24:1
וַיֶּֽאֱסֹ֧ף יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ אֶת־כׇּל־שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שְׁכֶ֑מָה וַיִּקְרָא֩ לְזִקְנֵ֨י יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּלְרָאשָׁ֗יו וּלְשֹֽׁפְטָיו֙ וּלְשֹׁ֣טְרָ֔יו וַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֖וּ לִפְנֵ֥י הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃
καὶ συνήγαγεν Ἰησοῦς πάσας φυλὰς Ισραηλ εἰς Σηλω καὶ συνεκάλεσεν τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς γραμματεῖς αὐτῶν καὶ τοὺς δικαστὰς αὐτῶν καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτοὺς ἀπέναντι τοῦ θεοῦ
Congregavitque Josue omnes tribus Israël in Sichem, et vocavit majores natu, ac principes, et judices, et magistros : steteruntque in conspectu Domini,
ወአስተጋብኦሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሴሎም ፡ ወጸውዖሙ ፡ ለሊቃናተ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ወለመላእክቲሆሙ ፡ ወለጸሐፍቶሙ ፡ ወአቀሞሙ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, for their heads, for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.
24:2
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־כׇּל־הָעָ֗ם כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָה֮ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֗ר יָשְׁב֤וּ אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ מֵֽעוֹלָ֔ם תֶּ֛רַח אֲבִ֥י אַבְרָהָ֖ם וַאֲבִ֣י נָח֑וֹר וַיַּעַבְד֖וּ אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαόν τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ κατῴκησαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν τὸ ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς Θαρα ὁ πατὴρ Αβρααμ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ Ναχωρ καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν θεοῖς ἑτέροις
et ad populum sic locutus est : Haec dicit Dominus Deus Israël : Trans fluvium habitaverunt patres vestri ab initio, Thare pater Abraham et Nachor : servieruntque diis alienis.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ከመዝ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ነበሩ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ ቀደምት ፡ ታራ ፡ አቡሁ ፡ ለአብርሃም ፡ ወአቡሁ ፡ ለናኮር ፡ ወአምለኩ ፡ ባዕደ ፡ አማልክተ ።
Joshua said to all the people, “Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘Your fathers lived of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor. They served other gods.
24:3
וָ֠אֶקַּ֠ח אֶת־אֲבִיכֶ֤ם אֶת־אַבְרָהָם֙ מֵעֵ֣בֶר הַנָּהָ֔ר וָֽאוֹלֵ֥ךְ אֹת֖וֹ בְּכׇל־אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן (וארב) [וָֽאַרְבֶּה֙] אֶת־זַרְע֔וֹ וָאֶתֶּן־ל֖וֹ אֶת־יִצְחָֽק׃
καὶ ἔλαβον τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν τὸν Αβρααμ ἐκ τοῦ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ὡδήγησα αὐτὸν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ καὶ ἐπλήθυνα αὐτοῦ σπέρμα καὶ ἔδωκα αὐτῷ τὸν Ισαακ
Tuli ergo patrem vestrum Abraham de Mesopotamiae finibus, et adduxi eum in terram Chanaan, multiplicavique semen ejus,
ወነሣእክዎ ፡ ለአቡክሙ ፡ ለአብርሃም ፡ እምነ ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ወወሰድክዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ምድረ ፡ ከናአን ፡ ወአስተባዛኅኩ ፡ ዘርኦ ።
I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his offspring, and gave him Isaac.
24:4
וָאֶתֵּ֣ן לְיִצְחָ֔ק אֶֽת־יַעֲקֹ֖ב וְאֶת־עֵשָׂ֑ו וָֽאֶתֵּ֨ן לְעֵשָׂ֜ו אֶת־הַ֤ר שֵׂעִיר֙ לָרֶ֣שֶׁת אוֹת֔וֹ וְיַעֲקֹ֥ב וּבָנָ֖יו יָרְד֥וּ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ τῷ Ισαακ τὸν Ιακωβ καὶ τὸν Ησαυ καὶ ἔδωκα τῷ Ησαυ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σηιρ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτῷ καὶ Ιακωβ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ κατέβησαν εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐγένοντο ἐκεῖ εἰς ἔθνος μέγα καὶ πολὺ καὶ κραταιόν
et dedi ei Isaac : illique rursum dedi Jacob et Esau. E quibus, Esau dedi montem Seir ad possidendum : Jacob vero et filii ejus descenderunt in Aegyptum.
ወወሀብክዎ ፡ ይስሐቅሃ ፡ ወለይስሐቅ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ ወዔሳው ፡ ወወሀብክዎ ፡ ለዔሳው ፡ ደብረ ፡ ሴይር ፡ አውረስክዎ ፡ ወያዕቆብሰ ፡ ወደቂቁ ፡ ወረዱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወኮኑ ፡ በህየ ፡ ሕዝበ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወበዝኁ ፡ ወጸንዑ ፡ ወሣቀይዎሙ ፡ ግብጽ ።
I gave to Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave to Esau Mount Seir, to possess it. Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.
24:5
וָאֶשְׁלַ֞ח אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֤ה וְאֶֽת־אַהֲרֹן֙ וָאֶגֹּ֣ף אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי בְּקִרְבּ֑וֹ וְאַחַ֖ר הוֹצֵ֥אתִי אֶתְכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἐκάκωσαν αὐτοὺς οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι καὶ ἐπάταξεν κύριος τὴν Αἴγυπτον ἐν οἷς ἐποίησεν αὐτοῖς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἐξήγαγεν ὑμᾶς
Misique Moysen et Aaron, et percussi Aegyptum multis signis atque portentis.
