13:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּה ־אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י הָל֞וֹךְ וְקָנִ֤יתָ לְּךָ֙ אֵז֣וֹר פִּשְׁתִּ֔ים וְשַׂמְתּ֖וֹ עַל ־מׇתְנֶ֑יךָ וּבַמַּ֖יִם לֹ֥א תְבִאֵֽהוּ ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος βάδισον καὶ κτῆσαι σεαυτῷ περίζωμα λινοῦν καὶ περίθου περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν σου καὶ ἐν ὕδατι οὐ διελεύσεται
Haec dicit Dominus ad me : Vade , et posside tibi lumbare lineum , et pones illud super lumbos tuos , et in aquam non inferes illud .
ከመዝ ፡ ይቤለኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ሑር ፡ ተመየጥ ፡ ለጀ ፡ ሞራዐ ፡ አጌ ፡ ወዕጥቆ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሐቌከ ፡ ወኢትጥዖ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማይ ።
Yahweh said to me, “Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water.”
13:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶקְנֶ֥ה אֶת ־הָאֵז֖וֹר כִּדְבַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה וָאָשִׂ֖ם עַל ־מׇתְנָֽי ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐκτησάμην τὸ περίζωμα κατὰ τὸν λόγον κυρίου καὶ περιέθηκα περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν μου
Et possedi lumbare juxta verbum Domini , et posui circa lumbos meos .
ወተመየጥኩ ፡ ሞራዐ ፡ በከመ ፡ ይቤለኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአጠቁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሐቌየ ።
So I bought a belt according to Yahweh’s word, and put it on my waist.
13:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֧י דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֛ה אֵלַ֖י שֵׁנִ֥ית לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
Et factus est sermo Domini ad me secundo , dicens :
ወነበበኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዳግመ ፡ ወይቤለኒ ።
Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying,
13:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ קַ֧ח אֶת ־הָאֵז֛וֹר אֲשֶׁ֥ר קָנִ֖יתָ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל ־מׇתְנֶ֑יךָ וְקוּם֙ לֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וְטׇמְנֵ֥הוּ שָׁ֖ם בִּנְקִ֥יק הַסָּֽלַע ׃
λαβὲ τὸ περίζωμα τὸ περὶ τὴν ὀσφύν σου καὶ ἀνάστηθι καὶ βάδισον ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην καὶ κατάκρυψον αὐτὸ ἐκεῖ ἐν τῇ τρυμαλιᾷ τῆς πέτρας
Tolle lumbare quod possedisti , quod est circa lumbos tuos : et surgens vade ad Euphraten , et absconde ibi illud in foramine petrae .
ንሣእ ፡ ዝኰ ፡ ሞራዐ ፡ ዘተሣየጥከ ፡ ለሐቌከ ፡ ተንሥእ ፡ ወሑር ፡ ኤፍራጥስ ፡ ወኅብዖ ፡ ህየ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐዘቅተ ፡ ኰኵሕ ።
“Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock.”
13:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֵלֵ֕ךְ וָאֶטְמְנֵ֖הוּ בִּפְרָ֑ת כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהֹוָ֖ה אוֹתִֽי ׃
καὶ ἐπορεύθην καὶ ἔκρυψα αὐτὸ ἐν τῷ Εὐφράτῃ καθὼς ἐνετείλατό μοι κύριος
Et abii , et abscondi illud in Euphrate , sicut praeceperat mihi Dominus .
ወሖርኩ ፡ ወኀባዕክዎ ፡ ውስተተ ፡ ኤፍራጥስ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዘኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ።
So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.
13:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֕י מִקֵּ֖ץ יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י ק֚וּם לֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וְקַ֤ח מִשָּׁם֙ אֶת ־הָ֣אֵז֔וֹר אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתִ֖יךָ לְטׇמְנוֹ ־שָֽׁם ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μεθ’ ἡμέρας πολλὰς καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἀνάστηθι βάδισον ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην καὶ λαβὲ ἐκεῖθεν τὸ περίζωμα ὃ ἐνετειλάμην σοι τοῦ κατακρύψαι ἐκεῖ
Et factum est post dies plurimos , dixit Dominus ad me : Surge , vade ad Euphraten , et tolle inde lumbare quod praecepi tibi ut absconderes illud ibi .
