8:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ Ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις πάλιν πόλλου ὄχλου ὄντος καὶ μὴ ἐχόντων τί φάγωσιν , προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς λέγει αὐτοῖς ·
In diebus illis iterum cum turba multa esset , nec haberent quod manducarent , convocatis discipulis , ait illis :
ወይእተ አሚረ ካዕበ ብዙኅ ሰብእ ሀሎ ወአልቦሙ ዘይበልዑ ወጸውዖሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ወይቤሎሙ ።
In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself and said to them,
8:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον , ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέραι τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν .
Misereor super turbam : quia ecce jam triduo sustinent me , nec habent quod manducent :
ያምሕሩኒ እሉ ሰብእ ናሁ ሣልሶሙ ዮም እንዘ ይጸንሑኒ ወአልቦሙ ዘይበልዑ ።
“I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days and have nothing to eat.
8:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐὰν ἀπολύσω αὐτοὺς νήστις εἰς οἶκον αὐτῶν , ἐκλυθήσονται ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ · καί τινες αὐτῶν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἥκασιν .
et si dimisero eos jejunos in domum suam , deficient in via : quidam enim ex eis de longe venerunt .
ወእመኒ ሰዐርክዎሙ ርኁባኒሆሙ ይእትዉ አብያቲሆሙ ይደክሙ በፍኖት እስመ ቦ እምኔሆሙ እምርኁቅ ዘመጽኡ ።
If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
8:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ὅτι πόθεν τούτους δυνήσεταί τις ὧδε χορτάσαι ἄρτων ἐπ’ ἐρημίας ;
Et responderunt ei discipuli sui : Unde illos quis poterit saturare panibus in solitudine ?
ወይቤልዎ አርዳኢሁ መኑ ዘይክል በዝየ በገዳም አጽግቦቶሙ ኅብስተ ለዝንቱ ኵሉ ሕዝብ ።
His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?”
8:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτούς · πόσους ἔχετε ἄρτους ; οἱ δὲ εἶπαν · ἑπτά .
Et interrogavit eos : Quot panes habetis ? Qui dixerunt : Septem .
ወይቤሎሙ ሚመጠን ኀባውዝ ብክሙ ወይቤልዎ ሰብዑ ።
He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”
8:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ παραγγέλλει τῷ ὄχλῳ ἀναπεσεῖν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς · καὶ λαβὼν τοὺς ἑπτὰ ἄρτους εὐχαριστήσας ἔκλασεν καὶ ἐδίδου τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ ἵνα παρατιθῶσιν · καὶ παρέθηκαν τῷ ὄχλῳ .
Et praecepit turbae discumbere super terram . Et accipiens septem panes , gratias agens fregit , et dabat discipulis suis ut apponerent , et apposuerunt turbae .
ወአዘዞሙ ለሰብእ ይርፍቁ ዲበ ምድር ወነሥኦን ለሰብዑ ኅብስት ወአእኰተ ወፈተተ ወወሀቦሙ ለአርዳኢሁ ያቅርቡ ሎሙ ወአቅረቡ ለሰብእ ።
He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.
8:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ εἶχαν ἰχθύδια ὀλίγα · καὶ εὐλογήσας αὐτὰ παρέθηκέν .
Et habebant pisciculos paucos : et ipsos benedixit , et jussit apponi .
ወቦሙ ዓሣኒ ኅዳጥ ወባረከ ኪያሁኒ ወይቤሎሙ አቅርቡ ሎሙ ዘኒ ።
They also had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
8:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔφαγον καὶ ἐχορτάσθησαν , καὶ ἦραν περισσεύματα κλασμάτων ἑπτὰ σπυρίδας .
Et manducaverunt , et saturati sunt , et sustulerunt quod superaverat de fragmentis , septem sportas .
ወበልዑ ወጸግቡ ወዘአግኀሡ ዘተርፈ ፍተታት መልአ ሰብዐተ አስፈሬዳተ ።
They ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
8:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ ἦσαν δὲ ὡς τετρακισχίλιοι · καὶ ἀπέλυσεν αὐτούς .
Erant autem qui manducaverunt , quasi quatuor millia : et dimisit eos .
