15:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י אִם ־יַעֲמֹ֨ד מֹשֶׁ֤ה וּשְׁמוּאֵל֙ לְפָנַ֔י אֵ֥ין נַפְשִׁ֖י אֶל ־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה שַׁלַּ֥ח מֵעַל ־פָּנַ֖י וְיֵצֵֽאוּ ׃
καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐὰν στῇ Μωυσῆς καὶ Σαμουηλ πρὸ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἔστιν ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς αὐτούς ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ ἐξελθέτωσαν
Et dixit Dominus ad me : Si steterit Moyses et Samuel coram me , non est anima mea ad populum istum : ejice illos a facie mea , et egrediantur .
ወይቤለኒ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እመ ፡ ቆሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወሳሙኤል ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ ኢኀሀለወት ፡ ነፍስየ ፡ ኀቤሆሙ ፡ ፈንዎሙ ፡ ዳዕሙ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ይሑሩ ።
Then Yahweh said to me, “Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!
15:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָיָ֛ה כִּי ־יֹאמְר֥וּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ אָ֣נָה נֵצֵ֑א וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּה ־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר לַמָּ֤וֶת לַמָּ֙וֶת֙ וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לַחֶ֙רֶב֙ לַחֶ֔רֶב וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לָרָעָב֙ לָרָעָ֔ב וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לַשְּׁבִ֖י לַשֶּֽׁבִי ׃
καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ ποῦ ἐξελευσόμεθα καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὅσοι εἰς θάνατον εἰς θάνατον καὶ ὅσοι εἰς μάχαιραν εἰς μάχαιραν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς λιμόν εἰς λιμόν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν
Quod si dixerint ad te : Quo egrediemur ? dices ad eos : Haec dicit Dominus : Qui ad mortem , ad mortem , et qui ad gladium , ad gladium , et qui ad famem , ad famem , et qui ad captivitatem , ad captivitatem .
ወለእመ ፡ ይቤሉከ ፡ አይቴኑ ፡ ነሐውር ፡ በሎሙ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘሂ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሞት ፡ ለሞት ፡ ወዘሂ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኲናት ፡ ለኲናት ፡ ወዘሂ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ረኀብ ፡ ለረኀብ ፡ ወዘሂ ፡ ተፄውዎ ፡ ለተፄውዎ ።
It will happen when they ask you, ‘Where shall we go out?’ then you shall tell them, ‘Yahweh says: “Such as are for death, to death; such as are for the sword, to the sword; such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.”’
15:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּפָקַדְתִּ֨י עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אַרְבַּ֤ע מִשְׁפָּחוֹת֙ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֔ה אֶת ־הַחֶ֣רֶב לַהֲרֹ֔ג וְאֶת ־הַכְּלָבִ֖ים לִסְחֹ֑ב וְאֶת ־ע֧וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם וְאֶת ־בֶּהֱמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ לֶאֱכֹ֥ל וּלְהַשְׁחִֽית ׃
καὶ ἐκδικήσω ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς τέσσαρα εἴδη λέγει κύριος τὴν μάχαιραν εἰς σφαγὴν καὶ τοὺς κύνας εἰς διασπασμὸν καὶ τὰ θηρία τῆς γῆς καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ εἰς διαφθοράν
Et visitabo super eos quatuor species , dicit Dominus : gladium ad occisionem , et canes ad lacerandum , et volatilia caeli et bestias terrae ad devorandum et dissipandum .
ወእትቤቀሎሙ ፡ አርባዕተ ፡ በቀለ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ እለሂ ፡ በኲናት ፡ ረገዝዎሙ ፡ ከለባት ፡ ይቤ ፡ ጽልዕዎሙ ፡ ወአእዋፈ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወአራዊተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ይበልዕዎሙ ፡ ወያማስንዎሙ ፡ ወይፀይዑ ፡ ወየዐጽዩ ።
“I will appoint over them four kinds,” says Yahweh: “the sword to kill, the dogs to tear, the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
15:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּנְתַתִּ֣ים (לזועה ) [לְזַעֲוָ֔ה ] לְכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ בִּ֠גְלַ֠ל מְנַשֶּׁ֤ה בֶן ־יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה עַ֥ל אֲשֶׁר ־עָשָׂ֖ה בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם ׃
καὶ παραδώσω αὐτοὺς εἰς ἀνάγκας πάσαις ταῖς βασιλείαις τῆς γῆς διὰ Μανασση υἱὸν Εζεκιου βασιλέα Ιουδα περὶ πάντων ὧν ἐποίησεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ
Et dabo eos in fervorem universis regnis terrae , propter Manassen filium Ezechiae regis Juda , super omnibus quae fecit in Jerusalem .
