5:1
Περὶ δὲ τῶν χρόνων καὶ τῶν καιρῶν, ἀδελφοί, οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ὑμῖν γράφεσθαι·
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
弟兄們，論到時候、日期，不用寫信給你們，
5:2
αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀκριβῶς οἴδατε ὅτι ἡμέρα κυρίου ὡς κλέπτης ἐν νυκτὶ οὕτως ἔρχεται.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
因為你們自己明明曉得，主的日子來到，好像夜間的賊一樣。
5:3
ὅταν λέγωσιν, εἰρήνη καὶ ἀσφάλεια, τότε αἰφνίδιος αὐτοῖς ἐπίσταται ὄλεθρος ὥσπερ ἡ ὠδὶν τῇ ἐν γαστρὶ ἐχούσῃ, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκφύγωσιν.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
人正說「平安穩妥」的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同產難臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。
5:4
ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, οὐκ ἐστὲ ἐν σκότει, ἵνα ἡ ἡμέρα ὑμᾶς ὡς κλέπτης καταλάβῃ,
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
弟兄們，你們卻不在黑暗裏，叫那日子臨到你們像賊一樣。
5:5
πάντες γὰρ ὑμεῖς υἱοὶ φωτός ἐστε καὶ υἱοὶ ἡμέρας. οὐκ ἐσμὲν νυκτὸς οὐδὲ σκότους·
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
你們都是光明之子，都是白晝之子。我們不是屬黑夜的，也不是屬幽暗的。
5:6
ἄρα οὖν μὴ καθεύδωμεν ὡς οἱ λοιποί, ἀλλὰ γρηγορῶμεν καὶ νήφωμεν.
so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
所以，我們不要睡覺像別人一樣，總要警醒謹守。
5:7
οἱ γὰρ καθεύδοντες νυκτὸς καθεύδουσιν, καὶ οἱ μεθυσκόμενοι νυκτὸς μεθύουσιν·
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
因為睡了的人是在夜間睡，醉了的人是在夜間醉。
5:8
ἡμεῖς δὲ ἡμέρας ὄντες νήφωμεν, ἐνδυσάμενοι θώρακα πίστεως καὶ ἀγάπης καὶ περικεφαλαίαν ἐλπίδα σωτηρίας·
But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
但我們既然屬乎白晝，就應當謹守，把信和愛當作護心鏡遮胸，把得救的盼望當作頭盔戴上。
5:9
ὅτι οὐκ ἔθετο ἡμᾶς ὁ θεὸς εἰς ὀργὴν ἀλλὰ εἰς περιποίησιν σωτηρίας διὰ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ,
For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
因為上帝不是預定我們受刑，乃是預定我們藉着我們主耶穌基督得救。
5:10
τοῦ ἀποθανόντος περὶ ἡμῶν ἵνα εἴτε γρηγορῶμεν εἴτε καθεύδωμεν ἅμα σὺν αὐτῷ ζήσωμεν.
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
他替我們死，叫我們無論醒着，睡着，都與他同活。
5:11
διὸ παρακαλεῖτε ἀλλήλους καὶ οἰκοδομεῖτε εἷς τὸν ἕνα, καθὼς καὶ ποιεῖτε.
Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
所以，你們該彼此勸慰，互相建立，正如你們素常所行的。
5:12
Ἐρωτῶμεν δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, εἰδέναι τοὺς κοπιῶντας ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ προϊσταμένους ὑμῶν ἐν κυρίῳ καὶ νουθετοῦντας ὑμᾶς,
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
弟兄們，我們勸你們敬重那在你們中間勞苦的人，就是在主裏面治理你們、勸戒你們的；
5:13
καὶ ἡγεῖσθαι αὐτοὺς ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ ἐν ἀγάπῃ διὰ τὸ ἔργον αὐτῶν. εἰρηνεύετε ἐν αὐτοῖς.
and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
又因他們所做的工，用愛心格外尊重他們。你們也要彼此和睦。
5:14
παρακαλοῦμεν δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, νουθετεῖτε τοὺς ἀτάκτους, παραμυθεῖσθε τοὺς ὀλιγοψύχους, ἀντέχεσθε τῶν ἀσθενῶν, μακροθυμεῖτε πρὸς πάντας.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
我們又勸弟兄們，要警戒不守規矩的人，勉勵灰心的人，扶助軟弱的人，也要向眾人忍耐。
5:15
ὁρᾶτε μή τις κακὸν ἀντὶ κακοῦ τινι ἀποδοῖ, ἀλλὰ πάντοτε τὸ ἀγαθὸν διώκετε εἰς ἀλλήλους καὶ εἰς πάντας.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
你們要謹慎，無論是誰都不可以惡報惡；或是彼此相待，或是待眾人，常要追求良善。
5:16
πάντοτε χαίρετε,
Always rejoice.
要常常喜樂，
5:17
ἀδιαλείπτως προσεύχεσθε,
Pray without ceasing.
不住地禱告，
5:18
ἐν παντὶ εὐχαριστεῖτε· τοῦτο γὰρ θέλημα θεοῦ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ εἰς ὑμᾶς.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
凡事謝恩；因為這是上帝在基督耶穌裏向你們所定的旨意。
5:19
τὸ πνεῦμα μὴ σβέννυτε,
Don’t quench the Spirit.
不要消滅聖靈的感動；
5:20
προφητείας μὴ ἐξουθενεῖτε·
Don’t despise prophecies.
不要藐視先知的講論。
5:21
πάντα δὲ δοκιμάζετε, τὸ καλὸν κατέχετε,
Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.
但要凡事察驗；善美的要持守，
5:22
ἀπὸ παντὸς εἴδους πονηροῦ ἀπέχεσθε.
Abstain from every form of evil.
各樣的惡事要禁戒不做。
5:23
Αὐτὸς δὲ ὁ θεὸς τῆς εἰρήνης ἁγιάσαι ὑμᾶς ὁλοτελεῖς, καὶ ὁλόκληρον ὑμῶν τὸ πνεῦμα καὶ ἡ ψυχὴ καὶ τὸ σῶμα ἀμέμπτως ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τηρηθείη.
May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
願賜平安的上帝親自使你們全然成聖！又願你們的靈與魂與身子得蒙保守，在我們主耶穌基督降臨的時候，完全無可指摘！
5:24
πιστὸς ὁ καλῶν ὑμᾶς, ὃς καὶ ποιήσει.
He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.
那召你們的本是信實的，他必成就這事。
5:25
Ἀδελφοί, προσεύχεσθε περὶ ἡμῶν.
Brothers, pray for us.
請弟兄們為我們禱告。
5:26
ἀσπάσασθε τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς πάντας ἐν φιλήματι ἁγίῳ.
Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
與眾弟兄親嘴問安，務要聖潔。
5:27
ἐνορκίζω ὑμᾶς τὸν κύριον ἀναγνωσθῆναι τὴν ἐπιστολὴν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς.
I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.
我指着主囑咐你們，要把這信念給眾弟兄聽。
5:28
Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μεθ’ ὑμῶν.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
願我主耶穌基督的恩常與你們同在！
