6:1
בִּשְׁנַת־מוֹת֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ עֻזִּיָּ֔הוּ וָאֶרְאֶ֧ה אֶת־אֲדֹנָ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב עַל־כִּסֵּ֖א רָ֣ם וְנִשָּׂ֑א וְשׁוּלָ֖יו מְלֵאִ֥ים אֶת־הַהֵיכָֽל׃
καὶ ἐγένετο τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ οὗ ἀπέθανεν Οζιας ὁ βασιλεύς εἶδον τὸν κύριον καθήμενον ἐπὶ θρόνου ὑψηλοῦ καὶ ἐπηρμένου καὶ πλήρης ὁ οἶκος τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ
In anno quo mortuus est rex Ozias, vidi Dominum sedentem super solium excelsum et elevatum ; et ea quae sub ipso erant replebant templum.
ወእምዝ፡ በዓመት፡ በዘሞተ፡ ዖዝያን፡ ንጉሥ፡ ርኢክዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ እንዘ፡ ይነብር፡ ዲበ፡ መንበሩ፡ ልዑል፡ ወነዋኅ፣፡ ወምሉእ፡ ቤተ፡ ስብሐቲሁ።
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.
6:2
שְׂרָפִ֨ים עֹמְדִ֤ים׀מִמַּ֙עַל֙ ל֔וֹ שֵׁ֧שׁ כְּנָפַ֛יִם שֵׁ֥שׁ כְּנָפַ֖יִם לְאֶחָ֑ד בִּשְׁתַּ֣יִם׀ יְכַסֶּ֣ה פָנָ֗יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֛יִם יְכַסֶּ֥ה רַגְלָ֖יו וּבִשְׁתַּ֥יִם יְעוֹפֵֽף׃
καὶ σεραφιν εἱστήκεισαν κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ ἓξ πτέρυγες τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἓξ πτέρυγες τῷ ἑνί καὶ ταῖς μὲν δυσὶν κατεκάλυπτον τὸ πρόσωπον καὶ ταῖς δυσὶν κατεκάλυπτον τοὺς πόδας καὶ ταῖς δυσὶν ἐπέταντο
Seraphim stabant super illud : sex alae uni, et sex alae alteri ; duabus velabant faciem ejus, et duabus velabant pedes ejus, et duabus volabant.
ወሱራፌም፡ ይቀውሙ፡ ዐውዶ፤ ለለ፡ አሐዱ፡ አሐዱ፡ ስድስቱ፡ ክነፊሆሙ፤ ወበክልኤቱ፡ ይከድኑ፡ ገጾሙ፡ ወበክልኤቱ፡ ይከድኑ፡ እገሪሆሙ፡ ወበክልኤቱ፡ ይሰሩ።
Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.
6:3
וְקָרָ֨א זֶ֤ה אֶל־זֶה֙ וְאָמַ֔ר קָד֧וֹשׁ׀קָד֛וֹשׁ קָד֖וֹשׁ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת מְלֹ֥א כׇל־הָאָ֖רֶץ כְּבוֹדֽוֹ׃
καὶ ἐκέκραγον ἕτερος πρὸς τὸν ἕτερον καὶ ἔλεγον ἅγιος ἅγιος ἅγιος κύριος σαβαωθ πλήρης πᾶσα ἡ γῆ τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ
Et clamabant alter ad alterum, et dicebant : Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus Dominus, Deus exercituum ; plena est omnis terra gloria ejus.
ወይኬልሑ፡ አሐዱ፡ አሐዱ፡ ምስለ፡ ካልኡ፡ ወይብሉ፤ ቅዱስ፡ ቅዱስ፡ ቅዱስ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፣፡ መልአ፡ ኵሎ፡ ምድረ፡ ስብሐቲከ።
One called to another, and said, “Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!”
6:4
וַיָּנֻ֙עוּ֙ אַמּ֣וֹת הַסִּפִּ֔ים מִקּ֖וֹל הַקּוֹרֵ֑א וְהַבַּ֖יִת יִמָּלֵ֥א עָשָֽׁן׃
καὶ ἐπήρθη τὸ ὑπέρθυρον ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς ἧς ἐκέκραγον καὶ ὁ οἶκος ἐπλήσθη καπνοῦ
Et commota sunt superliminaria cardinum a voce clamantis, et domus repleta est fumo.
ወእምዝ፡ ተለዐለ፡ መርፈቀ፡ ኆኅት፡ እምቃል፡ ዘይኬልሑ፡ ወመልአ፡ ቤት፡ ጢሰ።
The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.
6:5
וָאֹמַ֞ר אֽוֹי־לִ֣י כִֽי־נִדְמֵ֗יתִי כִּ֣י אִ֤ישׁ טְמֵֽא־שְׂפָתַ֙יִם֙ אָנֹ֔כִי וּבְתוֹךְ֙ עַם־טְמֵ֣א שְׂפָתַ֔יִם אָנֹכִ֖י יוֹשֵׁ֑ב כִּ֗י אֶת־הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת רָא֥וּ עֵינָֽי׃
καὶ εἶπα ὦ τάλας ἐγώ ὅτι κατανένυγμαι ὅτι ἄνθρωπος ὢν καὶ ἀκάθαρτα χείλη ἔχων ἐν μέσῳ λαοῦ ἀκάθαρτα χείλη ἔχοντος ἐγὼ οἰκῶ καὶ τὸν βασιλέα κύριον σαβαωθ εἶδον τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς μου
Et dixi : Vae mihi, quia tacui, quia vir pollutus labiis ego sum, et in medio populi polluta labia habentis ego habito, et regem Dominum exercituum vidi oculis meis.
