3:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי֩ הִנֵּ֨ה הָאָד֜וֹן יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֗וֹת מֵסִ֤יר מִירוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ וּמִ֣יהוּדָ֔ה מַשְׁעֵ֖ן וּמַשְׁעֵנָ֑ה כֹּ֚ל מִשְׁעַן ־לֶ֔חֶם וְכֹ֖ל מִשְׁעַן ־מָֽיִם ׃
ἰδοὺ δὴ ὁ δεσπότης κύριος σαβαωθ ἀφελεῖ ἀπὸ τῆς Ιουδαίας καὶ ἀπὸ Ιερουσαλημ ἰσχύοντα καὶ ἰσχύουσαν ἰσχὺν ἄρτου καὶ ἰσχὺν ὕδατος
Ecce enim Dominator , Dominus exercituum , auferet a Jerusalem et a Juda validum et fortem , omne robur panis , et omne robor aquae ;
ናሁ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ጸባኦት ፡ ያአትት ፡ እምኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወእምይሁዳ ፡ ጽኑዓነ ፡ ወጽንዓተ ፣፡ ኃይለ ፡ እክል ፡ ወኃይለ ፡ ማይ ።
For, behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah supply and support, the whole supply of bread, and the whole supply of water;
3:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ גִּבּ֖וֹר וְאִ֣ישׁ מִלְחָמָ֑ה שׁוֹפֵ֥ט וְנָבִ֖יא וְקֹסֵ֥ם וְזָקֵֽן ׃
γίγαντα καὶ ἰσχύοντα καὶ ἄνθρωπον πολεμιστὴν καὶ δικαστὴν καὶ προφήτην καὶ στοχαστὴν καὶ πρεσβύτερον
fortem , et virum bellatorem , judicem , et prophetam , et ariolum , et senem ;
ወኃይለ ፡ ያርብሕ ፡ ወኃይለ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ መስተቃትል ፡ ወመኰንነ ፡ ወነቢየ ፡ ወማእምረ ፡ ወልሂቀ ።
the mighty man, the man of war, the judge, the prophet, the diviner, the elder,
3:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ שַׂר ־חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים וּנְשׂ֣וּא פָנִ֑ים וְיוֹעֵ֛ץ וַחֲכַ֥ם חֲרָשִׁ֖ים וּנְב֥וֹן לָֽחַשׁ ׃
καὶ πεντηκόνταρχον καὶ θαυμαστὸν σύμβουλον καὶ σοφὸν ἀρχιτέκτονα καὶ συνετὸν ἀκροατήν
principem super quinquaginta , et honorabilem vultu et consiliarium , et sapientem de architectis , et prudentem eloquii mystici .
ወመስፍነ ፡ ወመካሬ ፡ ወጠቢበ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ ጸረብት ፡ ወለባዌ ፡ ወመጽምዔ ፡ ነገር ።
the captain of fifty, the honorable man, the counselor, the skilled craftsman, and the clever enchanter.
3:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנָתַתִּ֥י נְעָרִ֖ים שָׂרֵיהֶ֑ם וְתַעֲלוּלִ֖ים יִמְשְׁלוּ ־בָֽם ׃
καὶ ἐπιστήσω νεανίσκους ἄρχοντας αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμπαῖκται κυριεύσουσιν αὐτῶν
Et dabo pueros principes eorum , et effeminati dominabuntur eis ;
ወእሠይም ፡ ወራዙተ ፡ መላእክቲሆሙ ፡ ወመስተሳልቃን ፡ ይኴንንዎሙ ።
I will give boys to be their princes, and children shall rule over them.
3:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנִגַּ֣שׂ הָעָ֔ם אִ֥ישׁ בְּאִ֖ישׁ וְאִ֣ישׁ בְּרֵעֵ֑הוּ יִרְהֲב֗וּ הַנַּ֙עַר֙ בַּזָּקֵ֔ן וְהַנִּקְלֶ֖ה בַּנִּכְבָּֽד ׃
καὶ συμπεσεῖται ὁ λαός ἄνθρωπος πρὸς ἄνθρωπον καὶ ἄνθρωπος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ προσκόψει τὸ παιδίον πρὸς τὸν πρεσβύτην ὁ ἄτιμος πρὸς τὸν ἔντιμον
et irruet populus , vir ad virum , et unusquisque ad proximum suum ; tumultuabitur puer contra senem , et ignobilis contra nobilem .