ወቀተልክዎሙ ፡ ለግብጽ ፡ በበይነ ፡ ዘገብሩ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
“‘I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out.
24:6
וָאוֹצִ֤יא אֶת־אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם וַתָּבֹ֖אוּ הַיָּ֑מָּה וַיִּרְדְּפ֨וּ מִצְרַ֜יִם אַחֲרֵ֧י אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֛ם בְּרֶ֥כֶב וּבְפָרָשִׁ֖ים יַם־סֽוּף׃
ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ εἰσήλθατε εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ἐρυθράν καὶ κατεδίωξαν οἱ Αἰγύπτιοι ὀπίσω τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν ἐν ἅρμασιν καὶ ἐν ἵπποις εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ἐρυθράν
Eduxique vos et patres vestros de Aegypto, et venistis ad mare : persecutique sunt Aegyptii patres vestros cum curribus et equitatu, usque ad mare Rubrum.
ወእምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ አውፅአክሙ ፡ ወአውፅኦሙ ፡ ለአበዊክሙ ፡ ወቦእክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወዴገኑክሙ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወተለውክሙ ፡ ድኅሬሆሙ ፡ ለአበዊክሙ ፡ በአፍራስ ፡ ወበሰረገላት ፡ ውስተ ፡ ባሕረ ፡ [ኤ]ርትራ ።
I brought your fathers out of Egypt: and you came to the sea. The Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and with horsemen to the Red Sea.
24:7
וַיִּצְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְהֹוָ֗ה וַיָּ֨שֶׂם מַאֲפֵ֜ל בֵּינֵיכֶ֣ם׀ וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּצְרִ֗ים וַיָּבֵ֨א עָלָ֤יו אֶת־הַיָּם֙ וַיְכַסֵּ֔הוּ וַתִּרְאֶ֙ינָה֙ עֵינֵיכֶ֔ם אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֖יתִי בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם וַתֵּשְׁב֥וּ בַמִּדְבָּ֖ר יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃
καὶ ἀνεβοήσαμεν πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἔδωκεν νεφέλην καὶ γνόφον ἀνὰ μέσον ἡμῶν καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν Αἰγυπτίων καὶ ἐπήγαγεν ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ ἐκάλυψεν αὐτούς καὶ εἴδοσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ ἦτε ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ἡμέρας πλείους
Clamaverunt autem ad Dominum filii Israël : qui posuit tenebras inter vos et Aegyptios, et adduxit super eos mare, et operuit eos. Viderunt oculi vestri cuncta quae in Aegypto fecerim, et habitastis in solitudine multo tempore :
ወጸራኅነ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወፈነወ ፡ ደመና ፡ ወቆባ[ረ] ፡ ማእከሌነ ፡ ወማእከለ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወአስተጋብአ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ ባሕረ ፡ ወደፈኖሙ ፡ ወርእያ ፡ አዕይንቲክሙ ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ በምድረ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወነበርክሙ ፡ ብዙኀ ፡ መዋዕለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገዳም ።
When they cried out to Yahweh, he put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea on them, and covered them; and your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. You lived in the wilderness many days.
24:8
(ואבאה) [וָאָבִ֣יא] אֶתְכֶ֗ם אֶל־אֶ֤רֶץ הָאֱמֹרִי֙ הַיּוֹשֵׁב֙ בְּעֵ֣בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן וַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּ אִתְּכֶ֑ם וָאֶתֵּ֨ן אוֹתָ֤ם בְּיֶדְכֶם֙ וַתִּירְשׁ֣וּ אֶת־אַרְצָ֔ם וָאַשְׁמִידֵ֖ם מִפְּנֵיכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἤγαγεν ὑμᾶς εἰς γῆν Αμορραίων τῶν κατοικούντων πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ παρετάξαντο ὑμῖν καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ὑμῶν καὶ κατεκληρονομήσατε τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξωλεθρεύσατε αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν
et introduxi vos in terram Amorrhaei, qui habitabat trans Jordanem. Cumque pugnarent contra vos, tradidi eos in manus vestras, et possedistis terram eorum, atque interfecistis eos.
ወወሰደክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ወተቃተሎሙ ፡ ሙሴ ፡ ወአግብኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴነ ፡ ወተወረስክሙ ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ ወአጥፋእክምዎሙ ፡ እምቅድሜክሙ ።
“‘I brought you into the land of the Amorites, that lived beyond the Jordan. They fought with you, and I gave them into your hand. You possessed their land, and I destroyed them from before you.
