10:1 ⧉ ⤴︎ שַׁאֲל֨וּ מֵיְהֹוָ֤ה מָטָר֙ בְּעֵ֣ת מַלְק֔וֹשׁ יְהֹוָ֖ה עֹשֶׂ֣ה חֲזִיזִ֑ים וּמְטַר ־גֶּ֙שֶׁם֙ יִתֵּ֣ן לָהֶ֔ם לְאִ֖ישׁ עֵ֥שֶׂב בַּשָּׂדֶֽה ׃
αἰτεῖσθε ὑετὸν παρὰ κυρίου καθ’ ὥραν πρόιμον καὶ ὄψιμον κύριος ἐποίησεν φαντασίας καὶ ὑετὸν χειμερινὸν δώσει αὐτοῖς ἑκάστῳ βοτάνην ἐν ἀγρῷ
Petite a Domino pluviam in tempore serotino , et Dominus faciet nives : et pluviam imbris dabit eis , singulis herbam in agro .
አሉ ፡ እምኀበ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ዝናመ ፡ ጸደይ ፡ ወመጸው ። እግዚአብሔር ፡ ብ ፡ ለምትሐተ ፡ ዐይን ፡ ወይሁቦሙ ፡ ዝናመ ፡ ተወን ፡ ወያበቊል ፡ ሣዕረ ፡ በገዳም ።
Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.
10:2 ⧉ ⤴︎ כִּ֧י הַתְּרָפִ֣ים דִּבְּרוּ ־אָ֗וֶן וְהַקּֽוֹסְמִים֙ חָ֣זוּ שֶׁ֔קֶר וַֽחֲלֹמוֹת֙ הַשָּׁ֣וְא יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ הֶ֖בֶל יְנַחֵמ֑וּן עַל ־כֵּן֙ נָסְע֣וּ כְמוֹ ־צֹ֔אן יַעֲנ֖וּ כִּי ־אֵ֥ין רֹעֶֽה ׃ {פ}
διότι οἱ ἀποφθεγγόμενοι ἐλάλησαν κόπους καὶ οἱ μάντεις ὁράσεις ψευδεῖς καὶ τὰ ἐνύπνια ψευδῆ ἐλάλουν μάταια παρεκάλουν διὰ τοῦτο ἐξήρθησαν ὡς πρόβατα καὶ ἐκακώθησαν διότι οὐκ ἦν ἴασις
Quia simulacra locuta sunt inutile , et divini viderunt mendacium : et somniatores locuti sunt frustra , vane consolabantur : idcirco abducti sunt quasi grex : affligentur , quia non est eis pastor .
እስመ ፡ እለ ፡ ትዋስኡ ፡ ነበቡ ፡ ፃማ ፡ ወእለ ፡ ሰግሉ ፡ ርእዩ ፡ ሐሰት ፡ ወነገሩ ፡ ህልመ ፡ ሀሰት ፡ ወከንቶ ፡ መሐሩ ፡ ወበእንተ ፡ ዝናቱ ፡ ደወዩ ፡ ከመ ፡ አባግዕ ፡ ወየብሱ ፡ እስመ ፡ አልቦ ፡ ሣህለ ።
For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie; and they have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd.
10:3 ⧉ ⤴︎ עַל ־הָֽרֹעִים֙ חָרָ֣ה אַפִּ֔י וְעַל ־הָעַתּוּדִ֖ים אֶפְק֑וֹד כִּֽי ־פָקַד֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה צְבָא֤וֹת אֶת ־עֶדְרוֹ֙ אֶת ־בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה וְשָׂ֣ם אוֹתָ֔ם כְּס֥וּס הוֹד֖וֹ בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה ׃
ἐπὶ τοὺς ποιμένας παρωξύνθη ὁ θυμός μου καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀμνοὺς ἐπισκέψομαι καὶ ἐπισκέψεται κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ τὸ ποίμνιον αὐτοῦ τὸν οἶκον Ιουδα καὶ τάξει αὐτοὺς ὡς ἵππον εὐπρεπῆ αὐτοῦ ἐν πολέμῳ
Super pastores iratus est furor meus , et super hircos visitabo : quia visitavit Dominus exercituum gregem suum , domum Juda , et posuit eos quasi equum gloriae suae in bello .
እስመ ፡ ነደት ፡ መዐትየ ፡ ላዕክ ፡ ኖሎት ፡ ወእዋሕየሙ ፡ ለአባግዕየ ። ወይሔውጾ ፡ እግዚእሔር ፡ ዘኲሎ ፡ ይመልክ ፡ ለመርዔቱ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ወይርስሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ፈረስ ፡ ሥሙር ፡ ለጸብእ ።
My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats, for Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle.
