל־רָחֵ֔ל וְעַ֖ל שְׁתֵּ֥י הַשְּׁפָחֽוֹת׃
ἀναβλέψας δὲ Ιακωβ εἶδεν καὶ ἰδοὺ Ησαυ ὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ ἐρχόμενος καὶ τετρακόσιοι ἄνδρες μετ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιδιεῖλεν Ιακωβ τὰ παιδία ἐπὶ Λειαν καὶ Ραχηλ καὶ τὰς δύο παιδίσκας
Elevans autem Jacob oculos suos, vidit venientem Esau, et cum eo quadringentos viros : divisitque filios Liae et Rachel, ambarumque famularum :
ወሶበ ፡ ይኔጽር ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወይሬኢ ፡ ነዋ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ እኁሁ ፡ መጽአ ፡ ወነዋ ፡ አርባዕቱ ፡ ምእት ፡ ዕደው ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወነፈቆሙ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለደቂቁ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ልያ ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ራሔል ፡ ወኀበ ፡ ክልኤሆን ፡ ዕቁባቲሁ ።
Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. He divided the children between Leah, Rachel, and the two servants.
33:2
וַיָּ֧שֶׂם אֶת־הַשְּׁפָח֛וֹת וְאֶת־יַלְדֵיהֶ֖ן רִֽאשֹׁנָ֑ה וְאֶת־לֵאָ֤ה וִֽילָדֶ֙יהָ֙ אַחֲרֹנִ֔ים וְאֶת־רָחֵ֥ל וְאֶת־יוֹסֵ֖ף אַחֲרֹנִֽים׃
καὶ ἐποίησεν τὰς δύο παιδίσκας καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν ἐν πρώτοις καὶ Λειαν καὶ τὰ παιδία αὐτῆς ὀπίσω καὶ Ραχηλ καὶ Ιωσηφ ἐσχάτους
et posuit utramque ancillam, et liberos earum, in principio : Liam vero, et filios ejus, in secundo loco : Rachel autem et Joseph novissimos.
[ወረሰዮን ፡ ለዕቁባቲሁ ፡] ምስለ ፡ ደቂቆን ፡ ቅድመ ፡ [ወ]ልያ ፡ ወደቂቃ ፡ ድኅሬሆን ፡ ወራሔል ፡ [ወ]ዮሴፍ ፡ ድኅሬሃ ።
He put the servants and their children in front, Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph at the rear.
33:3
וְה֖וּא עָבַ֣ר לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וַיִּשְׁתַּ֤חוּ אַ֙רְצָה֙ שֶׁ֣בַע פְּעָמִ֔ים עַד־גִּשְׁתּ֖וֹ עַד־אָחִֽיו׃
αὐτὸς δὲ προῆλθεν ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἑπτάκις ἕως τοῦ ἐγγίσαι τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ
Et ipse progrediens adoravit pronus in terram septies, donec appropinquaret frater ejus.
ወውእቱሰ ፡ ቅድሜሆሙ ፡ ሖረ ፡ ወሰገደ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ ስብዕ ፡ እስከ ፡ ይበጽሕ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እኁሁ ።
He himself passed over in front of them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
33:4
וַיָּ֨רׇץ עֵשָׂ֤ו לִקְרָאתוֹ֙ וַֽיְחַבְּקֵ֔הוּ וַיִּפֹּ֥ל עַל־צַוָּארָ֖ו וַׄיִּׄשָּׁׄקֵ֑ׄהׄוּׄ וַיִּבְכּֽוּ׃
καὶ προσέδραμεν Ησαυ εἰς συνάντησιν αὐτῷ καὶ περιλαβὼν αὐτὸν ἐφίλησεν καὶ προσέπεσεν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔκλαυσαν ἀμφότεροι
Currens itaque Esau obviam fratri suo, amplexatus est eum : stringensque collum ejus, et osculans flevit.