ወእሁቦሙ ፡ ለማሳሌ ፡ ለኵሎሙ ፡ ነገሥተ ፡ ምድር ፡ በእንተ ፡ ምናሴ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሕዝቅያስ ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ በእንተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ በኢየሩሳሌም ።
I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
15:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֠י מִֽי ־יַחְמֹ֤ל עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם וּמִ֖י יָנ֣וּד לָ֑ךְ וּמִ֣י יָס֔וּר לִשְׁאֹ֥ל לְשָׁלֹ֖ם לָֽךְ ׃
τίς φείσεται ἐπὶ σοί Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τίς δειλιάσει ἐπὶ σοί ἢ τίς ἀνακάμψει εἰς εἰρήνην σοι
Quis enim miserebitur tui , Jerusalem , aut quis contristabitur pro te ? aut quis ibit ad rogandum pro pace tua ?
አልቦ ፡ ዘይምህከኪ ፡ ኢይሩሳሌም ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይቴክዝ ፡ በእንቲኣኪ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይስእል ፡ ዳህናኪ ።
For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? Who will mourn you? Who will come to ask of your welfare?
15:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַ֣תְּ נָטַ֥שְׁתְּ אֹתִ֛י נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָ֖ה אָח֣וֹר תֵּלֵ֑כִי וָאַ֨ט אֶת ־יָדִ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ וָֽאַשְׁחִיתֵ֔ךְ נִלְאֵ֖יתִי הִנָּחֵֽם ׃
σὺ ἀπεστράφης με λέγει κύριος ὀπίσω πορεύσῃ καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου καὶ διαφθερῶ σε καὶ οὐκέτι ἀνήσω αὐτούς
Tu reliquisti me , dicit Dominus ; retrorsum abiisti : et extendam manum meam super te , et interficiam te : laboravi rogans .
እስመ ፡ ዐለውክኒ ፡ ድኅሪተ ፡ ተሐውሪ ፡ ወአነሥእ ፡ እዴኪ ፡ ላዕሌኪ ፡ ወአጠፍአኪ ፡ ወኢይሴሕቶሙ ፡ እንከ ፡ ሞት ።
You have rejected me,” says Yahweh. “You have gone backward. Therefore I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you. I am weary of showing compassion.
15:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וָאֶזְרֵ֥ם בְּמִזְרֶ֖ה בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ שִׁכַּ֤לְתִּי אִבַּ֙דְתִּי֙ אֶת ־עַמִּ֔י מִדַּרְכֵיהֶ֖ם לוֹא ־שָֽׁבוּ ׃
καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν διασπορᾷ ἐν πύλαις λαοῦ μου ἠτεκνώθησαν ἀπώλεσαν τὸν λαόν μου διὰ τὰς κακίας αὐτῶν
Et dispergam eos ventilabro in portis terrae : interfeci et disperdidi populum meum , et tamen a viis suis non sunt reversi .
ወእዝርዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አጽናፍ ፡ ለሕዝብየ ፡ ወኮንኩ ፡ ነካነ ፡ ወሀጐልኩ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ እምፍኖቶሙ ።
I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land. I have bereaved them of children. I have destroyed my people. They didn’t return from their ways.
15:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ עָֽצְמוּ ־לִ֤י אַלְמְנוֹתָו֙ מֵח֣וֹל יַמִּ֔ים הֵבֵ֨אתִי לָהֶ֥ם עַל ־אֵ֛ם בָּח֖וּר שֹׁדֵ֣ד בַּֽצׇּהֳרָ֑יִם הִפַּ֤לְתִּי עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ פִּתְאֹ֔ם עִ֖יר וּבֶהָלֽוֹת ׃
ἐπληθύνθησαν χῆραι αὐτῶν ὑπὲρ τὴν ἄμμον τῆς θαλάσσης ἐπήγαγον ἐπὶ μητέρα νεανίσκου ταλαιπωρίαν ἐν μεσημβρίᾳ ἐπέρριψα ἐπ’ αὐτὴν ἐξαίφνης τρόμον καὶ σπουδήν
Multiplicatae sunt mihi viduae ejus super arenam maris : induxi eis super matrem adolescentis vastatorem meridie : misi super civitates repente terrorem .
በዝኀ ፡ እምኆፃ ፡ ባሕር ፡ መበለታቲሆሙ ፡ ወአምጻእኩ ፡ ወራዙተ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ እሞሙ ፡ ወኀሣሮሙ ፡ በጊዜ ፡ መዓልት ፡ ወአውረድኩ ፡ ግብተ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ረዓደ ፡ ወምምዓ ።
Their widows are increased more than the sand of the seas. I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday. I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
15:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֻמְלְלָ֞ה יֹלֶ֣דֶת הַשִּׁבְעָ֗ה נָפְחָ֥ה נַפְשָׁ֛הּ (באה ) [בָּ֥א ] שִׁמְשָׁ֛הּ בְּעֹ֥ד יוֹמָ֖ם בּ֣וֹשָׁה וְחָפֵ֑רָה וּשְׁאֵרִיתָ֗ם לַחֶ֧רֶב אֶתֵּ֛ן לִפְנֵ֥י אֹיְבֵיהֶ֖ם נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {ס}
ἐκενώθη ἡ τίκτουσα ἑπτά ἀπεκάκησεν ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῆς ἐπέδυ ὁ ἥλιος αὐτῇ ἔτι μεσούσης τῆς ἡμέρας κατῃσχύνθη καὶ ὠνειδίσθη τοὺς καταλοίπους αὐτῶν εἰς μάχαιραν δώσω ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν
Infirmata est quae peperit septem ; defecit anima ejus : occidit ei sol cum adhuc esset dies : confusa est , et erubuit : et residuos ejus in gladium dabo in conspectu inimicorum eorum , ait Dominus .
ኀልቀት ፡ እስመ ፡ ሰብአተ ፡ ወለደት ፡ ወተቆጥዓት ፡ ነፍሳ ፡ ወዐረባ ፡ ፀሓይ ፡ ቀትረ ፡ መዓልት ፡ ወአውረድኩ ፡ ግብተ ፡ ላዕሌሃ ፡ ረኣደ ፡ ወምምዓ ፡ ዐርቀት ፡ እንተ ፡ ሰብአተ ፡ ወለደት ፡ ወተኀፍረት ፡ ወኀሥረት ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ተርፉ ፡ እምውስቴቶሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኲናት ፡ አገብኦሙ ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ፀሮሙ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
She who has borne seven languishes. She has given up the spirit. Her sun has gone down while it was yet day. She has been disappointed and confounded. I will deliver their residue to the sword before their enemies,” says Yahweh.
15:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֽוֹי ־לִ֣י אִמִּ֔י כִּ֣י יְלִדְתִּ֗נִי אִ֥ישׁ רִ֛יב וְאִ֥ישׁ מָד֖וֹן לְכׇל ־הָאָ֑רֶץ לֹֽא ־נָשִׁ֥יתִי וְלֹא ־נָֽשׁוּ ־בִ֖י כֻּלֹּ֥ה מְקַֽלְלַֽוְנִי ׃ {ס}
οἴμμοι ἐγώ μῆτερ ὡς τίνα με ἔτεκες ἄνδρα δικαζόμενον καὶ διακρινόμενον πάσῃ τῇ γῇ οὔτε ὠφέλησα οὔτε ὠφέλησέν με οὐδείς ἡ ἰσχύς μου ἐξέλιπεν ἐν τοῖς καταρωμένοις με
Vae mihi , mater mea ! quare genuisti me , virum rixae , virum discordiae in universa terra ? Non foeneravi , nec foeneravit mihi quisquam : omnes maledicunt mihi .
