11:1
הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֣ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהֹוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃
ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος παρὰ κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν λέγων
Verbum quod factum est a Domino ad Jeremiam, dicens :
ቃል፡ ዘኮነ፡ ኀበ፡ ኤርምያስ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
The word that came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
11:2
שִׁמְע֕וּ אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֑את וְדִבַּרְתֶּם֙ אֶל־אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וְעַל־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
ἀκούσατε τοὺς λόγους τῆς διαθήκης ταύτης καὶ λαλήσεις πρὸς ἄνδρας Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ
Audite verba pacti hujus, et loquimini ad viros Juda, et ad habitatores Jerusalem,
ስምዑ፡ ነገረ፡ ዝ፡ ኪዳን፡ ወንግሮሙ፡ ለሰብአ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወለእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
“Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
11:3
וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אָר֣וּר הָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יִשְׁמַ֔ע אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֥ית הַזֹּֽאת׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς οὐκ ἀκούσεται τῶν λόγων τῆς διαθήκης ταύτης
et dices ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Israël : Maledictus vir qui non audierit verba pacti hujus
ወትብሎሙ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዘዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ እስራኤል፡ ሩጉም፡ ውእቱ፡ ሰብእ፡ ዘኢይሰምዕ፡ ነገረ፡ ዝ፡ ኪዳን፡ ዘአዘዝክዎሙ፡ ለአበዊክሙ፡ አመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ዘአውፃእክዎሙ፡ እምድረ፡ ግብፅ፡ ወእምዕቶነ፡ ሐፂን።
and say to them, Yahweh, the God of Israel says: ‘Cursed is the man who doesn’t hear the words of this covenant,
11:4
אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֣יתִי אֶת־אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֡ם בְּי֣וֹם הוֹצִיאִֽי־אוֹתָ֣ם מֵאֶֽרֶץ־מִצְרַ֩יִם֩ מִכּ֨וּר הַבַּרְזֶ֜ל לֵאמֹ֗ר שִׁמְע֤וּ בְקוֹלִי֙ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם אוֹתָ֔ם כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־אֲצַוֶּ֖ה אֶתְכֶ֑ם וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃
ἧς ἐνετειλάμην τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ᾗ ἀνήγαγον αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἐκ καμίνου τῆς σιδηρᾶς λέγων ἀκούσατε τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ ποιήσατε πάντα ὅσα ἐὰν ἐντείλωμαι ὑμῖν καὶ ἔσεσθέ μοι εἰς λαόν καὶ ἐγὼ ἔσομαι ὑμῖν εἰς θεόν
quod praecepi patribus vestris, in die qua eduxi eos de terra Aegypti, de fornace ferrea, dicens : Audite vocem meam, et facite omnia quae praecipio vobis, et eritis mihi in populum, et ego ero vobis in Deum :
ወእቤ፡ ስምዑኒ፡ ቃልየ፡ ወግበሩ፡ ኵሉ፡ ዘአዘዝኩክሙ።
which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace,’ saying, ‘Obey my voice and do them, according to all which I command you; so you shall be my people, and I will be your God;
11:5
לְמַ֩עַן֩ הָקִ֨ים אֶת־הַשְּׁבוּעָ֜ה אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם לָתֵ֤ת לָהֶם֙ אֶ֣רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֛ב וּדְבַ֖שׁ כַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וָאַ֥עַן וָאֹמַ֖ר אָמֵ֥ן׀יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
ὅπως στήσω τὸν ὅρκον μου ὃν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτοῖς γῆν ῥέουσαν γάλα καὶ μέλι καθὼς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη καὶ ἀπεκρίθην καὶ εἶπα γένοιτο κύριε
ut suscitem juramentum quod juravi patribus vestris, daturum me eis terram fluentem lacte et melle, sicut est dies haec. Et respondi, et dixi : Amen, Domine.
ከመ፡ ዓቅም፡ መሓላየ፡ ዘመሐልኩ፡ ለአበዊክሙ፡ ከመ፡ አሀቦሙ፡ ምድረ፡ እንተ፡ ታውኅዝ፡ ሀሊበ፡ ወመዓረ፡ በከመ፡ ዛቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ወአውሣእከኩ፡ ወእቤ፡ ለይኩን፡ እግዚኦ።
that I may establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey,’ as it is today.” Then I answered, and said, “Amen, Yahweh.”