ወይወድቅ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወብእሲ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወሰብእ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ቢጹ ፤ ወይትዐቀፍ ፡ ደቂቅ ፡ በልሂቅ ፡ ወኅሡር ፡ በክቡር ።
The people will be oppressed, everyone by another, and everyone by his neighbor. The child will behave himself proudly against the old man, and the wicked against the honorable.
3:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּי ־יִתְפֹּ֨שׂ אִ֤ישׁ בְּאָחִיו֙ בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔יו שִׂמְלָ֣ה לְכָ֔ה קָצִ֖ין תִּֽהְיֶה ־לָּ֑נוּ וְהַמַּכְשֵׁלָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את תַּ֥חַת יָדֶֽךָ ׃
ὅτι ἐπιλήμψεται ἄνθρωπος τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ ἢ τοῦ οἰκείου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ λέγων ἱμάτιον ἔχεις ἀρχηγὸς ἡμῶν γενοῦ καὶ τὸ βρῶμα τὸ ἐμὸν ὑπὸ σὲ ἔστω
Apprehendet enim vir fratrem suum , domesticum patris sui : Vestimentum tibi est , princeps esto noster , ruina autem haec sub manu tua .
ወይእኅዝ ፡ ሰብእ ፡ ቢጾ ፡ ወሰብአ ፡ ቤተ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ወይብሎ ፤ ለእመ ፡ ብከ ፡ ልብሰ ፡ ኩነኒ ፡ መልአከ ፡ ወሴስየኒ ።
Indeed a man shall take hold of his brother in the house of his father, saying, “You have clothing, you be our ruler, and let this ruin be under your hand.”
3:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ יִשָּׂא֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֤וּא ׀לֵאמֹר֙ לֹא ־אֶהְיֶ֣ה חֹבֵ֔שׁ וּבְבֵיתִ֕י אֵ֥ין לֶ֖חֶם וְאֵ֣ין שִׂמְלָ֑ה לֹ֥א תְשִׂימֻ֖נִי קְצִ֥ין עָֽם ׃
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ἐρεῖ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ οὐκ ἔσομαί σου ἀρχηγός οὐ γὰρ ἔστιν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ μου ἄρτος οὐδὲ ἱμάτιον οὐκ ἔσομαι ἀρχηγὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου
Respondebit in die illa , dicens : Non sum medicus , et in domo mea non est panis neque vestimentum : nolite constituere me principem populi .
ወይሠጠዎ ፡ ውእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ወይብሎ ፤ ኢይከውነከ ፡ መልአከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልብየ ፡ እክለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤትየ ፡ ወኢልብሰ ፣፡ ወኢይከውን ፡ መልአከ ፡ ለዝሕዝብ ።
In that day he will cry out, saying, “I will not be a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing. You shall not make me ruler of the people.”
3:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֤י כָֽשְׁלָה֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם וִיהוּדָ֖ה נָפָ֑ל כִּֽי ־לְשׁוֹנָ֤ם וּמַֽעַלְלֵיהֶם֙ אֶל ־יְהֹוָ֔ה לַמְר֖וֹת עֵנֵ֥י כְבוֹדֽוֹ ׃
ὅτι ἀνεῖται Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἡ Ιουδαία συμπέπτωκεν καὶ αἱ γλῶσσαι αὐτῶν μετὰ ἀνομίας τὰ πρὸς κύριον ἀπειθοῦντες διότι νῦν ἐταπεινώθη ἡ δόξα αὐτῶν
Ruit enim Jerusalem , et Judas concidit , quia lingua eorum et adinventiones eorum contra Dominum , ut provocarent oculos majestatis ejus .
