6:1

ውሉድኒ ተአዘዙ ለአዝማዲክሙ በእግዚእነ እስመ ጽድቅ ውእቱ ዝንቱ።

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

你們作兒女的，要在主裏聽從父母，這是理所當然的。

6:2

ወቀዳሚ ትእዛዝ በውስተ ሥርዐት አክብር አባከ ወእመከ።

“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:

「要孝敬父母，使你得福，在世長壽。」這是第一條帶應許的誡命。

6:3

ከመ ሠናየ ይኩንከ ወይኑኅ መዋዕሊከ በዲበ ምድር።

“that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”

「要孝敬父母，使你得福，在世長壽。」這是第一條帶應許的誡命。

6:4

አበውኒ ኢታስተቍጥዑ ወሉደክሙ አላ ሕፅኑ ወገሥጹ በትምህርተ እግዚአብሔር።

You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

你們作父親的，不要惹兒女的氣，只要照着主的教訓和警戒養育他們。

6:5

ነባሪኒ ተአዘዙ ለአጋእዝቲክሙ እለ ይኴንኑክሙ በሥጋክሙ በፍርሀት ወበረዓድ ወበልብ ስፉሕ ከመ ዘለክርቶስ።

Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,

你們作僕人的，要懼怕戰兢，用誠實的心聽從你們肉身的主人，好像聽從基督一般。

6:6

ወአኮ ከመ ዘያደሉ ለዐይነ ሰብእ አላ ከመ አግብርተ ክርስቶስ እለ ይገብሩ ፈቃዶ ለእግዚአብሔር።

not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

不要只在眼前事奉，像是討人喜歡的，要像基督的僕人，從心裏遵行上帝的旨意。

6:7

ወበኵሉ ነፍስክሙ ተቀነዩ ሎሙ በአፍቅሮ ከመ ዘለእግዚአብሔር ወአኮ ከመ ዘለሰብእ።

with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,

甘心事奉，好像服事主，不像服事人。

6:8

እንዘ ተአምሩ ከመ ኵሉ ዘገብረ ሠናየ ይትዐሰይ በኀበ እግዚአብሔር እመኒ ነባሪ ወእመኒ አግዓዚ።

knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.

因為曉得各人所行的善事，不論是為奴的，是自主的，都必按所行的得主的賞賜。

6:9

ወአጋእዝትኒ ዕሩየ ግበሩ ሎሙ እንዘ ታቈርሩ መዓተክሙ ወተኀድጉ ሎሙ አበሳሆሙ ተአምሩ ከመ ብክሙ እግዚእ በሰማያት ዘኢያደሉ ለገጽ።

You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

你們作主人的，待僕人也是一理，不要威嚇他們。因為知道，他們和你們同有一位主在天上；他並不偏待人。
