1:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἀρχὴ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ,
Initium Evangelii Jesu Christi , Filii Dei .
ቀዳሚሁ ለወንጌለ እግዚእነ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ወልደ እግዚአብሔር ሕያው ።
The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
1:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ καθὼς γέγραπται ἐν τῷ Ἡσαΐᾳ τῷ προφήτῃ · ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω τὸν ἄγγελόν μου πρὸ προσώπου σου , ὃς κατασκευάσει τὴν ὁδόν σου ·
Sicut scriptum est in Isaia propheta : Ecce ego mitto angelum meum ante faciem tuam , qui praeparabit viam tuam ante te .
በከመ ጽሑፍ ውስተ መጻሕፍተ ነቢያት «ናሁ አነ እፌኑ መልአክየ ቅድመ ገጽከ ዘይጸይሕ ፍኖተከ ።
As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you:
1:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ φωνὴ βοῶντος ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ · ἑτοιμάσατε τὴν ὁδὸν κυρίου , εὐθείας ποιεῖτε τὰς τρίβους αὐτοῦ .
Vox clamantis in deserto : Parate viam Domini , rectas facite semitas ejus .
ቃለ ዐዋዲ ዘይሰብክ በገዳም ወይብል ጺሑአ ፍኖተ እግዚአብሔር ወዐርዩ መጽያሕቶ ።»
the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’”
1:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐγένετο Ἰωάννης ὁ βαπτίζων ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ κηρύσσων βάπτισμα μετανοίας εἰς ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν .
Fuit Joannes in deserto baptizans , et praedicans baptismum poenitentiae in remissionem peccatorum .
ወሀሎ ዮሐንስ ያጠምቅ በገዳም ወይሰብክ ጥምቀተ ለንስሓ ወለኅድገተ ኀጢአት
John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
1:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξεπορεύετο πρὸς αὐτὸν πᾶσα ἡ Ἰουδαία χώρα καὶ οἱ Ἱεροσολυμεῖται πάντες , καὶ ἐβαπτίζοντο ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ Ἰορδάνῃ ποταμῷ ἐξομολογούμενοι τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν .
Et egrediebatur ad eum omnis Judaeae regio , et Jerosolymitae universi , et baptizabantur ab illo in Jordanis flumine , confitentes peccata sua .
ወየሐውሩ ኀቤሁ ኵሉ ሰብአ ይሁዳ ወኢየሩሳሌም ወያጠምቆሙ ለኵሎሙ በፈለገ ዮርዳኖስ እንዘ ይትአመኑ ኀጢአቶሙ ።
All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins.
1:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἦν ὁ Ἰωάννης ἐνδεδυμένος τρίχας καμήλου καὶ ζώνην δερματίνην περὶ τὴν ὀσφὺν αὐτοῦ , καὶ ἐσθίων ἀκρίδας καὶ μέλι ἄγριον .
Et erat Joannes vestitus pilis cameli , et zona pellicea circa lumbos ejus , et locustas et mel silvestre edebat .
ወልብሱ ለዮሐንስ ፀጕረ ገመል ወቅናቱ ዘአዲም ውስተ ሐቌሁ ወሲሳዩ አንበጣ ወመዓረ ፀደና ።
John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey.
1:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐκήρυσσεν λέγων · ἔρχεται ὁ ἰσχυρότερός μου ὀπίσω μου , οὗ οὐκ εἰμὶ ἱκανὸς κύψας λῦσαι τὸν ἱμάντα τῶν ὑποδημάτων αὐτοῦ ·
Et praedicabat dicens : Venit fortior me post me , cujus non sum dignus procumbens solvere corrigiam calceamentorum ejus .
ወሰበከ ወይቤ ይመጽእ እምድኅሬየ ዘይጸንዕ እምኔየ ዘኢይደልወኒ እድንን ወእፍታሕ ቶታነ አሣእኒሁ እምእገሪሁ ።
He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.
1:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἐγὼ ἐβάπτισα ὑμᾶς ὕδατι , αὐτὸς δὲ βαπτίσει ὑμᾶς ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ .
Ego baptizavi vos aqua , ille vero baptizabit vos Spiritu Sancto .
ወአንሰ አጠምቀክሙ በማይ ወውእቱሰ ያጠምቀክሙ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ።
I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.”
1:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲτ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη εἰς τὸν Ἰορδάνην ὑπὸ Ἰωάννου .