እምድኅረ ፡ ጒንዱይ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ይቤለኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ተንሥእ ፡ ወሑር ፡ ኤፍራጥስ ፡ ወንሥአ ፡ እምህየ ፡ ዝኰ ፡ ሞራዐ ፡ ዘአዘዝኩከ ፡ ትኅባዕ ፡ ህየ ።
After many days, Yahweh said to me, “Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.”
13:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֵלֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וָאֶחְפֹּ֗ר וָֽאֶקַּח֙ אֶת ־הָ֣אֵז֔וֹר מִן ־הַמָּק֖וֹם אֲשֶׁר ־טְמַנְתִּ֣יו שָׁ֑מָּה וְהִנֵּה֙ נִשְׁחַ֣ת הָאֵז֔וֹר לֹ֥א יִצְלַ֖ח לַכֹּֽל ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἐπορεύθην ἐπὶ τὸν Εὐφράτην ποταμὸν καὶ ὤρυξα καὶ ἔλαβον τὸ περίζωμα ἐκ τοῦ τόπου οὗ κατώρυξα αὐτὸ ἐκεῖ καὶ ἰδοὺ διεφθαρμένον ἦν ὃ οὐ μὴ χρησθῇ εἰς οὐθέν
Et abii ad Euphraten , et fodi , et tuli lumbare de loco ubi absconderam illud : et ecce computruerat lumbare , ita ut nulli usui aptum esset .
ወሖርኩ ፡ ኤፍራጥስ ፡ ወከረይኩ ፡ ወነሣእኩ ፡ ዝኰ ፡ ሞራዐ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ ደፈንክዎ ፡ ወረከብኩ ፡ ብጻላቲሃ ፡ ወአጽርቅተ ፡ ዘለምንትሂ ፡ ኢይበቊዕ ።
Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was ruined. It was profitable for nothing.
13:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων
Et factum est verbum Domini ad me , dicens :
ወኮነ ፡ ቃለ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኀቤየ ።
Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
13:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֑ה כָּ֠כָה אַשְׁחִ֞ית אֶת ־גְּא֧וֹן יְהוּדָ֛ה וְאֶת ־גְּא֥וֹן יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם הָרָֽב ׃
τάδε λέγει κύριος οὕτω φθερῶ τὴν ὕβριν Ιουδα καὶ τὴν ὕβριν Ιερουσαλημ
Haec dicit Dominus : Sic putrescere faciam superbiam Juda , et superbiam Jerusalem multam :
ወይቤለኒ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ አኀሠራ ፡ ለጽዕለተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወለጽዕለተ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ ብዝኅት ።
“Yahweh says, ‘In this way I will ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
13:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ הָעָם֩ הַזֶּ֨ה הָרָ֜ע הַֽמֵּאֲנִ֣ים ׀ לִשְׁמ֣וֹעַ אֶת ־דְּבָרַ֗י הַהֹֽלְכִים֙ בִּשְׁרִר֣וּת לִבָּ֔ם וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעׇבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וִיהִי֙ כָּאֵז֣וֹר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא ־יִצְלַ֖ח לַכֹּֽל ׃ {ס}
τὴν πολλὴν ταύτην ὕβριν τοὺς μὴ βουλομένους ὑπακούειν τῶν λόγων μου καὶ πορευθέντας ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων τοῦ δουλεύειν αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῦ προσκυνεῖν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἔσονται ὥσπερ τὸ περίζωμα τοῦτο ὃ οὐ χρησθήσεται εἰς οὐθέν
populum istum pessimum qui nolunt audire verba mea , et ambulant in pravitate cordis sui , abieruntque post deos alienos ut servirent eis et adorarent eos : et erunt sicut lumbare istud , quod nulli usui aptum est .
