Igitur , si consurrexistis cum Christo : quae sursum sunt quaerite , ubi Christus est in dextera Dei sedens :
If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.
所以，你們若真與基督一同復活，就當求在上面的事；那裏有基督坐在上帝的右邊。

quae sursum sunt sapite , non quae super terram .
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.
你們要思念上面的事，不要思念地上的事。

Mortui enim estis , et vita vestra est abscondita cum Christo in Deo .
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
因為你們已經死了，你們的生命與基督一同藏在上帝裏面。

Cum Christus apparuerit , vita vestra : tunc et vos apparebitis cum ipso in gloria .
When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.
基督是我們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同顯現在榮耀裏。

Mortificate ergo membra vestra , quae sunt super terram : fornicationem , immunditiam , libidinem , concupiscentiam malam , et avaritiam , quae est simulacrorum servitus :
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。

propter quae venit ira Dei super filios incredulitatis :
For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
因這些事，上帝的忿怒必臨到那悖逆之子。
3:7▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
in quibus et vos ambulastis aliquando , cum viveretis in illis .
You also once walked in those, when you lived in them,
當你們在這些事中活着的時候，也曾這樣行過。
3:8▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Nunc autem deponite et vos omnia : iram , indignationem , malitiam , blasphemiam , turpem sermonem de ore vestro .
but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
但現在你們要棄絕這一切的事，以及惱恨、忿怒、惡毒 、毀謗，並口中污穢的言語。

Nolite mentiri invicem , expoliantes vos veterem hominem cum actibus suis ,
Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
不要彼此說謊；因你們已經脫去舊人和舊人的行為，
3:10▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
et induentes novum eum , qui renovatur in agnitionem secundum imaginem ejus qui creavit illum :
and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,
穿上了新人。這新人在知識上漸漸更新，正如造他主的形像。
3:11▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
ubi non est gentilis et Judaeus , circumcisio et praeputium , Barbarus et Scytha , servus et liber : sed omnia , et in omnibus Christus .
where there can’t be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondservant, or free person; but Christ is all, and in all.
在此並不分希臘人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，化外人、西古提人，為奴的、自主的，惟有基督是包括一切，又住在各人之內。
3:12▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Induite vos ergo , sicut electi Dei , sancti , et dilecti , viscera misericordiae , benignitatem , humilitatem , modestiam , patientiam :
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;
所以，你們既是上帝的選民，聖潔蒙愛的人，就要存 憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔、忍耐的心。
3:13▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
supportantes invicem , et donantes vobismetipsis si quis adversus aliquem habet querelam : sicut et Dominus donavit vobis , ita et vos .
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
倘若這人與那人有嫌隙，總要彼此包容，彼此饒恕；主怎樣饒恕了你們，你們也要怎樣饒恕人。
3:14▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Super omnia autem haec , caritatem habete , quod est vinculum perfectionis :
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
在這一切之外，要存着愛心，愛心就是聯絡全德的。
3:15▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
et pax Christi exsultet in cordibus vestris , in qua et vocati estis in uno corpore : et grati estote .
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
又要叫基督的平安在你們心裏作主；你們也為此蒙召，歸為一體；且要存感謝的心。
3:16▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Verbum Christi habitet in vobis abundanter , in omni sapientia , docentes , et commonentes vosmetipsos , psalmis , hymnis , et canticis spiritualibus , in gratia cantantes in cordibus vestris Deo .
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
當用各樣的智慧，把基督的道理豐豐富富地存在心裏 ，用詩章、頌詞、靈歌，彼此教導，互相勸戒，心被恩感，歌頌上帝。
3:17▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Omne , quodcumque facitis in verbo aut in opere , omnia in nomine Domini Jesu Christi , gratias agentes Deo et Patri per ipsum .
Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
無論做甚麼，或說話或行事，都要奉主耶穌的名，藉着他感謝父上帝。

Mulieres , subditae estote viris , sicut oportet , in Domino .
Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
你們作妻子的，當順服自己的丈夫，這在主裏面是相宜的。
3:19▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Viri , diligite uxores vestras , et nolite amari esse ad illas .
Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
你們作丈夫的，要愛你們的妻子，不可苦待她們。
3:20▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Filii , obedite parentibus per omnia : hoc enim placitum est in Domino .
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord.
你們作兒女的，要凡事聽從父母，因為這是主所喜悅的。
3:21▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Patres , nolite ad indignationem provocare filios vestros , ut non pusillo animo fiant .
Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged.
你們作父親的，不要惹兒女的氣，恐怕他們失了志氣。
3:22▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Servi , obedite per omnia dominis carnalibus , non ad oculum servientes , quasi hominibus placentes , sed in simplicitate cordis , timentes Deum .
Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.
你們作僕人的，要凡事聽從你們肉身的主人，不要只在眼前事奉，像是討人喜歡的，總要存心誠實敬畏主。
3:23▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
Quodcumque facitis , ex animo operamini sicut Domino , et non hominibus :
And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
無論做甚麼，都要從心裏做，像是給主做的，不是給人做的，
3:24▷ ⧉ ⤴︎
scientes quod a Domino accipietis retributionem haereditatis . Domino Christo servite .
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
因你們知道從主那裏必得着基業為賞賜；你們所事奉的乃是主基督。

Qui enim injuriam facit , recipiet id quod inique gessit : et non est personarum acceptio apud Deum .
But he who does wrong will receive again for the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.
那行不義的必受不義的報應；主並不偏待人。