እስመ ፡ ኀለፈት ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ወይሁዳኒ ፡ ወድቀት ፡ ወልሳኖሙኒ ፡ ዓማፂ ፡ ዘይክሕድዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Yahweh, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
3:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַכָּרַ֤ת פְּנֵיהֶם֙ עָ֣נְתָה בָּ֔ם וְחַטָּאתָ֛ם כִּסְדֹ֥ם הִגִּ֖ידוּ לֹ֣א כִחֵ֑דוּ א֣וֹי לְנַפְשָׁ֔ם כִּי ־גָמְל֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם רָעָֽה ׃
καὶ ἡ αἰσχύνη τοῦ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἀντέστη αὐτοῖς τὴν δὲ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτῶν ὡς Σοδομων ἀνήγγειλαν καὶ ἐνεφάνισαν οὐαὶ τῇ ψυχῇ αὐτῶν διότι βεβούλευνται βουλὴν πονηρὰν καθ’ ἑαυτῶν
Agnitio vultus eorum respondit eis ; et peccatum suum quasi Sodoma praedicaverunt , nec absconderunt . Vae animae eorum , quoniam reddita sunt eis mala !
እስመ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ኀሥረት ፡ ክብሮሙ ፡ ወተኀፍረት ፡ ገጾሙ ፤ ወተቃወመቶሙ ፡ ኃጢአቶሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኃጢአተ ፡ ሰዶም ፡ አስተርአየት ፡ ወተዐውቀት ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
The look of their faces testify against them. They parade their sin like Sodom. They don’t hide it. Woe to their soul! For they have brought disaster upon themselves.
3:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ אִמְר֥וּ צַדִּ֖יק כִּי ־ט֑וֹב כִּֽי ־פְרִ֥י מַעַלְלֵיהֶ֖ם יֹאכֵֽלוּ ׃
εἰπόντες δήσωμεν τὸν δίκαιον ὅτι δύσχρηστος ἡμῖν ἐστιν τοίνυν τὰ γενήματα τῶν ἔργων αὐτῶν φάγονται
Dicite justo quoniam bene , quoniam fructum adinventionum suarum comedet .
ወይቤሉ ፤ ንእስሮ ፡ ለጻድቅ ፡ እስመ ፡ ዕጹብ ፡ ወክቡድ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ለነ ።
Tell the righteous that it will be well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their deeds.
3:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ א֖וֹי לְרָשָׁ֣ע רָ֑ע כִּֽי ־גְמ֥וּל יָדָ֖יו יֵעָ֥שֶׂה לּֽוֹ ׃
οὐαὶ τῷ ἀνόμῳ πονηρὰ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ συμβήσεται αὐτῷ
Vae impio in malum ! retributio enim manuum ejus fiet ei .
አሌሎ ፡ ለኃጥእ ፡ በእከዩ ፣፡ በከመ ፡ እከየ ፡ ምግባረ ፡ እደዊሆሙ ፡ ይረክቡ ።
Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them, for the deeds of their hands will be paid back to them.
3:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַמִּי֙ נֹגְשָׂ֣יו מְעוֹלֵ֔ל וְנָשִׁ֖ים מָ֣שְׁלוּ ב֑וֹ עַמִּי֙ מְאַשְּׁרֶ֣יךָ מַתְעִ֔ים וְדֶ֥רֶךְ אֹרְחֹתֶ֖יךָ בִּלֵּֽעוּ ׃ {פ}
λαός μου οἱ πράκτορες ὑμῶν καλαμῶνται ὑμᾶς καὶ οἱ ἀπαιτοῦντες κυριεύουσιν ὑμῶν λαός μου οἱ μακαρίζοντες ὑμᾶς πλανῶσιν ὑμᾶς καὶ τὸν τρίβον τῶν ποδῶν ὑμῶν ταράσσουσιν
Populum meum exactores sui spoliaverunt , et mulieres dominatae sunt eis . Popule meus , qui te beatum dicunt , ipsi te decipiunt , et viam gressuum tuorum dissipant .
ሕዝብየ ፣፡ መኳንቲክሙ ፡ ያጽሕቡክሙ ፡ ወይሤለጣ ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ አንስት ፤ ሕዝብየ ፣፡ እለ ፡ ያስተበፅዑክሙ ፡ ያስሐቱክሙ ፡ ወይደመስሱ ፡ አሠረ ፡ እገሪክሙ ።
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.
3:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ נִצָּ֥ב לָרִ֖יב יְהֹוָ֑ה וְעֹמֵ֖ד לָדִ֥ין עַמִּֽים ׃
ἀλλὰ νῦν καταστήσεται εἰς κρίσιν κύριος καὶ στήσει εἰς κρίσιν τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ
Stat ad judicandum Dominus , et stat ad judicandos populos .
ወባሕቱ ፡ ይእዜ ፡ ይትነሣእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለኰንኖ ፡ ወያቀውሞሙ ፡ ለሕዝቡ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትዋቀሦሙ ።
Yahweh stands up to contend, and stands to judge the peoples.
3:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ יְהֹוָה֙ בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט יָב֔וֹא עִם ־זִקְנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹ וְשָׂרָ֑יו וְאַתֶּם֙ בִּעַרְתֶּ֣ם הַכֶּ֔רֶם גְּזֵלַ֥ת הֶעָנִ֖י בְּבָתֵּיכֶֽם ׃
αὐτὸς κύριος εἰς κρίσιν ἥξει μετὰ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ μετὰ τῶν ἀρχόντων αὐτοῦ ὑμεῖς δὲ τί ἐνεπυρίσατε τὸν ἀμπελῶνά μου καὶ ἡ ἁρπαγὴ τοῦ πτωχοῦ ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις ὑμῶν
Dominus ad judicium veniet cum senibus populi sui , et principibus ejus ; vos enim depasti estis vineam , et rapina pauperis in domo vestra .
ወይመጽእ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለሊሁ ፡ ምስለ ፡ ሊቃውንት ፡ ሕዝቡ ፡ ወምስለ ፡ መላእክቲሁ ፡ ወይብል ፤ አንትሙ ፡ አውዐይክሙ ፡ ወይንየ ፡ ወበርበረ ፡ ነዳይ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲክሙ ።
Yahweh will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their leaders: “It is you who have eaten up the vineyard. The plunder of the poor is in your houses.
3:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ (מלכם ) [מַה ־לָּכֶם֙ ] תְּדַכְּא֣וּ עַמִּ֔י וּפְנֵ֥י עֲנִיִּ֖ים תִּטְחָ֑נוּ נְאֻם ־אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה צְבָאֽוֹת ׃ {ס}
τί ὑμεῖς ἀδικεῖτε τὸν λαόν μου καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον τῶν πτωχῶν καταισχύνετε
Quare atteritis populum meum , et facies pauperum commolitis ? dicit Dominus Deus exercituum .
ለምንት ፡ ትገፍዕዎሙ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ወታስተኀፍሩ ፡ ገጸ ፡ ነዳይ ።
What do you mean that you crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.
3:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֗ה יַ֚עַן כִּ֤י גָֽבְהוּ֙ בְּנ֣וֹת צִיּ֔וֹן וַתֵּלַ֙כְנָה֙ (נטוות ) [נְטוּי֣וֹת ] גָּר֔וֹן וּֽמְשַׂקְּר֖וֹת עֵינָ֑יִם הָל֤וֹךְ וְטָפֹף֙ תֵּלַ֔כְנָה וּבְרַגְלֵיהֶ֖ם תְּעַכַּֽסְנָה ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος ἀνθ’ ὧν ὑψώθησαν αἱ θυγατέρες Σιων καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὑψηλῷ τραχήλῳ καὶ ἐν νεύμασιν ὀφθαλμῶν καὶ τῇ πορείᾳ τῶν ποδῶν ἅμα σύρουσαι τοὺς χιτῶνας καὶ τοῖς ποσὶν ἅμα παίζουσαι
Et dixit Dominus : Pro eo quod elevatae sunt filiae Sion , et ambulaverunt extento collo , et nutibus oculorum ibant , et plaudebant , ambulabant pedibus suis , et composito gradu incedebant ;
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፤ እስመ ፡ ተዝኅራ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ወየሐውራ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ያገዝፋ ፡ ክሳዶን ፡ ወይትቃጸባ ፡ በአዕይንቲሆን ፡ ወያጽሕሳ ፡ በእገሪሆን ፡ ወይስሕባ ፡ አዝፋረ ፡ አልባሲሆን ፡ ወየሐውራ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይዘፍና ።
Moreover Yahweh said, “Because the daughters of Zion are arrogant, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking daintily as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet;
3:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְשִׂפַּ֣ח אֲדֹנָ֔י קׇדְקֹ֖ד בְּנ֣וֹת צִיּ֑וֹן וַיהֹוָ֖ה פׇּתְהֵ֥ן יְעָרֶֽה ׃ {ס}
καὶ ταπεινώσει ὁ θεὸς ἀρχούσας θυγατέρας Σιων καὶ κύριος ἀποκαλύψει τὸ σχῆμα αὐτῶν
decalvabit Dominus verticem filiarum Sion , et Dominus crinem earum nudabit .