አሌ ፡ ሊተ ፡ እምየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ወለድከኒ ፡ ብእሴ ፡ ዘእሤነን ፡ ወእትዋቀስ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ምድር ፡ ኢበቋዕኩ ፡ ወኢይበቊዐኒ ፡ እስመ ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ይረግሙኒ ።
Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.
15:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה אִם ־לֹ֥א (שרותך ) [שֵׁרִיתִ֖יךָ ] לְט֑וֹב אִם ־ל֣וֹא ׀ הִפְגַּ֣עְתִּֽי בְךָ֗ בְּעֵ֥ת רָעָ֛ה וּבְעֵ֥ת צָרָ֖ה אֶת ־הָאֹיֵֽב ׃
γένοιτο δέσποτα κατευθυνόντων αὐτῶν εἰ μὴ παρέστην σοι ἐν καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεως αὐτῶν εἰς ἀγαθὰ πρὸς τὸν ἐχθρόν
Dicit Dominus : Si non reliquiae tuae in bonum , si non occurri tibi in tempore afflictionis , et in tempore tribulationis adversus inimicum .
ለይኩን ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ለተሰርሖ ፡ ዚኣሆሙ ፡ እመ ፡ ኢቆምኩ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ በመዋዕለ ፡ ምንዳቤሆሙ ፡ ወበጊዜ ፡ ሕማሞሙ ፡ በሠናይ ።
Yahweh said, “Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
15:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ הֲיָרֹ֨עַ בַּרְזֶ֧ל ׀בַּרְזֶ֛ל מִצָּפ֖וֹן וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת ׃
εἰ γνωσθήσεται σίδηρος καὶ περιβόλαιον χαλκοῦν
Numquid foederabitur ferrum ferro ab aquilone , et aes ?
በኀበ ፡ ፀር ፡ ይትዐወቅኑ ፡ ኀፂን ፡ እምሰሜን ፡ ወብርት ፡ እምደቡብ ፡ ኀይለከ ፡ ወመዛግብቲከ ፡ እሁብ ፡ ሊተ ፡ በርብሮ ፡ አኮ ፡ በቤዛ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ኀጢአትከ ፡ ወበኵሉ ፡ ጌጋይከ ፡ ወበኵሉ ፡ በሀውርቲከ ።
Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?
15:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ חֵילְךָ֧ וְאוֹצְרוֹתֶ֛יךָ לָבַ֥ז אֶתֵּ֖ן לֹ֣א בִמְחִ֑יר וּבְכׇל ־חַטֹּאותֶ֖יךָ וּבְכׇל ־גְּבוּלֶֽיךָ ׃
ἡ ἰσχύς σου καὶ τοὺς θησαυρούς σου εἰς προνομὴν δώσω ἀντάλλαγμα διὰ πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας σου καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις σου
Divitias tuas et thesauros tuos in direptionem dabo gratis , in omnibus peccatis tuis , et in omnibus terminis tuis .
ወአቀንየከ ፡ ለፀርከ ፡ ዘዐውድከ ፡ በብሔር ፡ ዘተአምር ፡ እስመእሳት ፡ ትነድድ ፡ እመዓት ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ ወታውዒ ።
I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
15:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהַֽעֲבַרְתִּי֙ אֶת ־אֹ֣יְבֶ֔יךָ בְּאֶ֖רֶץ לֹ֣א יָדָ֑עְתָּ כִּי ־אֵ֛שׁ קָדְחָ֥ה בְאַפִּ֖י עֲלֵיכֶ֥ם תּוּקָֽד ׃ {ס}
καὶ καταδουλώσω σε κύκλῳ τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου ἐν τῇ γῇ ᾗ οὐκ ᾔδεις ὅτι πῦρ ἐκκέκαυται ἐκ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς καυθήσεται
Et adducam inimicos tuos de terra quam nescis , quia ignis succensus est in furore meo : super vos ardebit .
