16:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיֵּצֵ֨א הַגּוֹרָ֜ל לִבְנֵ֤י יוֹסֵף֙ מִיַּרְדֵּ֣ן יְרִיח֔וֹ לְמֵ֥י יְרִיח֖וֹ מִזְרָ֑חָה הַמִּדְבָּ֗ר עֹלֶ֧ה מִירִיח֛וֹ בָּהָ֖ר בֵּֽית ־אֵֽל ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο τὰ ὅρια υἱῶν Ιωσηφ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ιορδάνου τοῦ κατὰ Ιεριχω ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἀπὸ Ιεριχω εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν τὴν ἔρημον εἰς Βαιθηλ Λουζα
Cecidit quoque sors filiorum Joseph ab Jordane contra Jericho et aquas ejus ab oriente : solitudo quae ascendit de Jericho ad montem Bethel :
ወኮነ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ እምነ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ዘመንገለ ፡ ኢያሪኮ ፡ እምነ ፡ ጽባሒሁ ፡ ወየዐርግ ፡ እምነ ፡ ኢያሪኮ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ አድባር ፡ ዘውስተ ፡ ገዳም ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቴል ፡ ሉዛ ።
The lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.
16:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָצָ֥א מִבֵּֽית ־אֵ֖ל ל֑וּזָה וְעָבַ֛ר אֶל ־גְּב֥וּל הָאַרְכִּ֖י עֲטָרֽוֹת ׃
καὶ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς Βαιθηλ καὶ παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια τοῦ Χαταρωθι
et egreditur de Bethel Luza : transitque terminum Archi , Ataroth :
ወይወፅእ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ቤቴል ፡ ወየኀልፍ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ከሮንቲ ።
It went out from Bethel to Luz, and passed along to the border of the Archites to Ataroth;
16:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָֽרַד ־יָ֜מָּה אֶל ־גְּב֣וּל הַיַּפְלֵטִ֗י עַ֣ד גְּב֧וּל בֵּית ־חוֹרֹ֛ן תַּחְתּ֖וֹן וְעַד ־גָּ֑זֶר וְהָי֥וּ תֹצְאֹתָ֖ו יָֽמָּה ׃
καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Απταλιμ ἕως τῶν ὁρίων Βαιθωρων τὴν κάτω καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν
et descendit ad occidentem juxta terminum Jephleti , usque ad terminos Beth-horon inferioris , et Gazer : finiunturque regiones ejus mari magno :
ወየኀልፍ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ሰብዐቱ ፡ አፍላግ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ለቤቶሮን ፡ ዘታሕትየ ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ሞጻእቶሙ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ባሕር ።
and it went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, to the border of Beth Horon the lower, and on to Gezer; and ended at the sea.
16:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ בְנֵֽי ־יוֹסֵ֖ף מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה וְאֶפְרָֽיִם ׃
καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ Εφραιμ καὶ Μανασση
possederuntque filii Joseph , Manasses et Ephraim .
ወተወርሱ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ ዮሴፍ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ወምናሴ ።
The children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
16:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַיְהִ֛י גְּב֥וּל בְּנֵֽי ־אֶפְרַ֖יִם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם וַיְהִ֞י גְּב֤וּל נַחֲלָתָם֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה עַטְר֣וֹת אַדָּ֔ר עַד ־בֵּ֥ית חוֹרֹ֖ן עֶלְיֽוֹן ׃
καὶ ἐγενήθη ὅρια υἱῶν Εφραιμ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν Αταρωθ καὶ Εροκ ἕως Βαιθωρων τὴν ἄνω καὶ Γαζαρα
Et factus est terminus filiorum Ephraim per cognationes suas : et possessio eorum contra orientem Ataroth Addar usque Beth-horon superiorem .
ወኮነ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ለኤፍሬምኒ ፡ በበ ፡ ሕዘቢሆሙ ፡ ወኮነ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ርስቶሙ ፡ እምነ ፡ ጽባሒሃ ፡ ለአጣሮት ፡ ወኤሮኅ ፡ ወቤቶሮን ፡ እንተ ፡ ላዕሉ ፡ ወጋዛራ ።
This was the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families. The border of their inheritance eastward was Ataroth Addar, to Beth Horon the upper.
16:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָצָ֨א הַגְּב֜וּל הַיָּ֗מָּה הַֽמִּכְמְתָת֙ מִצָּפ֔וֹן וְנָסַ֧ב הַגְּב֛וּל מִזְרָ֖חָה תַּאֲנַ֣ת שִׁלֹ֑ה וְעָבַ֣ר אוֹת֔וֹ מִמִּזְרַ֖ח יָנֽוֹחָה ׃
καὶ διελεύσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν εἰς Ικασμων ἀπὸ βορρᾶ Θερμα περιελεύσεται ἐπὶ ἀνατολὰς εἰς Θηνασα καὶ Σελλησα καὶ παρελεύσεται ἀπ’ ἀνατολῶν εἰς Ιανωκα
Egrediunturque confinia in mare : Machmethath vero aquilonem respicit , et circuit terminos contra orientem in Thanathselo : et pertransit ab oriente Janoë .