ወያኀሥሮን ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለልሂቃተ ፡ አዋልደ ፡ ጽዮን ፡ ወይቀፍጾን ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አልባሲሆን ።
therefore the Lord brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, and Yahweh will make their scalps bald.”
3:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ בַּיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא יָסִ֣יר אֲדֹנָ֗י אֵ֣ת תִּפְאֶ֧רֶת הָעֲכָסִ֛ים וְהַשְּׁבִיסִ֖ים וְהַשַּׂהֲרֹנִֽים ׃
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἀφελεῖ κύριος τὴν δόξαν τοῦ ἱματισμοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς κόσμους αὐτῶν καὶ τὰ ἐμπλόκια καὶ τοὺς κοσύμβους καὶ τοὺς μηνίσκους
In die illa auferet Dominus ornamentum calceamentum ,
ይእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ይሰልቦን ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አልባሰ ፡ ክብሮን ፡ ወሠርጓቲሆን ፡ ወሐብለታቲሆን ፡ ወባዝግናቲሆን ።
In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces,
3:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַנְּטִפ֥וֹת וְהַשֵּׁיר֖וֹת וְהָרְעָלֽוֹת ׃
καὶ τὸ κάθεμα καὶ τὸν κόσμον τοῦ προσώπου αὐτῶν
et lunulas , et torques , et monilia , et armillas , et mitras ,
ወቀጸላቲሆን ፡ ወባሕርያቲሆን ፡ ወአውቃፊሆን ።
the earrings, the bracelets, the veils,
3:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַפְּאֵרִ֤ים וְהַצְּעָדוֹת֙ וְהַקִּשֻּׁרִ֔ים וּבָתֵּ֥י הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ וְהַלְּחָשִֽׁים ׃
καὶ τὴν σύνθεσιν τοῦ κόσμου τῆς δόξης καὶ τοὺς χλιδῶνας καὶ τὰ ψέλια καὶ τὸ ἐμπλόκιον καὶ τὰ περιδέξια καὶ τοὺς δακτυλίους καὶ τὰ ἐνώτια
et discriminalia , et periscelidas , et murenulas , et olfactoriola , et inaures ,
ወአዕኑጊሆን ፡ ወሕልቀታቲሆን ፡ ወክብሶን ፡ ወአልባሲሆን ፡ ዘሜላት ።
the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume containers, the charms,
3:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַטַּבָּע֖וֹת וְנִזְמֵ֥י הָאָֽף ׃
καὶ τὰ περιπόρφυρα καὶ τὰ μεσοπόρφυρα
et annulos , et gemmas in fronte pendentes ,
ወዘሢራይ ፡ ወዘስግላጥ ።
the signet rings, the nose rings,
3:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ הַמַּֽחֲלָצוֹת֙ וְהַמַּ֣עֲטָפ֔וֹת וְהַמִּטְפָּח֖וֹת וְהָחֲרִיטִֽים ׃
καὶ τὰ ἐπιβλήματα τὰ κατὰ τὴν οἰκίαν καὶ τὰ διαφανῆ λακωνικὰ
et mutatoria , et palliola , et linteamina , et acus ,
ወአልባሰ ፡ ወርቅ ፡ ወአልባሰ ፡ ዐስቅ ።
the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses,
3:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַגִּלְיֹנִים֙ וְהַסְּדִינִ֔ים וְהַצְּנִיפ֖וֹת וְהָרְדִידִֽים ׃
καὶ τὰ βύσσινα καὶ τὰ ὑακίνθινα καὶ τὰ κόκκινα καὶ τὴν βύσσον σὺν χρυσίῳ καὶ ὑακίνθῳ συγκαθυφασμένα καὶ θέριστρα κατάκλιτα
et specula , et sindones , et vittas , et theristra .
