5:1

አእምሮ፡ ለዘፈጠርከ፡ ወኢትርሥዖ፡ ለዘአፅንዓከ፡ ወአድኃነከ፡ ቅዱሰ፡ እስራኤል፡ እስመ፡ እንዘ፡ መሬት፡ አንተ፡ ረሰየከ፡ በአርአያሁ፡ ወበአምሳሌሁ፡ ወሤመከ፡ ውስተ፡ ገነት፡ ከመ፡ ትትፈጋዕ፡ ወትትገብራ፡ ለምድር።

Know your Creator, and do not forget Him who established you and saved you, the Holy One of Israel; for while you were earth, He made you in His likeness and His image, and set you in the garden, that you might rejoice and till the ground.

你當認識造你的主，不可忘記那堅固你、拯救你的，就是以色列的聖者；因為你還是塵土的時候，祂照祂的樣式和形像造了你，把你安置在園中，叫你歡喜並耕種土地。

5:2

ወሶበ፡ አለውከ፡ ትእዛዞ፡ አውፅአከ፡ እምህየ፡ ውስተ፡ ዛቲ፡ ምድር፡ ይብስት፡ ምድረ፡ ሦክ፡ ወአሜከላ፡ አንተ፡ ረገማ፡ በእንቲአከ።

And when you transgressed His commandment, He cast you out from there into this land, a dry land of thorns and thistles, which He cursed because of you.

當你干犯祂誡命的時候，祂就把你從那裡趕出，到這乾旱長荊棘蒺藜的地上，這地祂因你的緣故咒詛了。

5:3

እስመ፡ አንተ፡ ምድር፡ ወይእቲ፡ ምድር፡ ወአንተ፡ ሐመድ፡ ወይእቲ፡ ሐመድ፡ ወአንተ፡ መሬት፡ ወይእቲ፡ መሬት፡ ወትሴሰይ፡ እምኔሃ፡ ወትገብአ፡ ኀቤሃ፡ ወትከውን፡ ሐመደ፡ እስከ፡ አመ፡ ፈቀደ፡ ከመ፡ ያንሥእከ፡ ወያሐትተከ፡ ኵሎ፡ ዘገበርከ፡ አበሰ፡ ወኃጢአተ።

For you are earth, and she is earth; you are ashes, and she is ashes; you are dust, and she is dust; and you are fed from her, and to her you shall return, and you shall become dust, until the day He wills to raise you up and examine all the transgression and sin you have committed.

因為你本是塵土，地也是塵土；你是灰土，地也是灰土；你是泥土，地也是泥土；你由地得糧，也必歸回地裡，並要化為塵土，直到祂定意叫你復起，查問你所犯一切的過犯和罪孽。

5:4

ውእተ፡ ጊዜ፡ አእምር፡ ዘታውሥእ፡ ወትዘከር፡ በዝየ፡ ዘገበርከ፡ እኩየ፡ ወሠናየ፡ ወድሉ፡ ወምክር፡ ለእመ፡ ይበዝኅ፡ እኩይ፡ ወለእመ፡ ይበዝኅ፡ ሠናይ።

At that time know what you will answer, and remember here the evil and the good you have done; weigh and consider whether the evil abounds or the good abounds.

到那時，你要知道當怎樣回答；現今要記念你所行的善與惡；要衡量思想，看是惡多，還是善多。

5:5

ወለእመ፡ አብዛኅኮ፡ ለሠናይ፡ ሠናይ፡ ለከ፡ ከመ፡ ትትፈሣሕ፡ ወትትኃሠይ፡ በትንሣኤ፡ ሙታን።

And if you have done much good, it is good for you, that you may rejoice and be glad at the resurrection of the dead.

你若行了許多善，這對你便是好的，叫你在死人復活的時候歡喜快樂。

5:6

ወለእመ፡ አብዛኅኮ፡ ለእከይ፡ አሊ፡ ለከ፡ እስመ፡ ትትፈደይ፡ ብበከ፡ ግብረ፡ እደዊከ፡ ወበከመ፡ እከየ፡ ሕሊናከ፡ ወበከመ፡ ትፀውጎ፡ ለእኁከ፡ ወበከመ፡ ኢትፈርሆ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ትት፡ ፈደይ፡ በከመ፡ ምግባሪከ።

But if you have done much evil, woe to you! For you shall be requited according to the work of your hands, and according to the evil of your reasoning, and according to how you have wronged your brother, and according to how you did not fear God; you shall be requited according to your works.

你若行了許多惡，你就有禍了！因為你必照你手所行的、照你心思的惡、照你怎樣虧負弟兄、照你怎樣不敬畏神，受報應；你必照你的行為受報應。

5:7

ወበከመ፡ ትሔስዎ፡ ለቢጽከ፡ ወትምሐል፡ በሐሰት፡ ስመ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ትትፈደይ፡ በከመ፡ ምግባሪከ።

And according to how you betray your fellow, and swear falsely by the name of the Lord, you shall be requited according to your works.

你怎樣出賣同伴，怎樣指著耶和華的名起假誓，你就要照你的行為受報應。

5:8

እስመ፡ ትረሰዮ፡ ሐሰተ፡ ለቃልከ፡ ከመ፡ ይኩን፡ እሙነ፡ በአስተማሰሎ፡ ለቢጽከ፡ ወአንተሰ፡ ተአምር፡ ከመ፡ ሐሰተ፡ ትነብብ።

For you make your word a lie, that it may be believed by deceiving your fellow, even though you know that you speak a lie.

因為你使你的話成為謊言，藉欺哄同伴叫人信以為真，其實你明知自己所說的是謊言。

5:9

ወለእለሰ፡ ምስሌከ፡ ትቀውም፡ ከመ፡ ጽድቅ፡ ቃልከ፡ እንዘ፡ ታስተአምኖሙ፡ ወታበዝኅ፡ ነገረ፡ ኀበ፡ ዘኢኮነ፡ እሙነ፡ ጽድክ፡ ቃልከ፡ ወትትፈደይ፡ በከመ፡ ምግባሪከ፡ ወበከመ፡ አንተ፡ ትብል፡ እሁበከ፡ ኀበ፡ ዘኢትሁቦ፡ ለቢጽከ፡ ወዘትሔሰዎ፡ ለካልዕከ።

And to those who stand with you, you maintain your word as though it were truth, while you assure them and multiply talk where your word is not truly trustworthy; and you shall be requited according to your works, and according as you say, I will give you, to one to whom you give nothing, and betray your neighbor.

你向那些與你站在一處的人，把你的話堅持如真理一般，一面叫他們安心，一面在你的話本不可信實的地方多多言語；你必照你的行為受報應；你照你所說的「我必給你」，卻什麼都不給那人，並虧負你的鄰舍。