11:6
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י קְרָ֨א אֶת־כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְחֻצ֥וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֗וּ אֶת־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֔את וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אוֹתָֽם׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἀνάγνωθι τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐν πόλεσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἔξωθεν Ιερουσαλημ λέγων ἀκούσατε τοὺς λόγους τῆς διαθήκης ταύτης καὶ ποιήσατε αὐτούς
Et dixit Dominus ad me : Vociferare omnia verba haec in civitatibus Juda, et foris Jerusalem, dicens : Audite verba pacti hujus, et facite illa,
ወይቤለኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አንብብ፡ ዘነገረ፡ በአህጉረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወበአፍኣ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወበሎሙ፡ ስምዑ፡ ነገረ፡ ዝ፡ ኪዳን፡ ወግበርዎ።
Yahweh said to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
11:7
כִּי֩ הָעֵ֨ד הַעִדֹ֜תִי בַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם בְּיוֹם֩ הַעֲלוֹתִ֨י אוֹתָ֜ם מֵאֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ וְעַד־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְהָעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֖וּ בְּקוֹלִֽי׃
—
quia contestans contestatus sum patres vestros, in die qua eduxi eos de terra Aegypti, usque ad diem hanc : mane consurgens contestatus sum, et dixi : Audite vocem meam.
እስመ፡ አስምዖ፡ አስማዕኩ፡ ለአበዊክሙ፡ በዕለተ፡ አውፃእክዎ፡ እምድረ፡ ግበረፅ፡ እስከ፡ ዛቲ፡ ዕለት፡ ጊሥ፡ ወአስምዕ።
For I earnestly protested to your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even to this day, rising early and protesting, saying, “Obey my voice.”
11:8
וְלֹ֤א שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ וְלֹא־הִטּ֣וּ אֶת־אׇזְנָ֔ם וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ אִ֕ישׁ בִּשְׁרִיר֖וּת לִבָּ֣ם הָרָ֑ע וָאָבִ֨יא עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶֽת־כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֧י הַבְּרִית־הַזֹּ֛את אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א עָשֽׂוּ׃ {ס}
καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησαν
Et non audierunt, nec inclinaverunt aurem suam, sed abierunt, unusquisque in pravitate cordis sui mali : et induxi super eos omnia verba pacti hujus quod praecepi ut facerent, et non fecerunt.
ወኢይሰምዑ፡ ወኢያጸምኡ፡ በእዝኖሙ፡ ወየሐውሩ፡ ሰብእ፡ በፈቃደ፡ ልቦሙ፡ እኩይ፡ ወአምጻእኩ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ኵሎ፡ ነገረ፡ ዝ፡ ኪዳን፡ ዘአዘዝኩ፡ ይግበሩ፡ ወኢይገብሩ።
Yet they didn’t obey, nor turn their ear, but everyone walked in the stubbornness of their evil heart. Therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they didn’t do them.’”
11:9
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י נִֽמְצָא־קֶ֙שֶׁר֙ בְּאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με εὑρέθη σύνδεσμος ἐν ἀνδράσιν Ιουδα καὶ ἐν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Ιερουσαλημ
Et dixit Dominus ad me : Inventa est conjuratio in viris Juda et in habitatoribus Jerusalem.
ወይቤለኒ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ተረክበ፡ ማዕሌት፡ ውስተ፡ ዕደወ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
Yahweh said to me, “A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
11:10
שָׁ֩בוּ֩ עַל־עֲוֺנֹ֨ת אֲבוֹתָ֜ם הָרִאשֹׁנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מֵֽאֲנוּ֙ לִשְׁמ֣וֹעַ אֶת־דְּבָרַ֔י וְהֵ֣מָּה הָלְכ֗וּ אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים לְעׇבְדָ֑ם הֵפֵ֤רוּ בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֕י אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּרַ֖תִּי אֶת־אֲבוֹתָֽם׃ {ס}
ἐπεστράφησαν ἐπὶ τὰς ἀδικίας τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν τῶν πρότερον οἳ οὐκ ἤθελον εἰσακοῦσαι τῶν λόγων μου καὶ ἰδοὺ αὐτοὶ βαδίζουσιν ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ διεσκέδασαν οἶκος Ισραηλ καὶ οἶκος Ιουδα τὴν διαθήκην μου ἣν διεθέμην πρὸς τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν
Reversi sunt ad iniquitates patrum suorum priores, qui noluerunt audire verba mea : et hi ergo abierunt post deos alienos, ut servirent eis : irritum fecerunt domus Israël et domus Juda pactum meum quod pepigi cum patribus eorum.