ወቀደመ ፡ ረዊጸ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ ወተቀበሎ ፡ ወሐቀፎ ፡ ክሳዶ ፡ [ወሰዐሞ ፡] ወበከዩ ፡ ክልኤሆሙ ።
Esau ran to meet him, embraced him, fell on his neck, kissed him, and they wept.
33:5
וַיִּשָּׂ֣א אֶת־עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּ֤רְא אֶת־הַנָּשִׁים֙ וְאֶת־הַיְלָדִ֔ים וַיֹּ֖אמֶר מִי־אֵ֣לֶּה לָּ֑ךְ וַיֹּאמַ֕ר הַיְלָדִ֕ים אֲשֶׁר־חָנַ֥ן אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶת־עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃
καὶ ἀναβλέψας εἶδεν τὰς γυναῖκας καὶ τὰ παιδία καὶ εἶπεν τί ταῦτά σοί ἐστιν ὁ δὲ εἶπεν τὰ παιδία οἷς ἠλέησεν ὁ θεὸς τὸν παῖδά σου
Levatisque oculis, vidit mulieres et parvulos earum, et ait : Quid sibi volunt isti ? et si ad te pertinent ? Respondit : Parvuli sunt quos donavit mihi Deus servo tuo.
ወሶበ ፡ ነጸረ ፡ ወርእየ ፡ (ክልኤሆን ፡) አንስቲያሁ ፡ ወደቂቆን ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ምንትከ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ እሉ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ደቂቅየ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ዘምሕሮ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለገብርከ ።
He lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, “Who are these with you?” He said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”
33:6
וַתִּגַּ֧שְׁןָ הַשְּׁפָח֛וֹת הֵ֥נָּה וְיַלְדֵיהֶ֖ן וַתִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶֽיןָ׃
καὶ προσήγγισαν αἱ παιδίσκαι καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν
Et appropinquantes ancillae et filii earum, incurvati sunt.
ወመጽኣ ፡ ዕቁባቲሁ ፡ ወደቂቆን ፡ ወሰገዳ ።
Then the servants came near with their children, and they bowed themselves.
33:7
וַתִּגַּ֧שׁ גַּם־לֵאָ֛ה וִילָדֶ֖יהָ וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֑וּ וְאַחַ֗ר נִגַּ֥שׁ יוֹסֵ֛ף וְרָחֵ֖ל וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃
καὶ προσήγγισεν Λεια καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς καὶ προσεκύνησαν καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα προσήγγισεν Ραχηλ καὶ Ιωσηφ καὶ προσεκύνησαν
Accessit quoque Lia cum pueris suis : et cum similiter adorassent, extremi Joseph et Rachel adoraverunt.
ወመጽአት ፡ ልያ ፡ ወደቂቃ ፡ ወሰገደት ፡ ወእምዝ ፡ መጽአት ፡ ራሔል ፡ *ወዮሴፍ ፡* ወሰገደት ።
Leah also and her children came near, and bowed themselves. After them, Joseph came near with Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
33:8
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מִ֥י לְךָ֛ כׇּל־הַמַּחֲנֶ֥ה הַזֶּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר פָּגָ֑שְׁתִּי וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לִמְצֹא־חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינֵ֥י אֲדֹנִֽי׃
καὶ εἶπεν τί ταῦτά σοί ἐστιν πᾶσαι αἱ παρεμβολαὶ αὗται αἷς ἀπήντηκα ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ἵνα εὕρῃ ὁ παῖς σου χάριν ἐναντίον σου κύριε
Dixitque Esau : Quaenam sunt istae turmae quas obviam habui ? Respondit : Ut invenirem gratiam coram domino meo.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ምንትከ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ተዓይን ፡ [ዘረከብኩ ፡] ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለዔሰው ፡ ዘገበርኩ ፡ ለከ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ከመ ፡ እርከብ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ በቅድሜከ ።
Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”
33:9
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר עֵשָׂ֖ו יֶשׁ־לִ֣י רָ֑ב אָחִ֕י יְהִ֥י לְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁר־לָֽךְ׃
εἶπεν δὲ Ησαυ ἔστιν μοι πολλά ἄδελφε ἔστω σοι τὰ σά
At ille ait : Habeo plurima, frater mi, sint tua tibi.