Et factum est : in diebus illis venit Jesus a Nazareth Galilaeae : et baptizatus est a Joanne in Jordane .
ወይእተ አሚረ መጽአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ እምናዝሬት ዘገሊላ ወአጥመቆ ዮሐንስ በፈለገ ዮርዳኖስ ።
In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
1:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εὐθὺς ἀναβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ ὕδατος εἶδεν σχιζομένους τοὺς οὐρανοὺς καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα ὡς περιστερὰν καταβαῖνον εἰς αὐτόν .
Et statim ascendens de aqua , vidit caelos apertos , et Spiritum tamquam columbam descendentem , et manentem in ipso .
ወወፂኦ እማይ ርእየ ተሰጥቀ ሰማይ ወወረደ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ከመ ርግብ ወነበረ ዲቤሁ ።
Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
1:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ φωνὴ ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν · σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός , ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα .
Et vox facta est de caelis : Tu es Filius meus dilectus , in te complacui .
ወመጽአ ቃል እምሰማይ ዘይብል አንተ ውእቱ ወልድየ ዘአፈቅር ወኪያከ ሠመርኩ ።
A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
1:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εὐθὺς τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτὸν ἐκβάλλει εἰς τὴν ἔρημον .
Et statim Spiritus expulit eum in desertum .
ወአውፅኦ መንፈስ ሶቤሃ ገዳመ ።
Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness.
1:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἦν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τεσσεράκοντα ἡμέρας πειραζόμενος ὑπὸ τοῦ σατανᾶ , καὶ ἦν μετὰ τῶν θηρίων , καὶ οἱ ἄγγελοι διηκόνουν αὐτῷ .
Et erat in deserto quadraginta diebus , et quadraginta noctibus : et tentabatur a Satana : eratque cum bestiis , et angeli ministrabant illi .
ወነበረ ሐቅለ አርብዓ መዓልተ ወአርብዓ ሌሊተ ወያሜክሮ ሰይጣን ወነበረ ምስለ አራዊት ወይትለአክዎ መላእክት ።
He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him.
1:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ Μετὰ δὲ τὸ παραδοθῆναι τὸν Ἰωάννην ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν , κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τοῦ θεοῦ ,
Postquam autem traditus est Joannes , venit Jesus in Galilaeam , praedicans Evangelium regni Dei ,
ወእምድኅረ አኀዝዎ ወሞቅሕዎ ለዮሐንስ መጽአ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ገሊላ ወሰበከ ወንጌለ መንግሥተ እግዚአብሔር ።
Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom,
1:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτι πεπλήρωται ὁ καιρὸς καὶ ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ · μετανοεῖτε καὶ πιστεύετε ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ .
et dicens : Quoniam impletum est tempus , et appropinquavit regnum Dei : poenitemini , et credite Evangelio .
ወይቤ በጽሐ ጊዜሁ ወቀርበት መንግሥተ ሰማያት ነስሑ ወእመኑ በወንጌል ።
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
1:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ παράγων παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας εἶδεν Σίμωνα καὶ Ἀνδρέαν τὸν ἀδελφὸν Σίμωνος ἀμφιβάλλοντας ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ · ἦσαν γὰρ ἁλεεῖς .
Et praeteriens secus mare Galilaeae , vidit Simonem , et Andream fratrem ejus , mittentes retia in mare (erant enim piscatores ),
ወእንዘ የኀልፍ መንገለ ባሕረ ገሊላ ረከቦሙ ለስምዖን ወለእንድርያስ እኁሁ እንዘ ያሤግሩ ውስተ ባሕር እስመ መሠግራነ ዓሣ እሙንቱ ።
Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
1:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς · δεῦτε ὀπίσω μου , καὶ ποιήσω ὑμᾶς γενέσθαι ἁλεεῖς ἀνθρώπων .
et dixit eis Jesus : Venite post me , et faciam vos fieri piscatores hominum .
ወይቤሎሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ንዑ ትልዉኒ ወእሬስየክሙ መሠግራነ ሰብእ ።
Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.”
1:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εὐθὺς ἀφέντες τὰ δίκτυα ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ .
Et protinus relictis retibus , secuti sunt eum .
ወኀደጉ መሣግሪሆሙ ወተለውዎ ሶቤሃ ።
Immediately they left their nets, and followed him.
1:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ προβὰς ὀλίγον εἶδεν Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ , καὶ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ καταρτίζοντας τὰ δίκτυα ,
Et progressus inde pusillum , vidit Jacobum Zebedaei , et Joannem fratrem ejus , et ipsos componentes retia in navi :
ወኀሊፎ እምህየ ሕቀ ረከቦሙ ለያዕቆብ ወለዮሐንስ እኁሁ ደቂቀ ዘብዴዎስ ወለሊሁኒ ምስሌሆሙ ውስተ ሐመር እንዘ ያስተሣንዩ መሣግሪሆሙ ።
Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets.
1:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εὐθὺς ἐκάλεσεν αὐτούς · καὶ ἀφέντες τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν Ζεβεδαῖον ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ μετὰ τῶν μισθωτῶν ἀπῆλθον ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ .
et statim vocavit illos . Et relicto patre suo Zebedaeo in navi cum mercenariis , secuti sunt eum .
ወጸውዖሙ በጊዜሃ ወኀደጉ ዘብዴዎስሃ አባሆሙ ምስለ ዐሳቡ ውስተ ሐመር ወሖሩ ወተለውዎ ።
Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
1:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εἰσπορεύονται εἰς Καφαρναούμ · καὶ εὐθὺς τοῖς σάββασιν ἐδίδασκεν εἰς τὴν συναγωγήν .
Et ingrediuntur Capharnaum : et statim sabbatis ingressus in synagogam , docebat eos .
ወሖሩ ቅፍርናሆም ወቦአ በሰንበት ምኵራበ ወአኀዘ ይምሀሮሙ ።
They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
1:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξεπλήσσοντο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ · ἦν γὰρ διδάσκων αὐτοὺς ὡς ἐξουσίαν ἔχων , καὶ οὐχ ὡς οἱ γραμματεῖς .
Et stupebant super doctrina ejus : erat enim docens eos quasi potestatem habens , et non sicut scribae .
ወአንከሩ ምህሮቶ እስመ ከመ መኰንን ይሜህሮሙ ወአኮ ከመ ጸሐፍቶሙ ።
They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes.
1:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εὐθὺς ἦν ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ αὐτῶν ἄνθρωπος ἐν πνεύματι ἀκαθάρτῳ , καὶ ἀνέκραξεν
Et erat in synagoga eorum homo in spiritu immundo : et exclamavit ,
ወሀሎ ብእሲ ዘጋኔን ውስተ ምኵራብ ወዐውየወ ወይቤ ።
Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out,
1:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ λέγων · τί ἡμῖν καὶ σοί , Ἰησοῦ Ναζαρηνέ ; ἦλθες ἀπολέσαι ἡμᾶς · οἴδαμέν σε τίς εἶ , ὁ ἅγιος τοῦ θεοῦ .
dicens : Quid nobis et tibi , Jesu Nazarene ? venisti perdere nos ? scio qui sis , Sanctus Dei .
ምንት ብየ ምስሌከ ኢየሱስ ናዝራዊ መጻእከኑ ታጥፍአነ አአምረከ ከመ አንተ ቅዱሱ ለእግዚአብሔር ።
saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
1:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς · φιμώθητι καὶ ἔξελθε ἐξ αὐτοῦ .
Et comminatus est ei Jesus , dicens : Obmutesce , et exi de homine .
ወገሠጾ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎ ተፈፀም ወፃእ እምኔሁ ።
Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
1:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ σπαράξαν αὐτὸν τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἀκάθαρτον καὶ φωνῆσαν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ ἐξῆλθεν ἐξ αὐτοῦ .
Et discerpens eum spiritus immundus , et exclamans voce magna , exiit ab eo .
ወአስተራገፆ ውእቱ ጋኔን እኩይ ወዐውየወ በዐቢይ ቃል ወወፅአ እምኔሁ ።
The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
1:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐθαμβήθησαν ἅπαντες , ὥστε συζητεῖν αὐτοὺς λέγοντας · τί ἐστιν τοῦτο ; διδαχὴ καινὴ κατ’ ἐξουσίαν · καὶ τοῖς πνεύμασι τοῖς ἀκαθάρτοις ἐπιτάσσει , καὶ ὑπακούουσιν αὐτῷ .
Et mirati sunt omnes , ita ut conquirerent inter se dicentes : Quidnam est hoc ? quaenam doctrina haec nova ? quia in potestate etiam spiritibus immundis imperat , et obediunt ei .