ወለዝኒ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እኩይ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢይፈቅዱ ፡ ወኢይሰምዑቃልየ ፡ ወየሐውሩ ፡ በግዕዘ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ እኩይ ፡ ወየሐውሩ ፡ ወይተልዉ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይትቀነዩ ፡ ሎሙ ፡ ወያመልክዎሙ ፡ ወይከውኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ሞራዕ ፡ ዘለምንትኒ ፡ ኢይበቊዕ ።
This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and have gone after other gods to serve them and to worship them, will even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing.
13:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ יִדְבַּ֨ק הָאֵז֜וֹר אֶל ־מׇתְנֵי ־אִ֗ישׁ כֵּ֣ן הִדְבַּ֣קְתִּי אֵ֠לַ֠י אֶת ־כׇּל ־בֵּ֨ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וְאֶת ־כׇּל ־בֵּ֤ית יְהוּדָה֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וּלְשֵׁ֥ם וְלִתְהִלָּ֖ה וּלְתִפְאָ֑רֶת וְלֹ֖א שָׁמֵֽעוּ ׃
ὅτι καθάπερ κολλᾶται τὸ περίζωμα περὶ τὴν ὀσφὺν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου οὕτως ἐκόλλησα πρὸς ἐμαυτὸν τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ πᾶν οἶκον Ιουδα τοῦ γενέσθαι μοι εἰς λαὸν ὀνομαστὸν καὶ εἰς καύχημα καὶ εἰς δόξαν καὶ οὐκ εἰσήκουσάν μου
Sicut enim adhaeret lumbare ad lumbos viri , sic agglutinavi mihi omnem domum Israël , et omnem domum Juda , dicit Dominus , ut essent mihi in populum , et in nomen , et in laudem , et in gloriam : et non audierunt .
በከመ ፡ ይጠግዕ ፡ ዝ ፡ ሞራዕ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሐቌ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ከማሁ ፡ አቅረብክዎሙ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወለኵሎሙ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ከመ ፡ ኩነኒ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ለክብር ፡ ወለምክህ ፡ ወለስምዕ ፡ ወኢሰምዑኒ ።
For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me,’ says Yahweh; ‘that they may be to me for a people, for a name, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’
13:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶת ־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה {ס} כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כׇּל ־נֵ֖בֶל יִמָּ֣לֵא יָ֑יִן וְאָמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יךָ הֲיָדֹ֙עַ֙ לֹ֣א נֵדַ֔ע כִּ֥י כׇל ־נֵ֖בֶל יִמָּ֥לֵא יָֽיִן ׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον πᾶς ἀσκὸς πληρωθήσεται οἴνου καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ μὴ γνόντες οὐ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι πᾶς ἀσκὸς πληρωθήσεται οἴνου
Dices ergo ad eos sermonem istum : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Israël : Omnis laguncula implebitur vino . Et dicent ad te : Numquid ignoramus quia omnis laguncula implebitur vino ?
ወትብሎሙ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዝቅ ፡ መልዕኑ ፡ ወይነ ፡ ወለእመ ፡ ይቤሉከ ፡ እንዳዒ ፡ ኢያእመርነ ፡ ከመ ፡ ይመልዕ ፡ ወይነ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዝቅ ።
“Therefore you shall speak to them this word: ‘Yahweh, the God of Israel says, “Every container should be filled with wine.”’ They will tell you, ‘Do we not certainly know that every container should be filled with wine?’
13:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּֽה ־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה הִנְנִ֣י מְמַלֵּ֣א אֶת ־כׇּל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֪רֶץ הַזֹּ֟את וְאֶת ־הַמְּלָכִ֣ים הַיֹּשְׁבִים֩ לְדָוִ֨ד עַל ־כִּסְא֜וֹ וְאֶת ־הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְאֶת ־הַנְּבִאִ֗ים וְאֵ֛ת כׇּל ־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלָ֖͏ִם שִׁכָּרֽוֹן ׃
καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πληρῶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας τὴν γῆν ταύτην καὶ τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν τοὺς καθημένους υἱοὺς Δαυιδ ἐπὶ θρόνου αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ τοὺς προφήτας καὶ τὸν Ιουδαν καὶ πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ μεθύσματι
Et dices ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus : Ecce ego implebo omnes habitatores terrae hujus , et reges qui sedent de stirpe David super thronum ejus , et sacerdotes , et prophetas , et omnes habitatores Jerusalem , ebrietate .