ወእቤ፤ ኦአነ፡ ሕርቱም፡ እስመ፡ ሰብእ፡ አነ፡ ወደንገፅኩ፡ እስመ፡ ርኩስ፡ ከናፍርየ፡ ወማእከለ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ዘርኩስ፡ ከናፍሪሁ፡ ሀለውኩ፡ አነ፤ ወእምዝ፡ ርኢክዎ፡ በአዕይንትየ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ ንጉሥ።
Then I said, “Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!”
6:6
וַיָּ֣עׇף אֵלַ֗י אֶחָד֙ מִן־הַשְּׂרָפִ֔ים וּבְיָד֖וֹ רִצְפָּ֑ה בְּמֶ֨לְקַחַ֔יִם לָקַ֖ח מֵעַ֥ל הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
καὶ ἀπεστάλη πρός με ἓν τῶν σεραφιν καὶ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ εἶχεν ἄνθρακα ὃν τῇ λαβίδι ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου
Et volavit ad me unus de seraphim, et in manu ejus calculus, quem forcipe tulerat de altari,
ወተፈነወ፡ ኀቤየ፡ አሐዱ፡ እምሱራፌም፡ ወውስተ፡ እዴሁ፡ ፍሕም፡ ዘነሥአ፡ በጕጠት፡ እምሥዋዕ።
Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar.
6:7
וַיַּגַּ֣ע עַל־פִּ֔י וַיֹּ֕אמֶר הִנֵּ֛ה נָגַ֥ע זֶ֖ה עַל־שְׂפָתֶ֑יךָ וְסָ֣ר עֲוֺנֶ֔ךָ וְחַטָּאתְךָ֖ תְּכֻפָּֽר׃
καὶ ἥψατο τοῦ στόματός μου καὶ εἶπεν ἰδοὺ ἥψατο τοῦτο τῶν χειλέων σου καὶ ἀφελεῖ τὰς ἀνομίας σου καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας σου περικαθαριεῖ
et tetigit os meum, et dixit : Ecce tetigit hoc labia tua, et auferetur iniquitas tua, et peccatum tuum mundabitur.
ወአልከፈኒ፡ ከናፍርየ፡ ወይቤለኒ፤ ናሁ፡ አልከፍኩከ፡ ከናፍሪከ፡ ዘንተ፡ ወአእተትኩ፡ ኃጣውኢከ፡ ወአበሳከሂ፡ ያነጽኀሐከ።
He touched my mouth with it, and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven.”
6:8
וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע אֶת־ק֤וֹל אֲדֹנָי֙ אֹמֵ֔ר אֶת־מִ֥י אֶשְׁלַ֖ח וּמִ֣י יֵֽלֶךְ־לָ֑נוּ וָאֹמַ֖ר הִנְנִ֥י שְׁלָחֵֽנִי׃
καὶ ἤκουσα τῆς φωνῆς κυρίου λέγοντος τίνα ἀποστείλω καὶ τίς πορεύσεται πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ εἶπα ἰδού εἰμι ἐγώ ἀπόστειλόν με
Et audivi vocem Domini dicentis : Quem mittam ? et quis ibit nobis ? Et dixi : Ecce ego, mitte me.
ወእምዝ፡ ሰማዕኩ፡ ቃለ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ጸባኦት፡ እንዘ፡ ይብል፤ መነ፡ እፌኑ፡ ወመኑ፡ የሐውር፡ ኀበዝ፡ ሕዝብ፤ ወእቤ፤ ነየ፡ አነ፡ እግዚእየ፡ ፈንወኒ።
I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
6:9
וַיֹּ֕אמֶר לֵ֥ךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה שִׁמְע֤וּ שָׁמ֙וֹעַ֙ וְאַל־תָּבִ֔ינוּ וּרְא֥וּ רָא֖וֹ וְאַל־תֵּדָֽעוּ׃
καὶ εἶπεν πορεύθητι καὶ εἰπὸν τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ἀκοῇ ἀκούσετε καὶ οὐ μὴ συνῆτε καὶ βλέποντες βλέψετε καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδητε
Et dixit : Vade, et dices populo huic : Audite audientes, et nolite intelligere ; et videte visionem, et nolite cognoscere.
ወይቤለኒ፤ ሖር፡ ኀበ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወበሎሙ፤ ሰሚዐ፡ ትሰምዑ፡ ወኢትሌብዉ፤ ወርእየ፡ ትሬእዩ፡ ወኢተአምሩ።
He said, “Go, and tell this people, ‘You hear indeed, but don’t understand. You see indeed, but don’t perceive.’