ወዐራዞን ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ወመዋጥሒሆን ፡ ዘሰንሰሪቍ ።
the hand mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.
3:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָה֩ תַ֨חַת בֹּ֜שֶׂם מַ֣ק יִֽהְיֶ֗ה וְתַ֨חַת חֲגוֹרָ֤ה נִקְפָּה֙ וְתַ֨חַת מַעֲשֶׂ֤ה מִקְשֶׁה֙ קׇרְחָ֔ה וְתַ֥חַת פְּתִיגִ֖יל מַחֲגֹ֣רֶת שָׂ֑ק כִּי ־תַ֖חַת יֹֽפִי ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἀντὶ ὀσμῆς ἡδείας κονιορτός καὶ ἀντὶ ζώνης σχοινίῳ ζώσῃ καὶ ἀντὶ τοῦ κόσμου τῆς κεφαλῆς τοῦ χρυσίου φαλάκρωμα ἕξεις διὰ τὰ ἔργα σου καὶ ἀντὶ τοῦ χιτῶνος τοῦ μεσοπορφύρου περιζώσῃ σάκκον
Et erit pro suavi odore foetor , et pro zona funiculus , et pro crispanti crine calvitium , et pro fascia pectorali cilicium .
ወህየንተ ፡ መዐዛ ፡ ዕፍረትኪ ፡ ጸበል ፡ ይኩንኪ ፡ ወህየንተ ፡ ቅናትኪ ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ሐብለ ፡ ቅንቲ ፤ ወህየንተ ፡ ቀጸላኪ ፡ ዘወርቅ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ርእስኪ ፡ ብርሐት ፡ ትፃእኪ ፡ በእንተ ፡ እከየ ፡ ምግባርኪ ፤ ወህየንተ ፡ መልበስኪ ፡ ዘሜላት ፡ ልበሲ ፡ ሠቀ ።
It shall happen that instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of well set hair, baldness; instead of a robe, a wearing of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.
3:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ מְתַ֖יִךְ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֑לוּ וּגְבוּרָתֵ֖ךְ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה ׃
καὶ ὁ υἱός σου ὁ κάλλιστος ὃν ἀγαπᾷς μαχαίρᾳ πεσεῖται καὶ οἱ ἰσχύοντες ὑμῶν μαχαίρᾳ πεσοῦνται
Pulcherrimi quoque viri tui gladio cadent , et fortes tui in praelio .
ወወልድኪ ፡ ዘይልህቅ ፡ ዘታፈቅርዮ ፡ ይወድቅ ፡ በኵናት ፡ ወኃያላንኪ ፡ በጸብእ ።
Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.
3:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָנ֥וּ וְאָבְל֖וּ פְּתָחֶ֑יהָ וְנִקָּ֖תָה לָאָ֥רֶץ תֵּשֵֽׁב ׃
καὶ ταπεινωθήσονται καὶ πενθήσουσιν αἱ θῆκαι τοῦ κόσμου ὑμῶν καὶ καταλειφθήσῃ μόνη καὶ εἰς τὴν γῆν ἐδαφισθήσῃ
Et moerebunt atque lugebunt portae ejus , et desolata in terra sedebit .
ይትኀፈሩ ፡ ወይላሕዉ ፡ አስከሬናተ ፡ ሠርጕኪ ፤ ወትተርፊ ፡ ባሕቲትኪ ፡ ወይነፅኁኪ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ምድር ።
Her gates shall lament and mourn. She shall be desolate and sit on the ground.