ተመይጡ፡ ውስተ፡ ኀጢአት፡ አበዊሆሙ፡ ዘቀዲሙ፡ አለ፡ አበዩሰሚዐ፡ ቃልየ፡ ወናሁ፡ እሙንቱ፡ ሐውሩ፡ ወይተልዉ፡ አማልክተ፡ ነኪር፡ ከመ፡ ይጥቀነዩ፡ ሎሙወዐለዉ፡ ቤተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወቤተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ሕግየ፡ ዘሠራዕኩ፡ ለአበዊሆሙ።
They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
11:11
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֤יא אֲלֵיהֶם֙ רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יוּכְל֖וּ לָצֵ֣את מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְזָעֲק֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְלֹ֥א אֶשְׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον κακά ἐξ ὧν οὐ δυνήσονται ἐξελθεῖν ἐξ αὐτῶν καὶ κεκράξονται πρός με καὶ οὐκ εἰσακούσομαι αὐτῶν
Quam ob rem haec dicit Dominus : Ecce ego inducam super eos mala de quibus exire non poterunt : et clamabunt ad me, et non exaudiam eos.
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ እመጽእ፡ እኪተ፡ ላዕለ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ዘኢይክሉ፡ ወጺአ፡ እምኔሁ፡ ወይጸርሑ፡ ኀቤየ፡ ወኢይሰምኦሙ።
Therefore Yahweh says, ‘Behold, I will bring evil on them which they will not be able to escape; and they will cry to me, but I will not listen to them.
11:12
וְֽהָלְכ֞וּ עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה וְיֹֽשְׁבֵי֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם וְזָֽעֲקוּ֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֛ר הֵ֥ם מְקַטְּרִ֖ים לָהֶ֑ם וְהוֹשֵׁ֛עַ לֹא־יוֹשִׁ֥יעוּ לָהֶ֖ם בְּעֵ֥ת רָעָתָֽם׃
καὶ πορεύσονται πόλεις Ιουδα καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ιερουσαλημ καὶ κεκράξονται πρὸς τοὺς θεούς οἷς αὐτοὶ θυμιῶσιν αὐτοῖς μὴ σώσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐν καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν
Et ibunt civitates Juda et habitatores Jerusalem, et clamabunt ad deos quibus libant, et non salvabunt eos in tempore afflictionis eorum.
ወየሐውሩ፡ አህጉረ፡ ይሁዳ፡ ወእለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ወይጸርሑ፡ ኀበ፡ አማልክቲሆሙ፡ እለ፡ የዐጥኑ፡ ሎሙ፡ ወአድኀኖ፡ ኢያድኅንዎሙ፡ አመ፡ ዕለተ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ።
Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to which they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
11:13
כִּ֚י מִסְפַּ֣ר עָרֶ֔יךָ הָי֥וּ אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ יְהוּדָ֑ה וּמִסְפַּ֞ר חֻצ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֗͏ִם שַׂמְתֶּ֤ם מִזְבְּחוֹת֙ לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת מִזְבְּח֖וֹת לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃ {ס}
ὅτι κατ’ ἀριθμὸν τῶν πόλεών σου ἦσαν θεοί σου Ιουδα καὶ κατ’ ἀριθμὸν ἐξόδων τῆς Ιερουσαλημ ἐτάξατε βωμοὺς θυμιᾶν τῇ Βααλ
Secundum numerum enim civitatum tuarum erant dii tui, Juda : et secundum numerum viarum Jerusalem, posuisti aras confusionis, aras ad libandum Baalim.