6:10
הַשְׁמֵן֙ לֵב־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאׇזְנָ֥יו הַכְבֵּ֖ד וְעֵינָ֣יו הָשַׁ֑ע פֶּן־יִרְאֶ֨ה בְעֵינָ֜יו וּבְאׇזְנָ֣יו יִשְׁמָ֗ע וּלְבָב֥וֹ יָבִ֛ין וָשָׁ֖ב וְרָ֥פָא לֽוֹ׃
ἐπαχύνθη γὰρ ἡ καρδία τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν αὐτῶν βαρέως ἤκουσαν καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν ἐκάμμυσαν μήποτε ἴδωσιν τοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖς καὶ τοῖς ὠσὶν ἀκούσωσιν καὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ συνῶσιν καὶ ἐπιστρέψωσιν καὶ ἰάσομαι αὐτούς
Excaeca cor populi hujus, et aures ejus aggrava, et oculos ejus claude : ne forte videat oculis suis, et auribus suis audiat, et corde suo intelligat, et convertatur, et sanem eum.
እስመ፡ አግዘፉ፡ ልቦሙ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወጤዑ፡ እዘኒሆሙ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይስምዑ፤ ወከደኑ፡ ዐይኖሙ፡ ከመ፡ ኢይርአዩ፡ በአዕይንቲሆሙ፡ ወከመ፡ ኢይስምዑ፡ በእዘኒሆሙ፡ ወኢይለብዉ፡ በልቦሙ፡ ወኢይትመየጡ፡ ወኢይሠሀሎሙ።
Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed.”
6:11
וָאֹמַ֕ר עַד־מָתַ֖י אֲדֹנָ֑י וַיֹּ֡אמֶר עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁר֩ אִם־שָׁא֨וּ עָרִ֜ים מֵאֵ֣ין יוֹשֵׁ֗ב וּבָתִּים֙ מֵאֵ֣ין אָדָ֔ם וְהָאֲדָמָ֖ה תִּשָּׁאֶ֥ה שְׁמָמָֽה׃
καὶ εἶπα ἕως πότε κύριε καὶ εἶπεν ἕως ἂν ἐρημωθῶσιν πόλεις παρὰ τὸ μὴ κατοικεῖσθαι καὶ οἶκοι παρὰ τὸ μὴ εἶναι ἀνθρώπους καὶ ἡ γῆ καταλειφθήσεται ἔρημος
Et dixi : Usquequo, Domine ? Et dixit : Donec desolentur civitates absque habitatore, et domus sine homine, et terra relinquetur deserta.
ወእቤ፡ አነ፤ እስከ፡ ማእዜኑ፡ እግዚኦ፤ ወይቤለኒ፤ እስከ፡ ይትመዘበር፡ አህጉር፡ ወአልቦ፡ እንከ፡ ዘይነብር፡ ውስተ፡ አብያት፣፡ ወትተርፍ፡ ባሕቲታ፡ ምድር፡ ከመ፡ በድው።
Then I said, “Lord, how long?” He answered, “Until cities are waste without inhabitant, houses without man, the land becomes utterly waste,
6:12
וְרִחַ֥ק יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־הָאָדָ֑ם וְרַבָּ֥ה הָעֲזוּבָ֖ה בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα μακρυνεῖ ὁ θεὸς τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ οἱ καταλειφθέντες πληθυνθήσονται ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
Et longe faciet Dominus homines, et multiplicabitur quae derelicta fuerat in medio terrae.
ወእምዝ፡ ያነውኆ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ለሰብእ፡ ወይበዝኁ፡ እለ፡ ተርፉ፡ ዲበ፡ ምድር።
and Yahweh has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many within the land.
6:13
וְע֥וֹד בָּהּ֙ עֲשִׂ֣רִיָּ֔ה וְשָׁ֖בָה וְהָיְתָ֣ה לְבָעֵ֑ר כָּאֵלָ֣ה וְכָאַלּ֗וֹן אֲשֶׁ֤ר בְּשַׁלֶּ֙כֶת֙ מַצֶּ֣בֶת בָּ֔ם זֶ֥רַע קֹ֖דֶשׁ מַצַּבְתָּֽהּ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἔτι ἐπ’ αὐτῆς ἔστιν τὸ ἐπιδέκατον καὶ πάλιν ἔσται εἰς προνομὴν ὡς τερέβινθος καὶ ὡς βάλανος ὅταν ἐκπέσῃ ἀπὸ τῆς θήκης αὐτῆς
Et adhuc in ea decimatio, et convertetur, et erit in ostensionem sicut terebinthus, et sicut quercus quae expandit ramos suos ; semen sanctum erit id quod steterit in ea.
ወይከውኑ፡ ትዕሥርተ፡ ወካዕበ፡ ይትሐበለይዋ፣፡ ወትከውን፡ ከመ፡ ዕፀ፡ ጠርቤንቶስ፡ ወከመ፡ ዕፀወ፡ ሊባኖስ፡ ሶበ፡ ይነግፍ፡ ቍጸሊሆሙ።
If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed, as a terebinth, and as an oak whose stump remains when they are cut down, so the holy seed is its stump.”
