4:1
ዝ፡ ውእቱ፡ መጽሐፈ፡ ትእዛዙ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወሕግ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ኵሎሙ፡ እለ፡ የዐቅብዋ፡ የሐይዉ፡ ወእለሰ፡ የኀድግዋ፡ ይመውቱ።
This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endures for ever: all those who hold it fast are appointed to life; but such as leave it shall die.
這就是天主誡命的書，是永遠長存的法律。凡持守她的，必得生命；凡離棄她的，必要死亡。
4:2
ተመየጥ፡ ያዕቆብ፡ አኀዝ፡ ወሑር፡ በብርሃና።
Turn you, O Jacob, and take hold of it: walk towards her shining in the presence of the light thereof.
雅各伯啊，你要回轉，握住她，朝著她的光輝、迎著她的光明邁進。
4:3
ኢተሀብ፡ ለባዕድ፡ ክብረከ፡ ዘይኄይሰከ፡ ለካልእ፡ ሕዝብ።
Give not your glory to another, nor the things that are profitable to you to a strange nation.
不要把你的榮耀讓給別人，不要把對你有益的事讓給異邦。
4:4
ብፁዓን፡ ንሕነ፡ እስራኤል፡ እስመ፡ ተዐውቀ፡ ሥምረቱ፡ ለአምላክነ፡ ላዕሌነ።
O Israel, happy are we: for the things that are pleasing to God are made known to us.
以色列啊，我們是有福的，因為凡天主所喜悅的事，都已為我們所知。
4:5
ተአመኑ፡ ሕዝብየ፡ ወተዘከሩ፡ እስራኤልኒ።
Be of good cheer, my people, the memorial of Israel.
我的百姓，以色列的記唸啊，你們要放心！
4:6
ተሣየጥኩክሙ፡ ለሕዝብ፡ አኮ፡ ለሐጕል፡ ዳእሙ፡ እስመ፡ አምዐዕክምዎ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ገባእክሙ፡ ለፀርክሙ።
You⌃ were sold to the nations, but not for destruction: because you⌃ moved God to wrath, you⌃ were delivered to your adversaries.
你們雖被賣與列邦，卻不是要滅亡；只因你們惹天主發怒，才被交在你們的仇敵手中。
4:7
ወወሐክምዎ፡ ለፈጣሪክሙ፡ ወሦዕክሙ፡ ለአጋንንት፡ ወአኮ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር።
For you⌃ provoked him that made you by sacrificing to demons, and not to God.
你們向邪魔獻祭，而不向天主獻祭，惹怒了那造你們的主。
4:8
ወረሳዕክምዎ፡ ለአምላክክሙ፡ ዘሐፀነክሙ፡ ለዓለም፡ ወአተከዝክምዋ፡ ለሐፃኒትክሙ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም።
You⌃ forgat the everlasting God, that brought you up; you⌃ grieved also Jerusalem, that nursed you.
你們忘記了那養育你們的永生天主，也使那哺育你們的耶路撒冷憂傷。
4:9
ሶበ፡ ርእየት፡ መቅሠፍተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዘመጽአክሙ፡ ትቤ፡ ስምዑ፡ ፈላስያነ፡ ጽዮን፡ እስመ፡ አምጽአ፡ ሊተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ዐቢየ፡ ላሐ።
For she saw the wrath that is come upon you from God, and said, Hearken, you⌃ women that dwell about Sion: for God has brought upon me great mourning;
因為她看見了那從天主臨到你們的忿怒，便說：『熙雍鄰近的婦女啊，你們聽吧！天主使極大的悲哀臨到了我；
4:10
ሶበ፡ ርኢኩ፡ ተፄውዎ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ወአዋልድየ፡ ዘአምጽአ፡ ሎሙ፡ ዘለዓለም።
for I have seen the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting has brought upon them.
因為我看見了我兒女被擄的事，就是那永生者使他們所遭受的。
4:11
እስመ፡ ሐፀንክዎሙ፡ በትፍሥሕት፡ ወባሕቱ፡ አስተፋነውክዎሙ፡ ምስለ፡ ብካይ፡ ወላሕ።
For with joy did I nourish them; but sent them away with weeping and mourning.