24:9
וַיָּ֨קׇם בָּלָ֤ק בֶּן־צִפּוֹר֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֔ב וַיִּלָּ֖חֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח וַיִּקְרָ֛א לְבִלְעָ֥ם בֶּן־בְּע֖וֹר לְקַלֵּ֥ל אֶתְכֶֽם׃
καὶ ἀνέστη Βαλακ ὁ τοῦ Σεπφωρ βασιλεὺς Μωαβ καὶ παρετάξατο τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἀποστείλας ἐκάλεσεν τὸν Βαλααμ ἀράσασθαι ὑμῖν
Surrexit autem Balac filius Sephor rex Moab, et pugnavit contra Israëlem. Misitque et vocavit Balaam filium Beor, ut malediceret vobis :
ወተንሥአ ፡ በላቅ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ሴፎር ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ሞአብ ፡ ወተቃተሎሙ ፡ ለእስራኤል ፡ ወለአከ ፡ ወጸውዖ ፡ ለበላዓም ፡ ወልደ ፡ ቤዖር ፡ ከመ ፡ ይርግመነ ።
Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and fought against Israel. He sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you,
24:10
וְלֹ֥א אָבִ֖יתִי לִשְׁמֹ֣עַ לְבִלְעָ֑ם וַיְבָ֤רֶךְ בָּרוֹךְ֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם וָאַצִּ֥ל אֶתְכֶ֖ם מִיָּדֽוֹ׃
καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἀπολέσαι σε καὶ εὐλογίαν εὐλόγησεν ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξείλατο ὑμᾶς ἐκ χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτούς
et ego nolui audire eum, sed e contrario per illum benedixi vobis, et liberavi vos de manu ejus.
ወኢፈቀደ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክከ ፡ ያጥፍእከ ፡ ወበረከተ ፡ ባረከነ ፡ ወአድኀነነ ፡ እምነ ፡ እዴሆሙ ፡ ወአግብኦሙ ፡ ለነ ።
but I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still. So I delivered you out of his hand.
24:11
וַתַּעַבְר֣וּ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן֮ וַתָּבֹ֣אוּ אֶל־יְרִיחוֹ֒ וַיִּלָּחֲמ֣וּ בָכֶ֣ם בַּעֲלֵֽי־יְ֠רִיח֠וֹ הָאֱמֹרִ֨י וְהַפְּרִזִּ֜י וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֗י וְהַֽחִתִּי֙ וְהַגִּרְגָּשִׁ֔י הַחִוִּ֖י וְהַיְבוּסִ֑י וָאֶתֵּ֥ן אוֹתָ֖ם בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃
καὶ διέβητε τὸν Ιορδάνην καὶ παρεγενήθητε εἰς Ιεριχω καὶ ἐπολέμησαν πρὸς ὑμᾶς οἱ κατοικοῦντες Ιεριχω ὁ Αμορραῖος καὶ ὁ Χαναναῖος καὶ ὁ Φερεζαῖος καὶ ὁ Ευαῖος καὶ ὁ Ιεβουσαῖος καὶ ὁ Χετταῖος καὶ ὁ Γεργεσαῖος καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ὑμῶν
Transistisque Jordanem, et venistis ad Jericho. Pugnaveruntque contra vos viri civitatis ejus, Amorrhaeus et Pherezaeus, et Chananaeus, et Hethaeus, et Gergezaeus, et Hevaeus, et Jebusaeus : et tradidi illos in manus vestras.
ወዐደውክሙ ፡ ዮርዳንስ ፡ ወበጻሕክሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኢያሪከ ፡ ወተቃተሉነ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ኢያሪኮ ፡ ወአሞሬዎን ፡ ወከናኔዎን ፡ ወፌሬዜዎን ፡ ወኤዌዎን ፡ ወኢያቡሴዎን ፡ ወኬጤዎን ፡ ወጌርጌሴዎን ፡ ወአግብኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እዴነ ።
“‘You went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho. The men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand.
24:12
וָאֶשְׁלַ֤ח לִפְנֵיכֶם֙ אֶת־הַצִּרְעָ֔ה וַתְּגָ֤רֶשׁ אוֹתָם֙ מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם שְׁנֵ֖י מַלְכֵ֣י הָאֱמֹרִ֑י לֹ֥א בְחַרְבְּךָ֖ וְלֹ֥א בְקַשְׁתֶּֽךָ׃
καὶ ἐξαπέστειλεν προτέραν ὑμῶν τὴν σφηκιάν καὶ ἐξέβαλεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν δώδεκα βασιλεῖς τῶν Αμορραίων οὐκ ἐν τῇ ῥομφαίᾳ σου οὐδὲ ἐν τῷ τόξῳ σου
Misique ante vos crabrones : et ejeci eos de locis suis, duos reges Amorrhaeorum, non in gladio nec in arcu tuo.
ወፈነወ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ፡ እምቅድሜነ ፡ ዐኮተ ፡ ወአስዐሮሙ ፡ እምቅድሜነ ፡ ለዐሠርቱ ፡ ወክልኤቱ ፡ ነገሥት ፡ ዘአሞሬዎን ፡ አኮ ፡ በሰይፍከ ፡ ወአኮ ፡ በቀስትከ ።
I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow.
24:13
וָאֶתֵּ֨ן לָכֶ֜ם אֶ֣רֶץ׀ אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹֽא־יָגַ֣עְתָּ בָּ֗הּ וְעָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־בְנִיתֶ֔ם וַתֵּשְׁב֖וּ בָּהֶ֑ם כְּרָמִ֤ים וְזֵיתִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־נְטַעְתֶּ֔ם אַתֶּ֖ם אֹכְלִֽים׃
καὶ ἔδωκεν ὑμῖν γῆν ἐφ’ ἣν οὐκ ἐκοπιάσατε ἐπ’ αὐτῆς καὶ πόλεις ἃς οὐκ ᾠκοδομήσατε καὶ κατῳκίσθητε ἐν αὐταῖς καὶ ἀμπελῶνας καὶ ἐλαιῶνας οὓς οὐκ ἐφυτεύσατε ὑμεῖς ἔδεσθε
Dedique vobis terram, in qua non laborastis, et urbes quas non aedificastis, ut habitaretis in eis : vineas, et oliveta, quae non plantastis.