ወእለሰ በልዕዎ የአክሉ አርብዓ ምእት ወእምዝ ፈነዎሙ ሶቤሃ ይሑሩ ።
Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
8:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ εὐθὺς ἐμβὰς εἰς τὸ πλοῖον μετὰ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἦλθεν εἰς τὰ μέρη Δαλμανουθά .
Et statim ascendens navim cum discipulis suis , venit in partes Dalmanutha .
ወእምዝ ዐርገ ሐመረ ምስለ አርዳኢሁ ወበጽሐ ውስተ ደወለ ድልማኑታ ።
Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
8:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐξῆλθον οἱ Φαρισαῖοι καὶ ἤρξαντο συζητεῖν αὐτῷ , ζητοῦντες παρ’ αὐτοῦ σημεῖον ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ , πειράζοντες αὐτόν .
Et exierunt pharisaei , et coeperunt conquirere cum eo , quaerentes ab illo signum de caelo , tentantes eum .
ወወፅኡ ፈሪሳውያን ወአኀዙ ይትኀሠሥዎ ወይሰአልዎ ትእምርተ እምሰማይ እንዘ ያሜክርዎ ።
The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven and testing him.
8:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀναστενάξας τῷ πνεύματι αὐτοῦ λέγει · τί ἡ γενεὰ αὕτη ζητεῖ σημεῖον ; ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν εἰ δοθήσεται τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ σημεῖον .
Et ingemiscens spiritu , ait : Quid generatio ista signum quaerit ? Amen dico vobis , si dabitur generationi isti signum .
ወተከዘ በመንፈሱ ወይቤ ምንትኑ ተኀሥሥ ትእምርተ ዛቲ ትውልድ አማን እብለክሙ ከመ ኢይትወሀባ ለዛቲ ትውልድ ትእምርት ።
He sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
8:13 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀφεὶς αὐτοὺς πάλιν ἐμβὰς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πέραν .
Et dimittens eos , ascendit iterum navim et abiit trans fretum .
ወኀደጎሙ ወዐርገ ካዕበ ሐመረ ወሖረ ማዕዶተ ።
He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.
8:14 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἐπελάθοντο λαβεῖν ἄρτους , καὶ εἰ μὴ ἕνα ἄρτον οὐκ εἶχον μεθ’ ἑαυτῶν ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ .
Et obliti sunt panes sumere : et nisi unum panem non habebant secum in navi .
ወረስዑ ነሢአ ኅብስት ወአልቦሙ ዘእንበለ አሐቲ ኅብስት ምስሌሆሙ ውስተ ሐመር ።
They forgot to take bread; and they didn’t have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
8:15 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ διεστέλλετο αὐτοῖς λέγων · ὁρᾶτε , βλέπετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων καὶ τῆς ζύμης Ἡρῴδου .
Et praecipiebat eis , dicens : Videte , et cavete a fermento pharisaeorum , et fermento Herodis .
ወአዘዞሙ ወይቤሎሙ ዑቁ ወተዐቀቡ እምነ ብኁኦሙ ለፈሪሳውያን ወእምነ ብኁኦሙ ለሄሮድሳውያን ።
He warned them, saying, “Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”
8:16 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἀλλήλους ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ἔχομεν .
Et cogitabant ad alterutrum , dicentes : quia panes non habemus .
ወኀለዩ በበይናቲሆሙ ወይቤሉ እስመሁ እንጋ ኅብስተ ኢነሣእነ ይብለነ ።
They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”
8:17 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ γνοὺς λέγει αὐτοῖς · τί διαλογίζεσθε ὅτι ἄρτους οὐκ ἔχετε ; οὔπω νοεῖτε οὐδὲ συνίετε ; ἔτι πεπωρωμένην ἔχετε τὴν καρδίαν ὑμῶν ;
Quo cognito , ait illis Jesus : Quid cogitatis , quia panes non habetis ? nondum cognoscetis nec intelligitis ? adhuc caecatum habetis cor vestrum ?
ወአእመሮሙ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወይቤሎሙ ምንተኑ ትኄልዩ በልብክሙ እስመሁ ኅብስት አልብክሙ ዓዲኑ ኢተአምሩ ወኢትሌብዉ ልብክሙኑ ጽሉል ።
Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet or understand? Is your heart still hardened?