ወይቤ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ ብየ ፡ አንሰ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ አንተ ፡ እኁየ ፡ ወይኩንከ ፡ ለከ ፡ ዘዚአከ ።
Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; let that which you have be yours.”
33:10
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יַעֲקֹ֗ב אַל־נָא֙ אִם־נָ֨א מָצָ֤אתִי חֵן֙ בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ וְלָקַחְתָּ֥ מִנְחָתִ֖י מִיָּדִ֑י כִּ֣י עַל־כֵּ֞ן רָאִ֣יתִי פָנֶ֗יךָ כִּרְאֹ֛ת פְּנֵ֥י אֱלֹהִ֖ים וַתִּרְצֵֽנִי׃
εἶπεν δὲ Ιακωβ εἰ εὕρηκα χάριν ἐναντίον σου δέξαι τὰ δῶρα διὰ τῶν ἐμῶν χειρῶν ἕνεκεν τούτου εἶδον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ὡς ἄν τις ἴδοι πρόσωπον θεοῦ καὶ εὐδοκήσεις με
Dixitque Jacob : Noli ita, obsecro : sed si inveni gratiam in oculis tuis, accipe munusculum de manibus meis. Sic enim vidi faciem tuam, quasi viderim vultum Dei : esto mihi propitius,
ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለእመ ፡ ረከብኩ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ በቅድሜከ ፡ ተመጠው ፡ እምነ ፡ እዴየ ፡ አምኃየ ፡ እስመ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ እሬኢ ፡ ገጸከ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘይሬኢ ፡ ገጸ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Jacob said, “Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.
33:11
קַח־נָ֤א אֶת־בִּרְכָתִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֻבָ֣את לָ֔ךְ כִּֽי־חַנַּ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים וְכִ֣י יֶשׁ־לִי־כֹ֑ל וַיִּפְצַר־בּ֖וֹ וַיִּקָּֽח׃
λαβὲ τὰς εὐλογίας μου ἃς ἤνεγκά σοι ὅτι ἠλέησέν με ὁ θεὸς καὶ ἔστιν μοι πάντα καὶ ἐβιάσατο αὐτόν καὶ ἔλαβεν
et suscipe benedictionem quam attuli tibi, et quam donavit mihi Deus tribuens omnia. Vix fratre compellente, suscipiens,
ወእመሰ ፡ ታፈቅረኒ ፡ ንሢእ ፡ አምኃየ ፡ ዘአምጻእኩ ፡ ለከ ፡ እስመ ፡ ምሕረኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወብየ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ወአገበሮ ፡ ወነሥአ ።
Please take the gift that I brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” He urged him, and he took it.
33:12
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר נִסְעָ֣ה וְנֵלֵ֑כָה וְאֵלְכָ֖ה לְנֶגְדֶּֽךָ׃
καὶ εἶπεν ἀπάραντες πορευσόμεθα ἐπ’ εὐθεῖαν
ait : Gradiamur simul, eroque socius itineris tui.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ ተንሥኡ ፡ ንሑር ፡ እንተ ፡ መንጸር ።
Esau said, “Let’s take our journey, and let’s go, and I will go before you.”