ወወሀበክሙ ፡ ምድረ ፡ እንተ ፡ ኢጻመውክሙ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ወአህጉረ ፡ እለ ፡ ኢነደቅሙ ፡ ነበርክሙ ፡ ውስቴቶን ፡ ወአዕጻደ ፡ ወይን ፡ ወዘይት ፡ ዘኢተከልክሙ ፡ ትበልዑ ፡ አንትሙ ።
I gave you a land on which you had not labored, and cities which you didn’t build, and you live in them. You eat of vineyards and olive groves which you didn’t plant.’
24:14
וְעַתָּ֞ה יְר֧אוּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֛ה וְעִבְד֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּתָמִ֣ים וּבֶאֱמֶ֑ת וְהָסִ֣ירוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֲשֶׁר֩ עָבְד֨וּ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֜ם בְּעֵ֤בֶר הַנָּהָר֙ וּבְמִצְרַ֔יִם וְעִבְד֖וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃
καὶ νῦν φοβήθητε κύριον καὶ λατρεύσατε αὐτῷ ἐν εὐθύτητι καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ περιέλεσθε τοὺς θεοὺς τοὺς ἀλλοτρίους οἷς ἐλάτρευσαν οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ λατρεύετε κυρίῳ
Nunc ergo timete Dominum, et servite ei perfecto corde atque verissimo : et auferte deos quibus servierunt patres vestri in Mesopotamia et in Aegypto, ac servite Domino.
ወይእዜኒ ፡ ፍርህዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአምልክዎ ፡ በጽድቅ ፡ ወበርትዕ ፡ ወአሰስሉ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ዘአምለኩ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ በማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ወበግብጽ ፡ ወአምልክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
“Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, in Egypt; and serve Yahweh.
24:15
וְאִם֩ רַ֨ע בְּֽעֵינֵיכֶ֜ם לַעֲבֹ֣ד אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה בַּחֲר֨וּ לָכֶ֣ם הַיּוֹם֮ אֶת־מִ֣י תַעֲבֹדוּן֒ אִ֣ם אֶת־אֱלֹהִ֞ים אֲשֶׁר־עָבְד֣וּ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁר֙ (בעבר) [מֵעֵ֣בֶר] הַנָּהָ֔ר וְאִם֙ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֣י הָאֱמֹרִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם יֹשְׁבִ֣ים בְּאַרְצָ֑ם וְאָנֹכִ֣י וּבֵיתִ֔י נַעֲבֹ֖ד אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
εἰ δὲ μὴ ἀρέσκει ὑμῖν λατρεύειν κυρίῳ ἕλεσθε ὑμῖν ἑαυτοῖς σήμερον τίνι λατρεύσητε εἴτε τοῖς θεοῖς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν τοῖς ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ εἴτε τοῖς θεοῖς τῶν Αμορραίων ἐν οἷς ὑμεῖς κατοικεῖτε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς αὐτῶν ἐγὼ δὲ καὶ ἡ οἰκία μου λατρεύσομεν κυρίῳ ὅτι ἅγιός ἐστιν
Sin autem malum vobis videtur ut Domino serviatis, optio vobis datur : eligite hodie quod placet, cui servire potissimum debeatis : utrum diis, quibus servierunt patres vestri in Mesopotamia, an diis Amorrhaeorum, in quorum terra habitatis : ego autem et domus mea serviemus Domino.
ወእመሰ ፡ ኢፈቀድክሙ ፡ ታምልክዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኅረዩ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ መነ ፡ ታመልኩ ፡ እመ ፡ አኮ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ አበዊክሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ማዕዶተ ፡ ፈለግ ፡ ወእማእኮ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ እለ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድሮሙ ፡ ሀሎክሙ ፡ ወአንሰ ፡ ወቤትየ ፡ እግዚአብሔርሃ ፡ ናመልክ ፡ እስመ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ውእቱ ።
If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.”
24:16
וַיַּ֤עַן הָעָם֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר חָלִ֣ילָה לָּ֔נוּ מֵעֲזֹ֖ב אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה לַעֲבֹ֖ד אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִֽים׃
καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ λαὸς εἶπεν μὴ γένοιτο ἡμῖν καταλιπεῖν κύριον ὥστε λατρεύειν θεοῖς ἑτέροις
Responditque populus, et ait : Absit a nobis ut relinquamus Dominum, et serviamus diis alienis.