ወደንገፁ ኵሎሙ ወይቤሉ በበይናቲሆሙ ምንትኑ ዝንቱ ትምህርት ሐዲስ እስመ በትእዛዝ ይኤዝዞሙ ለአጋንንት ርኩሳን ወይትኤዘዙ ሎቱ ።
They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What can this new doctrine be? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!”
1:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἡ ἀκοὴ αὐτοῦ εὐθὺς πανταχοῦ εἰς ὅλην τὴν περίχωρον τῆς Γαλιλαίας .
Et processit rumor ejus statim in omnem regionem Galilaeae .
ወተሰምዐ ነገሩ ውስተ ኵሉ በሓውርተ ገሊላ ።
The report of him went out immediately into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area.
1:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εὐθὺς ἐκ τῆς συναγωγῆς ἐξελθόντες ἦλθον εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Σίμωνος καὶ Ἀνδρέου μετὰ Ἰακώβου καὶ Ἰωάννου .
Et protinus egredientes de synagoga , venerunt in domum Simonis et Andreae , cum Jacobo et Joanne .
ወወፂኦ እምኵራብ ቦአ ቤተ ስምዖን ወምስሌሁ እንድርያስ ወያዕቆብ ወዮሐንስ ።
Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
1:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἡ δὲ πενθερὰ Σίμωνος κατέκειτο πυρέσσουσα , καὶ εὐθὺς λέγουσιν αὐτῷ περὶ αὐτῆς .
Decumbebat autem socrus Simonis febricitans : et statim dicunt ei de illa .
ወሐማቱ ለስምዖን ትፈፅን ወነገርዎ በእንቲኣሃ ።
Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her.
1:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ προσελθὼν ἤγειρεν αὐτὴν κρατήσας τῆς χειρός · καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτὴν ὁ πυρετός , καὶ διηκόνει αὐτοῖς .
Et accedens elevavit eam , apprehensa manu ejus : et continuo dimisit eam febris , et ministrabat eis .
ወቀርበ ኀቤሃ ወአኀዛ እዴሃ ወአንሥኣ ወኀደጋ ፈፀንታ ሶቤሃ ወተንሥአት ወተልእከቶሙ ።
He came and took her by the hand and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.
1:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης , ὅτε ἔδυ ὁ ἥλιος , ἔφερον πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας καὶ τοὺς δαιμονιζομένους ·
Vespere autem facto cum occidisset sol , afferebant ad eum omnes male habentes , et daemonia habentes :
ወመስዮ ጊዜ የዐርብ ፀሐይ አምጽኡ ኀቤሁ ኵሎ ድዉያነ ወእለሂ አጋንንት ።
At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick and those who were possessed by demons.
1:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἦν ὅλη ἡ πόλις ἐπισυνηγμένη πρὸς τὴν θύραν .
et erat omnis civitas congregata ad januam .
ወተጋብኡ ኀቤሁ ኵሉ ሀገር ኀበ አንቀጽ ።
All the city was gathered together at the door.
1:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν πολλοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας ποικίλαις νόσοις , καὶ δαιμόνια πολλὰ ἐξέβαλεν , καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν λαλεῖν τὰ δαιμόνια , ὅτι ᾔδεισαν αὐτόν .
Et curavit multos , qui vexabantur variis languoribus , et daemonia multa ejiciebat , et non sinebat ea loqui , quoniam sciebant eum .
ወፈወሶሙ ለብዙኃን ድዉያን ወሕሙማን ወአውፅኦሙ ለብዙኃን አጋንንት ወኢያብሖሙ ይንብቡ እስመ የአምርዎ ከመ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ።
He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him.
1:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ πρωῒ ἔννυχα λίαν ἀναστὰς ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κἀκεῖ προσηύχετο .
Et diluculo valde surgens , egressus abiit in desertum locum , ibique orabat .
ወበጽባሕ ተንሥአ ወአሌለየ ጥቀ ወወፂኦ ሖረ ሐቅለ ወጸለየ በህየ ።
Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there.
1:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ κατεδίωξεν αὐτὸν Σίμων καὶ οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ,
Et prosecutus est eum Simon , et qui cum illo erant .
ወዴገንዎ ስምዖን ወእለ ምስሌሁ ።
Simon and those who were with him searched for him.
1:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν , καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε .
Et cum invenissent eum , dixerunt ei : Quia omnes quaerunt te .