我曾歡歡喜喜地養育他們，卻含淚帶悲地打發他們離去。
4:12
አልቦ፡ ዘይትፌሣሕ፡ በእንቲኣየ፡ ለመበለት፡ ወለግድፍት፡ በኀበ፡ ብዙኃን፡ ትክዝት፡ አነ፡ በእንተ፡ ኀጢአቶሙ፡ ለደቂቅየ፡ እስመ፡ ርኅቁ፡ እምሕገ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Let no man rejoice over me, a widow, and forsaken of many: for the sins of my children am I left desolate; because they turned away from the law of God,
我這寡婦被眾人遺棄，誰也不要因我而幸災樂禍。我因我兒女的罪而淪為荒涼，因為他們背離了天主的法律，
4:13
ወለጽድቁሰ፡ ኢያእመርዋ፡ ወኢያንሶሰዎ፡ በፍኖተ፡ ትእዛዙ፡ ለእግዚአብሔር፡ ወኢበአሠረ፡ ተግሣጽ፡ ቦኡ፡ ውስተ፡ ጽድቁ።
and had no regard to his statutes, neither walked they in the ways of God’s commandments, nor trod in the paths of discipline in his righteousness.
不認識祂的法度，不肯行走天主誡命的道路，也不踏上祂正義訓誨的途徑。
4:14
ይምጽኡ፡ ፈላስያነ፡ ጽዮን፡ ወይዘከሩ፡ ፄዋ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ወአዋልድየ፡ ዘአምጽአ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ዘለዓለም።
Let those who dwell about Sion come, and remember you⌃ the captivity of my sons and daughters, which the Everlasting has brought upon them.
熙雍鄰近的婦女啊，你們前來吧！你們要記念我兒女被擄的事，就是那永生者使他們所遭受的。
4:15
እስመ፡ አምጽአ፡ ላዕሌሆሙ፡ ሕዝበ፡ እምርኁቅ፡ ሕዝብ፡ ዘኢየኀፍር፡ ወዘካልእ፡ ልሳን፡ እስመ፡ ኢያክበሩ፡ አረጋዌ፡ ወኢመሐርዎሙ፡ ለሕፃናት።
For he has brought a nation upon them from far, a shameless nation, and of a strange language, who neither reverenced old man, nor pitied child.
因為祂使一個遠方的民族來攻擊他們，那是一個無恥的民族，言語陌生；他們既不尊敬老人，也不憐恤孩童。
4:16
ወመሠጡ፡ ፍቁራኒሃ፡ ለመበለት፡ ወአተከዝዋ፡ ለአሐቲ፡ እምአዋልድ።
And they have carried away the dear beloved sons of the widow, and left her that was alone desolate of her daughters.
他們把寡婦所愛的兒子擄了去，使她孤孤單單，失去了女兒。
4:17
አንሰ፡ ባሕቱ፡ በምንት፡ እረድአክሙ።
But I, what can I help you?
至於我，又能怎樣幫助你們呢？
4:18
እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘአምጽአ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ እኩየ፡ ያወፅአክሙ፡ እምእደ፡ ጸላእትክሙ።
For he that brought these plagues upon you will deliver you from the hand of your enemies.
因為那使這些災禍臨到你們的，必要從你們仇敵的手中拯救你們。
4:19
አንሶስዉ፡ ደቂቅ፡ አንሶስዉ፡ እስመ፡ አንሰ፡ ኅድግት፡ ወምዝብርት።
Go your way, O my children, go your way: for I am left desolate.
我的兒女啊，你們走你們的路吧！因為我已被撇下，孤獨荒涼。
4:20
አውፃእኩ፡ ልብሰ፡ ሰላምየ፡ ወለበስኩ፡ ሠቀ፡ ሕማምየ፡ ወእጸርሕ፡ ኀበ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ በመዋዕልየ።
I have put off the garment of peace, and put upon me the sackcloth of my petition: I will cry to the Everlasting as long as I live.