እስመ፡ ኊልቈ፡ አህጉሪክሙ፡ ከማሁ፡ አማልክቲክሙ፡ ወበኊልቈ፡ ፍናዊሃ፡ ለኢየሩሳሌም፡ ገበርክሙ፡ ምሥዋዓ፡ ለኀፍረት፡ ከመ፡ ትዕጥኑ፡ ለበዓል።
For according to the number of your cities are your gods, Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem you have set up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal.’
11:14
וְאַתָּ֗ה אַל־תִּתְפַּלֵּל֙ בְּעַד־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאַל־תִּשָּׂ֥א בַעֲדָ֖ם רִנָּ֣ה וּתְפִלָּ֑ה כִּ֣י׀ אֵינֶ֣נִּי שֹׁמֵ֗עַ בְּעֵ֛ת קׇרְאָ֥ם אֵלַ֖י בְּעַ֥ד רָעָתָֽם׃ {ס}
καὶ σὺ μὴ προσεύχου περὶ τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ μὴ ἀξίου περὶ αὐτῶν ἐν δεήσει καὶ προσευχῇ ὅτι οὐκ εἰσακούσομαι ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐν ᾧ ἐπικαλοῦνταί με ἐν καιρῷ κακώσεως αὐτῶν
Tu ergo noli orare pro populo hoc, et ne assumas pro eis laudem et orationem, quia non exaudiam in tempore clamoris eorum ad me, in tempore afflictionis eorum.
ወአንተሂ፡ ኢትጸሊ፡ ለዝ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ወኢታስተበቊዕ፡ ወኢትሰአል፡ በጸሎት፡ ሎሙ፡ እስመ፡ ኢይሰምእ።
“Therefore don’t pray for this people. Don’t lift up cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble.
11:15
מֶ֣ה לִידִידִ֞י בְּבֵיתִ֗י עֲשׂוֹתָ֤הּ הַֽמְזִמָּ֙תָה֙ הָרַבִּ֔ים וּבְשַׂר־קֹ֖דֶשׁ יַעַבְר֣וּ מֵעָלָ֑יִךְ כִּ֥י רָעָתֵ֖כִי אָ֥ז תַּעֲלֹֽזִי׃
τί ἡ ἠγαπημένη ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ μου ἐποίησεν βδέλυγμα μὴ εὐχαὶ καὶ κρέα ἅγια ἀφελοῦσιν ἀπὸ σοῦ τὰς κακίας σου ἢ τούτοις διαφεύξῃ
Quid est, quod dilectus meus in domo mea fecit scelera multa ? numquid carnes sanctae auferent a te malitias tuas, in quibus gloriata es ?
ለምንት፡ ሊተ፡ ፍቅርትየ፡ ውስተ፡ ቤትየ፡ ገቢረ፡ ምሥዋዓ፡ ብዙኅ፡ ወሥጋ፡ ቅዱስ፡ የዐትት፡ እምላዕሌኪ፡ በእከይኪ፡ ወበዝኒ፡ ኢትድኅኒ፡ እስመ፡ እከይኪ፡ አሜሃ፡ ያፈርሃኪ።
What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has behaved lewdly with many, and the holy flesh has passed from you? When you do evil, then you rejoice.”
11:16
זַ֤יִת רַֽעֲנָן֙ יְפֵ֣ה פְרִי־תֹ֔אַר קָרָ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה שְׁמֵ֑ךְ לְק֣וֹל׀ הֲמוּלָּ֣ה גְדֹלָ֗ה הִצִּ֥ית אֵשׁ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְרָע֖וּ דָּלִיּוֹתָֽיו׃
ἐλαίαν ὡραίαν εὔσκιον τῷ εἴδει ἐκάλεσεν κύριος τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς φωνὴν περιτομῆς αὐτῆς ἀνήφθη πῦρ ἐπ’ αὐτήν μεγάλη ἡ θλῖψις ἐπὶ σέ ἠχρεώθησαν οἱ κλάδοι αὐτῆς
Olivam uberem, pulchram, fructiferam, speciosam, vocavit Dominus nomen tuum : ad vocem loquelae, grandis exarsit ignis in ea, et combusta sunt fruteta ejus.