ወአውሥኡ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ ሐሰ ፡ ለነ ፡ እስከ ፡ ነኀድጎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወናመልክ ፡ ባዕደ ፡ አማልክተ ።
The people answered, “Far be it from us that we should forsake Yahweh, to serve other gods;
24:17
כִּ֚י יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ הוּא֩ הַמַּעֲלֶ֨ה אֹתָ֧נוּ וְאֶת־אֲבוֹתֵ֛ינוּ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֑ים וַאֲשֶׁ֧ר עָשָׂ֣ה לְעֵינֵ֗ינוּ אֶת־הָאֹת֤וֹת הַגְּדֹלוֹת֙ הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַֽיִּשְׁמְרֵ֗נוּ בְּכׇל־הַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָלַ֣כְנוּ בָ֔הּ וּבְכֹל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָבַ֖רְנוּ בְּקִרְבָּֽם׃
κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν αὐτὸς θεός ἐστιν αὐτὸς ἀνήγαγεν ἡμᾶς καὶ τοὺς πατέρας ἡμῶν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ διεφύλαξεν ἡμᾶς ἐν πάσῃ τῇ ὁδῷ ᾗ ἐπορεύθημεν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὓς παρήλθομεν δῑ αὐτῶν
Dominus Deus noster, ipse eduxit nos et patres nostros de terra Aegypti, de domo servitutis : fecitque videntibus nobis signa ingentia, et custodivit nos in omni via per quam ambulavimus, et in cunctis populis per quos transivimus.
ለነሰ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክ ፡ ወውእቱ ፡ አውፅአነ ፡ ለነ ፡ ወለአበዊነ ፡ እምነ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ እምነ ፡ ቤተ ፡ ቅኔት ፡ ወኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ለነ ፡ ተአምረ ፡ ዐበይተ ፡ ወዐቀበነ ፡ በኵሉ ፡ ፍኖት ፡ እንተ ፡ ባቲ ፡ ሖርነ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ኀለፍነ ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
for it is Yahweh our God who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed.
24:18
וַיְגָ֨רֶשׁ יְהֹוָ֜ה אֶת־כׇּל־הָעַמִּ֗ים וְאֶת־הָאֱמֹרִ֛י יֹשֵׁ֥ב הָאָ֖רֶץ מִפָּנֵ֑ינוּ גַּם־אֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ נַעֲבֹ֣ד אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּי־ה֖וּא אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
καὶ ἐξέβαλεν κύριος τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ κατοικοῦντα τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ προσώπου ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ καὶ ἡμεῖς λατρεύσομεν κυρίῳ οὗτος γὰρ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐστιν
Et ejecit universas gentes, Amorrhaeum habitatorem terrae quam nos intravimus. Serviemus igitur Domino, quia ipse est Deus noster.
ወአውፅኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ለአሞሬዎን ፡ ወለኵሉ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድር ፡ እምቅድሜነ ፡ ወከማሁ ፡ ንሕነሂ ፡ ናመልኮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ አምላክነ ።
Yahweh drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites who lived in the land. Therefore we also will serve Yahweh; for he is our God.”
24:19
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־הָעָ֗ם לֹ֤א תֽוּכְלוּ֙ לַעֲבֹ֣ד אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים קְדֹשִׁ֖ים ה֑וּא אֵל־קַנּ֣וֹא ה֔וּא לֹא־יִשָּׂ֥א לְפִשְׁעֲכֶ֖ם וּלְחַטֹּאותֵיכֶֽם׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς πρὸς τὸν λαόν οὐ μὴ δύνησθε λατρεύειν κυρίῳ ὅτι θεὸς ἅγιός ἐστιν καὶ ζηλώσας οὗτος οὐκ ἀνήσει ὑμῶν τὰ ἁμαρτήματα καὶ τὰ ἀνομήματα ὑμῶν
Dixitque Josue ad populum : Non poteritis servire Domino : Deus enim sanctus et fortis aemulator est, nec ignoscet sceleribus vestris atque peccatis.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ኢትክሉ ፡ አምልኮቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ እስመ ፡ ቅዱስ ፡ ውእቱ ፡ ወእምከመ ፡ አቅናእክምዎ ፡ ኢየኀድግ ፡ ለክሙ ፡ ኀጣይኢክሙ ፡ ወአበሳክሙ ።
Joshua said to the people, “You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.
24:20
כִּ֤י תַֽעַזְבוּ֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה וַעֲבַדְתֶּ֖ם אֱלֹהֵ֣י נֵכָ֑ר וְשָׁ֨ב וְהֵרַ֤ע לָכֶם֙ וְכִלָּ֣ה אֶתְכֶ֔ם אַחֲרֵ֖י אֲשֶׁר־הֵיטִ֥יב לָכֶֽם׃
ἡνίκα ἐὰν ἐγκαταλίπητε κύριον καὶ λατρεύσητε θεοῖς ἑτέροις καὶ ἐπελθὼν κακώσει ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξαναλώσει ὑμᾶς ἀνθ’ ὧν εὖ ἐποίησεν ὑμᾶς
Si dimiseritis Dominum, et servieritis diis alienis, convertet se, et affliget vos atque subvertet, postquam vobis praestiterit bona.
እምከመ ፡ ኀደግምዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወአምለክሙ ፡ ባዕደ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ወየሐውር ፡ ወይሣቅየክሙ ፡ ወያጠፍአክሙ ፡ ህየንተ ፡ ዘአሠነየ ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ።
If you forsake Yahweh, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you evil, and consume you, after he has done you good.”
24:21
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הָעָ֖ם אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ לֹ֕א כִּ֥י אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה נַעֲבֹֽד׃
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Ἰησοῦν οὐχί ἀλλὰ κυρίῳ λατρεύσομεν
Dixitque populus ad Josue : Nequaquam ita ut loqueris erit, sed Domino serviemus.
ወይቤልዎ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ዳእሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ናመልክ ።
The people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve Yahweh.”