8:18 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχοντες οὐ βλέπετε , καὶ ὦτα ἔχοντες οὐκ ἀκούετε , καὶ οὐ μνημονεύετε ,
oculos habentes non videtis ? et aures habentes non auditis ? nec recordamini ,
አዕይንት ብክሙ ወኢትሬእዩ ወእዝን ብክሙ ወኢትሰምዑ ወኢትዜከሩኑ ።
Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?
8:19 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτε τοὺς πέντε ἄρτους ἔκλασα εἰς τοὺς πεντακισχιλίους , καὶ πόσους κοφίνους κλασμάτων πλήρεις ἤρατε ; λέγουσιν αὐτῷ · δώδεκα .
quando quinque panes fregi in quinque millia : quot cophinos fragmentorum plenos sustulistis ? Dicunt ei : Duodecim .
ዘአመ ኀምሰ ኅብስተ ፈተትኩ ለኀምሳ ምእት ብእሲ ሚመጠነ አግኀሥክሙ አክፋረ ዘመልአ ፍተታተ ዘተርፈ ወይቤልዎ ዐሠርተ ወክልኤተ ።
When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Twelve.”
8:20 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὅτε καὶ τοὺς ἑπτὰ εἰς τοὺς τετρακισχιλίους , πόσων σπυρίδων πληρώματα κλασμάτων ἤρατε ; καὶ λέγουσιν · ἑπτά .
Quando et septem panes in quatuor millia : quot sportas fragmentorum tulistis ? Et dicunt ei : Septem .
ወይቤሎሙ አመሰኬ ሰብዑ ኅብስተ ለአርብዓ ምእት ብእሲ ሚመጠነ አግኀሥክሙ አስፈሬዳተ ዘመልአ ፍተታተ ዘተርፈ ወይቤልዎ ሰብዑ ።
“When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”
8:21 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς · οὔπω συνίετε ;
Et dicebat eis : Quomodo nondum intelligitis ?
ወይቤሎሙ እፎ እንከ ዘኢትሌብዉ ።
He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”
8:22 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς Βηθσαϊδάν . καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτῷ τυφλὸν , καὶ παρακαλοῦσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα αὐτοῦ ἅψηται .
Et veniunt Bethsaidam , et adducunt ei caecum , et rogabant eum ut illum tangeret .
ወበጽሑ ቤተ ሳይዳ ወአምጽኡ ኀቤሁ ዕዉረ ወአስተብቍዕዎ ይግሥሦ ።
He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him and begged him to touch him.
8:23 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπιλαβόμενος τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ τυφλοῦ ἐξήνεγκεν αὐτὸν ἔξω τῆς κώμης , καὶ πτύσας εἰς τὰ ὄμματα αὐτοῦ , ἐπιθεὶς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῷ , ἐπηρώτα αὐτόν , εἴ τι βλέπει ;
Et apprehensa manu caeci , eduxit eum extra vicum : et exspuens in oculos ejus impositis manibus suis , interrogavit eum si quid videret .
ወአኀዞ በእዴሁ ለውእቱ ዕዉር ወአውፅኦ አፍኣ እምሀገር ወተፍአ ውስተ አዕይንቲሁ ወገሠሦ ወይቤሎ ምንተ ትሬኢ ።
He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
8:24 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀναβλέψας ἔλεγεν · βλέπω τοὺς ἀνθρώπους , ὅτι ὡς δένδρα ὁρῶ περιπατοῦντας .
Et aspiciens , ait : Video homines velut arbores ambulantes .
ወነጸረ ወይቤ እሬኢ ሰብአ ከመ ዕፀው ያንሶስዉ ።
He looked up, and said, “I see men, but I see them like walking trees.”
8:25 ⧉ ⤴︎ εἶτα πάλιν ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ , καὶ διέβλεψεν , καὶ ἀπεκατέστη , καὶ ἐνέβλεπεν δηλαυγῶς ἅπαντα .
Deinde iterum imposuit manus super oculos ejus : et coepit videre : et restitutus est ita ut clare videret omnia .