ወሶበ ረከብዎ ይቤልዎ እንጋ ኵሉ ሕዝብ የኀሥሡከ ።
They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.”
1:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς · ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις , ἵνα κἀκεῖ κηρύξω · εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐξῆλθον .
Et ait illis : Eamus in proximos vicos , et civitates , ut et ibi praedicem : ad hoc enim veni .
ወይቤሎሙ ተንሥኡ ንሑር ካልኣተኒ አህጉረ ከመ በህየኒ እስብክ እስመ እንበይነ ዝንቱ ግብር መጻእኩ ።
He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.”
1:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἦλθεν κηρύσσων εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς αὐτῶν εἰς ὅλην τὴν Γαλιλαίαν καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ἐκβάλλων .
Et erat praedicans in synagogis eorum , et in omni Galilaea , et daemonia ejiciens .
ወሖረ ወሰበከ በምኵራባቲሆሙ በኵሉ ገሊላ ወያወፅእ አጋንንተ ።
He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
1:40 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἔρχεται πρὸς αὐτὸν λεπρὸς , παρακαλῶν αὐτὸν καὶ γονυπετῶν λέγων αὐτῷ ὅτι ἐὰν θέλῃς δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι .
Et venit ad eum leprosus deprecans eum : et genu flexo dixit ei : Si vis , potes me mundare .
ወመጽአ ኀቤሁ ዘለምጽ ወአስተብረከ ወአስተብቍዖ ወይቤሎ እግዚኦ እመሰ ፈቀድከ ትክል አንጽሖትየ ።
A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.”
1:41 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ σπλαγχνισθεὶς ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἥψατο καὶ λέγει · θέλω , καθαρίσθητι .
Jesus autem misertus ejus , extendit manum suam : et tangens eum , ait illi : Volo : mundare .
ወምሕሮ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወሰፍሐ እዴሁ ወገሠሦ ወይቤሎ እፈቅድ ንጻሕ ።
Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.”
1:42 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εὐθὺς ἀπῆλθεν ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ ἡ λέπρα , καὶ ἐκαθερίσθη .
Et cum dixisset , statim discessit ab eo lepra , et mundatus est .
ወዘንተ ብሂሎ ሐይወ ለምጹ ሶቤሃ ።
When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was made clean.
1:43 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐμβριμησάμενος αὐτῷ εὐθὺς ἐξέβαλεν αὐτόν ,
Et comminatus est ei , statimque ejecit illum ,
ወገሠጾ ወፈነዎ ፤
He strictly warned him and immediately sent him out,
1:44 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ · ὅρα μηδενὶ μηδὲν εἴπῃς , ἀλλὰ ὕπαγε σεαυτὸν δεῖξον τῷ ἱερεῖ καὶ προσένεγκε περὶ τοῦ καθαρισμοῦ σου ἃ προσέταξεν Μωϋσῆς , εἰς μαρτύριον αὐτοῖς .
et dicit ei : Vide nemini dixeris : sed vade , ostende te principi sacerdotum , et offer pro emundatione tua , quae praecepit Moyses in testimonium illis .
ወይቤሎ ዑቅ ኢትንግር ወኢለመኑሂ ወሑር ወአፍትን ርእሰከ ለካህን ወአብእ መባአከ በእንተ ዘነጻሕከ በከመ አዘዘ ሙሴ ከመ ይኩን ስምዐ ላዕሌሆሙ ።
and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”
1:45 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ ἐξελθὼν ἤρξατο κηρύσσειν πολλὰ καὶ διαφημίζειν τὸν λόγον , ὥστε μηκέτι αὐτὸν δύνασθαι εἰς πόλιν φανερῶς εἰσελθεῖν , ἀλλ’ ἔξω ἐπ’ ἐρήμοις τόποις ἦν , καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν πάντοθεν .
At ille egressus coepit praedicare , et diffamare sermonem , ita ut jam non posset manifeste introire in civitatem , sed foris in desertis locis esset , et conveniebant ad eum undique .
ወወፂኦ አኀዘ ይስብክ ወይንግር ብዙኀ እስከ ያነክሩ ኵሉ ሀገር ወስእነ በዊአ ሀገር ክሡተ አላ አፍኣ ገዳመ ይነብር ወይመጽኡ ኀቤሁ እምኵለሄ ።
But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere.