24:22
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־הָעָ֗ם עֵדִ֤ים אַתֶּם֙ בָּכֶ֔ם כִּי־אַתֶּ֞ם בְּחַרְתֶּ֥ם לָכֶ֛ם אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה לַעֲבֹ֣ד אוֹת֑וֹ וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ עֵדִֽים׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς πρὸς τὸν λαόν μάρτυρες ὑμεῖς καθ’ ὑμῶν ὅτι ὑμεῖς ἐξελέξασθε κύριον λατρεύειν αὐτῷ
Et Josue ad populum : Testes, inquit, vos estis, quia ipsi elegeritis vobis Dominum ut serviatis ei. Responderuntque : Testes.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ [ኢየሱስ ፡] ለሕዝብ ፡ ለሊክሙ ፡ ስምዕ ፡ ላዕለ ፡ ርእስክሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ለሊክሙ ፡ ኀሬክምዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ታምልክዎ ፡ ወይቤሉ ፡ ሰማዕነ ።
Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Yahweh yourselves, to serve him.” They said, “We are witnesses.”
24:23
וְעַתָּ֕ה הָסִ֛ירוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֥י הַנֵּכָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וְהַטּוּ֙ אֶת־לְבַבְכֶ֔ם אֶל־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ νῦν περιέλεσθε τοὺς θεοὺς τοὺς ἀλλοτρίους τοὺς ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ εὐθύνατε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν πρὸς κύριον θεὸν Ισραηλ
Nunc ergo, ait, auferte deos alienos de medio vestri, et inclinate corda vestra ad Dominum Deum Israël.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ይእዜኒ ፡ አሰስሉ ፡ አማልክተ ፡ ነኪር ፡ ዘኀቤክሙ ፡ ወአርትዑ ፡ ልበክሙ ፡ ኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
“Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”
24:24
וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ הָעָ֖ם אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ נַעֲבֹ֔ד וּבְקוֹל֖וֹ נִשְׁמָֽע׃
καὶ εἶπεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Ἰησοῦν κυρίῳ λατρεύσομεν καὶ τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκουσόμεθα
Dixitque populus ad Josue : Domino Deo nostro serviemus, et obedientes erimus praeceptis ejus.
ወይቤልዎ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክነ ፡ ናመልክ ፡ ወቃለ ፡ ዚአሁ ፡ ንሰምዕ ።
The people said to Joshua, “We will serve Yahweh our God, and we will listen to his voice.”
24:25
וַיִּכְרֹ֨ת יְהוֹשֻׁ֧עַ בְּרִ֛ית לָעָ֖ם בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וַיָּ֥שֶׂם ל֛וֹ חֹ֥ק וּמִשְׁפָּ֖ט בִּשְׁכֶֽם׃
καὶ διέθετο Ἰησοῦς διαθήκην πρὸς τὸν λαὸν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ νόμον καὶ κρίσιν ἐν Σηλω ἐνώπιον τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ θεοῦ Ισραηλ
Percussit ergo Josue in die illo foedus, et proposuit populo praecepta atque judicia in Sichem.
ወተካየዶሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ በይእቲ ፡ ዕለት ፡ ወወሀቦሙ ፡ ሕገ ፡ ወፍትሐ ፡ በሴሎም ፡ በቅድመ ፡ ደብተራሁ ፡ ለአምላከ ፡ እስራኤል ።
So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
24:26
וַיִּכְתֹּ֤ב יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה בְּסֵ֖פֶר תּוֹרַ֣ת אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיִּקַּח֙ אֶ֣בֶן גְּדוֹלָ֔ה וַיְקִימֶ֣הָ שָּׁ֔ם תַּ֚חַת הָֽאַלָּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר בְּמִקְדַּ֥שׁ יְהֹוָֽה׃ {פ}
καὶ ἔγραψεν τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα εἰς βιβλίον νόμον τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν λίθον μέγαν καὶ ἔστησεν αὐτὸν Ἰησοῦς ὑπὸ τὴν τερέμινθον ἀπέναντι κυρίου
Scripsit quoque omnia verba haec in volumine legis Domini : et tulit lapidem pergrandem, posuitque eum subter quercum, quae erat in sanctuario Domini :
ወጸሐፎ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለዝንቱ ፡ ነገር ፡ ውስተ ፡ መጽሐፈ ፡ ሕጉ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወነሥአ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ እብነ ፡ ዐቢየ ፡ ወአቀማ ፡ መትሕተ ፡ ዕፀ ፡ ጤሬብንቶስ ፡ ቅድመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ።
Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of Yahweh.
24:27
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ אֶל־כׇּל־הָעָ֗ם הִנֵּ֨ה הָאֶ֤בֶן הַזֹּאת֙ תִּֽהְיֶה־בָּ֣נוּ לְעֵדָ֔ה כִּי־הִ֣יא שָֽׁמְעָ֗ה אֵ֚ת כׇּל־אִמְרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֖ר עִמָּ֑נוּ וְהָיְתָ֤ה בָכֶם֙ לְעֵדָ֔ה פֶּֽן־תְּכַחֲשׁ֖וּן בֵּאלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς πρὸς τὸν λαόν ἰδοὺ ὁ λίθος οὗτος ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν εἰς μαρτύριον ὅτι αὐτὸς ἀκήκοεν πάντα τὰ λεχθέντα αὐτῷ ὑπὸ κυρίου ὅ τι ἐλάλησεν πρὸς ἡμᾶς σήμερον καὶ ἔσται οὗτος ἐν ὑμῖν εἰς μαρτύριον ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ἡνίκα ἐὰν ψεύσησθε κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ μου
et dixit ad omnem populum : En lapis iste erit vobis in testimonium, quod audierit omnia verba Domini, quae locutus est vobis : ne forte postea negare velitis, et mentiri Domino Deo vestro.