ሀሀሀ ።
I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”
15:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ אַתָּ֧ה יָדַ֣עְתָּ יְהֹוָ֗ה זׇכְרֵ֤נִי וּפׇקְדֵ֙נִי֙ וְהִנָּ֤קֶם לִי֙ מֵרֹ֣דְפַ֔י אַל ־לְאֶ֥רֶךְ אַפְּךָ֖ תִּקָּחֵ֑נִי דַּ֕ע שְׂאֵתִ֥י עָלֶ֖יךָ חֶרְפָּֽה ׃
κύριε μνήσθητί μου καὶ ἐπίσκεψαί με καὶ ἀθῴωσόν με ἀπὸ τῶν καταδιωκόντων με μὴ εἰς μακροθυμίαν γνῶθι ὡς ἔλαβον περὶ σοῦ ὀνειδισμὸν
Tu scis , Domine : recordare mei , et visita me , et tuere me ab his qui persequuntur me . Noli in patientia tua suscipere me : scito quoniam sustinui propter te opprobrium .
አንተ ፡ ተአምር ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ተዘከረኒ ፡ ወአድኅነኒ ፡ እምእለ ፡ ሮዱኒ ፡ ወኢትትዓገሥ ፡ በእንቲኣየ ።
Yahweh, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
15:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ נִמְצְא֤וּ דְבָרֶ֙יךָ֙ וָאֹ֣כְלֵ֔ם וַיְהִ֤י (דבריך ) [דְבָֽרְךָ֙ ] לִ֔י לְשָׂשׂ֖וֹן וּלְשִׂמְחַ֣ת לְבָבִ֑י כִּֽי ־נִקְרָ֤א שִׁמְךָ֙ עָלַ֔י יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י צְבָאֽוֹת ׃ {ס}
ὑπὸ τῶν ἀθετούντων τοὺς λόγους σου συντέλεσον αὐτούς καὶ ἔσται ὁ λόγος σου ἐμοὶ εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ χαρὰν καρδίας μου ὅτι ἐπικέκληται τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπ’ ἐμοί κύριε παντοκράτωρ
Inventi sunt sermones tui , et comedi eos : et factum est mihi verbum tuum in gaudium et in laetitiam cordis mei , quoniam invocatum est nomen tuum super me , Domine Deus exercituum .
ተዘከር ፡ ጽእለትየ ፡ በእንቲኣከ ፡ ለእለ ፡ ዐለዉ ፡ ቃለከ ፡ ወሊተሰ ፡ ይኩን ፡ ነገርከ ፡ ለፍሥሓየ ፡ ወለሐሴተ ፡ ልብየ ፡ እስመ ፡ ተሰምየ ፡ ስምከ ፡ በላዕሌየ ፡ እግዚኦ ፡ ዘኵሎ ፡ ትመልክ ።
Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
15:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ לֹא ־יָשַׁ֥בְתִּי בְסוֹד ־מְשַׂחֲקִ֖ים וָאֶעְלֹ֑ז מִפְּנֵ֤י יָֽדְךָ֙ בָּדָ֣ד יָשַׁ֔בְתִּי כִּי ־זַ֖עַם מִלֵּאתָֽנִי ׃
οὐκ ἐκάθισα ἐν συνεδρίῳ αὐτῶν παιζόντων ἀλλὰ εὐλαβούμην ἀπὸ προσώπου χειρός σου κατὰ μόνας ἐκαθήμην ὅτι πικρίας ἐνεπλήσθην
Non sedi in concilio ludentium , et gloriatus sum a facie manus tuae : solus sedebam , quoniam comminatione replesti me .
ወኢነበርኩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ዐውዶሙ ፡ ለመስተሣልቃን ፡ ዳዕሙ ፡ እፈርህ ፡ እም ፡ ገጸ ፡ እዴከ ፡ ባሕቲየ ፡ እነበብርወጸገብክዎ ፡ ለዕጒሥታር ።
I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.
15:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָ֣מָּה הָיָ֤ה כְאֵבִי֙ נֶ֔צַח וּמַכָּתִ֖י אֲנוּשָׁ֑ה מֵֽאֲנָה֙ הֵרָפֵ֔א הָי֨וֹ תִהְיֶ֥ה לִי֙ כְּמ֣וֹ אַכְזָ֔ב מַ֖יִם לֹ֥א נֶאֱמָֽנוּ ׃ {ס}
ἵνα τί οἱ λυποῦντές με κατισχύουσίν μου ἡ πληγή μου στερεά πόθεν ἰαθήσομαι γινομένη ἐγενήθη μοι ὡς ὕδωρ ψευδὲς οὐκ ἔχον πίστιν
Quare factus est dolor meus perpetuus , et plaga mea desperabilis renuit curari ? facta est mihi quasi mendacium aquarum infidelium .