我已脫去平安的衣裳，穿上了哀求的苦衣；我一生的日子都要向那永生者呼求。
4:21
ተአመኑ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ጽርሑ፡ ኀበ፡ አምላክ፡ ወያወፅአክሙ፡ እምልክናሆሙ፡ ወእምእዴሆሙ፡ ለጸላእትክሙ።
Be of good cheer, O my children, cry to God, and he shall deliver you from the power and hand of the enemies.
我的兒女啊，你們要放心，向天主呼求吧！祂必從仇敵的權勢和手中拯救你們。
4:22
እስመ፡ አነ፡ ተሰፈውኩ፡ እምኀበ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ አድኅኖተክሙ፡ ወመጽአ፡ ላዕሌየ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ እምቅዱስ፡ በእንተ፡ ምሕረት፡ ዘትመጽእ፡ ላዕሌክሙ፡ እምዘልዓለም፡ መድኃኒነ።
For I have trusted in the Everlasting, that he will save you; and joy is come to me from the Holy One, because of the mercy which shall soon come to you from the Everlasting your Saviour.
因為我已仰望那永生者，盼祂施行你們的救恩；那喜樂已從聖者臨到我，因祂的仁慈不久必從那永生者你們的救主臨到你們。
4:23
እስመ፡ አውፃእኩክሙ፡ ምስለ፡ ላሕ፡ ወብካይ፡ ወባሕቱ፡ ይመይጥ፡ ሊተ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ ኪያክሙ፡ ምስለ፡ ትፍሥሕት፡ ወኀሤት፡ ዘለዓለም።
For I sent you out with mourning and weeping: but God will give you to me again with joy and gladness forever.
我曾含悲帶淚地打發你們離去，但天主必使你們重歸於我，叫我永遠歡欣喜樂。
4:24
እስመ፡ በከመ፡ ርእያ፡ ይእዜ፡ አግዋሪሃ፡ ለጽዮን፡ ተፄውዎተክሙ፡ ከማሁ፡ ይሬእያ፡ ፍጡነ፡ መድኀኒትክሙ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እንተ፡ ትመጽአክሙ፡ በክብር፡ ዐቢይ፡ ወብርሃን፡ ዘለዓለም።
For like as now those who dwell about Sion have seen your captivity: so shall they see shortly your salvation from our God, which shall come upon you with great glory, and brightness of the Everlasting.
因為正如熙雍鄰近的婦女如今看見你們被擄，照樣，她們不久也必看見那從你們天主而來的救恩臨到你們，帶著那永生者極大的榮耀和光輝。
4:25
ደቂቅየ፡ በትዕግሥት፡ ተወክፉ፡ መቅሠፍተ፡ እንተ፡ መጽአትክሙ፡ እምኀበ፡ እግዚአብሔር፡ እስመ፡ ሰደድከ፡ ጸላኢከ፡ ወፍጡነ፡ ትሬኢ፡ ድቀቶ፡ ወተዐርግ፡ መልዕልተ፡ ርእሱ።
My children, suffer patiently the wrath that is come upon you from God: for your enemy has persecuted you; but shortly you shall see his destruction, and shall tread upon their necks.
我的兒女啊，你們要忍耐那從天主臨到你們的忿怒。你的仇敵雖逼迫了你，但你不久必看見他的滅亡，並要踏在他們的頸項上。
4:26
ልሑዳንየ፡ አንሶስዉ፡ ፍኖተ፡ መብእስ፡ ወመሠጥዎሙ፡ ጸላእት፡ ከመ፡ መርዔት፡ ዘተሐብለይዎ።
My delicate ones have gone rough ways; they were taken away as a flock carried off by the enemies.
我那嬌養的兒女走過了崎嶇的道路，他們如同被仇敵擄掠的羊羣一般被帶走了。
4:27
ተአመኑ፡ ደቂቅየ፡ ወጽርሑ፡ ኀበ፡ አምላክ፡ እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘወሰደክሙ፡ ይዜከረክሙ።
Be of good cheer, O my children, and cry to God: for you⌃ shall be remembered of him that has brought these things upon you.