10:4 ⧉ ⤴︎ מִמֶּ֤נּוּ פִנָּה֙ מִמֶּ֣נּוּ יָתֵ֔ד מִמֶּ֖נּוּ קֶ֣שֶׁת מִלְחָמָ֑ה מִמֶּ֛נּוּ יֵצֵ֥א כׇל ־נוֹגֵ֖שׂ יַחְדָּֽו ׃
καὶ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἐπέβλεψεν καὶ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἔταξεν καὶ ἐξ αὐτοῦ τόξον ἐν θυμῷ ἐξ αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσεται πᾶς ὁ ἐξελαύνων ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ
Ex ipso angulus , ex ipso paxillus , ex ipso arcus praelii , ex ipso egredietur omnis exactor simul .
ወእምኔሁ ፡ ርእየ ፡ ወእምኔሁ ፡ ረሰየ ፡ ቀስተ ፡ ለመዐቱ ፡ ወእምኔሁ ፡ ይወፅእ ፡ ኲሉ ፡ ዘየነድእ ፡ ቦቱ ።
From him will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.
10:5 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֨וּ כְגִבֹּרִ֜ים בּוֹסִ֨ים בְּטִ֤יט חוּצוֹת֙ בַּמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וְנִ֨לְחֲמ֔וּ כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה עִמָּ֑ם וְהֹבִ֖ישׁוּ רֹכְבֵ֥י סוּסִֽים ׃
καὶ ἔσονται ὡς μαχηταὶ πατοῦντες πηλὸν ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς ἐν πολέμῳ καὶ παρατάξονται διότι κύριος μετ’ αὐτῶν καὶ καταισχυνθήσονται ἀναβάται ἵππων
Et erunt quasi fortes conculcantes lutum viarum in praelio , et bellabunt , quia Dominus cum eis : et confundentur ascensores equorum .
ወይከውኑ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘይከይድ ፡ ጽንጒነ ፡ መርሕብ ፡ እንዘ ፡ ይትበአስ ፡ በውስተ ፡ ፍኖተ ፡ ቀትል ፡ ወይረውዱ ፡ ወኢይክልዎ ፡ እስመ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ ምስሌሁ ፡ ወይትኀፈሩ ፡ መስተጽዕናነ ፡ አፍራስ ።
They will be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle. They will fight, because Yahweh is with them. The riders on horses will be confounded.
10:6 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגִבַּרְתִּ֣י ׀ אֶת ־בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֗ה וְאֶת ־בֵּ֤ית יוֹסֵף֙ אוֹשִׁ֔יעַ וְהֽוֹשְׁבוֹתִים֙ כִּ֣י רִֽחַמְתִּ֔ים וְהָי֖וּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא ־זְנַחְתִּ֑ים כִּ֗י אֲנִ֛י יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם וְאֶעֱנֵֽם ׃
καὶ κατισχύσω τὸν οἶκον Ιουδα καὶ τὸν οἶκον Ιωσηφ σώσω καὶ κατοικιῶ αὐτούς ὅτι ἠγάπησα αὐτούς καὶ ἔσονται ὃν τρόπον οὐκ ἀπεστρεψάμην αὐτούς διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπακούσομαι αὐτοῖς
Et confortabo domum Juda , et domum Joseph salvabo : et convertam eos , quia miserebor eorum : et erunt sicut fuerunt quando non projeceram eos : ego enim Dominus Deus eorum , et exaudiam eos .
ወአጸንዖ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ ይሁዳ ፡ ውኅኖ ፡ ለቤተ ፡ ዩሴፍ ፡ ወእመይጦሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ አፍቀርክዎሙ ፡ ወይከውነኑከመ ፡ አመ ፡ ሜጥክዎሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እግዚአብሔር ፡ አምላኮሙ ፡ እሠጠዎሙ ።
“I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, for I have mercy on them. They will be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.
10:7 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְהָי֤וּ כְגִבּוֹר֙ אֶפְרַ֔יִם וְשָׂמַ֥ח לִבָּ֖ם כְּמוֹ ־יָ֑יִן וּבְנֵיהֶם֙ יִרְא֣וּ וְשָׂמֵ֔חוּ יָגֵ֥ל לִבָּ֖ם בַּיהֹוָֽה ׃
καὶ ἔσονται ὡς μαχηταὶ τοῦ Εφραιμ καὶ χαρήσεται ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν ὡς ἐν οἴνῳ καὶ τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ὄψονται καὶ εὐφρανθήσονται καὶ χαρεῖται ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῷ κυρίῳ
Et erunt quasi fortes Ephraim , et laetabitur cor eorum quasi a vino : et filii eorum videbunt , et laetabuntur , et exsultabit cor eorum in Domino .
ወይከው ፡ ከመ ፡ መስተቃትላነ ፡ ኤፍሬም ፡ ወይትፌሥሖሙ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ ከመ ፡ ዘበወይን ፡ ወይሬእዩ ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ወይትኀሠዩ ፡ ወይትፌሣሕ ፡ ልቦሙ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ።
Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine. Yes, their children will see it and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh.