ትብሉ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናሁ ፡ አነ ፡ እመልዖሙ ፡ ለኵሎሙእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዝ ፡ ምድር ፡ ወለነገሥቶሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኢሩሳሌም ፡ እመልዖሙ ፡ ስካረ ፡ ወይሰክሩ ።
Then tell them, ‘Yahweh says, “Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, the priests, the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
13:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְנִפַּצְתִּים֩ אִ֨ישׁ אֶל ־אָחִ֜יו וְהָאָב֧וֹת וְהַבָּנִ֛ים יַחְדָּ֖ו נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה לֹֽא ־אֶחְמ֧וֹל וְלֹא ־אָח֛וּס וְלֹ֥א אֲרַחֵ֖ם מֵהַשְׁחִיתָֽם ׃
καὶ διασκορπιῶ αὐτοὺς ἄνδρα καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς πατέρας αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ οὐκ ἐπιποθήσω λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ φείσομαι καὶ οὐκ οἰκτιρήσω ἀπὸ διαφθορᾶς αὐτῶν
Et dispergam eos virum a fratre suo , et patres et filios pariter , ait Dominus . Non parcam , et non concedam : neque miserebor , ut non disperdam eos .
ወይዘረዉ ፡ በበአሐዱ ፡ ብእሲ ፡ ወአብ ፡ እምወልዱ ፡ ወይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ኢይሠሃሎሙ ፡ ወኢይምህኮሙ ፡ ወኢይምህሮሙ ፡ ወኢይትመየጦሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ሙስናሆሙ ።
I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together,” says Yahweh: “I will not pity, spare, or have compassion, that I should not destroy them.”’”
13:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ שִׁמְע֥וּ וְהַאֲזִ֖ינוּ אַל ־תִּגְבָּ֑הוּ כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר ׃
ἀκούσατε καὶ ἐνωτίσασθε καὶ μὴ ἐπαίρεσθε ὅτι κύριος ἐλάλησεν
Audite , et auribus percipite : nolite elevari , quia Dominus locutus est .
ስምዑ ፡ ወአጽምዑ ፡ ወኢትተአበዩ ፡ በስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Hear, and give ear. Don’t be proud, for Yahweh has spoken.
13:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ תְּנוּ֩ לַיהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֤ם כָּבוֹד֙ בְּטֶ֣רֶם יַחְשִׁ֔ךְ וּבְטֶ֛רֶם יִֽתְנַגְּפ֥וּ רַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם עַל ־הָ֣רֵי נָ֑שֶׁף וְקִוִּיתֶ֤ם לְאוֹר֙ וְשָׂמָ֣הּ לְצַלְמָ֔וֶת (ישית ) [וְשִׁ֖ית ] לַעֲרָפֶֽל ׃
δότε τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ὑμῶν δόξαν πρὸ τοῦ συσκοτάσαι καὶ πρὸς τοῦ προσκόψαι πόδας ὑμῶν ἐπ’ ὄρη σκοτεινὰ καὶ ἀναμενεῖτε εἰς φῶς καὶ ἐκεῖ σκιὰ θανάτου καὶ τεθήσονται εἰς σκότος
Date Domino Deo vestro gloriam antequam contenebrescat , et antequam offendant pedes vestri ad montes caliginosos : exspectabitis lucem , et ponet eam in umbram mortis , et in caliginem .
ሀቡ ፡ ስብሐተ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክክሙ ፡ ዘእንበለ ፡ ይጽልምክሙ ፡ ወዘእንበለ ፡ ይትዐቀፉ ፡ እገሪክሙ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አድባረ ፡ ጽልመት ፡ ወትሴፈዉ ፡ ብርሃነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ህየ ፡ ጽላሎተ ፡ ሞት ፡ ወያነብሩክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጽልመት ።
Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it deep darkness.
13:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאִם֙ לֹ֣א תִשְׁמָע֔וּהָ בְּמִסְתָּרִ֥ים תִּבְכֶּֽה ־נַפְשִׁ֖י מִפְּנֵ֣י גֵוָ֑ה וְדָמֹ֨עַ תִּדְמַ֜ע וְתֵרַ֤ד עֵינִי֙ דִּמְעָ֔ה כִּ֥י נִשְׁבָּ֖ה עֵ֥דֶר יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀκούσητε κεκρυμμένως κλαύσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ὑμῶν ἀπὸ προσώπου ὕβρεως καὶ κατάξουσιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν δάκρυα ὅτι συνετρίβη τὸ ποίμνιον κυρίου
Quod si hoc non audieritis , in abscondito plorabit anima mea a facie superbiae : plorans plorabit , et deducet oculus meus lacrimam , quia captus est grex Domini .
ወእመሰ ፡ ኢሰማዕክሙ ፡ ትበኪ ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ በኅቡዕ ፡ እምቅድመ ፡ ኀሣርክሙ ፡ ወአንብኣኒ ፡ ታነብዕ ፡ ዐይንየ ፡ ወይውኅዝ ፡ አንብዕ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተረሥአ ፡ መርዔተ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
But if you will not hear it, my soul will weep in secret for your pride. My eye will weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock has been taken captive.
13:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֱמֹ֥ר לַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וְלַגְּבִירָ֖ה הַשְׁפִּ֣ילוּ שֵׁ֑בוּ כִּ֤י יָרַד֙ מַרְאֲשׁ֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם עֲטֶ֖רֶת תִּֽפְאַרְתְּכֶֽם ׃
εἴπατε τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ τοῖς δυναστεύουσιν ταπεινώθητε καὶ καθίσατε ὅτι καθῃρέθη ἀπὸ κεφαλῆς ὑμῶν στέφανος δόξης ὑμῶν
Dic regi et dominatrici : Humiliamini , sedete , quoniam descendit de capite vestro corona gloriae vestrae .
በሎሙ ፡ ለነገሥቶሙ ፡ ወለዐበይቶሙ ፡ አትሕቱ ፡ ርስክሙ ፡ ወንበሩ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይሰልቡክሙ ፡ አክሊለ ፡ ምክህክሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ርእስክሙ ።
Say to the king and to the queen mother, “Humble yourselves. Sit down, for your crowns have come down, even the crown of your glory.
13:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ עָרֵ֥י הַנֶּ֛גֶב סֻגְּר֖וּ וְאֵ֣ין פֹּתֵ֑חַ הׇגְלָ֧ת יְהוּדָ֛ה כֻּלָּ֖הּ הׇגְלָ֥ת שְׁלוֹמִֽים ׃ {ס}
πόλεις αἱ πρὸς νότον συνεκλείσθησαν καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀνοίγων ἀπῳκίσθη Ιουδας συνετέλεσεν ἀποικίαν τελείαν
Civitates austri clausae sunt , et non est qui aperiat : translata est omnis Juda transmigratione perfecta .
ወይትዓፀዉ ፡ አህጉር ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ ናጌብ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይርኅዎን ፡ ወይሁዳኒ ፡ ፈለሰ ፡ ፍጹመ ፡ ፍልሰተ ።
The cities of the South are shut up, and there is no one to open them. Judah is carried away captive: all of them. They are wholly carried away captive.
13:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ (שאי ) [שְׂא֤וּ ] עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ (וראי ) [וּרְא֔וּ ] הַבָּאִ֖ים מִצָּפ֑וֹן אַיֵּ֗ה הָעֵ֙דֶר֙ נִתַּן ־לָ֔ךְ צֹ֖אן תִּפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ ׃
ἀνάλαβε ὀφθαλμούς σου Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἰδὲ τοὺς ἐρχομένους ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ποῦ ἐστιν τὸ ποίμνιον ὃ ἐδόθη σοι πρόβατα δόξης σου
Levate oculos vestros et videte , qui venitis ab aquilone : ubi est grex qui datus est tibi , pecus inclytum tuum ?