ዕፀ፡ ዘይት፡ ሠናይት፡ ራእይ፡ ወፍሬሃኒ፡ ወአዕጹቂሃኒ፡ ብዙኀ፡ ጸውዐ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ስመኪ፡ እምቃለ፡ ምረታ፡ ዐቢይ፡ ነደ፡ እሳት፡ ላዕሌሃ፡ ወማሰኑ፡ አእፁቂሃ።
Yahweh called your name, “A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly fruit.” With the noise of a great roar he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken.
11:17
וַיהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ הַנּוֹטֵ֣עַ אוֹתָ֔ךְ דִּבֶּ֥ר עָלַ֖יִךְ רָעָ֑ה בִּ֠גְלַ֠ל רָעַ֨ת בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם לְהַכְעִסֵ֖נִי לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃ {פ}
καὶ κύριος ὁ καταφυτεύσας σε ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ σὲ κακὰ ἀντὶ τῆς κακίας οἴκου Ισραηλ καὶ οἴκου Ιουδα ὅτι ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς τοῦ παροργίσαι με ἐν τῷ θυμιᾶν αὐτοὺς τῇ Βααλ
Et Dominus exercituum, qui plantavit te, locutus est super te malum, pro malis domus Israël, et domus Juda, quae fecerunt sibi ad irritandum me, libantes Baalim.
ወእግዚአብሔር፡ አምላከ፡ ኀይል፡ ዘተከለኪ፡ ነበበ፡ እኩየ፡ ላዕሌኪ፡ በእንተ፡ ኀጢአተ፡ እስራኤል፡ ወቤተ፡ ይሁዳ፡ እስመ፡ ገብሩ፡ በዘያምዕዑኒ፡ ወየዐጥኑ፡ ለበዓል።
For Yahweh of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Baal.
11:18
וַיהֹוָ֥ה הוֹדִיעַ֖נִי וָאֵדָ֑עָה אָ֖ז הִרְאִיתַ֥נִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃
κύριε γνώρισόν μοι καὶ γνώσομαι τότε εἶδον τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτῶν
Tu autem, Domine, demonstrasti mihi, et cognovi : tunc ostendisti mihi studia eorum.
እግዚኦ፡ አርእየኒ፡ ወአእምር፡ አሜሃ፡ አርአይክኒ፡ ምድባሮሙ።
Yahweh gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it. Then you showed me their doings.
11:19
וַאֲנִ֕י כְּכֶ֥בֶשׂ אַלּ֖וּף יוּבַ֣ל לִטְב֑וֹחַ וְלֹֽא־יָדַ֜עְתִּי כִּֽי־עָלַ֣י׀ חָשְׁב֣וּ מַחֲשָׁב֗וֹת נַשְׁחִ֨יתָה עֵ֤ץ בְּלַחְמוֹ֙ וְנִכְרְתֶ֙נּוּ֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ חַיִּ֔ים וּשְׁמ֖וֹ לֹא־יִזָּכֵ֥ר עֽוֹד׃
ἐγὼ δὲ ὡς ἀρνίον ἄκακον ἀγόμενον τοῦ θύεσθαι οὐκ ἔγνων ἐπ’ ἐμὲ ἐλογίσαντο λογισμὸν πονηρὸν λέγοντες δεῦτε καὶ ἐμβάλωμεν ξύλον εἰς τὸν ἄρτον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκτρίψωμεν αὐτὸν ἀπὸ γῆς ζώντων καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ μνησθῇ ἔτι
Et ego quasi agnus mansuetus, qui portatur ad victimam : et non cognovi quia cogitaverunt super me consilia, dicentes : Mittamus lignum in panem ejus, et eradamus eum de terra viventium, et nomen ejus non memoretur amplius.
ወአንሰ፡ ከመ፡ በግዕ፡ የዋህ፡ ዙወስድዎ፡ ዘይጠብሕዎ፡ ወኢያእመርኩ፡ ተማከሩ፡ ላዕሌየ፡ እኩየ፡ ምክረ፡ ወይቤሉ፡ ንዑ፡ ንደይ፡ ዕፀ፡ ውስተ፡ ኀረብስቱ፡ ወንቀጥቅጦ፡ እምድረ፡ ሕያዋን።
But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter. I didn’t know that they had devised plans against me, saying, “Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit, and let’s cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.”