10:8 ⧉ ⤴︎ אֶשְׁרְקָ֥ה לָהֶ֛ם וַאֲקַבְּצֵ֖ם כִּ֣י פְדִיתִ֑ים וְרָב֖וּ כְּמ֥וֹ רָבֽוּ ׃
σημανῶ αὐτοῖς καὶ εἰσδέξομαι αὐτούς διότι λυτρώσομαι αὐτούς καὶ πληθυνθήσονται καθότι ἦσαν πολλοί
Sibilabo eis , et congregabo illos , quia redemi eos : et multiplicabo eos sicut ante fuerant multiplicati .
እትኤመሮሙ ፡ ወእትዌከፎሙ ፡ እስመ ፡ አነ ፡ እባልሖሙ ፡ ይበዝኁ ፡ በከመ ፡ ብዝኖመ ።
I will signal for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. They will increase as they were before.
10:9 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְאֶזְרָעֵם֙ בָּעַמִּ֔ים וּבַמֶּרְחַקִּ֖ים יִזְכְּר֑וּנִי וְחָי֥וּ אֶת ־בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם וָשָֽׁבוּ ׃
καὶ σπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν λαοῖς καὶ οἱ μακρὰν μνησθήσονταί μου ἐκθρέψουσιν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐπιστρέψουσιν
Et seminabo eos in populis , et de longe recordabuntur mei : et vivent cum filiis suis , et revertentur .
እዘርዎሙ ፡ ውስተ ፡ አሕዛብ ፡ ወእለሂ ፡ ርኁቃን ፡ ይዜከሩኒ ፡ ወይሐፅኑ ፡ ውሉዶሙ ፡ ወይትመየጡ ።
I will sow them among the peoples. They will remember me in far countries. They will live with their children and will return.
10:10 ⧉ ⤴︎ וַהֲשִֽׁבוֹתִים֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וּמֵאַשּׁ֖וּר אֲקַבְּצֵ֑ם וְאֶל ־אֶ֨רֶץ גִּלְעָ֤ד וּלְבָנוֹן֙ אֲבִיאֵ֔ם וְלֹ֥א יִמָּצֵ֖א לָהֶֽם ׃
καὶ ἐπιστρέψω αὐτοὺς ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐξ Ἀσσυρίων εἰσδέξομαι αὐτοὺς καὶ εἰς τὴν Γαλααδῖτιν καὶ εἰς τὸν Λίβανον εἰσάξω αὐτούς καὶ οὐ μὴ ὑπολειφθῇ ἐξ αὐτῶν οὐδὲ εἷς
Et reducam eos de terra Aegypti , et de Assyriis congregabo eos , et ad terram Galaad et Libani adducam eos , et non invenietur eis locus :
ወእሜጦሙ ፡ እምፋርስ ፡ ወእወስዶሙ ፡ ገለአድ ፡ ወውስተ ፡ ሊባኖስ ፡ ወኢይተረፍ ፡ አሐዱ ፡ እምኔሆሙ ።
I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria. I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them.
10:11 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְעָבַ֨ר בַּיָּ֜ם צָרָ֗ה וְהִכָּ֤ה בַיָּם֙ גַּלִּ֔ים וְהֹבִ֕ישׁוּ כֹּ֖ל מְצוּל֣וֹת יְאֹ֑ר וְהוּרַד֙ גְּא֣וֹן אַשּׁ֔וּר וְשֵׁ֥בֶט מִצְרַ֖יִם יָסֽוּר ׃
καὶ διελεύσονται ἐν θαλάσσῃ στενῇ καὶ πατάξουσιν ἐν θαλάσσῃ κύματα καὶ ξηρανθήσεται πάντα τὰ βάθη ποταμῶν καὶ ἀφαιρεθήσεται πᾶσα ὕβρις Ἀσσυρίων καὶ σκῆπτρον Αἰγύπτου περιαιρεθήσεται
et transibit in maris freto , et percutiet in mari fluctus , et confundentur omnia profunda fluminis : et humiliabitur superbia Assur , et sceptrum Aegypti recedet .
ወየኀልፋ ፡ እንተ ፡ ባህር ፡ ጻባብ ፡ ወይከይዱ ፡ ዲበ ፡ መዕበለ ፡ ባሕር ፡ ወይየብሱ ፡ ኲሉ ፡ ጽዕለተ ፡ ፋርስ ፡ ወይትአተት ፡ በትረ ፡ ግብጽ ።
He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart.
10:12 ⧉ ⤴︎ וְגִבַּרְתִּים֙ בַּיהֹוָ֔ה וּבִשְׁמ֖וֹ יִתְהַלָּ֑כוּ נְאֻ֖ם יְהֹוָֽה ׃ {פ}
καὶ κατισχύσω αὐτοὺς ἐν κυρίῳ θεῷ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ κατακαυχήσονται λέγει κύριος
Confortabo eos in Domino , et in nomine ejus ambulabunt , dicit Dominus .
ወአጸንኦሙ ፡ በእግዚአብሔር ፡ እላኮሙ ፡ ወይትሜክሑ ፡ በስምየ ፡ ይቤ ፡ እዚአብሔር ።
I will strengthen them in Yahweh. They will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh.