33:13
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֗יו אֲדֹנִ֤י יֹדֵ֙עַ֙ כִּֽי־הַיְלָדִ֣ים רַכִּ֔ים וְהַצֹּ֥אן וְהַבָּקָ֖ר עָל֣וֹת עָלָ֑י וּדְפָקוּם֙ י֣וֹם אֶחָ֔ד וָמֵ֖תוּ כׇּל־הַצֹּֽאן׃
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ κύριός μου γινώσκει ὅτι τὰ παιδία ἁπαλώτερα καὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ αἱ βόες λοχεύονται ἐπ’ ἐμέ ἐὰν οὖν καταδιώξω αὐτοὺς ἡμέραν μίαν ἀποθανοῦνται πάντα τὰ κτήνη
Dixitque Jacob : Nosti, domine mi, quod parvulos habeam teneros, et oves, et boves foetas mecum : quas si plus in ambulando fecero laborare, morientur una die cuncti greges.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ለሊከ ፡ ታአምር ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ከመ ፡ ድኩማን ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ ወአባግዕ ፡ ወእጕላትኒ ፡ የሐርሣ ፡ ላዕሌየ ፡ ወለእመሰ ፡ መረድነ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ አሐተ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወእማእኮ ፡ ሰኑየ ፡ ይመውቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ እንስሳነ ።
Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
33:14
יַעֲבׇר־נָ֥א אֲדֹנִ֖י לִפְנֵ֣י עַבְדּ֑וֹ וַאֲנִ֞י אֶֽתְנָהֲלָ֣ה לְאִטִּ֗י לְרֶ֨גֶל הַמְּלָאכָ֤ה אֲשֶׁר־לְפָנַי֙ וּלְרֶ֣גֶל הַיְלָדִ֔ים עַ֛ד אֲשֶׁר־אָבֹ֥א אֶל־אֲדֹנִ֖י שֵׂעִֽירָה׃
προελθέτω ὁ κύριός μου ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ παιδός ἐγὼ δὲ ἐνισχύσω ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ κατὰ σχολὴν τῆς πορεύσεως τῆς ἐναντίον μου καὶ κατὰ πόδα τῶν παιδαρίων ἕως τοῦ με ἐλθεῖν πρὸς τὸν κύριόν μου εἰς Σηιρ
Praecedat dominus meus ante servum suum : et ego sequar paulatim vestigia ejus, sicut videro parvulos meos posse, donec veniam ad dominum meum in Seir.
ሑር ፡ አንተ ፡ እግዚእየ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገብርከ ፡ ወንሕነሰ ፡ በከመ ፡ ንክል ፡ ነሐውር ፡ እስመ ፡ ንዋዕልሂ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ እንዘ ፡ ነሐውር ፡ ወሶበሂ ፡ ነሐውር ፡ በእግረ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ ነሐውር ፡ እስከ ፡ ንበጽሕ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚእነ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሴይር ።
Please let my lord pass over before his servant, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the livestock that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come to my lord to Seir.”
33:15
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר עֵשָׂ֔ו אַצִּֽיגָה־נָּ֣א עִמְּךָ֔ מִן־הָעָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתִּ֑י וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לָ֣מָּה זֶּ֔ה אֶמְצָא־חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינֵ֥י אֲדֹנִֽי׃
εἶπεν δὲ Ησαυ καταλείψω μετὰ σοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ τοῦ μετ’ ἐμοῦ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ἵνα τί τοῦτο ἱκανὸν ὅτι εὗρον χάριν ἐναντίον σου κύριε
Respondit Esau : Oro te, ut de populo qui mecum est, saltem socii remaneant viae tuae. Non est, inquit, necesse : hoc uno tantum indigeo, ut inveniam gratiam in conspectu tuo, domine mi.
ወይቤሎ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ እኅድጌ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዘምስሌየ ፡ ወይቤሎ ፡ ለምንትኑ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ የአክለኒ ፡ ዘረከብኩ ፡ ሞገሰ ፡ በቅድሜከ ፡ እግዚኦ ።
Esau said, “Let me now leave with you some of the people who are with me.” He said, “Why? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”
33:16
וַיָּ֩שׇׁב֩ בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֥וּא עֵשָׂ֛ו לְדַרְכּ֖וֹ שֵׂעִֽירָה׃
ἀπέστρεψεν δὲ Ησαυ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ εἰς Σηιρ
Reversus est itaque illo die Esau itinere quo venerat in Seir.