አንሥኡ ፡ አዕንቲክሙ ፡ ወርእይዎሙ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ይመጽኡ ፡ እምሰሜን ፡ አይቴኑ ፡ መርዔት ፡ ዘወሀቡ ፡ ለኪ ፡ አባግኣ ፡ ክብርኪ ።
Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north. Where is the flock that was given to you, your beautiful flock?
13:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ מַה ־תֹּֽאמְרִי֙ כִּֽי ־יִפְקֹ֣ד עָלַ֔יִךְ וְ֠אַ֠תְּ לִמַּ֨דְתְּ אֹתָ֥ם עָלַ֛יִךְ אַלֻּפִ֖ים לְרֹ֑אשׁ הֲל֤וֹא חֲבָלִים֙ יֹֽאחֱז֔וּךְ כְּמ֖וֹ אֵ֥שֶׁת לֵדָֽה ׃
τί ἐρεῖς ὅταν ἐπισκέπτωνταί σε καὶ σὺ ἐδίδαξας αὐτοὺς ἐπὶ σὲ μαθήματα εἰς ἀρχήν οὐκ ὠδῖνες καθέξουσίν σε καθὼς γυναῖκα τίκτουσαν
Quid dices cum visitaverit te ? tu enim docuisti eos adversum te , et erudisti in caput tuum . Numquid non dolores apprehendent te , quasi mulierem parturientem ?
ምንት ፡ ትብሊ ፡ አመ ፡ ይዋህዩኪ ፡ ወአንቲኒ ፡ መሀርኪዮሙ ፡ ትምህርተኪ ፡ ዘቀዲሙ ፡ አኮኑ ፡ ማሕምም ፡ አኀዘኪ ፡ ከመ ፡ እንተ ፡ እውልድ ።
What will you say when he sets over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? Won’t sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail?
13:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְכִ֤י תֹֽאמְרִי֙ בִּלְבָבֵ֔ךְ מַדּ֖וּעַ קְרָאֻ֣נִי אֵ֑לֶּה בְּרֹ֧ב עֲוֺנֵ֛ךְ נִגְל֥וּ שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ נֶחְמְס֥וּ עֲקֵבָֽיִךְ ׃
καὶ ἐὰν εἴπῃς ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου διὰ τί ἀπήντησέν μοι ταῦτα διὰ τὸ πλῆθος τῆς ἀδικίας σου ἀνεκαλύφθη τὰ ὀπίσθιά σου παραδειγματισθῆναι τὰς πτέρνας σου
Quod si dixeris in corde tuo : Quare venerunt mihi haec ? propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuae revelata sunt verecundiora tua , pollutae sunt plantae tuae .
ወእመ ፡ ትብሊ ፡ በልብኪ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምንት ፡ ረከበኒ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ብዝኀ ፡ ኀጢአትኪ ፡ ወተከሥተ ፡ ሠኰናኪ ።
If you say in your heart, “Why have these things come on me?” Your skirts are uncovered because of the greatness of your iniquity, and your heels suffer violence.
13:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֲיַהֲפֹ֤ךְ כּוּשִׁי֙ עוֹר֔וֹ וְנָמֵ֖ר חֲבַרְבֻּרֹתָ֑יו גַּם ־אַתֶּם֙ תּוּכְל֣וּ לְהֵיטִ֔יב לִמֻּדֵ֖י הָרֵֽעַ ׃
εἰ ἀλλάξεται Αἰθίοψ τὸ δέρμα αὐτοῦ καὶ πάρδαλις τὰ ποικίλματα αὐτῆς καὶ ὑμεῖς δυνήσεσθε εὖ ποιῆσαι μεμαθηκότες τὰ κακά
Si mutare potest Aethiops pellem suam , aut pardus varietates suas , et vos poteritis benefacere , cum didiceritis malum .