我的兒女啊，你們要放心，向天主呼求吧！因為那使這些事臨到你們的，必要記念你們。
4:28
እስመ፡ በከመ፡ ኮነ፡ ፈቃድክሙ፡ ከመ፡ ትርኅቁ፡ እምእግዚአብሔር፡ ከማሁ፡ ዕሥረ፡ ድኅረ፡ ተመየጥክሙ፡ ተኀሥሥዎ።
For as it was your mind to go astray from God: so, return and seek him ten times more.
因為從前你們存心遠離了天主，如今你們要加十倍地回轉尋求祂。
4:29
እስመ፡ ውእቱ፡ ዘአምጽአ፡ ለክሙ፡ እኩየ፡ ለሊሁ፡ ያመጽእ፡ ለክ፡ ዳግመ፡ ትፍሥሕተ፡ ዘለዓለም፡ ምስለ፡ መድኀኒትክሙ።
For he that brought these plagues upon you shall bring you everlasting joy again with your salvation.
因為那使這些災禍臨到你們的，必再使你們得救，並把永遠的喜樂帶給你們。
4:30
ተአመኒ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ ያተፌሥሐኪ፡ ዘሰመየኪ።
Be of good cheer, O Jerusalem: for he that called you by name will comfort you.
耶路撒冷啊，你要放心！那以名召叫你的，必要安慰你。
4:31
ወየኀሥሩ፡ እለ፡ ሣቀዩኪ፡ ወእለ፡ ተፈሥሑ፡ በድቀትኪ።
Miserable are those who afflicted you, and rejoiced at your fall.
那些苦害你、因你的傾覆而幸災樂禍的人，是可悲的。
4:32
የኀሥራ፡ አህጉር፡ እለ፡ ቀነያ፡ ደቂቅኪ፡ ወእለ፡ ተመጠዉ፡ ውሉደኪ።
Miserable are the cities which your children served: miserable is she that received your sons.
那些奴役你兒女的城邑是可悲的，那接納你兒子的城是可悲的。
4:33
በከመ፡ ተፈሥሐት፡ በሙስናኪ፡ ወተኀሥየት፡ በድቀትኪ፡ ከማሁ፡ ትቴክዝ፡ በጥፍአታ።
For as she rejoiced at your fall, and was glad of your ruin: so shall she be grieved for her own desolation.
因為正如她曾因你的傾覆而歡喜、因你的敗亡而喜樂，照樣，她也必為自己的荒涼而憂傷。
4:34
ወእገዝም፡ እምኀቤሃ፡ ብዝኀ፡ ትፍሥሕታ፡ ወፍሥሓሃ፡ ይገብእ፡ ኀበ፡ ላሕ።
And I will take away her exultation in her great multitude, and her boasting shall be turned into mourning.
我必除去她因人多而生的歡躍，她的誇耀必變為哀傷。
4:35
እስመ፡ ይመጽኣ፡ እሳት፡ እምዘለዓለም፡ ለነዋኅ፡ መዋዕል፡ ወትከውን፡ ማኅደረ፡ አጋንንት፡ ለብዙኅ፡ አዝማን።
For fire shall come upon her from the Everlasting, long to endure; and she shall be inhabited of devils for a great time.
因為必有火從那永生者臨到她，存留多日；她必長久為邪魔所居。
4:36
ነጽሪ፡ ኢየሩሳሌም፡ መንገለ፡ ጽባሕ፡ ወርእዪ፡ ፍሥሐ፡ ዘመጽአ፡ ለኪ፡ እምኀበ፡ አምላክኪ።
O Jerusalem, look about you toward the east, and behold the joy that comes to you from God.
耶路撒冷啊，你要向東觀望，看那從天主臨到你的喜樂。
4:37
ናሁ፡ መጽኡ፡ ደቂቅኪ፡ ወተጋብኡ፡ እለ፡ ፈነውኪ፡ እምጽባሕ፡ እስከ፡ ዐረብ፡ በቃሉ፡ ለቅዱስ፡ ወይትፌሥሑ፡ በስብሐተ፡ እግዚአብሔር።
Behold, your sons come, whom you sent away, they come gathered together from the east to the west at the word of the Holy One, rejoicing in the glory of God.
看，你的兒女回來了，就是你所打發離去的；他們聽從聖者的話，從東到西聚集回來，因天主的榮耀而歡欣。