ወይቤሎሙ ፡ ለኵሉ ፡ ሕዝብ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ናሁ ፡ ዛቲ ፡ እብን ፡ ስምዕ ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ሰማዕተ ፡ ኵሉ ፡ ዘተብህለ ፡ በኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዘከመ ፡ ተናገ[ረ]ክሙ ፡ ዮም ፡ ወትኩንክሙ ፡ ይእቲ ፡ ስም[ዐ] ፡ ላዕሌክሙ ፡ በደኃሪ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ለእመ ፡ ሐሰውክምዎ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላክየ ።
Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, for it has heard all Yahweh’s words which he spoke to us. It shall be therefore a witness against you, lest you deny your God.”
24:28
וַיְשַׁלַּ֤ח יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ אֶת־הָעָ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ לְנַחֲלָתֽוֹ׃ {פ}
καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ἰησοῦς τὸν λαόν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ
Dimisitque populum, singulos in possessionem suam.
ወፈነዎሙ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ለሕዝብ ፡ ወአተው ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ በሓውርቲሆሙ ።
So Joshua sent the people away, each to his own inheritance.
24:29
וַיְהִ֗י אַֽחֲרֵי֙ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיָּ֛מׇת יְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן עֶ֣בֶד יְהֹוָ֑ה בֶּן־מֵאָ֥ה וָעֶ֖שֶׂר שָׁנִֽים׃
καὶ ἐλάτρευσεν Ισραηλ τῷ κυρίῳ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας Ἰησοῦ καὶ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῶν πρεσβυτέρων ὅσοι ἐφείλκυσαν τὸν χρόνον μετὰ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ὅσοι εἴδοσαν πάντα τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ὅσα ἐποίησεν τῷ Ισραηλ
Et post haec mortuus est Josue filius Nun servus Domini, centum et decem annorum :
ወአምለክዎ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ በኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሁ ፡ ለኢየሱስ ፡ ወበኵሉ ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ ለሊቃናት ፡ እለ ፡ አንኁ ፡ መዋዕሊሆሙ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ወኵሎሙ ፡ እለ ፡ ርእዩ ፡ ግብሮ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ኵሎ ፡ ዘገብረ ፡ ለእስራኤል ።
After these things, Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, being one hundred ten years old.
24:30
וַיִּקְבְּר֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ בִּגְב֣וּל נַחֲלָת֔וֹ בְּתִמְנַת־סֶ֖רַח אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּהַר־אֶפְרָ֑יִם מִצְּפ֖וֹן לְהַר־גָּֽעַשׁ׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μετ’ ἐκεῖνα καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἰησοῦς υἱὸς Ναυη δοῦλος κυρίου ἑκατὸν δέκα ἐτῶν
sepelieruntque eum in finibus possessionis suae in Thamnathsare, quae est sita in monte Ephraim, a septentrionali parte montis Gaas.
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ወሞተ ፡ ኢየሱስ ፡ ወልደ ፡ ነዌ ፡ ገብረ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወምእት ፡ ወዐሠርቱ ፡ ዓመቲሁ ።
They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.
24:31
וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ד יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֔ה כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ וְכֹ֣ל׀ יְמֵ֣י הַזְּקֵנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶאֱרִ֤יכוּ יָמִים֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר יָדְע֗וּ אֵ֚ת כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
καὶ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν πρὸς τοῖς ὁρίοις τοῦ κλήρου αὐτοῦ ἐν Θαμναθασαχαρα ἐν τῷ ὄρει τῷ Εφραιμ ἀπὸ βορρᾶ τοῦ ὄρους Γαας ἐκεῖ ἔθηκαν μετ’ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ μνῆμα εἰς ὃ ἔθαψαν αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ τὰς μαχαίρας τὰς πετρίνας ἐν αἷς περιέτεμεν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐν Γαλγαλοις ὅτε ἐξήγαγεν αὐτοὺς ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καθὰ συνέταξεν αὐτοῖς κύριος καὶ ἐκεῖ εἰσιν ἕως τῆς σήμερον ἡμέρας
Servivitque Israël Domino cunctis diebus Josue et seniorum, qui longo vixerunt tempore post Josue, et qui noverunt omnia opera Domini quae fecerat in Israël.
ወቀበርዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደወለ ፡ ርስቱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ተምናሳረኅ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ደብረ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ እመንገለ ፡ መስዑ ፡ ለደብረ ፡ ገላአድ ፤ ህየ ፡ ወደዩ ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ውስተ ፡ መቃብሩ ፡ ኀበ ፡ ቀበርዎ ፡ መጣብሐ ፡ ዘእዝኅ ፡ እለ ፡ ቦንቱ ፡ ገዘሮሙ ፡ ለደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ በገልጋላ ፡ አመ ፡ ወፅኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ በከመ ፡ አዘዞ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ወህየ ፡ ሀለዋ ፡ እስከ ፡ ዮም ።
Israel served Yahweh all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, and had known all the work of Yahweh, that he had worked for Israel.