ለምንት ፡ ይጸንዑ ፡ እለ ፡ ይቴክዙኒ ፡ ወዐብየ ፡ ቊስልየ ፡ ወአልቦ ፡ ዘይፌውሰኒ ፡ ከዊነ ፡ ኮነኒ ፡ ከመ ፡ ማየ ፡ ሐሰት ፡ ዘአልቦ ፡ ሃይማኖት ።
Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?
15:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ לָכֵ֞ן כֹּה ־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה אִם ־תָּשׁ֤וּב וַאֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֙ לְפָנַ֣י תַּעֲמֹ֔ד וְאִם ־תּוֹצִ֥יא יָקָ֛ר מִזּוֹלֵ֖ל כְּפִ֣י תִֽהְיֶ֑ה יָשֻׁ֤בוּ הֵ֙מָּה֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְאַתָּ֖ה לֹא ־תָשׁ֥וּב אֲלֵיהֶֽם ׃
διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψῃς καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω σε καὶ πρὸ προσώπου μου στήσῃ καὶ ἐὰν ἐξαγάγῃς τίμιον ἀπὸ ἀναξίου ὡς στόμα μου ἔσῃ καὶ ἀναστρέψουσιν αὐτοὶ πρὸς σέ καὶ σὺ οὐκ ἀναστρέψεις πρὸς αὐτούς
Propter hoc haec dicit Dominus : Si converteris , convertam te , et ante faciem meam stabis : et si separaveris pretiosum a vili , quasi os meum eris : convertentur ipsi ad te , et tu non converteris ad eos .
በእንተ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለእመ ፡ ጠመየጥከ ፡ እመይጠከ ፡ ወትቀውም ፡ ቅድመ ፡ ገጽየ ፡ ወእመ ፡ አውጻእከ ፡ ክብረ ፡ ሥጋዌ ፡ ትከውን ፡ ከመ ፡ አፉየ ፡ እምልብከ ፡ ወይሠወጡ ፡ እሙንቱ ፡ ኀቤከ ፡ ወአንተሰ ፡ ኢትትመየጦሙ ።
Therefore Yahweh says, “If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.
15:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ וּנְתַתִּ֜יךָ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֗ה לְחוֹמַ֤ת נְחֹ֙שֶׁת֙ בְּצוּרָ֔ה וְנִלְחֲמ֥וּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְלֹא ־י֣וּכְלוּ לָ֑ךְ כִּֽי ־אִתְּךָ֥ אֲנִ֛י לְהוֹשִׁיעֲךָ֥ וּלְהַצִּילֶ֖ךָ נְאֻם ־יְהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ δώσω σε τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ὡς τεῖχος ὀχυρὸν χαλκοῦν καὶ πολεμήσουσιν πρὸς σὲ καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνωνται πρὸς σέ διότι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι τοῦ σῴζειν σε
Et dabo te populo huic in murum aereum fortem : et bellabunt adversum te , et non praevalebunt , quia ego tecum sum ut salvem te , et eruam te , dicit Dominus :
ወእሬስየከ ፡ ለዝ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዐረፍተ ፡ ብርት ፡ ጽኑዕ ፡ ወይፀብዑከ ፡ ወኢይክሉከ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ ሐሎኩ ፡ ምስሌከ ፡ ወአነ ፡ አድኅነከ ፡ እምእደ ፡ እኵያን ፡ ወእባልሀከ ፡ እምዕደ ፡ ዓላውያን ።
I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall. They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you,” says Yahweh.
15:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהִצַּלְתִּ֖יךָ מִיַּ֣ד רָעִ֑ים וּפְדִתִ֖יךָ מִכַּ֥ף עָרִצִֽים ׃ {ס}
καὶ ἐξαιρεῖσθαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς πονηρῶν καὶ λυτρώσομαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς λοιμῶν
et liberabo te de manu pessimorum , et redimam te de manu fortium .
— “I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.”