ወገብአ ፡ ዔሳው ፡ ፍኖቶ ፡ በይእቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሴይር ።
So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
33:17
וְיַעֲקֹב֙ נָסַ֣ע סֻכֹּ֔תָה וַיִּ֥בֶן ל֖וֹ בָּ֑יִת וּלְמִקְנֵ֙הוּ֙ עָשָׂ֣ה סֻכֹּ֔ת עַל־כֵּ֛ן קָרָ֥א שֵׁם־הַמָּק֖וֹם סֻכּֽוֹת׃ {ס}
καὶ Ιακωβ ἀπαίρει εἰς Σκηνάς καὶ ἐποίησεν ἑαυτῷ ἐκεῖ οἰκίας καὶ τοῖς κτήνεσιν αὐτοῦ ἐποίησεν σκηνάς διὰ τοῦτο ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου Σκηναί
Et Jacob venit in Socoth : ubi aedificata domo et fixis tentoriis appellavit nomen loci illius Socoth, id est, Tabernacula.
ወያዕቆብሰ ፡ ኀደረ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ተዓይን ፡ ወገብረ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ሐጹረ ፡ ህየ ፡ ሎቱሂ ፡ ወለእንስሳሁ ፡ ወበእንተዝ ፡ ሰመዮ ፡ ለውእቱ ፡ ብሔር ፡ ማኅደር ።
Jacob traveled to Succoth, built himself a house, and made shelters for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
33:18
וַיָּבֹא֩ יַעֲקֹ֨ב שָׁלֵ֜ם עִ֣יר שְׁכֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁר֙ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן בְּבֹא֖וֹ מִפַּדַּ֣ן אֲרָ֑ם וַיִּ֖חַן אֶת־פְּנֵ֥י הָעִֽיר׃
καὶ ἦλθεν Ιακωβ εἰς Σαλημ πόλιν Σικιμων ἥ ἐστιν ἐν γῇ Χανααν ὅτε ἦλθεν ἐκ τῆς Μεσοποταμίας Συρίας καὶ παρενέβαλεν κατὰ πρόσωπον τῆς πόλεως
Transivitque in Salem urbem Sichimorum, quae est in terra Chanaan, postquam reversus est de Mesopotamia Syriae : et habitavit juxta oppidum.
ወበጽሐ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሴሌም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሀገረ ፡ [ሴ]ቄሞን ፡ እንተ ፡ ሀለወት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ ወሶበ ፡ መጽአ ፡ እምነ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ ዘሶርያ ፡ ወበጽሐ ፡ አንጻረ ፡ ሀገር ።
Jacob came in peace to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan Aram; and encamped before the city.
33:19
וַיִּ֜קֶן אֶת־חֶלְקַ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָֽטָה־שָׁם֙ אׇהֳל֔וֹ מִיַּ֥ד בְּנֵֽי־חֲמ֖וֹר אֲבִ֣י שְׁכֶ֑ם בְּמֵאָ֖ה קְשִׂיטָֽה׃
καὶ ἐκτήσατο τὴν μερίδα τοῦ ἀγροῦ οὗ ἔστησεν ἐκεῖ τὴν σκηνὴν αὐτοῦ παρὰ Εμμωρ πατρὸς Συχεμ ἑκατὸν ἀμνῶν
Emitque partem agri, in qua fixerat tabernacula, a filiis Hemor patris Sichem centum agnis.
ወአኀዘ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ገራህት ፡ ወተከለ ፡ ህየ ፡ ማኅደረ ፡ ወገራህታሰ ፡ እንተ ፡ ተሣየ[ጠ ፡] እምነ ፡ ኤሞር ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ለሴኬም ፡ በምእት ፡ አባግዕ ።
He bought the parcel of ground where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for one hundred pieces of money.
33:20
וַיַּצֶּב־שָׁ֖ם מִזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּ֨קְרָא־ל֔וֹ אֵ֖ל אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ {ס}
καὶ ἔστησεν ἐκεῖ θυσιαστήριον καὶ ἐπεκαλέσατο τὸν θεὸν Ισραηλ
Et erecto ibi altari, invocavit super illud fortissimum Deum Israël.
ወአቀመ ፡ በህየ ፡ ምሥዋዐ ፡ ወጸውዖ ፡ በህየ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
He erected an altar there, and called it El Elohe Israel.