ወገሠሦ አዕይንቲሁ ካዕበ ወርእየ ዳኅነ ወነጸረ ኵሎ ብሩሀ ።
Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.
8:26 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν εἰς οἶκον αὐτοῦ λέγων · μὴ εἰς τὴν κώμην εἰσέλθῃς .
Et misit illum in domum suam , dicens : Vade in domum tuam : et si in vicum introieris , nemini dixeris .
ወፈነዎ ቤቶ ወይቤሎ ኢትባእ ውስተ አዕጻዳት ወአልቦ ዘትነግር በውስተ ሀገርኒ ።
He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”
8:27 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὰς κώμας Καισαρείας τῆς Φιλίππου · καὶ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐπηρώτα τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγων αὐτοῖς · τίνα με λέγουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι εἶναι ;
Et egressus est Jesus , et discipuli ejus in castella Caesareae Philippi : et in via interrogabat discipulos suos , dicens eis : Quem me dicunt esse homines ?
ወሖረ እግዚእ ኢየሱስ ወአርዳኢሁ ውስተ አህጉረ ቂሳርያ ዘፊልጶስ ወተስእሎሙ ለአርዳኢሁ በፍኖት ወይቤሎሙ መነ ይብለኒ ሰብእ ።
Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
8:28 ⧉ ⤴︎ οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες ὅτι Ἰωάννην τὸν βαπτιστήν , καὶ ἄλλοι , Ἡλείαν , ἄλλοι δὲ ὅτι εἷς τῶν προφητῶν .
Qui responderunt illi , dicentes : Joannem Baptistam , alii Eliam , alii vero quasi unum de prophetis .
ወይቤልዎ ዮሐንስሃ መጥምቀ አው ኤልያስሃ አው አሐዱ እምነቢያት ።
They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others, one of the prophets.”
8:29 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπηρώτα αὐτούς · ὑμεῖς δὲ τίνα με λέγετε εἶναι ; ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ Πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ · σὺ εἶ ὁ Χριστός .
Tunc dicit illis : Vos vero quem me esse dicitis ? Respondens Petrus , ait ei : Tu es Christus .
ወይቤሎሙ አንትሙኬ መነ ትብሉኒ ወተሰጥዎ ጴጥሮስ ወይቤሎ አንተ ውእቱ ክርስቶስ ።
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
8:30 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτοῖς ἵνα μηδενὶ λέγωσιν περὶ αὐτοῦ .
Et comminatus est eis , ne cui dicerent de illo .
ወገሠጾሙ ከመ ኢይንግሩ ወኢለመኑሂ በእንቲኣሁ ።
He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
8:31 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ ἤρξατο διδάσκειν αὐτοὺς ὅτι δεῖ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου πολλὰ παθεῖν , καὶ ἀποδοκιμασθῆναι ὑπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων καὶ τῶν ἀρχιερέων καὶ τῶν γραμματέων καὶ ἀποκτανθῆναι καὶ μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἀναστῆναι .
Et coepit docere eos quoniam oportet Filium hominis pati multa , et reprobari a senioribus , et a summis sacerdotibus et scribis , et occidi : et post tres dies resurgere .
ወአኀዘ ይምሀሮሙ ከመ ሀለዎ ለወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያው ብዙኀ ያሕምምዎ ወያመክርዎ ረበናት ወሊቃነ ካህናት ወጸሐፍት ወይቀትልዎ ወይትነሣእ በሣልስት ዕለት ።
He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
8:32 ⧉ ⤴︎ καὶ παρρησίᾳ τὸν λόγον ἐλάλει . καὶ προσλαβόμενος ὁ Πέτρος αὐτὸν ἤρξατο ἐπιτιμᾶν αὐτῷ .
Et palam verbum loquebatur . Et apprehendens eum Petrus , coepit increpare eum .
ወገሀደ ነገሮሙ ዘንተ ነገረ ወቀርበ ጴጥሮስ ወአኀዘ ይክልኦ ።
He spoke to them openly. Peter took him and began to rebuke him.