የኀድግኑ ፡ ዘይት ፡ ጾታሞ ፡ ወነብርሂ ፡ ኅበሪሁ ፡ ትክልኑ ፡ አንትሙ ፡ ገቢረ ፡ ሠናይ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተምህርክሙ ፡ እኩየ ።
Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may you also do good, who are accustomed to do evil.
13:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַאֲפִיצֵ֖ם כְּקַשׁ ־עוֹבֵ֑ר לְר֖וּחַ מִדְבָּֽר ׃
καὶ διέσπειρα αὐτοὺς ὡς φρύγανα φερόμενα ὑπὸ ἀνέμου εἰς ἔρημον
Et disseminabo eos quasi stipulam quae vento raptatur in deserto .
ወእዝርዎሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ሐሠር ፡ ዘይነሥእ ፡ ነፋስ ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ገዳም ።
“Therefore I will scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.
13:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ זֶ֣ה גוֹרָלֵ֧ךְ מְנָת ־מִדַּ֛יִךְ מֵאִתִּ֖י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר֙ שָׁכַ֣חַתְּ אוֹתִ֔י וַֽתִּבְטְחִ֖י בַּשָּֽׁקֶר ׃
οὗτος ὁ κλῆρός σου καὶ μερὶς τοῦ ἀπειθεῖν ὑμᾶς ἐμοί λέγει κύριος ὡς ἐπελάθου μου καὶ ἤλπισας ἐπὶ ψεύδεσιν
Haec sors tua , parsque mensurae tuae a me , dicit Dominus , quia oblita es mei , et confisa es in mendacio .
ዝ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ መክፈልትኪ ፡ ወርስትኪ ፡ እም ፡ ኀቤየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ረሣእክኒ ፡ ወተወከልኪ ፡ በሐሰት ።
This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me,” says Yahweh, “because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.”
13:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגַם ־אֲנִ֛י חָשַׂ֥פְתִּי שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ עַל ־פָּנָ֑יִךְ וְנִרְאָ֖ה קְלוֹנֵֽךְ ׃
κἀγὼ ἀποκαλύψω τὰ ὀπίσω σου ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπόν σου καὶ ὀφθήσεται ἡ ἀτιμία σου
Unde et ego nudavi femora tua contra faciem tuam , et apparuit ignominia tua :
ወአነ ፡ እቀፍጸኪ ፡ እምድኅሬኪ ፡ መንገለ ፡ ገጽኪ ፡ ወያሠተርኢ ፡ ኀሣርኪ ።
Therefore I will also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame will appear.
13:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ נִאֻפַ֤יִךְ וּמִצְהֲלוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ זִמַּ֣ת זְנוּתֵ֔ךְ עַל ־גְּבָעוֹת֙ בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה רָאִ֖יתִי שִׁקּוּצָ֑יִךְ א֥וֹי לָךְ֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם לֹ֣א תִטְהֲרִ֔י אַחֲרֵ֥י מָתַ֖י עֹֽד ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἡ μοιχεία σου καὶ ὁ χρεμετισμός σου καὶ ἡ ἀπαλλοτρίωσις τῆς πορνείας σου ἐπὶ τῶν βουνῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀγροῖς ἑώρακα τὰ βδελύγματά σου οὐαί σοι Ιερουσαλημ ὅτι οὐκ ἐκαθαρίσθης ὀπίσω μου ἕως τίνος ἔτι
adulteria tua , et hinnitus tuus , scelus fornicationis tuae : super colles in agro vidi abominationes tuas . Vae tibi , Jerusalem ! non mundaberis post me : usquequo adhuc ?
ዝሙተ ፡ ወምርዓተ ፡ ዘምዎ ፡ ዘመውኪ ፡ ወአፈድፈድኪዮ ፡ ለዝሙትኪ ፡ በውስተ ፡ አውግር ፡ ወበውስተሂ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ወበውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ርኢኩ ፡ ርኵሰኪ ፡ አሌ ፡ ለኪ ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም ፡ እስመ ፡ ኢነጻእኪ ፡ ድኅሬየ ፡ እስከ ፡ ማእዜኑ ፡ እንከ ፡ ትነጽሒ ።
I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean. How long will it yet be?”