24:32
וְאֶת־עַצְמ֣וֹת י֠וֹסֵ֠ף אֲשֶׁר־הֶעֱל֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל׀מִמִּצְרַ֘יִם֮ קָבְר֣וּ בִשְׁכֶם֒ בְּחֶלְקַ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר קָנָ֧ה יַעֲקֹ֛ב מֵאֵ֛ת בְּנֵי־חֲמ֥וֹר אֲבִֽי־שְׁכֶ֖ם בְּמֵאָ֣ה קְשִׂיטָ֑ה וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ לִבְנֵֽי־יוֹסֵ֖ף לְנַחֲלָֽה׃
καὶ τὰ ὀστᾶ Ιωσηφ ἀνήγαγον οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ κατώρυξαν ἐν Σικιμοις ἐν τῇ μερίδι τοῦ ἀγροῦ οὗ ἐκτήσατο Ιακωβ παρὰ τῶν Αμορραίων τῶν κατοικούντων ἐν Σικιμοις ἀμνάδων ἑκατὸν καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν Ιωσηφ ἐν μερίδι
Ossa quoque Joseph, quae tulerant filii Israël de Aegypto, sepelierunt in Sichem, in parte agri quem emerat Jacob a filiis Hemor patris Sichem, centum novellis ovibus, et fuit in possessionem filiorum Joseph.
ወአዕጽምቲሁኒ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ዘአውጽኡ ፡ እምነ ፡ ግብጽ ፡ ወከረዩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰቂማ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ ኅብር ፡ ዘገራህት ፡ እንተ ፡ ተሣየጠ ፡ ያዕቆብ ፡ እምነ ፡ አሞሬዎን ፡ እለ ፡ ይነብሩ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ሰቂማ ፡ በምእት ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወወሀቦ ፡ ለዮሴፍ ፡ ክፍሎ ።
They buried the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of silver. They became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.
24:33
וְאֶלְעָזָ֥ר בֶּֽן־אַהֲרֹ֖ן מֵ֑ת וַיִּקְבְּר֣וּ אֹת֗וֹ בְּגִבְעַת֙ פִּֽינְחָ֣ס בְּנ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִתַּן־ל֖וֹ בְּהַ֥ר אֶפְרָֽיִם׃
καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ ταῦτα καὶ Ελεαζαρ υἱὸς Ααρων ὁ ἀρχιερεὺς ἐτελεύτησεν καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν Γαβααθ Φινεες τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ ἣν ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τῷ Εφραιμ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ λαβόντες οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ θεοῦ περιεφέροσαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς καὶ Φινεες ἱεράτευσεν ἀντὶ Ελεαζαρ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ἕως ἀπέθανεν καὶ κατωρύγη ἐν Γαβααθ τῇ ἑαυτοῦ οἱ δὲ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀπήλθοσαν ἕκαστος εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῶν καὶ εἰς τὴν ἑαυτῶν πόλιν καὶ ἐσέβοντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὴν Ἀστάρτην καὶ Ασταρωθ καὶ τοὺς θεοὺς τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν κύκλῳ αὐτῶν καὶ παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς χεῖρας Εγλωμ τῷ βασιλεῖ Μωαβ καὶ ἐκυρίευσεν αὐτῶν ἔτη δέκα ὀκτώ
Eleazar quoque filius Aaron mortuus est : et sepelierunt eum in Gabaath Phinees filii ejus, quae data est ei in monte Ephraim.
ወኮነ ፡ እምድኅረ ፡ ዝንቱ ፡ ወእልዐዛር ፡ ወልደ ፡ አሮን ፡ ሊቀ ፡ ካህናት ፡ ሶበ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ወቀበርዎ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምድረ ፡ [ገ]ባኦር ፡ እንተ ፡ ወሀቦ ፡ ለፊንሕስ ፡ ወልዱ ፡ በደብረ ፡ ኤፍሬም ። ወይእተ ፡ አሚረ ፡ ነሥኡ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ታቦቶ ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር ፡ ወወሰድዋ ፡ ምስሌሆሙ ፡ ወፊንሕስ ፡ ኮነ ፡ ሊቀ ፡ ካህናት ፡ ህየንተ ፡ እልዐዛር ፡ አቡሁ ፡ እስከ ፡ አመ ፡ ሞተ ፡ ወከረዩ ፡ ሎቱ ፡ ውስተ ፡ ገባኦር ፡ ውስተ ፡ ምደሮሙ ። ወአተው ፡ ኵሎሙ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ ውስተ ፡ አብያቲሆሙ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ አህጉሪሆሙ ። ወአምለኩ ፡ ደቂቀ ፡ እስራኤል ፡ አስጣርጤን ፡ ወሳጣሮት ፡ ወአማልክተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ እለ ፡ ዐውዶሙ ፡ ወአግብኦሙ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ውስተ ፡ እደ ፡ ኤቅሎን ፡ ንጉሠ ፡ ሞአብ ፡ ወቀነዮሙ ፡ ዐሠርተ ፡ ወሰመንተ ፡ ዓመተ ። (ተፈጸመ ፡ ኦሪት ፡ ዘኢየሱስ ።)
Eleazar the son of Aaron died. They buried him in the hill of Phinehas his son, which was given him in the hill country of Ephraim.