8:33 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὁ δὲ ἐπιστραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ ἐπετίμησεν Πέτρῳ καὶ λέγει · ὕπαγε ὀπίσω μου , σατανᾶ , ὅτι οὐ φρονεῖς τὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀλλὰ τὰ τῶν ἀνθρώπων .
Qui conversus , et videns discipulos suos , comminatus est Petro , dicens : Vade retro me Satana , quoniam non sapis quae Dei sunt , sed quae sunt hominum .
ወተመይጠ ወነጸረ ኀበ አርዳኢሁ ወገሠጾ ለጴጥሮስ ወይቤሎ ሑር እምድኅሬየ ሰይጣን እስመ ኢትኄሊ ዘእግዚአብሔር ዘእንበለ ዘዕጓለ እመሕያው ።
But he, turning around and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”
8:34 ⧉ ⤴︎ Καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος τὸν ὄχλον σὺν τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς · ὅστις θέλει ὀπίσω μου ἀκολουθεῖν , ἀπαρνησάσθω ἑαυτὸν καὶ ἀράτω τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀκολουθείτω μοι .
Et convocata turba cum discipulis suis , dixit eis : Si quis vult me sequi , deneget semetipsum : et tollat crucem suam , et sequatur me .
ወጸውዖሙ ለሕዝብ ምስለ አርዳኢሁ ወይቤሎሙ ዘይፈቅድ ይፀመደኒ ይጽልኣ ለነፍሱ ወያጥብዕ ወይጹር መስቀለ ሞቱ ወይትልወኒ ።
He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
8:35 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὃς γὰρ ἐὰν θέλῃ τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ σῶσαι , ἀπολέσει αὐτήν · ὃς δ’ ἂν ἀπολέσει τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ψυχὴν ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ καὶ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου , σώσει αὐτήν .
Qui enim voluerit animam suam salvam facere , perdet eam : qui autem perdiderit animam suam propter me , et Evangelium , salvam faciet eam .
ወዘይፈቅድ ያድኅና ለነፍሱ ለይግድፋ ወዘሰ ገደፋ ለነፍሱ በእንቲኣየ ወበእንተ ወንጌል ይረክባ ።
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
8:36 ⧉ ⤴︎ τί γὰρ ὠφελεῖ ἄνθρωπον κερδῆσαι τὸν κόσμον ὅλον καὶ ζημιωθῆναι τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ;
Quid enim proderit homini , si lucretur mundum totum et detrimentum animae suae faciat ?
ወምንተ ይበቍዖ ለሰብእ ለእመ ኵሎ ዓለመ ረብኀ ወነፍሶ ኀጕለ ።
For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
8:37 ⧉ ⤴︎ τί γὰρ δοῖ ἄνθρωπος ἀντάλλαγμα τῆς ψυχῆς αὐτοῦ ;
Aut quid dabit homo commutationis pro anima sua ?
ወምንተ እምወሀበ ሰብእ ቤዛሃ ለነፍሱ ።
For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
8:38 ⧉ ⤴︎ ὃς γὰρ ἐὰν ἐπαισχυνθῇ με καὶ τοὺς ἐμοὺς λόγους ἐν τῇ γενεᾷ ταύτῃ τῇ μοιχαλίδι καὶ ἁμαρτωλῷ , καὶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπαισχυνθήσεται αὐτὸν , ὅταν ἔλθῃ ἐν τῇ δόξῃ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ μετὰ τῶν ἀγγέλων τῶν ἁγίων .
Qui enim me confusus fuerit , et verba mea in generatione ista adultera et peccatrice , et Filius hominis confundetur eum , cum venerit in gloria Patris sui cum angelis sanctis .
ወለዘኒ ኀፈረኒ ወኀፈረ ቃልየ በዛቲ ትውልድ ዘማ ወኃጥእት ወልደ ዕጓለ እመሕያውኒ የኀፍሮ አመ ይመጽእ በስብሐተ አቡሁ ምስለ መላእክቲሁ ቅዱሳን ።
For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”
8:39 ⧉ ⤴︎ — Et dicebat illis : Amen dico vobis , quia sunt quidam de hic stantibus , qui non gustabunt mortem donec videant regnum Dei veniens in virtute .