11:20
וַיהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ שֹׁפֵ֣ט צֶ֔דֶק בֹּחֵ֥ן כְּלָי֖וֹת וָלֵ֑ב אֶרְאֶ֤ה נִקְמָֽתְךָ֙ מֵהֶ֔ם כִּ֥י אֵלֶ֖יךָ גִּלִּ֥יתִי אֶת־רִיבִֽי׃ {ס}
κύριε κρίνων δίκαια δοκιμάζων νεφροὺς καὶ καρδίας ἴδοιμι τὴν παρὰ σοῦ ἐκδίκησιν ἐξ αὐτῶν ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἀπεκάλυψα τὸ δικαίωμά μου
Tu autem, Domine Sabaoth, qui judicas juste, et probas renes et corda, videam ultionem tuam ex eis : tibi enim revelavi causam meam.
ወኢይዘዝክሩ፡ እንከ፡ ስሞ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ መኮንነ፡ ጽድቅ፡ ዘይፈትን፡ ልበ፡ ወኵልያተ።
But, Yahweh of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I will see your vengeance on them; for to you I have revealed my cause.
11:21
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ עַל־אַנְשֵׁ֣י עֲנָת֔וֹת הַֽמְבַקְשִׁ֥ים אֶֽת־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א תִנָּבֵא֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א תָמ֖וּת בְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃ {פ}
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ τοὺς ἄνδρας Αναθωθ τοὺς ζητοῦντας τὴν ψυχήν μου τοὺς λέγοντας οὐ μὴ προφητεύσῃς ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου εἰ δὲ μή ἀποθανῇ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ἡμῶν
Propterea haec dicit Dominus ad viros Anathoth, qui quaerunt animam tuam, et dicunt : Non prophetabis in nomine Domini, et non morieris in manibus nostris :
በእንተ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ላዕለ፡ ሰብአ፡ አናቶት፡ እለ፡ የኀሥሥዋ፡ ለነፍስየ፡ አለ፡ ይብሉ፡ ኢትትነበይ፡ በስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ አመ፡ አኮ፡ ትመውት፡ በእደዊነ።
“Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, ‘You shall not prophesy in Yahweh’s name, that you not die by our hand’—
11:22
לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת הִנְנִ֥י פֹקֵ֖ד עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם הַבַּחוּרִים֙ יָמֻ֣תוּ בַחֶ֔רֶב בְּנֵיהֶם֙ וּבְנ֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם יָמֻ֖תוּ בָּרָעָֽב׃
ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπισκέψομαι ἐπ’ αὐτούς οἱ νεανίσκοι αὐτῶν ἐν μαχαίρᾳ ἀποθανοῦνται καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες αὐτῶν τελευτήσουσιν ἐν λιμῷ
propterea haec dicit Dominus exercituum : Ecce ego visitabo super eos : juvenes morientur in gladio ; filii eorum et filiae eorum morientur in fame.
በበይነ፡ ዝንቱ፡ ከመ፡ ዝ፡ ይቤ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኀያል፡ ናሁ፡ አነ፡ እዋህዮሙ፡ ወራዙቶሙኒ፡ ይመውቱ፡ በኲናት፡ ወደቂቆሙኒ፡ ወአዋልዲሆሙኒ፡ የኀልቁ፡ በርኀብ።
therefore Yahweh of Armies says, ‘Behold, I will punish them. The young men will die by the sword. Their sons and their daughters will die by famine.
11:23
וּשְׁאֵרִ֕ית לֹ֥א תִהְיֶ֖ה לָהֶ֑ם כִּי־אָבִ֥יא רָעָ֛ה אֶל־אַנְשֵׁ֥י עֲנָת֖וֹת שְׁנַ֥ת פְּקֻדָּתָֽם׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐγκατάλειμμα οὐκ ἔσται αὐτῶν ὅτι ἐπάξω κακὰ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Αναθωθ ἐν ἐνιαυτῷ ἐπισκέψεως αὐτῶν
Et reliquiae non erunt ex eis : inducam enim malum super viros Anathoth, annum visitationis eorum.
ወአልቦ፡ ዘይተርፍ፡ እምኔሆሙ፡ እስመ፡ አመጽእ፡ እኪተ፡ ላዕለ፡ እለ፡ ይነብሩ፡ በአናቶት፡ በአመተ፡ እሔውፆሙ።
There will be no remnant to them, for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.’”