ወየኀልፍ ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ባሕር ፡ እምነ ፡ መስዓ ፡ ለቴርማ ፡ ወየኀልፍ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ጽባሕ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ቴናታ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ኤላስ ፡ ወየኅልፍ ፡ እምነ ፡ ጽባሕ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኢያኖከ ።
The border went out westward at Michmethath on the north. The border turned about eastward to Taanath Shiloh, and passed along it on the east of Janoah.
16:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְיָרַ֥ד מִיָּנ֖וֹחָה עֲטָר֣וֹת וְנַעֲרָ֑תָה וּפָגַע֙ בִּֽירִיח֔וֹ וְיָצָ֖א הַיַּרְדֵּֽן ׃
καὶ εἰς Μαχω καὶ Αταρωθ καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν καὶ ἐλεύσεται ἐπὶ Ιεριχω καὶ διεκβαλεῖ ἐπὶ τὸν Ιορδάνην
Descenditque de Janoë in Ataroth et Naaratha : et pervenit in Jericho , egrediturque ad Jordanem .
ወውስተ ፡ መራኮ ፡ ወአጣሮት ፡ ወአዕጻዳቲሆን ፡ ወይበውእ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኢያሪኮ ፡ ወይወፅእ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ።
It went down from Janoah to Ataroth, to Naarah, reached to Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
16:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִתַּפּ֜וּחַ יֵלֵ֨ךְ הַגְּב֥וּל יָ֙מָּה֙ נַ֣חַל קָנָ֔ה וְהָי֥וּ תֹצְאֹתָ֖יו הַיָּ֑מָּה זֹ֗את נַחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי ־אֶפְרַ֖יִם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם ׃
καὶ ἀπὸ Ταφου πορεύσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐπὶ Χελκανα καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ θάλασσαν αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς Εφραιμ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν
De Taphua pertransit contra mare in vallem arundineti , suntque egressus ejus in mare salsissimum . Haec est possessio tribus filiorum Ephraim per familias suas .
ወእምነ ፡ [ጣ ]ፉ ፡ የሐውር ፡ ደወሎሙ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ዲበ ፡ ኬልቃና ፡ ወይከውን ፡ ሞጻእቶሙ ፡ ዲበ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወዝንቱ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ርስቶሙ ፡ ለሕዝበ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ በበ ፡ ሕዘቢሆሙ ።
From Tappuah the border went along westward to the brook of Kanah; and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families;
16:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהֶעָרִ֗ים הַמִּבְדָּלוֹת֙ לִבְנֵ֣י אֶפְרַ֔יִם בְּת֖וֹךְ נַחֲלַ֣ת בְּנֵֽי ־מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה כׇּל ־הֶעָרִ֖ים וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן ׃
καὶ αἱ πόλεις αἱ ἀφορισθεῖσαι τοῖς υἱοῖς Εφραιμ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς κληρονομίας υἱῶν Μανασση πᾶσαι αἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν
Urbesque separatae sunt filiis Ephraim in medio possessionis filiorum Manasse , et villae earum .
ወአህጉርኒ ፡ እለ ፡ ፈለጡ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ በውስተ ፡ ማእከለ ፡ ርስቶሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ መናሴ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ ፡ ወአዕጻዳቲሆሙ ።
together with the cities which were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the middle of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
16:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְלֹ֣א הוֹרִ֔ישׁוּ אֶת ־הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖י הַיּוֹשֵׁ֣ב בְּגָ֑זֶר וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב הַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֜י בְּקֶ֤רֶב אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ עַד ־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה וַיְהִ֖י לְמַס ־עֹבֵֽד ׃ {פ}
καὶ οὐκ ἀπώλεσεν Εφραιμ τὸν Χαναναῖον τὸν κατοικοῦντα ἐν Γαζερ καὶ κατῴκει ὁ Χαναναῖος ἐν τῷ Εφραιμ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης ἕως ἀνέβη Φαραω βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐνέπρησεν αὐτὴν ἐν πυρί καὶ τοὺς Χαναναίους καὶ τοὺς Φερεζαίους καὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν Γαζερ ἐξεκέντησαν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν Φαραω ἐν φερνῇ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ
Et non interfecerunt filii Ephraim Chananaeum , qui habitabat in Gazer : habitavitque Chananaeus in medio Ephraim usque in diem hanc tributarius .
ወኢያጥፍኦሙ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ለከናኔዎን ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ጋዜር ፡ ወነበሩ ፡ ከናኔዎን ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ እስከ ፡ ዮም ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ዐርገ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወነሥኣ ፡ ወአውዐያ ፡ በእሳት ፡ ወለከናኔዎን ፡ ወለፌሬዜዎን ፡ ወለእለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውሰተ ፡ ጋዜር ፡ ወግእዎሙ ፡ ወወሀባ ፡ ፈርዖን ፡ ለወለቱ ፡ ሕፄሃ ፡ ኪያሃ ።
They didn’t drive out the Canaanites who lived in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell in the territory of Ephraim to this day, and have become servants to do forced labor.
